I love this series! I enjoy the relationships, the suspense, the twists & turns, and their faith journeys.
When Evil Finds US does delve into some of the evil that is prevalent in our world, because of this, the topics are heavier, but the author does a wonderful job reminding us of the good, in this inspirational page turning story.
Jessica Chamberlain moves back home and in with her dear friends Nate and Laura. She inherited money recently and she is determining her next steps, and continuing her volunteer work with the SAR team. In the meantime she learns how to rock climb (to help her Search and Rescue group), and she takes EMT classes. Her faith is fledgling, but growing, and she's dating FBI Special Agent Scott Cooper, a wonderful man. Faith is not something he is interested in. He has a difficult job in interviewing criminals who have murdered multiple people. He also has his defiant 16 year old daughter show up on his doorstep. Nate and Laura are going through a challenging time and their faith is being tested.
I like how the author brings in a detective from the last story and how their investigations begin to overlap. We are introduced to a family with a little boy who has autism. I love the bond her forms with Jessica's dog Luke.
I simply cannot stop turning pages, and I am about to begin the next book in this series! I am really enjoying the continuing stories in this K-9 Search and Rescue series. Highly recommend!
