Although pretty out of date (pre-Internet 1985), most of the advice is timeless, such as gathering home resources first, talk to relatives, etc. and a good outline of what kinds of records were kept when.

Witty and still a bit out of date but some good examples and a logical entry guide to Scottish family history. The local museums are listed but I am not sure how many of them are still open post COVID.

Even though this book was written before pre-digital records, I still picked up some useful tips that hopefully will help me track down more of my Scottish ancestors.
