Death before dishonor. It’s the most important rule and the easiest to break. Riding with the Knightdale Charter isn't my first choice. But home is where you go when you leave your heart in a pine box. Grief is like a magnet, and I'm surrounded by shadows. Living life among the darkness, just like her. She's buried an even bigger piece of herself than I have. And all she wants is to finally find the light. If we had any sense at all, we'd steer clear of each other. But I'd rather feel anything than nothing at all. Ashes to ashes and dust to dust. When is it love and not just lust? Don't ask me. I'm a disgrace no matter what.
Janine Infante Bosco lives in New York City, she has always loved reading and writing. When she was thirteen, she began to write her own stories and her passion for writing took off as the years went on. At eighteen, she even wrote a full screenplay with dreams of one day becoming a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
Janine writes emotionally charged novels with an emphasis on family bonds, strong willed female characters, and alpha male men who will do anything for the women they love. She loves to interact with fans and fellow avid romance readers like herself.
She is proud of her success as an author and the friendships she's made in the book community but her greatest accomplishment to date would be her two sons Joseph and Paul.
This is more like 2.5 stars for me but I rounded up because I loved Shady. I liked Bianca, too, and I thought she got a raw deal from everyone with everything she’d been through. Maverick and Holly pissed me off but it’s nice to know their characters are consistent with their story (arseholes). Ghost was a loser but we’re all supposed to feel sorry for him? I didn’t like those 3 at all. And when maverick talks about how important Shady is to him and Holly, I laughed. Actions speak louder than words, buddy. What would have bumped this up another star is if Shady and Bianca moved away from the club and started over elsewhere at a new chapter. And Holly trying to be all tough chick at the end with Bianca? Since when is she protective of Shady? Lol. Besides, she’s got some gall giving Bianca shit after what her and Maverick did to Colt.
Overall, I think if you like this author, this will be a good read. But there are triggers so just be aware of that.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Welcome back the the North Carolina Charter of the Satan's Knights. This is the story of Bianca and Shay, and it is one heck of an emotional ride. I will warn you. If you have read the other books then you know who both of these characters are. Now is the time we get to really dive into their story. This is one of loss. Bianca carries the weight of the world on her shoulders as she as lost a child and in that loss she saw a lot of people blame her for it happening. Can I just say right here that I wanted to dive myself in to this book and smack some heads around for her. Come on people!!! There is just no way she doesn't carry that weight right in the forefront of her mind and then to have it piled on by others was so unfair and just lit a fire inside me that made me angry really. Shady is a man that has grown a lot and he has turned out the be the man you want in your corner no matter what is going on. He is the help that Bianca didn't know she needed to pull herself out of the despair, even if it could cost him everything. But Bianca is so worth everything he and she will go through. These two are just so perfect for each other and the story they have to tell is one you do not want to miss.
I'm so glad that Janine Infante Bosco gave us Bianca's story because the previous story was Ghost's side, and as you well know, there are two sides to every story. That being said, I sure as hell didn't expect the story we got, and I'm not even ashamed to say that I cried more than once as Bianca's pain is palpable. Shady feels like he's a disgrace in everything he does, and I have to be honest, his brother Maverick hasn't treated him that well, or even tried to understand the demons he carried. Shady wanted Bianca the moment he saw her, but Ghost got to her first, so he left well enough alone in the past. In the present time, he's the one who caught her coming into the clubhouse, and it didn't take long for him to do a little digging about the tragic past. No one else wanted to listen to her, but Shady actually cared, and lawd knows Bianca was drowning in grief & guilt, plus she's not living a dream life either. These two should have gotten together way back when because they were perfect for each other, but man the journey isn't going to be easy whatsoever. To see what happened & how it all pans out, you know what to do as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Ashes to Ashes is one you will not want to miss. If you have been following the Satan's Knights MC North Carolina series, then you know a little a little about Bianca. This is her story of how things went so wrong. This is Shady's chance to get the one he has always wanted even when she was taken by another member. This book is filled with healing and following your heart along with all the MC action you love. Sometimes you cannot help how you fall in love with. Sometimes there is more to things than they seem. Sometimes it takes that one person to really listen to both sides to put a picture together. Shady and Bianca have this bond and amazing chemistry. The truth will come out that may just make this MC stronger than ever. All I have to say is hang on and enjoy the ride that brings Shady and Bianca together finally. Go one click this one today.
I have been the lucky recipient of ALCs for this series since book one and I have to tell you that Michael Norman Johnson & Sarah Puckett have made an incredible team and performed all these stories brilliantly! But we’re here to chat about Ashes to Ashes so …
It goes without saying that you should start from the beginning of the series in order to get the best experience about the MC itself. If all you need out of the book is the romance journey, which I do not recommend then go forth and read whichever book you like in whatever order you like! Just be sure to experience them all at some point because if you enjoy MC romance journeys, Janine is one of the best authors you could read!
This story went pretty quick for me. I was in a zone when I listened to it, and it was over before I knew it. Being in a zone is something that very few authors can put me in and even though MC romances tend to almost always get me there, not all authors can do it from the start like Janine can. Also, since I started at the beginning, I was twitchy to see how Bianca’s story was going to unfold. The minute this audiobook went live, I was aware it was in my library like you’d be aware of a livewire nearby LOL I just couldn’t get to it immediately. But when I did … wow!
I felt a lot in the 5ish hours this story was in my ears. My heart was either soaring or breaking thru most of this story, but I was also hopeful, because that’s the story that Janine wrote. From tragedy rose triumph and no two people deserved it more! I’m not gonna lie, there are parts of this story (mainly the lack of support Bianca endured after …) that really made me want to set things on fire. Violence was happening up in my head way too many times! On the flipside we have Shady, and he just took my breath away. THIS STORY!
The story was perfect, Shady & Bianca are perfect for each other, and the narrators dove into these characters and brought them to life in a perfect kind of way! Well done all around! 4.5 rounded up to 5 well deserved stars!
This is a story full of heartbreak and loss which also succeeds in combining this with a love story and healing. Michael Norman Johnson and Sarah Puckett narrates this audio with so much compassion and true expression that it was impossible to stop listening. My heart broke for Bianca and the tale that unfolds had me gripped. An audio that will keep your attention and hope for better days for all concerned. 💖💖💖💖💖
Wow! This was exciting, emotional, and all kinds of heat-inducing. You never know what truly happens unless you know both sides of a story and that's what we get here with getting to find out what happened with Bianca. It's gut-wrenching but I loved Bianca and Shadow together.
If you are looking for an MC story that will take you on one crazy emotional ride this is the book for you. In Ghost’s story we got to hear his side regarding his daughter but we know there are always two sides to any story.
Shady had eyes for Bianca the first time she was at the clubhouse be she and Ghost had gotten together so Shady let things me so as not to cause any trouble within the Satan’s Knights MC. Now with Bianca coming back to the clubhouse to see where her daughter is buried its Shady who is willing to give Bianca his ear to see what her side of this story is.
This was a heartbreaking story that left my emotions all over the place and its definitely a book you would want to pick up as well as the other books in this series.
He’s the brother to the President of the North Carolina Chapter of Satan’s Knights MC, but they aren’t close as brothers. In fact, Shady feels as though his brother has always found everything wrong with what he has done. They’ve had a rocky sibling relationship for years and things have just jumped higher when Bianca returns and wants to know where her daughter has been buried.
Bianca and Ghost didn’t have a loving relationship, they had a daughter together and tried to be together for her, but when tragedy struck these two, their lives fell apart and Ghost is not able to find a way to let Bianca heal. Ghost went down a dark path while Bianca tried to recover on her own only to be beat down at every turn.
This was a very emotional story, but such a great story to be told and read. No one is listening to Bianca’s side, and she’s been cast away to fend for herself, when she returns to the club house for answers to lay her pain to rest, Shady tries to keep his loyalty to his brothers, but his attraction to Bianca has never wavered. These two have a long road to healing and finding common ground, but Shady is determined to have Bianca this time and listen to her side of the story. In doing so, he puts himself on the outs with his club, that is until he makes them listen and understand. I loved this story and characters in this series are always terrific. Bianca has to be convinced that she is worth loving and Shady is the man to convince her. I give this story a 5-star review and I can’t wait for more stories from Janine Infante Bosco, she’s an awesome author and storyteller.
Fantastic Story & Narration🎧Enthralling & Heartfelt!
Ashes to Ashes The Satan's Knights MC North Carolina, Book 3 By: Janine Infante Bosco Narrated by: Michael Norman Johnson, Sarah Puckett
Janine Infante Bosco pens another amazing novel set in the “Satan’s Knights MC North Carolina” series, a romance novel that captivates your attention and tugs at your heartstrings the entire time. Each book of the series features a member of the North Carolina chapter of the Satan’s Knights Motorcycle Club and this third book is Shady, an enforcer, and Bianca’s story. Bianca was Ghost’s old lady, but a tragic loss of their daughter not only broke them apart, but broke them individually. We got Ghost’s story in the second book and he has come a long way thanks to his new woman, but he still blames Bianca and wants her gone. Bianca only wanted to know where he buried their daughter, and understands his hate for her and his grief because she is grieving herself and hates herself too. Shady had a thing for Bianca the moment she stepped into their club, but he missed his chance because Ghost got to her first. So he has a soft spot for her and knew there was more to the story of what really happened that tragic night after she mentioned Knight was in her hospital room when she woke up. Nobody has been in Bianca’s corner since that night and no one saw her like Shady did, and it is him who will bring her out of the dark place she has settled in. There is never a dull moment in this book, with non-stop drama, some angst, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. Thanks for another fantastic story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Michael Norman Johnson and Sarah Puckett continue to do an amazing job portraying these characters, humanizing them and giving each a voice that is fitting. Johnson nailed it as Shady, showcasing his personality and demeanor perfectly, and Puckett does the same as Bianca and is just as amazing. They set the right tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These two make a great team, with voices and talent that complement each other and a performance that elevates the already fantastic story to another level. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another wonderful listen.
This is a very emotional read but for me the tears just didn’t come. I’m not sure why, I’ve read the other books in the series so already had a bit of a connection with the characters but it just didn’t happen.
The worst thing that could ever happen to you is the loss of a child and getting the blame for that death from everyone, including yourself is a burden Bianca doesn’t carry lightly.
Shady wow, it may have took a while but he is definitely a man to have in your corner, he helps Bianca pull herself from despair knowing it could lose him not only his patch with the club but also his brother but she is worth more than all that to him.
After reading ghosts story i really didn’t think there was anyway I could like Bianca as a character but I was so wrong, goes to show you really do need to hear both sides of the story, or read both books in this case.
I know we’ve already had Ghost’s story and this book wasn’t about him but I would’ve liked to have known his thoughts after eventually hearing the truth about his daughters death, the book kinda ended at a point were I wanted more, the next conversation to come seemed like an important one to me so I hope we get a glimpse of it in Capones book.
Ashes to Ashes The Satan's Knights MC North Carolina, Book 3 By: Janine Infante Bosco Narrated by: Michael Norman Johnson, Sarah Puckett
It's Shady and Bianca's turn! Satan's Knights MC is like a family, and like all families, there are some dysfunctional issues! Bianca was Ghost's old lady, but when their daughter was killed, their relationship fell apart. Wanting her out is how he wants to deal with grief and blame as we heard in book 2, but Shady has other plans. She was the one he didn't go after first, and now in her time of need, he is there ready to listen. And what he finds out is jaw dropping. But where does it leave this couple? Will a love between them be accepted? Will Bianca get her closure? This books is packed with emotions, a bit of angst and lot of love. I enjoyed this one and look forward to the next.
Michael Norman Johnson and Sarah Puckett continue their narration of this series and they work really well together. They know the characters well, and I love the consistency of voices from book to book. It makes listening a pleasure hear, and it's like stopping in to visit with this club. Just the right amount of emotion and angst comes through and had my heart. Loved their performance.
I had the opportunity to read this book but listening to the audiobook just took it to another level. This is the third audiobook in The Satan’s Knights MC North Carolina series, and it proves that sometimes there is more to a story than meets the eye. Bianca has returned to the MC to get some information about her daughter, but her arrival is highly unwanted. Shady has always had a soft spot for Bianca but things went left when she wound up pregnant by one of his brothers. Once again, the author has penned a heart pulling tale of how something that could have been so right turned so wrong. Shady and Bianca have such chemistry and share a bond that afford them the opportunity to share and get to the truth. Sarah Puckett is one of my go to narrators as she always highlights the characters emotions to evoke a response from the listener. Michael Norman Johnson is a new narrator to me, and he showcased the personalities of the characters effortlessly. These two together make for a fantastic listen and I loved their duet. Overall, this is one audiobook to add to your listening shelf.
Ok.... first this is another new author to me and I freaking love her now!! Second, this is book 3 in the #SatansKnightsMCNorthCarolina. I had not read the first two before I read this one but I still absolutely loved it! And now I have to go back and read everything @janinebosco has written. So it's a second chance romance that is technically against the rules since the Bianca used to be involved with Ghost, an MC brother of the Shady. Shady and Bianca were friends before she got with Ghost. Because of Shady's trauma he tried to keep her at arm's length. After the tragedy between Bianca and Ghost, she became an outcast and was just trying to keep herself alive. Shady was able to find out what really happened and went to bat for Bianca, to prove she wasn't the horrible person everyone thought she was. And they made each other realize that they both deserve love. It was heart wrenching and I ugly cried. By the end I was crying happy tears. If you love a good MC romance, you should check this one out.
This is book 3 in Bosco's The Satan's Knights MC North Carolina series and can be read / listened as a standalone, is all the better when included as part of this series. Our main characters are Shady and Bianca. If you've been tuned into the series thus far you may remember Bianca from previous book and her tie to Ghost. This book delivers so many hits to both of these characters that I just didn't see a way for either of them, much less together being able to survive but Bosco delivers a twisted and deeply emotional journey of healing in this read/listen. The dual narration delivered by Johnson and Puckett was wonderfully done. I love how Shady finds or better realizes his place with his brother and Bianca is able to forgive herself and live again. Well written, smooth flowing and captivating with secondary ongoing storylines that have me eager for more!
This book was given to me for free at my request and I voluntarily provided this review. *this review is based on the audio version of this read.
"Shady" Burnside and Bianca Ramirez are two tortured souls. Learning what really happened to her and Abigail that fateful night will be really hard for some (check your triggers). It's truly insane and just... I honestly have no words.
Shady and Bianca's story is a whole lot tamer than I expected once you take away what happened to Abigail. Yes, I did like the ride, but it was missing something. Maybe it was their connection? 🤷♀️
The books in this series really should be read in order. You might get away with skipping 1, not that I'd recommend that, but the second book is requisite reading IMO. This does end with a bit of a happy-ish for now, so we'll see where book four takes us.
I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrators are Michael Norman Johnson and Sarah Puckett, and they perform duet narration. Yay! 💜🎧💜
This is the third book in this phenomenal series and is Shady and Bianca’s journey. Shady always had feeling for Bianca even when she hooked up with Ghost, and now Bianca arrives at the club house looking to talk to Ghost and find out where her little girl is buried, which does not go down well with the brothers who blame her for Abigail’s’ death. Bianca is totally shattered and brave enough to confront the MC no matter how badly they treat her. Shady listens to Bianca and figures out there is more to the story than first revealed. This is a well written story which is an emotional roller coaster, with twists, truths, grief, loss, tragedy, redemption, healing, regret, and love, which leads to an intense and heartwrenching story. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
It is true what they say: "it's two sides to a story." I had a deep hate for Bianca. I assume of what happened months prior, but I was wrong. I do feel like it could've been prevented since there's a lot of people involved in this tragedy. I am happy with the outcome of these two characters. Shady surprised me with his emotions and love for Bianca, and I like it a lot. This author has me feeling lots of emotions; she managed to make Bianca a redeemable character in my eyes. There was this quote I found in this book that spoke to me deeply, and I find that I had to share.
Amazing Quote⬇️
If someone looks at you like you’re everything, you start to wonder if just maybe you are worthy of more.
I honestly wasn't sure how I'd feel about Bianca and Shady's story. Both characters have been set up as black sheep in the previous books, but I do love redemption stories-or really sometimes it is just finding out the REAL story. And that is what this book does. It gives us Bianca's side of the story, and her emotional burdens and secrets. It also gives us Shady's thoughts and feelings and shows us their history to an extent-although I admit I wanted more of a glimpse into their past. It became obvious they were meant for each other, but sometimes misunderstandings and a case of getting to the 'right time, right place' delay the inevitable-then again sometimes the path needs to be rocky to shape people correctly. Whatever the case, these two find their spot in both each other's lives and the club. Narrators brought the characters together.
When it was revealed who this story was going to be about, I have to admit I didn't know how this author was going to change our opinion of one of the most condemned and detested people we know. All I knew is that I was down for the ride. What a ride it was!! There is no truer statement than there are three sides to every story, his side, her side and somewhere in the middle, if you're lucky, you find out the truth before it's too late. To say I loved this story is an understatement. Past secrets revealed, fighting for a chance to make everything right, in more ways than one, and a soul deep connection that won't give up. This story has it all and then some.
Ashes to Ashes was a story I had been waiting for. This is a prime example about their always being more than one side to a story. Both characters in this story were ones that I sat on the fence with but once you get drawn into their world and their truths these two hold your heart. Shady is rough on the outside but he has a heart of gold and one that wins you over. Bianca has been to hell and back and is drowning in her grief and guilt but all it takes is releasing the truth and some understanding from the man she has always loved. This is a highly emotional story that is about finding peace, healing, family and falling in love.
Emotionally charged story of pain, loss and redemption. Somethings can never be forgiven. Harsh realities are part of this life. You live by the sword often means you die by one. Janine has written a story filled with characters that are no strangers to pain. They inflict it and live with it. But, this pain was different. It’s unnatural and unacceptable.
Fighting for the truth is never easy and Janine has created a story that winds you around a deep seated hatred between brothers. One woman can take them all down. Her truth will singe them all.
You will feel their pain. Cry their tears and believe in the ability for love to find it’s way through the ashes.
Brilliant narration from both Michael Norman Johnson and Sarah Puckett
Shady may be tough as he is the enforcer, but he has always had a soft spot for Bianca. Bianca had been Ghost’s old lady, but with the tragic loss of their daughter, broke them and torn them apart. Ghost blames Bianca and wants her gone. Bianca needs to know where he buried their daughter. At the same time she understands his hate for her. Both still grieving their loss. Shady knows there is more to what really happened that tragic night. Bianca mentions that a Knight MC was in her hospital room when she woke up. We have drama, angst, emotions, and steamy romance.
Shady has been portrayed as the guy who is always in love with someone else's woman. Bianca is the woman who overdosed while her daughter was in the tub which ended tragically. So I wasn't sure how'd I feel about these two but I was invested. There is so much more to both of these characters than I imagined and I love a redemption story. If you allow yourself you can miss living because of grief and regrets. Get ready for Michael Norman Johnson and Sarah Puckett to bring these characters to life. If you've read/listened to this series so far then you'll know how easily these characters get under your skin and you have to know the rest of the story! Things are getting even more interesting.
Ashes to Ashes, book three in the Satan’s Knights MC North Carolina Chapter, is an intense, heart wrenching story, yet it also contains a glimmer of hope that out of a tragedy, happiness can still find its way out of the ashes. There is always more than one side of a story and as the secrets of Abigail’s death are unveiled and the real truth comes out, the brotherhood maybe shaken up but it is not destroyed. Now, Shady and Bianca have a chance at a happiness they never thought would be possible.
Before you read this book, you absolutely should read the first two.
This book hit all the feels. So much raw emotion; You’ll need a box of tissue to get through it.
Beautifully written and you know it’s pure talent when an author can make you feel and have empathy for a character that you swore would never have any kind of redemption.
This story takes three broken people and shattered lives and puts them back together. So many realizations along the way. So many buried feelings brought to life.
At first I couldn’t stand Bianca, but revelations throughout the story changed my mind. Ashes to Ashes is an emotionally heartbreaking story of love, loss, understanding and healing. I loved Shady and Bianca together. What I didn’t like was how his brother, Maverick and the rest of the MC treat him. Shady did the right thing getting the truth out and bringing some peace to Bianca. Janine has written another fantastic book in the Satan’s Knight MC series! I can’t wait to see what she gives us next!
Janine does it again with another incredible story in the Satan's Knights MC North Carolina series. Just when you think you know the truth...think again. There's your side, my side and then the truth. Thing is...are you willing to keep an open mind and listen??? Secrets are being revealed, trust is being tested, and loyalty is questioned. Janine can write a story! One you just can't miss. So come get lost in the Satan's Knights world. You'll be glad you did.
Omg I wanted to kill Bianca in the beginning but now I feel so bad for her. Her story is messed up and heartbreaking. Shady is the man for her. He does everything right. I love them together and that ending brought happy tears. Emotion’s are all over the place. Love this book. Love this series. Love every book Janine writes.
Yet another exceptional MC book from this author. Janine certainly knows how to capture the vibe of this genre with the addition of some heartaching story lines that will play with your emotions. Great worldbuilding and characters that become real. I'm not sure if anything can take the place of Parrish in Satan's Knights New York but this spin off is certainly giving me a run for my money.
