Luke Callaghan, millionaire and secret agent, must embark on the toughest rescue mission of his life when Haley Mercado, the only woman he has ever loved, confesses to having his child--a baby girl who has been kidnapped by the notorious Texas Mafia. Original.
After a 23-year AF career, Colonel Merline Lovelace launched a second career as a writer, basing many of her tales on her own experiences in uniform and on her travels all around the globe.
The USA Today best-selling author now has more than 11 million copies of her books in print. Her works have won numerous awards, including the Romance Writers of America's prestigious RITA. Merline is especially proud to have been named the University of Oklahoma's Writer of the Year and the Oklahoma Female Veteran of the Year.
Considering the whole climax of the plot fizzled out, I am rating it higher than it deserves because this was the 20th book in a series where the author has to work with previously written plot points and bring it to a close. Unfortunately the loose threads didn't get wrapped up that well and the writing was a bit lazy and the ending didn't make sense in how they recover their daughter or how her brother comes through as if by magic out of thin air.
