After reading the first two duets in this 'Shaken' series, I was so ready to get to the final duet from the last Hollingsworth sibling and only sister, Beau. Beau and Cal's story had been teased at and I didn't know what to expect but I loved the turn it took!
I know this is going to be an epic conclusion and second chance romance when we get to Break. I adore Beau and Cal both and I'm excited to see where this goes and how their families will react to their news. I can't wait to see how everything pans out and here is to hoping Samuel Hollingsworth gets what's coming to him!
If you love epic romances, fantastic family ties/family dynamic, dogs, and a bit of mystery and suspense you need these books in your life!

4 Cal Stars
I knew there was something going on with Cal and Beau in past books and I knew it was gonna be good, but Grahame Claire really brought the drama. This book had me all over the place. I was mad, I laughed and I rooted for Cal and Beau. On a side note I also rooted that really bad things would happen to Beau's dad and Alex. Just saying! Samuel Hollingsworth was such a rotting bastard. He had me raging so bad while reading I thought the vein in forehead would pop.
I liked Beau a lot but I loved Cal. I felt so bad for him feeling like he wasn't good enough. Cal and Beau had such a deep connection and past hurts that complicated their relationship. I felt so much for both of them. I truly hated Alex and Samuel Hollingsworth and I can't tell you how many times I screamed idle threats at those fictional characters. It drove me crazy that Beau, and really her two brothers too, let their dad run their lives and treat them the way he did. I really wanted Beau to tell her father to fuck off. Alex too. It drove me crazy. I loved all the dogs they bring such cuteness to the story. The ending omg the damn ending...... Why Grahame Claire why do you do this to me???? I hope in the second book Samuel and Alex get theirs......

I am liking Bend very much. The length is short but it fulls of everything that is needed to make the story works. Beau and Cal is electric together. Their chemistry is hot and sizzling. What is surprising, the sex scenes are not explicit. Miss Claire done a good job putting fire into the romance.
Lately I have been looking for romance but consists of novella/ short length. I found out some authors have a knack of talent to present their story beautifully. Not with too much drama or too many plot twist. Bend is ending with cliffhanger. The story continues to Break.

I need more! My heart was breaking for Beau during this story and I felt so connected to her. Her character was more of a mystery during the previous duets for her brothers but even the little parts we got from her before had me intrigued. And now reading her story and getting to learn more about her I'm even more captivated and excited to see how her story will end up.
I loved her and Garrett's connection and all of the tension that was between them as they fought to hold on to their past hurts. It really made the story enjoyable and had me staying up until my eyes hurt to read until the end. And it was still on my mind this morning because I'm dying to know how they'll end up.

I can't wait to see where this goes.
This series is really amazing and I'm dying to see how it all ends. I love how close and loyal Teague, Lincoln and Beau are. Their devotion is tight and they'd do anything for each other.
I loved them just as much as I despised their father. I tried to find something redeeming about him, I really did, but my conclusion is: he's an effing jerk.
Cal/Garrett was incredible. I loved him so much. He's so loyal to his family, his friends and even Beau, despite their turbulent past. He's caring and always willing to go above and beyond for the ones he loves.
On the other hand, I liked Beau better in the previous books. She was always so strong and selfless. But now, I've found her to be selfish and it was hard to understand the dynamics she shared with Garrett.
She claimed she was getting back at him for what he did to her in the past, but she never considered that even then she acted like a precious princess and never truly cared about his unending problems.
There was just a lot of resentment between them.
I know she had some big issues to deal with this time (huge ones, and I feared deeply for her), and I understand not wanting to burden her brothers with it, but once they became aware of their father's plans, not asking for help wasn't a move of a strong person. She was just playing the martyr card.
Still, things unraveled in a way that led Garrett and Beau to take matters into their own hands (I assume), and that'll make things really interesting in the next and final book.
There're so many unanswered questions and the Hollingsworth siblings and their loved ones are all so far away from being safe, I'm sure the next book will bring all the emotions.
I can't wait.

This duo has done it again! They had me captivated and the edge of my seat as Beau and Garrett’s love story unfolded. I loved the characters and their development as a couple and individuals. The cliffy at the end wasn’t a bad one but I really need book 2 now. I look forward to their final book and hope that they put an end to Samuel. I can’t stand him!

What exactly that is, is unnamed throughout this whole series, but whatever it is, is bad enough that Beau and her brothers have all ended up doing things they'd rather not do just to avoid their father's threats. If that isn't bad enough, there's Cal. Yes, Cal. Her brother's fellow firefighter, friend, and the man who broke her heart. He's back in her life and she's unsure what to do with it, with him.
Cal's got the weight of the world on his shoulders. The woman he loves but had to push away is in his life and he can't really have her, never could. But he can't do nothing when she's around, can't keep his hands or his mind, off her. But when she comes to him needing his help in a way he can't resist, will he help her, again? Or are all the other things and people in his life more important than the woman he can't really have?
Beau's backstory is pretty heartbreaking. I've been wanting to know her better since this series began, and I'm so glad I finally got some details. She and Cal have got a complicated history and an even more complicated present, but they're obviously in love, and I have hope things will work out for them, as things worked out for her brothers. The cliffhanger brought up a big question, and I think I know where the story is heading, so now I'm really anxious for Break to come out, so I can know everything!

This is the first book in the Bend and Break Duet from Graham Claire. This is the story of Beau and she is a girl who finds herself about to be married to a stranger in a few weeks. Her brothers Lincoln and Teague are super protective and try their best to protect her but they are at a loss too. But never fear Beau has a plan. If she has to marry this stranger then the only way she sees for that not to happen is to marry someone else. But first I must digress and tell you that Beau is introduced to this mystery man by her father one time and that meeting resulted in him almost crushing her hand and badly bruising her arm. No doubt about it, if she ends up with this man there is no doubt that the abuse will continue and get worse. And this is also where I need to tell you that you are going to hate with a passion Beau's father. Its ok I hated him so much. Ugh what a horrible horrible man this is. However she doesn't let her brothers know what Alex did to her and it is very hard to protect someone when they are keeping such secrets but Beau has a bad habit of keeping things from her brothers. Beau however refuses to live this life and has only ever had one boyfriend in her life and that was Garrett Calhoun who is a firefighter and a very close friend of her brother Teague. But as usual brothers never ever think that anyone is good enough for their sister. He also though hurt Beau. So will her plan to marry someone else even work with her overprotective brothers looking out for her. You have to read to find out. There is a lot going on in this book and it really keeps you on your toes but I loved it. I loved Beau and I like watching her grow because when this book first started I knew this was a girl who had a lot of growing up to do. This is the first book in a duet so you should expect a cliffhanger...did I mention that I hate Beaus' father. Ugh that man. I have to know if he gets what he deserves in the end now.

I was on the verge of tears for most of this book. Seeing all Beau endured from her father and how broken both she and Cal were just shredded my heart. But they did work well together. They each provided what the other needed to keep going. In each of her brother’s stories we saw glimpses of Beau’s animosity toward Cal and I gotta admit she had a dang good reason for it. While they are a long way from reconciliation and closure, it was nice to see them try to get past it. And getting to read both their POVs excites me even more for when they finally admit their feelings to each other and get their HEA
After being kept in the dark by her brothers and begging them to be more open with her, you would think that Beau would have learned something from that and been more forthcoming when it was her turn to be honest. Yes she was independent, confident and strong but it was annoying that she bottled up all her problems especially since they were worse than any of her brother’s problems.
As irritating as that was I did admire Beau. She loved her siblings and would do anything for them. The only solace is that at least she had Cal to help her. I loved how protective he was of her and that he treated her with such care, love and respect.

Beau takes a lot of getting used to. Her brothers Lincoln and Teague try to keep her safe from their no good father but she keeps too many secrets from them. Never divulging to her brothers what their father is setting up for her. Samuel Hollingsworth introduces her to her future husband. Something they don't know is that he is very abusive and hurt her the first time they met almost breaking the bones in her hand and drastically bruising her arm. She manages an escape but doesn't let anyone know what Alex did to her. Again secrets. So he gets away with it since she doesn't try to defend herself. There is another time which is a shocker because that time there is a witness but he doesn't do anything to help his daughter or make Alex pay.
Beau had a relationship when much younger with Garrett Calhoun a firefighter and close friend of Teague her brother which was kept a secret. No one messes with Teague or Lincoln's baby sister. Older brothers thinking no one is good enough for her. She's having trouble coming to terms that she's still in love with Garrett and she doesn't know that he never stopped loving her.
Garrett is livid at what Alex did to hurt Beau. All of Garrett's brothers are firemen following in their father's footsteps. Their lives along with their mother's were shattered when he lost his life in a fire. Also, Garrett's oldest brother is going through a very bad time with his life. It all started when his wife of many years delivered some news that destroyed Joe's life. You love the whole Calhoun family unit and suffer with everything that happens to them.There are wedding bells ringing for Lincoln and Lexie and the unexpected bells for Beau.
The Calhoun family might be experiencing future hardships. You can't help but be on their side and hope that things won't get really bad for them. You can't help but love the relationships the brothers have with one another as well with their mother. She rules her family of all boys with love, honesty and all the closeness of a familial relationship.
Beau needs to do some much needed growing up and you can't help but hope she does it quick. She also needs to end her relationship with her father. Find out if he had her mother killed many years ago and why he went to lengths to stop the investigation into her murder. All three siblings need to unite and go against Samuel Hollingsworth and take away all his power. Put him out in the streets where he belongs.
It's going to be hard waiting for Break to come out. I need to see if an end is coming for Samuel Hollingsworth. But am looking forward to all the other great characters in the whole saga. Love love love Grahame Claire's work. Such great books to read, enjoy and become a part of.

Wow, I had to get my emotions under control before writing this review because this book....it touched my heart and my soul so deeply. And that's not to say that every single word that Grahame Claire writes doesn't touch me, because every single word absolutely does. There isn't a book that these authors have written that hasn't made me stop and think and wonder, "what would I do under these circumstances?" I have been intrigued with Beau since she made her first appearance in this mysterious, but deeply emotional, family. If you've read my reviews, you know how I adored Teague, loved Lincoln with my whole heart and now, Beau has stolen what's left of it! This woman is strong, brave, incredibly smart and courageous, but I also knew there was a compassionate side that we just didn't see in the first 4 books. My heart was crushed for her throughout this read. Have you ever felt so invested in characters that you want to jump into the pages and help them?! I wanted to help her so much. Without giving anything away or ruining the plot, let me just say that I didn't like her father before because of what he put Teague and Lincoln through, but now, I'm ashamed of the things I'd like to do to the man! And Cal, swoony, sexy Cal - that's all I'm going to say! This book brought out so many different feelings and emotions in me which only proves again, that Grahame Claire is most definitely in the top spot of my favorite authors. I can't wait to read Break, Book #2, and I have no doubt it will knock my socks off! I wish I could give this book a million stars! Well done Grahame Claire!

I keep getting myself into these cliffhangers and it’s killing me, but this one will be worth every minute of agony. I’m hooked on Beau and Cal. Beau initially seemed weak and shallow because she didn’t want to stand up to her abusive father. She made it sound like she valued her job too much to walk away but there’s a lot more to the story.
She and Cal have a history and it’s not a friendly one. They were in love and inseparable for three years, but they kept their relationship a secret. Cal thinks it’s because Beau is embarrassed that he’s a blue-collar guy, but the truth is that she was trying to protect him from an enormous threat but never explained. Their breakup was ugly and cruel, but neither of them ever got over it. Even a dozen years later, they’re still drawn to one another, although they both try to pretend it’s purely physical.
Now Beau is in trouble and she may have pulled Cal into something too big to save him from, but we shall see. Their love/hate relationship will make your head spin but also tugs at the hearts strings. I can’t wait to see where this goes.

I was honestly excited to finally get Beau's story. We got a lot of her in her brother's books, and I was wanting to understand her and Cal's dynamics aside from there background bickering we saw in those books. It was a little of what I suspected in that they had history, but there was just a little lacking in the "meat" of why it went the way it did. With that being said, this is a cliffhanger, so maybe we'll get a better understanding of that in the next book. I also don't quite understand why she didn't let her brothers in on what her dad was up to, that seemed a bit silly to me. They easily could have helped her, and again, maybe we'll see a bit more about her reasoning behind that in the next book.
We get extra drama (which is a positive to me) in Cal's family dynamics. His brother Joe has a lot going on, his younger brother also has problems. He tries to help everybody in his family, as well as Beau. He has such a huge heart.
Overall, this was pretty good, but she could have been a little less childish given that she is an adult. I would not let that deter you from reading this, as I definitely think it's worth the read. I can't wait for the ending to this.

We get extra drama (which is a positive to me) in Cal's family dynamics. His brother Joe has a lot going on, his younger brother also has problems. He tries to help everybody in his family, as well as Beau. He has such a huge heart.
Overall, this was pretty good, but she could have been a little less childish given that she is an adult. I would not let that deter you from reading this, as I definitely think it's worth the read. I can't wait for the ending to this.

I really didn't think that Beau's story could surprise me but....I was wrong in a major way.
For those of us who read Teague and Lincoln's stories we knew their father is an ass and the author even gave us a clue on what was in store for Beau.
I'm speachless when it comes to articulating my thoughts on far these three siblings father would go to get his way. Teague's story took my breath away then Lincoln's gave me a bit more insight into the family dynamics and managed to astonish me even further. But Beau....this one so far has me blood pressure staggering high with thoughts of castration. Evil, that's the only word I can describe their father. Beau never came across as a weak yet I can understand her behaviors when it comes to their father. She has managed to live her life mostly happily when she escaped to England but all her beliefs are torn apart as she learns what her father has in store for her. Now, I have to patiently wait for the conclusion of her story without dark thoughts entering my mind everytime I think of what has happened so far.
I wish you could read my mind to understand how outstanding these books are and how much I want everyone to have their own copy. Highly recommended!

Bend is book 1 in Beau and Cal's duet. Since the beginning of the Shaken Series, I've been anticipating Beau's story, and wow did Grahame Claire deliver with this story. This story picked up where Fall left off, diving into all the newfound craziness of an arranged marriage/ business deal Daddy Hollingsworth forced on Beau. Beau remains strong and confident and goes along with her Daddy's plan until the she figures out Alex, the man she is to marry is abusive, and definitely not what he seems. Meanwhile, Beau has been secretly seeing Cal, and they have a romantic history that didn't end well the first time. However, as the Beau and Cal spend more time together and confide in one another, Beau may need to take matters into her own hands to be finished with her father and Alex once and for all. Now, I need to immediately start listening to Break!
Connor Crais and Avery Caris narrate this audio, and both had me completely wrapped up in the story with their captivating performances. Avery Caris is a new to me narrator, and she completely wowed me with her performance of brave and determined Beau. Beau is faced with many difficult decisions, and through Avery's narration, you could feel all of her conflicted feelings and vulnerabilities. Connor Crais brought all of his fiery passion to his performance of Cal. You could feel Cal's strength, devotion to his family, and love for Beau in his narration.

Beau is to marry a man her father picked out for her, but she has never met him. After she meets him she is even more desperate not to marry him. As she tries to figure out how to get out of her arranged marriage she ends up meeting up with the man who broke her heart years before. Cal is a firefighter who has a lot to deal with in his big Italian family. He's trying to be the best son, brother and firefighter. Cal and Beau used to be in a secret relationship years ago until Cal broke it off with Beau. Beau hates him for that because she believes he never truly loved her. Now with her impending nuptials coming faster Beau will do anything not to say I do to the evil man her father is trying to marry her off. Even if it means marrying the man who broke her heart.
This is my first book by this author, but it definitely won't be my last. I love how this author gave complicated backstories for both characters. Beau is a strong, young woman, but at times may be perceived as weak, but that only shows even the strongest people still are human when it comes to their families. Cal is a protector and tries to protect the ones he loves even if it is the wrong choice and not what they need. I don't want to give too much away, but you need to read this story! I can't wait to see how this duet ends and will definitely be checking out the other duets on Beau's brothers!

Eeep! I was so excited to read Beau’s story and now I can’t wait to read Break! Bend starts with a gasp & ends with a WTH?! Everything in between is a perfect mix of angst, frustration (seriously Their DAD🤬), wanting to pay a visit to Alex (what a total douche canoe).
We find out just how involved Beau & Garrett were and how they ended. But their bond is still there & so is their 🔥🔥. I need Break asap! I know Daddy Hollingsworth is about to lose his mind!!!

Sometimes a little hard to read, but excellent
This is the story of Beau, Lincoln's sister (the previous 2 books). Her story begins intriguingly with a prologue at a marriage.
The story is fascinating because Beau is constrained by her father and the whole story is about her choices between resisting or bending, to her father's will, but the abuse she suffered from her future husband (whom she does not know) are such that her only support is her ex Cal who has more than a bad reputation.
The story is very moving, violent at times to read, but addictive to know how Beau and Cal will be okay. The story ends on a well-placed cliffhanger.

This is the best story so far. I have been waiting for Beau's story. She is strong, confident, outspoken and doesn't want a man in her life. That isn't what her father thinks. He has ulterior motives, forcing Beau to do the unthinkable, a marriage/ business arrangement. Her intended is jerk, an abuser. No way, She doesn't need another man to control her life.
But her father has repercussions if she doesn't agree to this arrangement. She knows her father will retaliate if she doesn't proceed with his plans.
I love Beau feisty attitude. Playing along with her dad, but having an agenda of her own.
Grahame Claire has brought out the vulnerable side of Beau. Her insecurities, her thoughts, her fears and becoming weak. The intensity, the angst, and Beau actually fearing for her life, I had to stop and reflect what is happening to this strong woman to make her so vulnerable and weak? Is Her confidence is only a wall to protect herself emotionally from getting hurt? This story is emotional and very well written.
I received an ARC and gladly offered my honest review of this amazing story.

When I thought I loved Lincoln and Teague, I had no clue how much Beau would come in and swipe me off my feet. Beau's story is heartbreaking in a way that is different from her brothers because in her decision to go along with her arranged marriage, she has a feeling she'll wind up dead. She keeps up the sham to protect her brothers and her willingness to give everything including her life for her brothers is both beautiful and tragic.
While Cal personally isn't going through a lot, his family is in shambles after his brother's marriage blows up. Between his relationship with Beau and his brothers problems, everything around him is falling apart and for a firefighter who saves the day, it's the worse situation to be in.
My favorite thing about Beau and Cal is how easily they break through each other's walls. Cal is the only one Beau can freely talk to Cal in ways she can't talk to anyone in her life. As this series goes Bend ended in a cliffhanger and I am super excited to see the reactions to the end of this book in the next!!

Wow, What a book! It keeps you on the edge of your seat. Just enough steamy scenes and action.
I like the firehouse friends. They tease each other, but they stick together through it all. The flash back scenes let you know what happened when Cal and Beau were younger. It helps to understand what is happening now. Beau's family is complicated. She wants to make her father love her. He is very controlling. The end is quite a surprise. I didn't see it coming. It's a cliff hanger. Now I have to wait for the next book to come out. I can't wait for what comes next.

I was looking forward to read more about Beau and her secret man cause we kind knew she had one. I love this story, but I really don't like Samuel Hollingsworth, that man is horrible and treats his grown children like a property and I am very annoyed with him.
Garrett is the perfect gentleman even if he did break Beau's heart many years ago he still cares about her and even if he has his own troubles he still drops everything when she reach out for him.
I am looking forward to see where this duet ends and I can't wait to read the final part of this duet.

Wow! The Another winner for Grahame Claire! I devoured this book in one sitting! We get inside of Beau and understand her relationship with her father and what happened between her and Garrett Calhoun and cause her to dislike him. Even with her resentment the chemistry between them is hot! I understand why Garrett did what he did, and if Beau spends a little bit of time thinking through what happened in the past, what he said to her then and now, I think she will easily forgive him and understand her part in their past. Garrett has a ton going on in his life, all due to family. It seems like he is the one who helps his brothers out financially whenever he can and is hurting because of it. We found out at the end of the last book that Beau’s father wants her to marry someone he picked out and boy is Alex Davenport III a slimy rat, I guess her father is staying true to form. Can’t wait for the conclusion to the Shaken Series in Break.

Oh my what a marvellous and enthralling book
Bend is!!! Bend is book 1 of this latest duet by Grahame Claire who are becoming masters of suspense! This is Beau’s story and what a story it is! You get glimpses of her in the previous books and she seems a happy go lucky person but no there’s so much behind the scenes that had me hooked. I devoured this book that was crazy, heart stopping and at times frustrating but these 2 wonderful story tellers have left me riveted and wanting more! This series of duets are just so wonderful and enthralling! Beau and Cal are delightfully noble and at times frustratingly so but I am excited to read book 2 to see them shine more. Well done ladies on another wonderful book. I received this book as an arc for my honest opinion but it truly is a marvellous book!

I don't know why I'm surprised this is a five-star read since all of Grahame Claire's other books are so amazing. I've been intrigued with Beau since we first got to meet her and I love her chemistry with Cal. I love everything about Cal (besides that one instance in the past) and how he genuinely cares about Beau. Beau is prickly but she's truly a sweetheart and I can't wait to see where these two go in the next book!

Another phenomenal book in the Hollingsworth series!
Beau and Cal have so much history and so much chemistry.
This is the first part if this duet...and it left me excited for the conclusion.
In this book it gives us more of our favorite Hollingsworth boys (Lincoln and Teague) and more about their mother's death.
