Wicked Hearts

Rate this book
The edgy, angsty, addictive YA/NA crossover series from L A Cotton continues...

Some hearts are too broken to fix.

Kiera Lessinger’s whole life is a lie. Attend high school with her rich friends, check. Act sickeningly in love with her goofball-of-a-boyfriend, check. Pretend that every day isn’t a living nightmare, check. She didn’t ask to be thrust into her new life, but if it means escaping her past she’ll do whatever it takes to stay there. Even if it means forgetting the boy with eyes bluer than the ocean and a smirk that only ever led to trouble.

Trey Berrick has cleaned up his act. No longer the boy breaking hearts with a could-care-less attitude, he’s finally trying to be the man his family always wanted him to be. Sophomore in college, check. The forever girl, check. But despite having the world at his feet, Trey can’t forget the girl with pink in her hair and pain in her eyes.

He’ll always be the boy who broke her heart and she’ll always be his friend’s little sister. Their story was never meant to have a happy ending.

Or was it?

Wicked Hearts is the #6th book in the Wicked Bay series. This dual perspective book follows Kiera and Trey.

⫸ KEY THINGS ABOUT THIS BOOK ⫷
➳ Past and present timelines
➳ Instant attraction to instalove
Cheating occurs in this book
➳ Tropes: falling for brother's best friend & supposed age gap

Expectations of Tropes

— Falling for Brother's Best Friend
— Forbidden romance due to main hero being brother's friend and there is an age difference

Reality of Tropes

Falling for brother's friend: Kinda // Kyle (who is Kiera's half brother) is VERY over the top protective and does not feel anyone is good enough for Kiera. Basically, this trope was portrayed by telling Trey to stay away from Kiera.
The age difference: 3 years // This is not really a terrible age gap, at least to me.

MAIN CHARACTERS

💖 Kiera (main h)
➳ Kyle's surprising half sister who grew up being on "the wrong side of the tracks." She appears more rough around the edges in all aspects of her self from social interactions to appearance.

💖 Trey (main H)
➳ Reformed playboy, best friends with Maverick & Kyle, trying to appease his parents.
➳ Overall, I felt Trey was rather weak for a main H because a lot of the drama he created on his own with his indecisiveness.

BIGGEST TAKEAWAYS FROM THIS BOOK

Kiera and Trey story intrigued me in the novella - Wicked Surprise, so I was excited to read this book. Unfortunately, this book was a frustrating read that ultimately fell flat in many ways. Overall, I am needing a break from this series as this one was a let down.

Recommend: No.

HEA: Rushed, but yes. I reached the" last chapter" which really felt like a turning pointing for me that I felt more chapters were coming to explore the couples new relationship. Honestly, I had to do a double take. . . I thought my vision was betraying me when I read Epilogue on my kindle, after that chapter. It was like all of a sudden HEA into the sunset with all these loose plots that just never got addressed.

OW/OM drama: Yes, it was a revolving door of drama with OW because the main h was supposed to marry a girl that "fit the bill" to his parents.

Story Development Underdeveloped. Some plots of the book were really promising but they didn't come to fruition, they were just dropped, and really never resolved.

"Trey Berrick wasn’t just any guy. He was that guy. The guy your heart wanted, but your head knew was a bad idea. A very bad idea.”

With Wicked Hearts L.A. Cotton continues to amaze me. The love story of one of the youngest and definitely newest Stone-Prince family member brings us right back into the Wicked Bay world. Kiera is an easy lovable character, she’s fierce and fearless, she’s content, simple and complex at the same time. I love how the author let her grow through the story. Not only her character but also her place within the family and friends.

”I wasn’t the white knight in this story; I was the wicked king.”

Kiera’s and Berrick’s story was entertaining and kept my interest from the first page to the last. It has an easy flow, even though we are going back and forth between past and present. That’s because their past is as important as the present because it still holds some strings that inlfuence their present. However, I’d love to have had some more time with them as a present couple. I personally think that part was way to short.

”I want you. I want your flaws and insecurities and hopes and dreams. I want evrything about you.”

Wicked Hearts is a beautiful and lovely addition to the Wicked Bay series. A book you definitly don’t want to miss, if you love this great series!

I received an ARC for an honest review.

Another great addition to the series. This group of friends are so supportive of each other and have great banter.

I liked Kiera and Trey and whilst it was a crooked road they eventually got to their HEA. Trey put himself under too much pressure to be the ideal son and Kiera felt out of place but together they were whole.

It was nice to see the rest of the gang and I loved seeing Kyle in his big brother role - made me smile.

Now what is going on with Summer and Nick? I need their book stat!

I love the Wicked Bay series, their world is incredible to read about.
L.A Cotton has bought us the latest instalment from the Stone/Prince family and didn’t disappoint.

Wicked hearts had lots of drama and angst and had me flying through the pages.

Keira was a character I related to with straight away. She was sweet, simple and at times quite fiery.

Trey, god I wanted to smack him upside the head! Every time I thought he was going to let himself me happy... NOPE!! Both of them were trying to act like the other didn’t effect them but when had their moments together... the chemistry was intense and amazing!

Another fabulous addition to the wicked bay series!

I love this YA/NA series. L.A. Cotton has delivered another great read filled with angst and young love. Words cannot express how much I love this series. LA Cotton always knocks it out of the park with her books making her an instant 1-click author.

If you haven't read the other books in the series then I suggest you do so you can fully appreciate the relationships between all the characters.

This instalment is Keira and Trey's story. Keira is Kyle's half sister and is relatively new the Wicked Bay crowd seeing as they have only just met. Trey is one of Maverick's best friends.

I loved Keira, she has had a different life then the Kyle and the others and often feels out of place around them even though they couldn't be more welcoming. When she meets Trey during her first introduction to the group she is immediately attracted to him despite him being 18 and off to college and her being only 15.

Both Trey and Keira are hurting for different reasons and putting on brave fronts with everyone else, but together when they aren't fighting their feelings they seem to help each other heal in some ways.

I could understand Trey's reluctance to give into his feelings for Keira as he is older then her and she is off limits as his friends sister but my heart broke for her with each rejection from him.

In this book you go back and forth between the present and the past so you can see what has happened between them to get them to the point they are at now.

As much as they both have tried to move on from each other the connection between them can't really be denied and its inevitable they will be brought back together. Its just a matter of timing

As much as I have loved reading Trey and Keira's story, im sorry but Lo and Maverick will always be my favourite Wicked Bay couple

I was so excited to start Wicked Hearts. I have wanted a story about Kiera and as well as one for Trey since we have been introduced to them in the previous books. I was more than excited when they were getting a book together.

Now here is the thing, while I really enjoyed this one a lot, I was in a sense let down by how their relationship and mistakes of the past played out. I wanted to know more of their past secret relationship, even if it wasn’t a long one but we hear that more about Keira’s relationship with Jack, or Jack-ass as Kyle likes to call him, than we really do with Trey and Kiera. Maybe it is me and I went in expecting more, but then again maybe I felt as if they deserved more and not have this book just be a filler. There is drama with Summer and Nick as well and Wicked Hearts hints at it but I am feeling like this was more of a set up for their book than a book for Kiera and Trey.

Did I overall like Wicked Hearts? Yes I did but I just wanted something more. I am curious to see what is going on with Summer and Nick in the next book, and I wonder which brother will kick Nick’s ass if he hurts Summer.

An edgy, angsty, addictive YA/NA crossover series from L. A. Cotton, author of the Chastity Falls series.

I love this YA/Crossover series, it's never without its drama's, family drama's, friend drama's and the up's and downs of young love.

This is Kiera and Trey's story.
If you haven't read any of the previous books I would advise starting this series from the beginning. There are a series of events that lead up to Trey and Kiera's story and by doing this you would also learn to appreciate this close group of friends a lot more and the support they each give each other.

Kiera is the surprise step-sister of Kyle who was introduced in one of the previous books. Kiera has had a completely different upbringing to Kyle who has had more of a privileged life. Kiera is smart-mouthed and has more of a rougher, likable edge to her character, her clothes, her appearance, her background, she was completely different from Kyle's friends but she was welcomed by Kyle's family and friends, although at first, Kiera felt like she didn't belong she soon began to accept her new life as Kyle's sister.

Kiera was only 15 when she was first introduced to the group and the different way of life that was Kyle and his friends. Kiera first meets Trey on her first night in Wicked bay and she is immediately attracted to him.
Trey is a lot older than Kiera and also best friends with her new-found brother.

Kiera and Trey both felt strongly attracted to each other and throughout their story, they have a lot of moments, moments where they could have become something more than friends, moments were your think yes!! this is it but Trey for his own reasons fought it and prevented their relationship ever going further.
Trey was hurting Kiera a little more each time with his rejection, Kiera experienced a roller-coaster of high's and low's, she would get her hopes up for something more from Trey only to be let down again and again so when Trey moves away for college she moves on.

The plot goes from past to present.
The past is from when Kiera and Trey first met and from their moments and then the plot would go to the presenting another chapter when Trey returns home to visit after moving away for college and the two are reunited again, they both share the same group of friends so this was inevitable or fate?
Feelings are brought to the surface they have both tried to ignore.

A few years later and both a little older, both of them have tried to move on from each other and even have their own relationships now but they can't feel the same love or feel settled down with other people when they still have deep feelings for each other.
Trey and Kiera's love story is an example of life's wonderful timing, doing the right thing at the right time, fixing your mistakes and finally being honest with yourself and each other.

There was a scene were Kiera and Trey shared a kiss and my immediate thought was oh dear, the cheater hater's aren't going to like that but Kiera and Trey have the sort of story were they should have been together from the beginning anyway, their hearts were always tied to one another, they were both in relationships of convenience that were nothing serious and they are young, its all part of learning from mistakes, in a nutshell, it didn't bother me. This is Kiera and Trey's story and this is how it happened.

Another great addition to this series. I am always looking forward to who will have their own story next. A great series to follow for those who love YA and the crossover from teen life into adulthood and the drama's that come with those young hormones.

Told in first person dual pov. Leads to hea.

I cannot believe we are at book six of the great series already, how I have enjoyed these books that the time and books are just flighting by. This book is about Kiera Lessinger’s the newly found sister to Kyle Stone, how is she adapting to the life of the Stone-Prices. The great thing about these books is if you have not read any you can start anywhere in the series but get the full effect I would suggest starting with book one. So you can read, breath and live the Stone-Prince family drama. This book did keep changing from the present and the past which is not my favourite POV but in this case it was a must. I am very thankful for an ACR copy of this book to which I have written my honest and voluntary review. I really enjoyed this book and loved getting to know Kiera better and to see how the other family members interacted with her and made her feel.

With all of her family secrets out in the open and her mother was on the straight and narrow Kiera is still having some resentment towards her mother. Her life is just not right for some reason but it can’t be the reason I think it is! She has struggled since coming from Rotunda Heights to Wicked Bay high these are two different worlds and she is trying to find her place in the new and glossy Wicked Bay.

“I should have been excited, my expression mirroring the kids around me. I should have felt something. Anything.
I didn’t”

“I know underneath her curved lips and kind eyes it was an apology.
Sorry for not being there.
Sorry for hurting you.
Sorry for f#*#ing up your like.”

“Because Trey Berrick was a secret.
My secret.
And he had to stay where bad-boy-heartbreakers deserved to stay.
In the past.”

Trey Berrick has always been friends with Kyle Stone so trouble always had a way of finding him in the past. That is why Kyle told him to say away from his baby sister when they first meet. Advise they both did not listen to as they both made some big mistakes.

“We here like magnets.
The pull was there but the magnetic field was all wrong.
Wrong Girl
Wrong Guy
Wrong f#*#king time.”

Now at College and with a steading girlfriend Trey was cleaning up his act, it was that or drop out of school, but his father would not let him. He had stayed away from Wicked Bay but manly away from Kiera but when life differed him back and into her life he had the biggest challenge to face.

“Thanks for the ride. My fingers slid to the door handle. Stop me, I wanted to say. Fix this Fix us.
Fix me
But the words never came. I climbed out of his truck.”

Will there secret come out or will they both be able to move forward with another person in their lives?

Can Kiera fully recover from her heartbreak?

Will she take the advice of her brother?

“I should have pulled away, should have walked away and never looked back. My head knew this was a bad idea while my heart, my stupid foolish traitorous heart wanted to wrap my arms around him and never let go.”

There's not many series that you can get to book six and still find something knew each time but this author always delivers.

From the moment we first met Keira I've had a soft spot for her. There is something in her personality that just calls to me, her spiky take no prisoners attitude is matched evenly with her vulnerability. Trey is the player the joker of the pack the one who's good for a laugh but nothing serious. I knew there was more to him and I was right he's a young man with hidden depths.

Their story is tender and thoughtful, loving and passionate. However love isn't easy and their story is full of pain and heartache. Two people so right for each other but with everything against them do they really have a chance.

With each book we get to see everyone but next it's Summer and Nick and I can't wait to find out what's going on with them.

I'm both happy and sad right now. I loved getting Keira and Grey's story...finally! I was so upset for them. Lost in the idea and devastated by the reality before this book started. Reading their heartbreak in Wicked Surprise was painful even without knowing everything. Seeing their struggle in the background throughout this series was rough. So I'm glad we got our answers! I'm glad we got our happy! But my heart still hurts and it's not going away for awhile, LA Cotton set me up. She knows it. I know it. I'm not in a forgiving mood either!

Trey and Keira are every bit of heartache, angst, and contentious need you expect from this series. They have some serious pitfalls. It's all a giant ball of pain and frayed nerves. Until the knots are untangled and pain is released...

These Wicked Hearts were broken and alone. It's sounds cliche and dorky but together they are whole. I loved this book and I look forward with fear and trepidation to the next book!

This is another excellent installment in the wonderful Wicked Bay Series by LA Cotton. I love all the characters that have come to life through these books, but I think Trey and Keira are some of my very favorites. This book made me tear up in frustration at times and smile in jubilation at others. This a quick and interesting read, with just enough angst and drama to pull you in and keep you entertained. 4 Stars!

ME POUPE.

ME POUPE.

Heartstrings are Pulled, Broken & Mended In This Wicked Romance!!💔😍💘A fabulous 4.5 star read 🌟

Keira is Kyle Stone's long lost unknown half sister. She's had a tough life. Their Mum is an addict & once keira's Dad died & Gentry Stone refused to let her see Kyle, her Mum fell back off of the wagon after trying to kill herself!!😔 This has always left Keira with an ingrained sense that she wasn't enough - she wasn't enough for her Mum to want to live for 😭💔

Trey has always been the good time boy. Good for a laugh, quick to jump into bed with any willing pretty girl & he's certainly not focused greatly on his studies!🙈 At Maverick's leaving party for College he meets Keira. He's struck by her smart mouth, her beauty is unquestionable but her style is uniquely her own & makes her stand out even more from the Barbie clones! He's instantly attracted to her until Kyle introduces her as his baby sister & that she's only 15 years old!!😳

The next time they meet she's 16, their chemistry is obvious but so is how much trouble they'd both be in it they acted on it. They meet on & off when he's home from college, they've kissed but now agree to just be friends. They text a lot. Then he he says they need to talk .....

More heartbreak, more not feeling like she's enough!!💔😭 What she doesn't know is how messed up Trey is over her & how it's affected his life!💔😢 They both eventually move on with other people 💕

This book is brimming with heartbreak for both Keira & Trey. Their timing is just never right no matter how much they love each other. When they both realise they were maybe never meant have their own happily ever after it broke my heart!!😭 Weirdly this couple actually spend hardly any time together but because of their 'friendship' time & all of thoughts we're privy to, it isn't really noticed, it's very cleverly written!!😎

The only reason this didn't get the full 5 stars 🌟 from me is because of her neighbour. His character obviously did something that caused her great pain & for her old school to turn against her but what?? I know what happened the night before but what did he do?? After all of his skulking around it just didn't feel resolved to me, he didn't seem the type to back off so easily!!

I loved this couple, their journey and their choices!! A definite must read whether you're a Wicked Bay fan or not but he warned, you will be by the time you finish this book - they're addicting!!😍 A fabulous 4.5 star read 🌟

Kiera is straddling a life between two worlds. She's a fraud. She's the tough girl from Rotunda Heights; she's also Kyle Stone's little sister. That's Stone as in the Wicked Bay Stone-Princes. Raised by an addict mom in a rough area where money is scarce and safety is even more scarce, Kiera now finds herself surrounded by the rich, famous, and beautiful. She has a nice boyfriend. He's a little on the goofy side, maybe a little less ambitious than he should be but he's funny and more importantly, he's safe. He hides Kiera's broken heart. Because the truth is Kiera gave her heart away 2 years ago when she fell in love with a guy she can't have. Trey is one of her brothers' best friends. When they met Kiera was only 15. Trey was older, a player. They didn't get much time together but they both knew there was something special between the two of them. Still, it couldn't be. Wrong guy, wrong girl, wrong time. Now Trey is in college, seriously dating the perfect girl. Kiera is set to graduate, move away to college, and start a new life of her own but neither can forget the other.

I had a love/hate relationship with this book. I love Kiera, I love Trey, I love Kiera and Trey together. I hate every decision they made for two years. Yes, they couldn't really get together when they first met but there was no reason to stay away from one another as long as they did. Why were they both okay with settling for something, someone they didn't want? Fear over her brother's reaction? Really!?! After everything the Stone-Prince family has been through, this is NOTHING! And Trey's response to not getting what he wants is to drink, do drugs, and sleep around. I am not a fan of the man-whore especially when the girl decides a path of purity is the way to go. The guy acts out, breaks the girl's heart, then girl always forgives and gets over his past so easily. I cannot relate. I did appreciate Trey's efforts by the end. And I did like the complexity of Kiera's character. Her lack of self-worth was heartbreaking. Her fear of never being enough understandable. Her feelings of insecurity, feeling like she didn't fit in, and always feeling like she needed to keep her shields up reminded me in ways of Lo. Probably why I like her so much. I also love Kyle as protective big brother. He's adorable.

Now, what is going on with Summer and Nick? I'm afraid I'm not going to like whatever he's up to...

There is a reason this series is one of my favourites and that’s because we are now 6 books in and each book is just as amazing as the next book and this one was no different.

As these characters had been read about in some of the previous books I was looking forward to this story to see how these two connected and how their story transpired.

This book was one of my favs of the series and I loved how this story was told we were in the present and in the past and it really brought this story together and really how much their connection came off the pages and you could understand why they were drawn to each other.

Keira was certainly different to all the there characters in this series, she had a hard life with her mum being an addict and kind of being cast to the side so when she found out she had a half brother she was thrown into the Wicked Bay world and she struggled with it all. Even up to this book she felt that she didn’t fit in or was never enough to be special to someone, I really loved her character and her and Treys story.

Trey was one lost boy and he he just wanted to try and make his parents proud and be the person everyone was expecting him to be but in the end he made mistake after mistake and he had just hot rock bottom and didn’t know what to do to get himself out without hurting his friends and admitting his feelings for Keira.

If you are a fan of the series there is no way you would be disappointed and if you haven’t started this series shame on you, you need to read this now.

Again as I say in every review for this series I love how much we get s much of the other characters and especially Kyle he makes me laugh.

This book had the angst, teenage drama, cross of YA/NA and just everything you could want from a book, tears, laughs and an awesome story.

Big 5 Stars for this book

Kiera Lessinger may be Kyle Prince’s sister, but she’s also the kid from the wrong side of Wicked Bay. She doesn’t quite fit in and often finds herself on the sidelines looking in. But, being a part of Wicked Bay also means finding a way to her future once she graduates from highschool. It’s a chance to escape Rotunda Heights. She may have fallen for Trey, ut she knows he is way out of her league and instead spends her time with Jack . . .who also finds himself on the outside looking in. She knows it isn’t forever, but it’s easy and comfortable.

Trey Berrick fell for Kiera the first time he saw her. But, not only is she related to the Stone-Prince clan, she’s 3 years younger than he is . . .which is a big deal since he is headed to college. He’s wasted his freshman year of college by partying and trying to forget Kiera, but he can’t. But now a sophmore, he feels like he’s a man now and needs to start living life for what he wants, and not what his parents want for him, including ditching the girl they want him to marry.

But, can all broken hearts be mended?

I loved being back in Wicked Bay! Kiera and Trey’s story was an unexpected treat in teh series. Kiera doesn’t come from the lavish Wicked Bay lifestyle and watching her try to find her way in that world was enlightening. We also learn more about her background, which gave her character so much depth. I also loved that Trey’s character had more to it than what we saw at first glance. He’s so much more than just the party boy and really was trying to do the right thing by Kiera. I really loved watching their struggle as they both matured from when they first met until Kiera turned 18 and was off to college herself.

4 Stars for Wicked Hearts! I loved being back in Wicked Bay High again as well as spending time with the entire Stone Prince clan.

Okay so I'm late in the game (hangs head in shame) but I promise that I will go back and read the rest of the Wicked Bay novels as I fell in love with Kiera and Trey. From start to finish their love was undeniable, how they each held each other's stares being unable to do anything about it as Kiera was too young and pretty much it would be jail bait if Trey to pursue her the way he wanted. But nonetheless, they both knew they had too many obstacles in the way for them to be a couple. So they went on their merry ways.

But Kiera couldn't deny how hurt she was that Trey didn't make an effort to try and make things right and the only people that counted were her brother and her mother's approval, but Trey didn't think that her brother would be game with him dating his little sister so he cowardly left it alone and instead found himself a girlfriend that his father approved of, now that he never approved of anything Trey did.

Kiera also found solace in Jack even though she knew that what she had with Jack was just in passing, a fling for the summer until she had to leave to San Diego to start college. She wasn't in love with Jack, he was just a distraction for her.

But when Trey comes back to Wicked Bay, can he prove to Kiera that his love for her is true and all he wants is to make her happy?? Kiera already has doubts when it comes to Trey, so can she trust him?

This was such a cute romantic love story between these two kids. I am the type that will root for the main characters until the end no matter what obstacles are put in their way, I know they will find a way to make their HEA happen and that's exactly what Kiera and Trey did.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book, given by the author.

Their love story was forbidden, they fought to stay away from one another, but sometimes fate has other plans.

Kiera has been through a lot more than any girl her age should have. And now everything has changed, she finds herself in a completely different world to what she is used to and it’s hard for her to find her place in it. She also has a super hard time trusting people, because she never had anyone on her side, and the only person that was supposed to be there for her wasn’t. So she doesn’t know how to it, how to let someone in.

In the mist of all this crazy change she runs into Trey. He is a bad boy, a jock, and completely wrong for her, but she can’t seem to stop herself from falling for him.

Trey’s life has been easy; playing ball, girls and parties, up until the moment he runs into the most beautiful girl he has ever seen, and he can’t seem to get her or her sassy mouth out of his mind.

Lies and misunderstandings push them away and it will be up to Trey to mend the bridge between them; otherwise they might always be two broken people.
Will Kiera be able to trust him again?

It was a forbidden kind of love, too many things were at stake and they chose to sacrifice their love.

But now they have become two empty and broken people. Would they risk it all for a chance at love?

Why has this been on my kindle for so long without me reading this?? I'll tell you why.. because i had read so many books since my last Wicked Bay read i was worried I'd need a refresher so I kept putting it off but I shouldn't have worried as I started reading and fell right back into my place surrounded by all the fantastic characters so easily it was like going home!
This time we get the story of lost broken lonely Keira who is still struggling to find her place as the "newest" member of the Stone/Prince family.
Keira is an amazing girl but when she finds herself stuck between the life she knows and her newer life.. a life she never expected to be living full of money and advantages she doesn't know quite how to accept it all...then when she meets Kyle's best friend Trey she struggles to accept her feelings towards him.
Trey has an instant connection with Keira as soon as he sees her but shes the younger sister of his bestie so to say it leaves him feeling confused is an understatement.. he knows what he wants but takes other people's opinions or what he thinks their opinions will be before his own happiness.
But it gives us a story full of emotions angst love lies honesty and heartache.
As always with an La Cotton book it's always just such an easy to read storyline drawing you in hook line and sinker and not wanting it to ever end!
Loved being back in the Wicked Bay life!

Kiera had never fitted in since she found out Kyle was her half sibling, as much as she tried it never worked, neither did her boyfriend but she was just waiting to leave to go to college, no one could find out about the boy who broke her heart.
Trey realised that Callie needed someone who could give her one hundred percent, which wasn’t him, but they worked for now. Deciding to go home, Trey forgot about the engagement party, she was going to be there, but she’d moved on and he assured himself he could handle it.
Seeing Trey brought back memories, seeing him appear jealous at the mention of her boyfriend eased her pain, but she couldn’t talk to him anymore. Kiera assures Macey that he kept his promise and had stayed away until tonight. She can’t help but remember when she met Trey and was told that Kyle and Maverick would never okay with the idea of them.
They were young before and it was the wrong place, wrong time, but can they make it work now there older, Kiera has never felt she’s good enough for their world, Trey never thought he was good enough for her or that anyone would accept it, can they both stop running from what everyone else sees and they think they don’t.

Drama and humour..

This is a fabulous mix of second chance, friends to lovers, and taboo romance...Trey and Kiera are a match made in an alternative heaven...they clearly have feelings for each other, but they have both got insecurities, which amongst a whole host of other obstacles keeps them apart.

Once again the story is focused on the two MC but one of the things that I enjoy about this series is the fact that the whole crowd of previous protagonists and antagonists continue to feature in each instalment; I love the interactions between them, and I am enamoured with all the drama and humour found within this book and the series as a whole.

Lo and Maverick continue to be my favourite couple, but now I have a special place in my book world reserved for Kiera and Trey; these two have made mistakes and their heartache is real, but so is their emotional connection if only the past can be acknowledged, forgiven and forgotten...I received an advanced copy of this book from the author.

We originally met Kyle in Wicked Lies and Kiera is the half sister he never knew about who is now living with them. Kiera is just trying to adapt to her new life as it couldn’t have more different from her childhood where she has always felt like she wasn’t enough, so she strives to fit in and find her place. She has a good group of friends and a boyfriend, but she has never forgotten the one boy she couldn’t have Trey.

Trey is Kyle’s best friend and he became friends with Kiera as well. Their feelings for each other went much deeper but he always held back and now he is at college and has a girlfriend, but he has never forgotten the girl whose heart he broke. Will a visit home break their hearts once again or will they finally have their chance?

This is a story about two people who were always destined to be together but life and circumstances kept interfering. Filled with drama and angst their journey was far from easy but that only makes it more worthwhile.

I loved reading Wicked Hearts. This is Kiera and Trey’s story and I thought the storyline was perfect for this couple.

I loved the emotions that this story brought out in me. I was frustrated for much of the story because I knew what outcome I was hoping for.

I do have a couple of grumbles. I did get a little lost keeping up with the timeline when going from past to present times. I also would have liked to have had Trey and Kiera resolve things a little earlier in the narrative, however, I know we will see more of this couple as the series continues, so I am feeling optimistic that we will see the development of Kiera and Trey’s relationship.

As always, I absolutely love being with the Stone-Prince family and their close circle. I can’t get enough of them, and am dreading when I reach the end of the series.

I highly recommend this series to you to read. Kyle is still my favourite!!

Wicked Hearts: A Wicked Bay Novel (YA/NA crossover series)

Trey & Keira lovestory has heaps of angst, its highly addictive, romance & suspense seeping through the pages.

I have a love/hate relationship with these character's. I absolutely loved Kiera Lessinger & her fiery personality.
Trey Berrick I loved/hated him at the same time. I love his personality, however, his decision making skills could use some work. I love the relationships between the mc's and the supporting character's. I'm happy to read about how Macy Prince & Kiera Lessinger's friendship blossoms. I enjoy reading about Kyle Stone's big brother protectiveness. He's adorable. I love reading about the other character's in this series as well.
I loved how this story unfolds by going back to the past and to the present and it really brought this narrative together.
A fabulous addition to this fun series.
Looking forward to reading Summer and Nick's book next.

So.... I jumped into this series on this book. Having said that, I loved it. Even though I was not familiar with the prior books or characters, I didn't feel lost.

Kiera is a tough cookie. She grew up with a hard life. She is a sister to Stone, who is a character in a prior book (that I really need to go back and read). She never felt like she fit in, not with her mom, who had her own struggles, or with anyone in Wicked Bay. Trey is very complex. He tries to please everyone, but he is not perfect. The thing/person he wants most doesn't really fit into his lifestyle, but he needs to put himself first for once. Surprisingly, two people that are almost equal opposites are perfect for each other.

A really good read with great angst, drama, and some good loving from Kiera and Trey. Off to read the rest of the series.

Another brilliant story from L A Cotton in this series.. have loved every single one and Kiera and Trey's story is no exception !
As always plenty of angst and broken hearts along the way making for a real page turner. These characters just come alive in the hands of LA Cotton, you want to jump on a plane over to Wicked Bay and become their new best friend.. or girlfriend!!
These men sure do know how to claim their women !!
Not quite as much sizzle as some of the others in the series as this is a very on off deal that doesn't conclude til near the end of the story.. so whilst there are a lot of feelings running deep there's much more "will they, won't they" than actually getting it on !
I loved finding out more about Kiera, and Trey wasn't quite what I thought he'd be either.
Can't wait to get Summers story now.. Ms Cotton has certainly sown the seeds ready for that one !!

I,m so so happy that not only did Kiera get to tell her heartfelt story, but that I also got to see Trey unravel too.

This couple have such an undeniable chemistry from the off, but age, family & expectations have always worked against them. Past actions & regrets almost prove to be to much to swim through, but damn did I root for this man as I so wanted him to win his girl & make her happy.

I’ve loved Kiera since her entrance into life at Wicked Bay & I think LAC has done a fab job of showing us just how complex this girl is & how the scars from her past have shaped who she is today ~ hard, confused & angry, yet courageous, determined & a force to be reckoned with.

Loved the dynamic between this couple, loved the way in which the rest of the gang were written into their story & I loved how once again, another boy from the Bay laid his heart on line for his woman.

Fantastic read

I just love Kiera and Trey! Yeah they had their ups and downs. More downs than ups it seemed. But they also had their love for each other! These two have been in love for years. But Kiera's age and Trey's hang-ups have made it difficult for them to take it any further than a friendly relationship. They each fall into a "safe" relationship with other people. I liked Jack (but not for Kiera) and his laid back ways. I didn't like Callie at all. This book was a bit slow for me up until Trey stated his true intentions toward Kiera. Like I said. I loved these two and I loved getting their story. I love this series and can't wait for the next one to come out! *I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.*
