They used me for my power. What they don’t realise is that they created something more powerful than they could have ever imagined.

We didn’t escape the Lycans unscathed. Knox is hurt—physically and emotionally. My powers are gone. And Javion…

My mates want me to rest and recover, but how can I do that when the ones who hurt me and my mates are still out there? The only thing that will make me feel better is revenge.

If the Lycans want me back, they’re going to get me. Because everything they’ve done has changed me more than anyone could ever realise... Deep inside me, I have the power to make things right.

They created a being so powerful and when they find out, they’re going to be Shocked.

It's been about a year since I read the previous book in the series, and I'm not sure what changed since I had apparently rated the other two books as 4-stars, but I was not really enjoying this final book in the trilogy.

I started skimming about 20% into the book due to very repetitive arguments and decided to stop reading at 30% into the book after they met I didn't feel like slogging through another 400+ pages of the same discussions.

The FMC Zera had faulty power from being imprisoned and kept trying to go out to rescue without a real plan. The other gargoyles kept blaming Carter/DB for setting off the first decision that ended up getting and on and on. Zera's naivety started getting on my nerves, and the gargoyles didn't seem like very competent planners in general.

Maybe I'll try re-reading the trilogy from the beginning at another point, but at this time, I don't feel like spending the time to finish this book.

This story picks up right after Charged - Zee and her gargoyles are escaping the Lycans - but what about Javion - I loved seeing Zee’s growth and fierceness in this story. I also loved that while she is fighting her triggers they are not jut miraculously cured. The guys are great - but I really loved Javion in this book. I kind of felt bad for him at times, but I also loved that he always believed in Zee. This story has humor (Zee interpretations of things can be pretty funny), steam, and is a great conclusion for this series. I do hope we get future stories in this world and can maybe revisit Zee and her guys.

I think I'm rage DNFing this book. I don't know what happened. I liked the first 2 books a lot. I went back and checked. Both rated 4 stars.
Now I know Zera is naive but you would think after 3 books she would evolve a bit. It probably has something to do with all the gaslighting those gargoyles are doing to her. "You can't do that, we'll talk about later (then never do) you don't need to worry about it."
Now as I said I know she is naive but they treat her like a child not a mate and that irks me. If they actually sat down and had an honest conversation this book would have 300 less pages.
Thinking on it now I'll tell you why I'm hating this book...
Javion isn't there! He's the only one who doesn't treat her like a dumb useless idiot.

Maybe I'll come back later and change the rating when I'm not so angry at those fucking gargoyles. (I hate leaving a bad rating but this time I can't not do it)

The first half of the book was hard for me to get invested in. It was a bit dull and repetitive to me. While I enjoyed seeing how the story ended it wasn't enough to pull it up to a four star for me. Zera and her naivety got a bit grating after a while.

Destroy the lycans!

This book threw me for a loop! The ending of the previous book was heart wrenching and I can't say that the beginning of this book was much better. We already got a small glimpse on what happens to the group when Javion isn't in the picture but this final book really solidified that Zera, Javion, Carter, Knox, and Hunter are a family. They are strongest together as a group. Without Javion, they are broken. Knox is angry, resentful, and heartbroken, lashing out at the others and starting fights. The relationship between the brothers was indistinguishable at moments, and Zera, despite her rocky start with Javion, was torn without him there. Without one, the group will fall.

Zera was really amazing in this final book--not that she wasn't in the other books, but I feel like she really thought outside of the box in this one. She might not know the basics to a lot of things and was mostly uneducated due to her captivity by the lycans, but the girl had a good head on her shoulders. She was really great at taking what she does know and running with it. Her ability to astral project seriously came in handy in unexpected ways that only she would think to try. She was all about taking chances to save the people she cares about. Although sometimes risky, it was always worth it to her in the end.

The little bit of a bond that started to grow between Zera and Javion strengthened in this book as well. They "don't not like" each other now. Compared to the others, their relationship was quite different, that's for sure. Hugs and cute moments weren't their thing, but whereas the gargoyles treat her as something fragile, Javion had always believed her to be something powerful. His blunt attitude was something that Zera actually appreciated because she knew that he wouldn't lie to her or try to talk her out of things when she was determined to do them. Earlier in this series, I'm sure he would have just ignored Zera or avoided her at all costs, but when the time came and she was in need of support, he seemed to be there and had all the right words to get her in the right mindset or to the correct conclusion. It was a huge turnaround for them, but the moments these two had throughout the book were some of my favorites.

Zera's powers throughout this series have been up and down, fluctuating as her situations continue to change. I really liked how things were explained in this book once she was able to discover how her powers actually worked and how she generated her electricity. There were moments where I wasn't sure if she would be able to pull through with her abilities to destroy the lycans how she desired to, but boy was I glad to be wrong! I absolutely love when characters are underestimated (not just by myself but by other characters too). It makes the final bang so much more worthwhile. And let me tell you, in a time of so much weakness, Zera brought everything she had to the table. Because when protecting those she loves and claims as her own, she will do whatever it takes. Such a phenomenal ending for this group!

- Gargoyle mmcs
- Vampire mmc
- Elemental/Fae fmc
- Why Choose/Reverse Harem
- Nerdy mmc (Hunter)
- Older mmc (Age gap of 20+ years) (Carter/DB)
- Existing MM relationship (Knox and Javion)
- Found Family
- DP/Threesome
- Happily Ever After

The thrilling conclusion of the series picks up right where we left off, Zera's powers are gone, Javion is dead, and everything is broken and wrong.

Overall I really enjoyed this series, the men are fantastic and all very distinctly different. Hunter is nerdy and thoughtful; Knox is broody and quiet; Carter is older, more logical and the sense of reason; and Javion is grumpy, sarcastic, and perfectly dominant when he needs to be. Zera is still the naive and blunt creature she has always been, and I really like to think that beyond the books she gains a more evened out personality. I hate to complain about a FMC, especially one that's supposed to be badass, but if I had to hear "I want to destroy the lycans" one more time I might have thrown my kindle out the window. She has a one-track mind; no, scratch that...she wants food, sex and to destroy an entire race of creatures because a select few hurt everyone. Named after a Pokemon though. I like that. I think it's hilarious the author snuck it in there as a fun little reference for the nerds out there.

There is some funky-wunky-timey-wimey stuff going on in this book that made us have to repeat several chapters. It's the reason I am rating a four instead of a five. It was just too much. I think it could have been like 200 pages shorter and been just fine, but again that's just me. I should have seen it coming, it's set up in previous books but....I dunno, it just felt like a chore having to repeat information I have already read just add a character that wasn't there before to it.

Also, I am with Zera. Can we get a bonus scene where they all get drunk and she convinces them to bang all together? I like that idea. Probably the best one she ever had!

It was a good end to the series. It was a good end to their story. And in my head, they live a long life and have lots of electrical gargoyle babies.

Too messy, too many loose ends, too many editing errors

This series is a bit of a let down. The author tried to stuff too much in and made a jumbled messy read. Add in terrible editing and it really wasn't fun to read either. Then we get to the end which was rushed, and felt incomplete. It just didn't quite work.

Zera is a decent FMC. She has way more strength and determination than most main characters. Unfortunately she is like a toddler with a cookie. Even after 3 books over a seemingly protracted period of time (the timeline is kinda vague) Zera never advances in her social skills or personality building. She's an odd dichotomous character with an excessive focus on sex despite being childish in all other ways. It gets more obnoxious and uncomfortable as the books progress. Her lack of emotional range (beyond rage) and lack of curiosity regarding her family makes her seem more sociopath than stunted young woman.

Javion manages to grow a bit of humanity finally. Carter and Hunter are still overly controlling jerks. Knox is a good'un. They're ok but by no stretch of the imagination do any of these guys seem like a contender for "great MMC" lists.

There is no antagonist motivation beyond evil research. While the resolution is shockingly appropriate (pun intended), the larger worldview is baffling. That goes for the supposed council as well - they exist to do nothing? It makes no sense.

The loose thread side characters are beyond excessive. It's obvious and mentioned in her post book statement that she has hopes for some spin-off series. Unfortunately this one is so messy that I don't think I will invest more time in the poorly constructed universe she's writing. The messy time rewrite was bizarre and even one of the characters said it's a terrible thing in fiction.

We pick right up from where we ended the last book and are faced with some tough changes to deal with.

Recovering from the trauma inflicted gave the characters a chance to delve into themselves and with some more time they all started to grow. Then all of that essentially gets nixed and we have to start again… I didn’t really enjoy that as it had a lot of implications and kind of dulled the stakes in the story. I did very much appreciate the growth, of the FMC in particular finally, and all the MCs in general, it was very gradual on all fronts.

Our last relationship pairing finally acknowledged what they are to each other, and I like how their relationship only needed to shift just the slightest bit. Things definitely got more spicy amongst all the different parings.

The magic in the story remains a mystery on many fronts and most things surrounding the FMC don’t ever get figured out. We get more of her history teased, with some general explanations of the historical past, but nothing directly pertaining to the FMC and her family or her magic.

There was a nice epic action packed ending, followed by an epilogue that showed off the relaxed HEA our MCs got. Yet it also brought up a number of the unanswered questions I have about this world and the FMC with seemingly no chance for answers.

I’m not sure if I’ll be jumping back into this universe any time soon. I believe there are other books written with characters we’ve met in this series, but I don’t like being left with so many loose ends and wouldn’t want to finish another series with that.

Zera’s story comes to its end in this last book of the trilogy!
There’s certainly some shocks going on in terms of Zeras power and what she can actually do in terms of the astral projection, although that come to light after some truly heartbreaking scenes 😩 although it gives them a second chance and this time around they really do become a family and work to get over their issues ☺️
Zera is determined to destroy the Lycans and will do whatever she can to achieve that goal - at points she comes across a bit bratty and naive but then you have to remember she has been in parvovirus since she was five so near that in mind when you want her to see reason!!
Overall a good finish for a trilogy that has a very different take on Fae, Lycan, Gargoyles and Vampires - well worth a read.

Our heroine is done being idle. They hurt the ones she loves and now it is her turn to strike back. Enemies beware!

This is book three and the conclusion of the series. I strongly recommend starting at the beginning.

This is an urban fantasy story with a reverse harem element to it. The story is very well written and easy to read. Both the setting and characters are well done and continue to grow and develop with each book, which is a big plus for me. This one has a lot of action to it as all the pieces are drawn together for the final showdown. Overall, this has been a great series and I look forward to seeing our author's next creation.

Highly recommended.

This was good but I did feel like it focused romantically almost entirely on Knox, Javion, and Zera. TBH Carter got robbed. Him and Zera had no intimate scenes in this entire book. And I kinda hated the time travel because it meant the whole 40% of the book was irrelevant. Overall this was good but I felt like the romance suffered. Especially when it came to Hunter and Carter. Tired of RH authors not making it even. ALSOOOO JAVION AND ZERA NEVER SAID I LOVE YOU. HE NEVER CALLED HER HIS BETROTHED. WTF WAS THAT. SUCH A RELATIONSHIP LOOSE END AFTER BEING SO BUILT UP???? We got sexual development between them but a lack of real emotional development and communication. Lowering my rating to 3 stars because of that. I felt like this last book let the series and characters down.

Love ❤️❤️❤️❤️

This series is beyond amazing and sweet! I do have some issues with Javion and the development of their relationship. I wish you could see them develop and admit more of their feelings both ways but it seems a little rushed at the end of the last book. Also I want to see way more about them! The ending did not feel complete with those characters, especially with zera being fae and knowing nothing about her family. I do love Zera so much and how she acts and is so sweet and straightforward that it makes it funny 😄 still one of my favorite books and will 100% be rereading this series many times!

Same character issues but I wanted to get to the end.

The ending of the series seemed to drag out and as I looked at the percentage left, I kept thinking this isn't right because the actual big built up was at 90%+. The characters do manage to get revenge on the primary "evil" people because the heroine finally in a crunch situation is able to fully harness and understand her power. Then the end seems to set up for another book/more story, but it seems shut down quickly.

It was an odd finish and left me feeling unsatisfied.

What a wild ride of a ending to this wonderful story! As soon as I started this book yesterday, I was thoroughly hooked. So much so that I finished at 1:00 this morning, I just couldn't stop reading.

I'm sorry to say goodbye to Zera and her men, and I only feel that when a series is truly great. But this was an exceptional ending, the pacing, the character growth, the fact there are no loose ends, and there were still plenty of surprises. I highly recommend this series.

Zera and Know are in rough shape at the beginning and this picks up right at the end of book 2 so we don’t miss anything that happened. This book has everything you want in the final showdown and finale book of a series. There’s grief, anger, love, healing, forgiveness and revenge/vengeance against those that have wronged them. Fitting ending for all our favorite characters.

I adored this series. I will refer to this as the Sparky Gargoyle Book forever. I love Jay so much that I wanted more steam with him involved, but that's just me. I think that when I got to the time travel part, I had nearly thrown the book. It felt so out of left field, and the final battle felt the same. It felt a little rushed at the end, but I think I liked the ending but I still felt myself craving more at the end of it.

Great series

Not often fond of a multi book 'one shot' but glad I took the leap. Only neg is I found it a slow burn. Overall positive. Loved the characters. Well rounded and well written. I really felt Zera's confusion about the world and why people would not be upfront with the full truth. Well written, fully enjoyed.

I had expected a little more from this final instalment. The ending was predictable, but I did like the twist with time travel. It also left quite a bit unexplored, but I guess the ending was cute enough. I'm still not sure how to feel about Zera, but I appreciate the consistency in her personality – despite wishing for a bit more development both emotionally and psychologically.

Amazing

The last book was amazing and I loved the entire series! All the characters were great as was the storyline. The action and cute funny scenes keeps you involved in the book. I just wish we didn't have to wait so long between books. Definitely recommend reading this great & well written series.

4.5 - I adore Zera, everything about her. She is delightfully bloodthirsty, while still being somehow innocent. Honest to a fault and so determined she make me smile. Great ending.

Great series

Enjoyable read. I loved Zera and her unfiltered innocence. I enjoyed the entire series, however, it feels unfinished. There were a few things that either didn’t belong or needed more of a storyline, which is why it feels unfinished.

This series was honestly pretty good there were certainly aspects I didn’t like but that’s just my preference. However I genuinely loved the story line. I loved how it all tied together & that Zera got her HEA lord knows she deserved it after everything she went through!
