Haley finally gets back into the swing of things after recovering from his injuries. His first case back is one of international intrigue. An old friend comes to the team asking for help in tracking down a group of ex-MI6 agents who are now in the United States, looking to make a big score. Recker enlists the services of Vincent in tracking down the criminal gang, who have entered the country in three different cities, while also staying out of the CIA’s crosshairs.
Has the team finally met a group of men with skills as dangerous as theirs?

I finally got around to completing this book not because it wasn't interesting but because I had to read it old school and was not available via audiobook, which is faster for me. Nonetheless, it was a good read as the Silencer team was called on a case to assist an old ally in the CIA on a case that had a lot of political red trap could not be navigated through alone. It was great seeing Haley back in action from injury and back to his old self. This was a high risk case that could have national security ramifications if left unaddressed. The Silencer team found themselves starting this case with very little to go on regarding the players involved, the shipments being brought in, and the endgame. This is the kind of story that Silencer fans come expect from Mike Ryan. I look forward to the next book. Recommended.
In yet another case of the Silencers throwing in with the CIA to stop a major drug operation being set up, they come out on top. But it wasn't without its bumps and bruises. We know Mike and Chris are top notch and they'll get the job done.
But what of Mike and Mia? How much longer will he stay in the business? And how will they navigate what will surely be a difficult row to hoe? I enjoy the writing, the storyline and the character interactions in each of these books.
With Haley finally able to return to work after being shot in the last book, the team is approached to help a CIA friend by finding and dealing with a team of former MI6 agents, but off the books. On this occasion, the hunt takes them away from their normal patch and involves them with opponents with similar levels of skills and training. Another fast paced and intriguing story for the Silencer.
As with all these books, it's starts off setting the scene and then just explodes This one took a little longer than most before it did get going, but didn't ease up once it did It's interesting to see the dynamic between the team and Vincents organisation grow and become more intertwined, will it become more of a joint operation in future ?
