Vulture is a predator born to lead. And just like his brothers, he is a ghost. A code name that no one can trace, but he never breaks a promise. Or a deal sealed with blood.
Until a new contract brings him face to face with his fated mate.
Danielle never expected to end up in a nightmare. With no escape in sight, she’s willing to give everything the vampires demand, as long as they never learn her secrets. A timid woman shrinking in a cage is not a challenge for the bloodsuckers. But if her captors learn about her magic, there will be fresh hell to pay.
Vulture and Danielle will have to face their enemies if they are to keep their bond. But the more time they spend together, the more tangled the never-ending web of lies becomes. Survival hangs by a thread for them both.
Safety now has a different price.
Because if the little mate continues to wreak havoc in Vulture’s cold heart, she will awaken a ferocious beast — one who requires another kind of payment as her personal debt.
And she’ll have to pay it from her knees.

I hate giving negative reviews, I really do. I know and respect how much work goes into writing a book. But if I was only honest about books I like, well then I wouldn't be very honest.
So, honestly, this is a book I thought I'd never finish. I like dark romance but this one was not for me. I didn't like any of the characters and hated the romance, but the plot was okay.
Characters
Vulture: He was an absolute psychopath for the first 25% of the book. His whole personality is being dominant. Oh, and being an honourable murderer that protects what's his. I genuinely can't think of any other trait.
Danielle: Goes from crying non-stop thinking she's going to die to being madly in love with her kidnapper. Very reasonable, right? I actually considered the possibility of stockholm syndrome but I don't think it lines up. She comes into powers and can fight, but is generally happy to sit back and let the man make all the decisions.
I don't remember any of the other characters and I only finished this book half an hour ago.
Romance
I can't forgive kidnapping a drunk girl, stripping her naked while she's unconscious, and locking her in a cage where she is made eat food of the ground like a dog. Not my kind of first date. But, hey, why wouldn't you fall madly in love with a guy who's threatening to torture you. One page she was dying to escape, the next she was dying to get in his pants and be with him ForEveR.
Plot
Decent to be fair. Pureblood vampires are threatened with extinction. A relic is capable of ending the species or saving it. Only one person can understand the relic, and that's Danielle. At the beginning she fights to keep the relic's secrets, and now, she's fighting to stay alive. There is lots of action scenes (fighting).
This is my honest opinion, and not intended to cause offence. Other readers may have a more positive experience.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. If you'd like to know more about potential triggers, feel free to message me.
A dark vampire romance feature one who is stronger than he appears, one who has more secrets than she is willing to reveal. Predators, prey, only the cunning will survive the betrayal and the truth. Will Vulture's fated mate successfully transition from timid to bold? Will Danielle's journey come to an abrupt end or will she soar in the knowledge beyond the hidden? Will they face their enemies as a united front or will doubts tear apart their union?
“Easy, little bird. You’ll wear yourself out before it’s time to play.”
Vulture is one of the Order of the Condor, a vampire and specially bred killer whose latest contract becomes a little more complicated than he first imagined. An ancient relic, a multimillion dollar bid, a sassy museum curator, fated mates, hidden agendas, prophecy, vampires, magic, danger, and sizzling chemistry brew into quite an intense situation. There is definitely more to the situation than he expected. He is the predator and Danielle just became his prey. Outbidding her at the auction was just the first step in his plan- abducting her his second step- now, if he can only get her to cooperate and divulge everything she knows about the relic. Danielle was outbid at the auction, then abducted and thrown in a cage- held captive by the monster for hire. Her world changes in an instant when she realises that all the tales she’s heard aren’t fantasy, they are in fact real- monsters and the supernatural really do exist…... and the fate of the vampire world is at stake. Code Name: Vulture is the first book in The Order of the Condor Series by Maya Daniels & Sylvia Black. It is a dark paranormal romance with vampires, the supernatural, suspense, action, violence, drama, chemistry, sizzle, danger, magic, bondage, dominance, abduction, captivity, agendas, and mystery. There were some intense scenes that had me holding my breath, as well as some darkish themes. This is a fairly fast-paced story full of descriptive details- but, I felt like the story suffered a little, at times, due to the hectic pace. I also had a few issues where the wrong word/s were used, for example; esthetic instead of ecstatic- two similar words but with very different meanings…. they pulled me out of the story and had me rereading parts to try to make sense of what I had read. Code Name: Falcon (Book #2) continues the story of the Order of the Condor- with Falcon and Cara’s story…
This is such a great story! I love how work is Danielle's passion, the excitement of discovering secret histories and beliefs, only to learn that not all myths are just stories - some are very real! Vulture and his brothers seem almost in a rut, taking contracts, killing the bad guys, take a new contract, kill a few more - not a bad life by any means but not very challenging for a Pureblood Vampire. As with all things, change always comes ~ the new contract seems simple enough, should be a walk in the park right?! Oh no buddy, you got your arms full now! Danielle may be sweet and innocent but shes got an inner fire waiting to get ignited!
Ddaaaaaannnnnnggggg!!!!! I needed this book more than I knew. Holy heck. Vulture is seriously deliciously written. Danielle really didn’t see that one coming. I cannot wait for the next book, I’m invested.
Danielle is a curator for the Brandian Arts Museum, a job which she loves, but she also misses being out on the ground where she can dig in the dirt and put the pieces of a puzzle together, but on this night, she is at an auction and about to bid for a relic which she knows more about than she should, thanks to an old friend who has just passed away. As she is preparing to bid on this relic, she is in her element and cannot wait to finally have this in her possession, despite the fact that the auction was a last minute affair and the listing were not posted beforehand like they usually are, however, soon she is outbid by a man with a gravelly voice whom she has never seen before and who disappears immediately after he has won the prize. A couple of weeks later on and she is at her office at the museum where her best friend is telling her to snap out of the mood she has been in since this stranger waltzed into her life and took something she wanted right out from under her feet, so that when they go for a meal and a few drinks later on, she enjoys herself until she falls asleep in the taxi home.
Vulture is a brother in the Order of the Condor and a Pureblood Vampyr, he is a ghost with only a code name to identify him by and he is the most dangerous predator out there by miles, so when he is given a contract to retrieve a relic and a museum curator, he thinks no more of it until they collide at the auction. Vulture is dangerously captivated by her angelic looks and fierce personality, but the information he has to retrieve from her is not as forthcoming as he had hoped. Meanwhile, Danielle is coming to terms with the huge adjustment she will need to make to being in a cage and having to spill her darkest secrets to the man who she can’t deny she is attracted to, but as her containment continues, she realises that she will not be able to hide one of her secrets, but that she must hide the other in order to survive.
As Vulture tries to fulfil his contract and realises that something is amiss and when a last minute change of plans tests his patience to the limits, he realises just how much Danielle means to him and what he could lose if something happens to her, but will they be able to keep each other safe so they can explore the connection neither of them can deny, or will the worst come to the worst and their bond be broken? This is a dark paranormal romance with danger round every corner as fated mates struggle to stay by the others side as they solve a mystery eons old together, this fast paced and entertaining tale will keep you on your toes right up until the end.
I loved this book so much! I have read other works by one of the authors that helped create this wonderful novel. It was so good, the story line really drew you in, and you had more than a connection with the characters or the events surrounding them...you felt like you were right there with them! The book and writing was well done, there were surprises as I read through, and those are always welcome for sure.
This one I felt was a different take on the supernatural world where creatures only defined as supernatural lived and made a life, keeping things in order as they felt they needed and should. Danielle is unknown to this well to her, a secret and hidden world when she is in a auction to her an she is then thrust into a world and new life, she never even thought would even be real, and she is ready with her strong will to take all of this that comes with her life head strong forward! She meets Vulture, Danielle has been assigned to be his mate. Though the lust that each had for one another was very much there, neither wanted to admit to it. I kind of expected that for the most part. Seriously though, the heat impact from the challenges they faced really wanted me to see them go at it and let their passion really dig deep, and I mean really deep! Danielle was assigned really to protecting a ancient artifact, and even in Vulture's world she was doing so though. As things happened more and more …I found loose ends tired together and things came to light. Answers came to me, and I still wanted more. The novel was amazing from start to finish and truly gave me everything I would want and so much more as well!
The novel gave so much to the myself as the reader. I was given hot and steam moments, as well good dialogue that went along with the drama and obstacles that Vulture and Daniele had faced together. I loved how even when hope and odds are against you, sometimes when you are not even looking you can find the greatest thing to ever be felt in life. That book had a string sense of that lingering as I read though, and it was a nice touch with everything else that happened and that progressed, All in all, the book and characters were amazing. I was very entertained and I look forward to more from these authors!
***No Spoilers*** This book has it all: Romance, Suspense, Intrigue, and Steam. I was not able to put this book down. The main characters in this book come with heavy secrets that they are trying to protect. How far will they go to protect those secrets when their own very lives are at stake? This question is what kept me from being able to put the book down. I kept turning page after page to see what would happen next. Knowing that this is the first book in the series, I am only assuming that the characters that we are introduce too will be making future appearances throughout the series. The air of mystery pulls you in during the first couple chapters. It has you second guessing who is good and who is bad. The suspense has you on the edge of your seat. You will want nothing more than to continue reading just so you can see what happens. The way the characters of Vulture and Danielle were written, you can feel their struggles. Vulture leaves you with a dark good guy vibe. You know what I mean, he is bad because of who he is but the way he acts and how protective he is makes him seem like a good guy. Danielle is an amazing female lead. She is strong, courageous, smart, and obviously beautiful. She is always stepping up to the plate and throwing herself into every situation without any doubts. You will see the strength of the characters grow throughout the book. Their journey is full of twists and turns. When you finish this book you will be left with a book hangover and the need for the second book in the series,
Code Name: Vulture: Dark Vampire Romance (The Order of the Condor Series #1) by Maya Daniels & Sylvia Black
This is the first book I've read by Daniels, but not for Black. Knowing that Black is a part of this book makes me a happy person. Code Name: Vulture is an amazing book.
Danielle Is a curator at a New York Museum. When she spends time with an old man who is thought to be eccentric things seem to be true. She's then kidnapped for answers, but ends up falling for her captor. The quote I chose for Danielle is: “I want to believe you. What I find hard to come to terms with is that someone betrayed my trust. That’s the only way word could have gotten out that fast, which explains how you were there to buy Condora when no one else in the art industry with enough money had a clue it would be up for auction. It also came out from an old man’s estate—a man thought to be eccentric and more than a little cuckoo, according to my friend Cara.”
Vulture is known for killing just to get his way. He never misses a mark and won't start now. Being sent to capture the statue and the curator has him questioning things. The quote I chose for Vulture is: “I see this will take time. Your life as you know it is over, little bird, and the sooner you come to terms with it, the easier all this will be. We should start first with the rules, no?”
Danielle is a curator at the Top Museum in the United States and she is attending an auction to acquire an artifact entrusted to her care by the previous owner. Someone outbids her for it though and she cannot figure out how that happened! Vulture is a special vampire that belongs to the Order. He is tasked with taking Danielle and the relic, known as Condora to some, and others as Condor. He is also contracted to discover the secrets she knows about it! From the beginning, he did not feel right about her. He becomes more and more attracted to her. Once he learns he has been betrayed, he will protect her with everything inside of him to learn the secrets of the relic, how she is connected to it, and how to save the Purebloods. Lycians and other Vampyrs will attack the Purebloods until they also possess Danielle and the relic. Danielle is special though…no one really knows why and she has an unexplainable power! Also, she is part of the answer to saving the Purebloods. How will this all come together? Who will survive and die? Two talented authors combine their knowledge of writing, steamy heat, unlimited imaginations, and a new world they create together to bring their readers a series that will bewitch, beguile and heighten all our senses and will leave us panting for more…. Maya Daniels and Sylvia Black have come together to bring the world of the Condor to our attention~
I really enjoyed this story. It had everything I like in a story, Romance, vampires and a very strong dominant male. This is fast paced story which keeps you hooked from the start. I loved the protective dominance of Vulture but also the confidence and determination of Danielle.
Danielle is a curator of a museum. When she is outbid for a very special relic she is fuming. Danielle finds herself in danger when she is kidnapped by vampires. She is willing to give up everything to them but they can't know her secret. The secrets she is hiding could be the reason for her being in danger but who can help her?
Vulture is a vampire who now takes jobs to get rid of bad guys and find things that people want. When he is tasked with taking the Relic that Danielle was after and also Danielle herself he does it just like any other job. However when Vulture gets betrayed he then sets on a course to protect Danielle from the danger she now faces. He doesn't know what makes her so appealing to his buyer but he knows he needs to protect her. As this connection grows things heat up when he realises they are fated mates. How far will Vulture go to protect the woman he loves? Or will he lose everything?
I enjoyed this paranormal story. This is not my first book by these authors but it is one of my favorites yet. This is a well written story about protection and the cost you are willing to pay for that. The author’s use of details made the story come to life on each page. Their creative, unique characters add to the story as being relatable and strong. I enjoyed being pulled into the story from the beginning. This is a story about Vulture and Danielle. He is a born leader and also a ghost just like his brothers. She never expected to end up in a nightmare and willing to give up anything to these vampires. Problem, she has secrets that they must never find out about. As both of their lives intertwine they find themselves barely hanging on to survival. What happens next I highly recommend picking up this book. It is for sure worth the pick up. I enjoyed their chemistry and growth throughout the story. They made such great characters and I enjoyed what they brought to the story. I really enjoyed this paranormal story with hot, steamy characters. I highly recommend this book.
This book drew me right in from the very first page. The authors paint such a vivid picture every step of the way that it felt as if I were a part of the world that they created. I lost an entire day without even realizing it because I kept wanting to read just one more page to find out what would happen next. I honestly cannot remember the last time that I was so engrossed in a book that I finished it all in one day. As a mom of five children, sleep is usually priceless, but this time I did not regret getting less sleep one bit! This is not your typical vampire fluff novel, there's romance, action, mystery and a twist that was a pleasant surprise. The heroine Danielle is not as soft and meek as she might appear at first glance, nor is Vulture all that he appears to be on the surface. If you're a fan of supernatural and vampire romances this is a must read. I really enjoyed how multi-dimensional each of the characters were and the set up for the next book in the series was integrated seamlessly. I am anxiously awaiting the next book in this series, and I am off to discover more books by this amazing author.
This book starts out like most romance novels with the boy meeting the girl but that is about all this has in common with traditional romance books. We are automatically thrust into the action and mystery as we follow Danielle in her quest to obtain the relic her mentor has imparted knowledge about. When a mysterious stranger steps in to claim the relic and sends Danielle down the rabbit hole. This leads her to being kidnapped as she is tied up in something she doesn’t fully understand. On one hand Danielle has a secret that she needs to keep but as she gets closer to vulture and his unique tastes little by little her guard slips away. As more of the story is revealed we discover things are not as they seem and the lies piling up around Danielle, vulture, and the contract are not what they seem. Can Vulture keep Danielle safe as he learns she truly is his fated mate? What does the secret Danielle is told to keep have to do with Vulture and the contract? Will their relationship lead to salvation or ruin? This is an edge of your seat read that hooks you right from the beginning and continues pulling you in all the way to the last page.
If you're like me - someone who enjoys fantasy/sci-fi with a bit of steamy romance - you've probably read one or two (or a few) "fated mate" type books. So when I saw fated mates in the description, as well as lycans, vampires, etc., I expected the book to be on par with the others I've read. This is not the case. Most of those books tend to be pretty light and fluffy on the writing itself, with fairly shallow descriptions, characters, world-building, etc., and pretty heavy on the smut. This book however, has beautiful, descriptive writing, with complex characters who develop throughout the book. It is absolutely on another level from other books in the same genre. While it does have s*x scenes, they don't make up the majority of the book like others tend to; instead there is a slow build up, that pays off later in the book. I would describe it as a story-centric book that has romance and more built in. That being said, if you are someone who enjoyed Fifty Shades of Grey, there are similar themes hinted at here that I suspect will come into play later in the series. Overall I did enjoy the book and I look forward to reading the rest of the series!
Code Name: Vulture was a very interesting book taking the myths of both vampires and Lycians and putting a twist on it. I really enjoyed reading about the pureblood vampire named Vulture. He was wonderful. Filled with bloodlust and violence with some humanity. Action packed with many fights between the two species. Vampire mercenary for hire but a contract gone wrong. Vulture was hired to retrieve a relic and a woman named Danielle to get information from her about said relic. When things don't add up he starts investigating what's so special about this woman and relic.
The other main character Danielle intrigues me. She has some magical properties but she is supposedly human? I would love to learn more about her powers and background. Definitely caught my interest.
I must admit, I did not really enjoy the romance aspect of this book. It was too dark. I get that Vulture is a vampire but he abused and repeatedly humiliated Danielle. Luckily the action aspect was written really well to give this book more appeal to me.
Code Name: Vulture (The Order of the Condor Series Book 1) by Maya Daniels and Sylvia Black. I loved this book and I can't wait for the 2nd one. This is the story of Danielle who works for a history museum and has gone to an auction to buy a specific statue for the museum. When she is outbid by some mysterious man she is livid. Little does she know but the mysterious man is really out to get her. Danielle can't believe this guy outbid her because there were only 4 people aware of this specific piece. The mysterious man is non other than Vulture a brother in the Code of Condor and a full blood Vampire. When Vulture lays eyes on Danielle he has to have her and soon he kidnaps her and puts her in a cage. The Contract was only for the statue but he couldn't help himself. He doesn't realize how strong Danielle is and wonders if he will ever be able to really have her. Vulture is a dark character but I was actually rooting for him in the end. Will Danielle ever give in to Vulture and fall for him the way he's fallen for her? Read Code Name to find out!
The starter book to a series, this tells the story of Danielle, a human with unusual abilities, and Vulture, a pureblood Vampyre.
This book is a little confusing at first. We start out with a relic with a history that the heroine knows, but we don’t. The hero is more of an anti-hero, and his way of treating the heroine is a little odd. Ultimately much of what is confusing at the beginning of the book, is explained as we go through it, though some of the other characters and creatures remain a bit mysterious. The romance is completed, though the overarching story is not, so some of that mystery is likely to be solved later.
There are a lot of darker paranormal/fantasy elements in the book. The world itself seems to be fairly dark, and the behaviour of the beings in it are likewise dark.
It all makes for an interesting, if confusing at times read, but it’s intriguing enough to make me want to stick around to read more. A good, though dark, paranormal fantasy/romance recommended for those who like their vampires and shifters a little edgy!
Code Name: Vulture is the first book in a new series about a woman, Danielle, who is a curator of a museum. The story starts at an auction where she is “guaranteed” to obtain an ancient artifact that holds many secrets. What she doesn’t realize is she is not the only one after this particular artifact. After being outbid, she obsesses about losing the artifact to some stranger. What she doesn’t know is that he will not be a stranger for long, but her mate. I really enjoyed this first book. As someone who loves dark vampire romances, it did not disappoint. While I did think that it started a little slow and confusing, I was able to catch up pretty quickly. Once I was a couple chapters in, I was hooked. Now, there are a lot of these types of novels, so I am always looking for a different point of view. I think the author did really well with bringing a new aspect to the stories we have heard in so many different ways. I look forward to the rest of the series.
Danielle doesn’t realize when she’s been out bidded on an artifact in an auction that it’s about to change her entire life. Code Name: Vulture starts out fast paced when Danielle doesn’t get the artifact she wanted so badly and has promised to an old friend she would protect but little does she know her fated mate is the one who outbid her and throws her into a new dangerous life. She must figure out how to keep her secret and protect the artifact. This was such a good read, I finished it in one setting! It’s a dark vampire romance with a strong female lead who doesn’t know her own strength. Danielle loves history and uncovering the truth! She soon finds out that not all stories are myths. Vulture is a Vampire but not a normal one, he's a pure blood; He’s faster, stronger and has different powers. This series was so great from start to finish, it was exciting, sexy, and I loved the mystery you get with it! Would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a dark fantasy romance!
This book is a great start to a new series. Danielle was trying to get an artifact in a auction. She was outbid and little did she know it was by her mate. Vulture was hired to get this artifact but he didn't realize Danielle was his mate either. Vulture is a purebred vampire. Purebred vampires are an elite group of vampires who have more power and strength than any other vampire. As things progress he finds out Danielle is hiding a lot of secrets. She also has powers no one knows about. Can the Condor be protected? Can Vulture find out who is after them? Can they stay together? So many questions to be answered. You want to know the answers? Grab the book to find out! The book is full of action and it is very steamy. It is hard to put down, so make sure you have time to read it. This book is a great start to an amazing series!!
Code Name: Vulture is a dark Vampire Romance story and the first book in The Order of the Condor Series by Maya Daniels & Sylvia Black. It is fast paced, with lots of action and danger and is steamy, addictive, and sexy, and full of danger. I was lost in the story and the harsh but oddly alluring world that Maya and Sylvia have created. A place where secret and lies, darkness and death thrive to weave a twisted world. One of domination, lust, greed, and brutality. When extinction threatens the vampiric race rumours abound of a relic that could just as well annihilate them or be their saviour. Unfortunately, there is only one person that knows of the relic and its secrets. Now she is on their radar she finds herself in a fight for her life. I devoured this short story in one sitting. I can’t wait to see what else they bring.
I enjoyed this book. I’m a huge fan of Sylvia Black and was excited to read this book. Danielle is an art curator at a prestige's museum in New York city, and is looking to get her hands on a priceless relic up for auction. This relic is of personal importance to her due to a dear older gentleman who has told her many stories about it. Vulture, a sexy breathtaking pureblood, is at the auction and outbids Danielle. She is livid that the gorgeous man has her relic and can’t get it out of her mind. A night out with her best friend results in her kidnapping and everything changes for her forever. She is wanted by the underworld for her abilities. Turmoil and murder attempts are plenty. If you love vampires, Lycians and other underworld characters then I recommend this book. This was a great read. Looking forward to book 2.
Code Name: Vulture: Dark Vampire Romance (The Order of the Condor Series Book 1) by Maya Daniels & Sylvia Black is a great collaboration between two brilliant authors. The book was interesting from start to finish and you really get caught up in the story. Although this isn’t necessarily the smoothest of collaborations that I have read the writing style of the two authors still seemed to work together. And the kinks could quite well be due to this being the start of a new series. The story really comes together and was great to read. I really liked Vulture. I was hooked by him the instant I started reading. I did have a little bit of a harder time connecting to Danielle as an individual character but I loved the connection between the two of them. I think this is a good start to a new series and I am looking forward to trying the next.
As soon as I saw that Sylvia Black was one of the Authors, I got so excited because I have already read a few of her books and I am hooked on her! This is my first for Maya Daniels, and now I am going to be hooked on her books and CAN'T WAIT! This book being the first of this series is already so wild! There is so much love, sexual feelings, combat, drama, and more!! Vulture is his code name of a group of certain Vampires. They have lived for centuries, and whenever he is on any contract, he never breaks his vows and goes by all his rules to the penny, BUT it changes when he meets Danielle, a curator for a museum in New York. She's his new contract, but as you can tell, it'll mean SO much more. You will need to pick up this book right away! I am so ready to read the second book!!!
This book is absolutely fantastic! The paranormal world building was really well done, from beginning to end! As you read and learn more about Vulture and his world and Danielle and her being sucked right into all the chaos. And as things progress towards the end, questions are answered leaving you thrilled at the prospect of what is next to come in the series!
Danielle is independent, adventurous and brave and is so much more than she appears. Vulture is cold and immoveable yet these two get shoved into a situation much bigger than they realize at the start and it only gets better as you read! Loved this book and I am definitely looking forward to reading more about Falcon in the next one! Highly recommend this for a great Paranormal world and romance!
Code Name: Vulture (The Order of the Condor Series Book 1) by Maya Daniels and Sylvia Black - Review by Krista Vaughan
A dark and steamy novel of magic and vampires! History meets fantasy as Danielle and Vulture come together while bidding to own a relic that holds the key to an ancient race's survival.
Vulture is hired to find the relic, and to take care of Danielle to find out it's secrets. The difficulty is that she makes him feel. She makes him...care. He vows to protect her if she shares the secret to the relic, only to find himself protecting her life because he doesn't want her to die. He wants her for life.
This book is 18+ and has a Dom male and Sub female. If this is up your alley you will not be disappointed with this novel!
I fell in love with Vulture and Danielle. This book was the perfect first start to the series, and I could not put it down. The action, suspense, and the sex were through the roof. If you don't love the supernatural world after this read you will. I have fallen in love with Sylvia Black and all her books never fail to capture all my attention. Vulture is hired to find an artifact that Danielle was dying to obtain. After he outbids her at the auction the journey begins from there. Vulture is a pureblood vampire, and upon meeting Danielle realizes her to be his mate. As they navigate their new feelings and their sexual chemistry they also work to uncover the truth of the relic, and what's going on with the Vampire race. This story is a great read and I cant wait for the next book!
Paranormal romance are some of my favorite books and this one did not disappoint. Danielle works for a history museum and goes to an auction to buy a very important relic. A stranger comes in and outbids her, but how could that be? Only four people even knew that it was going on auction at the last minute. Vulture wins the auction, then kidnaps the female. He had a contract, but this wasn’t like his normal contracts. He put her in a cage in a room that when seen, would break the strongest of wills. Danielle doesn’t break. Not only does Danielle have a link to the relic, but she also seems to have a link to him. Can Vulture save the relic and Danielle? Can they save the purebreds vampires from danger? This was a great read and look forward to Book 2.
This a Dark romance, where the man likes to be in charge and his women to be submissive.
Vulture is a pureblood Vampyr who must retrieve the relic and the curator. He kidnaps her, but soon realises their is more to her than he was lead to believe and things develop between them.
Danielle is a museum curator, she really wants that relic. But she misses out on it at auction... or so she thinks. She is kidnapped for her information on the relic. But she is so much more that just information..
The plot is really good and I really wanna know what happens next. I read this really quickly, finding it hard to put down. It is well written and the story flows well.
