For a person who does not have an issue with diet/weight, but instead is reading to support someone else (that was my case), this book might be tiring and repetitive. If you *are* a person with diet/weight obsession, this review is probably not for you.

The book has some interesting information. The author had read a lot of books and papers, so she presents a good set of information. But some chapters are just saying the same thing again and again, so I would suggest you to simply skip parts that seem too obvious for you.

It is still a good book to find some useful information about the subject, the only problem is to know where in the book those informations are. ;-)

Not very compelling to read and same old information rehashed. The plus may be that it's in one place. It doesn't feel like the author actually has an issue with food and was just re-iterating what she's researched. Still looking for something to resonate with me. I wouldn't recommend not reading it if you have an issue with food because it may work for you. But it's not for me.

Very helpful while I was struggling with my eating disorder. It offers a very helpful perspective on food and how we view it in society.

I wanted to care about my issues with food, but it turns out I just don't. I'll let my demons talk to each other about those issues while I up the incline on the treadmill.
