Linda writes "white-knuckle fiction"--FBI thrillers with a twist of faith--from her home in rural Virginia. She's had careers as a government worker, a stay-at-home mom, and a journalist. Her husband, Larry, worked at the FBI Academy for over 25 years. Together they have three grown children. These days, Linda stays entertained by two cats and a Sheltie who tries to herd them. When she's not writing, you can find her walking in the woods, at the beach or doing something (anything) with dogs.

The third book in this wonderful and challenging K-9 Search and Rescue Series featuring Jess and her dog Luke. This book continues with Jess's growth and challenges as a new Christian along with delving into close friendships and challenging mysteries. This book confronts many issues that are so prevalent in our world today and does so in thoughtful way while challenging our views on so many issues of life. Not a light read for sure, but a superb read it is! I hope this series continues as I’ve grown quite attached to so many characters and I look forward to the continuing development of their relationships.

Good story

This was a good story and though I know Linda J. White writes spiritual books, she went too far for me. Her main theme of being on the same yoke spiritually was over-played. There are great marriages among good people who are not on the same yoke.
I loved the characters as I did before, liked Jess becoming more independent in her search for something to do with her life; the training she took and her love for her dog. I enjoyed the searches with Luke and how she grew. But I rated it a 3 because it was just over done on a religious level that was too much for me.

Book Three, and just as amazing as books 1 and 2!!!

I can't say anything more than I did on the first two books. Even if I did I would just be rambling on. All I can say, is thank you LORD for directing me to these books and this author. I wish all books were as wonderful, refreshing, and powerful as these books. All rolled into one is multiple mysteries, intense and exciting SAR'S, true romance, and the LOVE of CHRIST! Thank you Linda J. White!

I love this series! I enjoy the relationships, the suspense, the twists & turns, and their faith journeys.

When Evil Finds US does delve into some of the evil that is prevalent in our world, because of this, the topics are heavier, but the author does a wonderful job reminding us of the good, in this inspirational page turning story.

Jessica Chamberlain moves back home and in with her dear friends Nate and Laura. She inherited money recently and she is determining her next steps, and continuing her volunteer work with the SAR team. In the meantime she learns how to rock climb (to help her Search and Rescue group), and she takes EMT classes. Her faith is fledgling, but growing, and she's dating FBI Special Agent Scott Cooper, a wonderful man. Faith is not something he is interested in. He has a difficult job in interviewing criminals who have murdered multiple people. He also has his defiant 16 year old daughter show up on his doorstep. Nate and Laura are going through a challenging time and their faith is being tested.

I like how the author brings in a detective from the last story and how their investigations begin to overlap. We are introduced to a family with a little boy who has autism. I love the bond her forms with Jessica's dog Luke.

I simply cannot stop turning pages, and I am about to begin the next book in this series! I am really enjoying the continuing stories in this K-9 Search and Rescue series. Highly recommend!

That's really what this book is about...God's unending grace and mercy toward us. With this amazing cast of characters, we see imperfect people trying to make it in an evil world! Filled with love, suspense, action and intrigue, we follow these friends and family thru twist and turn! Another beautiful story from this author! Well done!

A most stirring novel.

I liked the characters and the different inter actions. LAURA did do a lot of crying! 😂 she is an emotional caring person. Her feelings and interactions with Scott were real and added a lot to the story. His mixed emotions and trials played a large part, as was the friendship of Luke and Laura.
I liked the spiritual side of the story. Most authors are afraid to add that side of a person's life. Can't wait for the next book. I enjoy K-9 books. Luke is a keeper.

Not many can write well

Fewer can take the FBI and EMT & k 9 powers, recognize that there is Evil, and how Evil loves to attack, weaken and defeat those called to defend and protect all:
But this author was has chosen to witness. She reveals not just the ugliness that draws so many readers, not just the mighty physical and familial and financial struggles of the called warriors...
No, she witnesses to the powerful love of our Heavenly Father.
This is no small thing.
May you answer God's call, & become at once, His beloved Child, & warrior...
AMEN

Linda J. White does a great job developing her characters and story lines. The search and rescue theme is so interesting to me, and I learn new things with each book. The antics of Luke, the German Shepard, are heartwarming and relatable. I enjoy the camaraderie between the K-9 rescue workers, FBI staff, and main characters. There are always many subplots and the author does an effective job tying up loose ends. Looking forward to reading K-9 Search and Rescue #4 to see what's in store for Jess, Scott, Nate, Laura, and Luke.

Jess and Luke and their Tribe ... once again -

This is the 3rd book in the series and it's fantastic! Shining a light on so many different types of trials that we face really resonated with me ... autistic child, sexual abuse of a teenager, spousal abuse and, just ... life. I felt a spiritual awakening!

What a journey!

Linda has hit it it out the ball park with this series and this installment in particular. Character development is so real and winsome and genuine that I find myself caring for and even respecting the main characters. The story is all about relationship. it's about friendship and love. Which means it is joyful and heartrending The very best kind of story!

When Evil Finds Us

Evil will find us, Saten always has. How do we over come it? I loved the ins and outs of how and where she found strength from her dog, friends and the Lord. The characters were strong, believable and real. Dogs and horses are the best care and service animals that the Lord has given us. Thank for this great read!

My third in the series and the best one so far. Starting the fourth today. You just fall in love with these characters especially with their failures. You can see how God works out His plans throughout the whole novel. You can see just how evil satan is through Webster, his black eyes and all. No wander Scott lost it! The book It is so good! I recommend this book to young adult and older.

Ready for another nail bitter

Twists and turns keep you hanging on. You just never know which way this story line is going to go. Love the constant questions of one's faith. It's very refreshing makes you think how would you handle each incident the characters face. Could you handle them? Can't wait for the next story.

When Evil Finds Us

The main characters Jessica and her K9 dog, plus friends who are in her life that help her heal from tragedy. Such a compelling story that keeps you reading. This is the 3rd book in the series and every chapter keeps you spellbound how God is working and healing. Linda J White is now my favorite author, she the best.

Faith in Love

This is enjoyable read with believable characters. there are a lot of coincidences, but they are acceptable because they help the story, and there are coincidences in real life, too. There is I nice amount of falling action instead of a quick wrap up after the climax.

Fantastic

This is the 3rd book in the series that I've read and just loved. The characters are beautiful souls, braving life's hurdles and struggles. I'm sooo very pleased that the spiritual aspects are so deftly covered. The inspiration provided and the unconditional love of Spirit is well portrayed. Thank you. Linda for these gifts. Love Luke!!!!

Wonderful, very entertaining book!

This book has everything I love in a book. It has wonderful characters at various stages in their lives and in their Christian walk. I love the dogs and horses, too. The suspense and action are great. And the scenes about search and rescue add to the story. The romance has a slow walk to a happy ending. I love this book!!

Excellant!

The saga continues with another fantastically told story. Your characters come alive as you portray all the hills and valleys of their experiences and relationships. And you tell it all so well. More than once I had tears in my eyes, I was so drawn in. I can’t wait to download the next book!

Found

Written mostly in the first person it has a diary kind of narrative. A little stilted in parts. Needed an epilogue to completely. Answer did he loose his job? Did he get disability and retire. Did she ever get to go back to rescue?

This book was an awesome read - an action-packed page-turner that managed to incorporate some tough spiritual issues too. Book 3 in the K-9 Search & Rescue series. I’m hoping for more in the series - maybe one to talk about Amanda’s changed life…

Too Much Religion

I’m a Christian, but I don’t force it down people’s throats. This book does. Every page. I’m sorry, take out the religion and the book was good, but I couldn’t finish it and won’t be reading any more of her books.

Quick read, liked characters

This was the third book in the k-9 search and rescue series. I liked the characters, but the use of the country dialect was distracting and patronizing. Didn't like this book as much as her other books. However, the story wrapped up well in the end.
