Keepers of the Grail #1
Gates of Demons
Seven Gates of Hell. Seven deadly sins.
One impossible choice.
When a man appears in flowing robes, telling Reign he’s the Keeper of the Grail, Reign knows the inevitable has happened—he’s lost his mind. Content to cruise down his road of self-destruction, he refuses to believe the prophecies of death and devastation.
Arielle’s mom has been abducted. She soon learns her unassuming, scholarly mother dedicated her life to secretly researching the holy relic. Determined to find her before it’s too late, Arielle’s path crosses Reign’s. Their inexplicable draw to each other is a complicating factor neither of them want.
When demons close in, thirsting for the power of the Grail, Reign and Arielle are drawn into a battle of good and evil far greater than they could’ve imagined. As they race to find seven abducted women, they discover one of them is an Innocent.
An Innocent who will be the key to keeping the first Gate of Hell closed. And if they fail, not only will a deadly sin be unleashed on the world…Lucifer will be one step closer to raining his fury down on Earth.

She must have been someone pretty awesome in a previous life (past life regression indicated a Care Bear), because she gets to do both. Beginning her career as a youth worker, then a secondary school teacher, before becoming a school psychologist, Tamar helps children and teens to live and thrive despite life’s hurdles like loss, relationship difficulties, mental health issues, and trauma.
As lover of reading, inspired by books that sparked beautiful movies in her head, Tamar loves to write young adult romance. To be honest, it was probably inevitable that her knowledge and love of literature would translate into writing emotion driven stories of finding life and love beyond our comfort zones. A lifetime consumer of knowledge, Tamar holds degrees in Applied Science, Education and Psychology. When not reading, writing or working with teens, Tamar can be found with her husband and two children enjoying country life on their small slice of the Australian bush.

I absolutely loved reading this book. The characters and storyline were absolutely phenomenal in this story. I enjoyed reading it.

I received a free ARC of this book and am leaving a voluntary and honest review.
Gates of Demons grew on me. When I first started it, I wasn't completely sold on the writing and story, but it slowly became less cheesy/typical/slightly cringe-worthy to be a little more solid and enjoyable.
To be honest, I'm not quite sure why I didn't like it. The characters were interesting - though very naïve and ridiculous, maybe that's why - and the pacing was good enough. I didn't like Arielle until halfway through, as she was one of those 'my shoes!' type of characters, and I'm not a fan. Reign ticked me off because he would never say anything about seeing things, and I'm surprised Mac didn't bring it up because it certainly sounded important and on-topic for what they were looking into. It was easy to tell Reign and Arielle were the main characters, as all the rest phased out whenever they weren't needed, but Mac's sudden character twist took me by surprise, and not in a good way. Personally, I don't think it was done well.
I won't say I liked reading Gates of Demons, but it was well-done for a Teen-like book. (You know, with the werewolves and the vampires on the cover. That's what this one was like.) The style wasn't my cup of tea, but that's not to say others won't enjoy it. I'll rate it 2-stars only because I personally didn't enjoy it as much, but it could go for a strong 3 for readers who liked the style more.

Reign has spent his life in different foster homes and he's not always law-abiding. When a man suddenly materializes before him, claiming that Reign is a Keeper of the Grail, Reign is certain that he's finally lost it. He's no hero. The road he's on can only lead to death or jail.
Arielle's mother has been abducted. She soon realizes that her mother kept secrets. She's studied the occult and even searched for the Grail, something she never told her daughter. Arielle is determined to find her mother before it's too late.
The two main characters, Reign and Arielle, are each others opposites. A street kid versus someone who's well-off. Not surprisingly, they don't see eye to eye to begin with. But as they get to know each other, the layers fall off.
I found the book a little slow in the beginning. I also had a hard time seeing how Reign and Arielle could have something in common. But as things started to unravel it became clearer - and also more intriguing. I actually got a bit of Dan Brown vibes for a while, with the angels and demons and a secret society, of sorts (the Keepers of the Grail). Revelation after revelation made the book hard to put down!

This edgy, epic new adult romance takes you on one hell of a ride, so much so that you will not want to get off! A great start to this series you get immediately drawn into this world, into the incredible fast paced and exciting storyline. Our main characters Reign and Arielle get drawn into a battle between good and evil, find out there’s angels and demons and people including Ari’s mum are being kidnapped! It’s gripping, there’s surprises, there’s great character chemistry and all in all I am excited to read the next book!

This book was good, a little slow in the beginning for me but it picked up rather quickly. With a rather fortuitous meeting between Reign and Arielle the story continues and eventually pairs the two together in order to stop the Hell Gates from opening up. There is great world building, character building and fun elements added into this story to make it a great read!

Lieutenants of the Lord.
I really liked this book. It started slowly however, it picked up its pace when Reign ran over Arielle’s favorite boots that her mother bought for her. Reign has seen hard times and tries to better his luck. Arielle’s mother as well as others people are missing. Reign and Arielle are told they have to save the world from demons who have escaped the gates of Hell. I like the world-building and character development as they got to know each other. I grew to love these characters and wanted to join them in their journey. I also loved how they tried not to be attracted to each other. Lol. One thing I didn't like is it ended with a cliffhanger. I wasn't aware of it until I reached the end. Lol. However, I will read the second book when it is released.
This is the first book I've read by this author and will not be my last. She is my new favorite writer for Paranormal/ Romance.

Rcvd an advanced reader copy from Hidden Gems for giving my two cents. We meet Ari, a college student who was nearly ran over then on top of it, her mom had been kidnapped. We meet foster kid Reign who for some stupid reason to be a driver for a heist by two other teens, in which he nearly ran over a beautiful girl. Reign is hallucinating and they are terrifying him and making him crazy. Ari doesn't know what to do..her had disappeared as a baby and now her mother. Her Aunt Shell sends her to clean the attic because that will help...not. But it holds memories of her mom. She finds a game they played and boom a secret compartment opens to unveil a journal. Reign is seriously losing his mind...he now sees a man named Joseph who says he is the last Gate Keeper of thr Holy Grail...whatever. Ari is leaning some truths that were held from her on purpose and she doesn't trust anyone...she is determined to find her mom with or without anyone's help. Drama, intrigue, secrets and supernatural make the a good book.

I AM IN LOVE 😍 so much that I dreamed about this book last night. How can a book make you dream about being surrounded by evil and NOT WANTING TO WAKE to the bitter reality that is your little small town life? I guess that’s why they call it fantasy.
Gates of Demons is extremely well written from the first intense action packed chapter, and it doesn’t let up. It’s a rollercoaster ride into hell with no apologies! Author Tamar Sloan does a terrific job of blending real people with real issues into the destructive world of demons and the end of the world enabling me to view the two MC, Reign and Arielle as sort of anti-heros instead of making them infallible.
I read this book straight through with only refrigerator and potty breaks which is unusual for me if it’s not an audio. If you are a fan of the show Supernatural or the movie The Devil’s Advocate, this story has whispers of those worlds and you’ll definitely fall in love like I did.

"All your wickedness will return upon you." Reign, a young man in foster care, thinks this is a pretty good descriptor for his life after he helps his friends by driving a getaway car after a robbery. But, the way he learns this is not at all what he expected!
Arielle is just a normal college student until her mother is abducted and her world comes crashing around her. Soon, she finds herself involved in a search for her mother along with an ancient artifact. And, don't forget that she find out that angels and demons are real and some of them want to open the gates of Hell.
This book started slow, but once the introductions of the characters was complete, the pace picked up quickly and really drew me in. The story was unique, well-written and entertaining. The characters were well-developed and engaging and I need to know what happens next The book does end on a cliffhanger, so beware if you are looking for a standalone!

Neither our hero or heroine were looking for trouble. But sometimes it finds you when you aren't looking. Now they are involved in a question to save the world from demons. That is quite a change of pace for them. Are the going to be up for the challenge?
This is book one of the series, so a fine place to start.
This is an urban fantasy story featuring demons from Hell. The story is well written and easy to read with a fast paced plot that grabs you early on and won't let go. I really liked the characters as they were well developed and had real personalities that brought the story to life. The story was very engaging and the plot had lots of twists and turns to it that kept me flipping (virtual) pages. Overall, it was a great start to a series and I look forward to seeing where it goes next.
Highly recommended.

Amazing story!
The Graal, demons, angels, the seven sins and the seven gates of Hell - all you will find here.
And much more - the humans that fight for the loved ones, for friends, for the mankind.
Action, mysteries, hope, despair, love, ancient prophecies, and ancient being, paranormals.
An mixt that will keep you to the brink of your chair. You will not sleep untill you finish it!
Too bad that is only the first book in the series…. And I can’t wait for the rest of them!
Also, I recomand the prequel - Secrets of the Grail, where the story of this characters really started.

incredible… Must-read
I was pleasantly surprised… While paranormal is a genre that I usually do read I normally read paranormal romance… However this book called out to me and I am so glad that I read it it’s probably one of the best books I’ve ever read in a long time…and I read every day … I can’t wait to read the rest… I absolutely love all of the characters… Reign ,Ari, and Mac especially… The characters all have great depth and very intriguing surprises that are revealed throughout the book… The only disappointment is that I have to wait to read the next book to be released!

I wasn’t into the writing style or the characters in the beginning, but things got better when weird visions/dreams start happening. I ended up enjoying the story! The mystery aspect with the missing people and demons is interesting, and the secrets going on in the character’s lives are fun. There’s dual POV between Arielle and Reign. Arielle was a brat at times, but I do appreciate her sass. Reign is a foster kid that pretty much as to fend for himself; he has his vices, but he’s a nice guy. Liked that Reign and Arielle got off to a bit of a rough start; fun banter between them. Love demons too and when Hell is involved! So that was all fun! I’m looking forward to the next book!

I picked this up having read Solan before and always loved her way of twisting the paranormal into the story. Arielle and Reign were engaging characters from the first page, and I ended up flying through the story and finishing it in one sitting. The twists and turns of the story kept me guessing, kept me hooked on trying to work out what was going to happen next and how it would all sort out in the end. There were reveals I didn’t see coming and the whole story set up for an amazing series, one that I will be watching and following. Overall, very much recommended to all who love a good paranormal story!

Demons, angels, and biblical things, oh my! A great start to this series from Tamar Sloan.
Women are going missing, one being Arielle's mom. A normal college student, not knowing what is hiding in her world, well she is about to find out about it and so much more. Reign is about to age out of the foster care system. He's sure he's having hallucinations, or is he?
Come read Gates of Demons and find out what is happening and who survives.

Fascinating story, likable characters, and lots of surprises make this book a very enjoyable read. Seven women are snatched off the street. One is the mother of Arielle. Gates of Demons is the first book in the incredible Keepers of the Grail series. It is an action packed, fast paced read with a diverse range of characters who are somehow linked but do not yet know it.
This is a new spin on good v evil, expertly written and totally absorbing. I could not put it down. Definitely worth five stars and absolutely essential reading if you like a good, original, well written paranormal mystery romance.

A fantastic read for the beginning of a series~ Come along on a unique chocked full of action-adventure that will lead Arielle and Reign on a journey to keep the Gates of Hell from opening! They will meet all kinds of characters along the way, enmesh themselves is some tricky situations, try to save her mom, and to find the Holy Grail! Will they succeed? Cannot wait for the next book~

Great New Series
Big fan of Tamar Sloan and this book does not disappoint. Great new characters, excellent world building and catchy plot. Not sure who my favorite character is yet though but I am leaning towards Gabby. She's brave and smart and crazy. Arielle is pretty fantastic too

Reign and Mac, both living in Avril's foster home, find solace in a rough part of town where they hide from Avril's talk of removing their demons. Arielle lives with her mom, Sierra, until she is kidnapped when her Aunt Shell and cousin Gabrielle come to stay with her. This story has angels and demons, betrayals, kidnappings, and beatings, ending with a cliffhanger. Very highly recommended.
