I have loved Logan since he was introduced into this series and I just fell more in love with him. The typical playboy finds his one and only. However can he get over the way he was burned in the past and really trust Piper and her motives? Is this what real love feels like?
Piper is taking a two month nursing job while another nurse is on maternity leave and finds herself in the group of friends that are all real close. She still feels like an outsider but soon is one of the group and begins to fall hard for Logan. She has never felt this way before about any of her past boyfriends, and she also doesn't know if he is with her for her, or for the possible inheritance she is to come into.
Piper had to break it off with her ex-boyfriend since he was set up with her from her Grandmother and she holds the purse strings to the inheritance. However, Piper really doesn't want the money and she wants to marry for love, just like her mother did. She doesn't want regrets. So she breaks it off and hopes that she made the right choice. This said ex-boyfriend also has his hand in a plan to buy off Logan and do Grandma's bidding for her. Will Piper and Logan catch on before it is too late to repair any damage?
Logan is a bartender who is the known playboy of the group. He can melt off panties with just a smile. He is a real charmer that one. Then he meets his match, Piper. However, he was badly burned in a past "relationship" and has some major trust issues. After he finds out about Piper and the inheritance, he thinks he is being played yet again. How can the one that he feels is the one for him, hurt him and play him like that?
I loved Logan and Piper's story. It was so sweet, emotional, and showed great character growth and how love will win and that money is not the be all. I am just in love with this group of friends that keeps growing and more and more of them are falling for each other or finding their soul mate. I can't wait to read Raven's story! She sure is a mystery and I can't wait to read all about her!

Destiny Dunes is a fun series about a "kids resort camp" for kids in need of physical and/or occupational therapy and their families. What a clever idea. The people who work at the cam live in housing that is provided for them. Logan has seen people meet their match in each of the first three books in the series.
When I first met Logan, I was indifferent toward him. He first appears in "Down For Her", the first book in the Destiny Dunes series. He just seemed like a beach bum, happy-go-lucky bartender who was out for a good time. Later, in book 3, "Coming Around", he started to grow on me. He and his cousin, Cohen, were raised more like brothers. In "Coming Around" both of the cousins are interested in the same girl. Logan's actions definitely made me want him to have his own happily ever after and I found I couldn't wait until "In His Heart", book 4 in the Destiny Dunes series came out beacuse it was finally Logan's story.
Melissa Chambers wrote Logan's character perfectly. His "not a care in the world" attitude that began in book 1 was there for a reason. As the books progressed, Logan's personality grew on me. He was a beach bum with a player motive for a reason - one that we slowly learn about in "In His Heart". By the end of the story, I found myself rooting for Logan! Chambers had crafted his story so well that I knew it would take someone special, someone like Piper to help Logan find love.
This is a wonderful addition to the Destiny Dunes series. There are many light hearted moments as well as the angst that helps create a great romance story. Each of the books in the series can be read as a stand alone. Chambers does a great job of giving enough background information that you do not feel lost, but I would definitely recommend reading all of the Desinty Dunes books.

The resort's player is off the market
I love how each story in this series becomes more intricate, layered and nuanced. These characters are realistic, sympathetic and relatable.
The resort for special needs children is less a focal point in this story as the characters are not working with those children/families. Logan tends bar at one of the businesses in the retail area known as The Circle. Piper is a contracted nurse practitioner, but she works at the clinic for the employees and tourists, not with the children.
A lot of this plot focuses on building trust in a relationship and dealing with the aftermath of old encounters where trust had been betrayed. These characters worked through those issues in an adult manner and were diligent to meet their professional obligations despite the emotional fallout.
Generally, this was another excellent story from the Florida panhandle beaches by Ms.Chambers; perfect to read on your vacation. And especially on your 'stay-cation'.

This is the four in the series, and it is about Logan and Piper. Piper moved in beside Logan, and has decided to she needs a break from her finance and controlling grandmother. Piper has always lived by a strict code because of her Grandmother. Her Grandmother is extremely wealthy and cut off Piper's mother when she married someone Grandma didn't approve of. Grandma hand picked Piper's current finance however Piper knows deep in her heart he is not for her. Meanwhile Logan is nursing a broken heart after his cousin leaves with Bailey who Logan thought could have been the love of his life. Burned in love before Logan has difficulty trusting. When he meets Piper sparks fly but both are a bit gun shy. When Piper leaves her finance, he approaches Logan with a deal. Logan has to decide how to handle the deal and Piper. The book keeps you on your toes the whole story, and can be read as a stand alone however I like to read books from a series in the order they are written. Either way you will not be disappointed.

I was so glad to get to read Logan’s story. He met Piper, who has a temporary nursing job while the permanent nurse is off on maternity leave. She is staying with Simone across the street from Logan and Isaac. Piper is due to inherit an astronomical amount of money from a trust fund but only if she marries the man her grandmother approves of. She wants Piper to marry Thomas but Piper knows he is only in it for the money. She enjoys the time with Logan and his group of friends and has told no one that she is rich. As she breaks up with Thomas, he tries to bribe Logan to get Piper to fall for him, including taking her to bed, then break up with her, making her heartbroken and taking him back. Logan will not agree with this plan but his friend Chapman, who is there when this all transpires, takes over the negotiation and keeps increasing the amount of money. Logan can’t figure out what Thomas’s plan is but with his trust issues, when he finds out the truth, will he be forgiving.

Logan appears to be just a bartender to most people but he has bigger plans - to own his own bar. Piper is a crossroads in her life as her current boyfriend has proposed to her but she isn't sure she loves him enough to marry him. So she takes a temporary nurse practitioner position at Destiny Dunes. But then she gets to know other workers at the resort, including Logan, and things change for her.
This is my favorite couple so far in this series. To a certain extent, Logan is battling others' perception of him as a "playboy" even though he is ready to start a relationship. Piper doesn't want to lose her relationship with her grandmother and due to her lack of any real friends, she is having a hard time dealing with issues. I loved how this story developed and both characters were able to work through their issues.

We are back at Destiny Dunes and all the people that make it a great place to be. In this book we get Logan's story and it's quite the story watching the heart throb of Destiny Dunes fall. Piper has come to fill in for the nursing staff and Logan can't get her out of his mind. Wonderful characters learning to trust one another while building a relationship. This is a quick read about trusting and loving even when you don't think you can. Can't wait for Raven's story and to go back to Destiny Dunes.

This new book in the Destiny Dunes series was a lot of fun to read. It had great, fun, sexy characters and a fun storyline as well. I really liked Logan, who is a sweet guy who dreams of owning his own bar. I liked that he had given up on serious relationships and in walked Piper. I enjoyed reading about their story and Piper's ex, Thomas. It certainly was an interesting story with a few twists and turns that kept it fun and interesting. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

So excited to visit Destiny Dunes again and become invested in Logan and Piper's love story. Melissa Chambers does a great job of incorporating the characters from previous books in the current story. It makes me feel like I'm binge watching the Friends tv show. I'm looking forward to the next "episode" starring Raven and Easton. Thanks to the author for the opportunity to read and review In His Heart.

Yet another good one! I’ve really enjoyed this series and getting to know the people of Destiny Dunes. It was fun seeing ladies man Logan get his girl. I enjoyed not having major conflict between the two main characters and watching their relationship build throughout the book.

Piper meets Logan at just the right time. She is at a crossroads in her life. She knows what she needs to do but is having trouble reconciling it with her conscience. Logan has trust issues he is learning to overcome. Loved these two and was really happy to see lots of appearances from the rest of the group.
