This book is the prequel to, Double or Nothing. Even though this one was a quick read, it perfectly has set the tone for the coming book.
Sutton and Kat are perfect for each other and madly in love with each other. Sutton yearns to make it big in the music industry and Kat is his biggest cheerleader. She has full faith that one day he'll make it big.
Kat and mother were so great people as they take Sutton in whenever he can't be at his home because of his abusive father.
Sutton wants to get away from his home. He was really sweet to Kat and vice versa. I loved their innocent but wild love for each other. Sutton and Kat have already vowed to stay together for ever.
But what happens when that chance you've been waiting for comes. Sutton takes decisions which changes the course of their lives completely.
Oh my.. I can't wait to dive into Double or Nothing. I'm already excited and have butterflies thinking about all that delicious angst and emotional journey waiting for me after the way this book ended. Loved this one. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Bad Beat by Lyla Grace is a rockstar romance. It's the High Stakes Love Prequel.
Kathryn Keller and Sutton Cole were high school sweethearts. They were dating for three years and they were in love. Sutton had an amazing gift in music, he was creating and singing his own songs. Kat was his biggest fan and believed that one day he was going to be a rockstar. She was right, when he turned eighteen he got a record deal and was ready to move to New York. Would Kat leave everything behind and follow him?
This is a great beginning for a series. It shows the true relationship of the young couple and how strong their feelings were. It started with a happy vibe that turned quickly into a sexy one and ended with a dramatic flair. Based on this I think that the next book will be amazing.
This was my first read from this author. It's a short read about Kat and Sutton, told in the dual, first person point of view which is always a deal breaker for me. This was a very good story. I will be reading more from this author in the future.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
