The recipes here are apparently sourced from real diners, but in most cases which dines they came from are not clear -- and where they are named, they don't give locations. So there's no way to think about regional differences or other kinds of historical/cultural questions. Illustrations include vintage postcards of diners, images lifted from vintage recipe booklets, and other sorts of stock photos. But the recipes look pretty authentic, if you're looking to recreate some classic diner food, and the book has that retro look that one would expect from the title and series.
