Though the idea of this was immensely appealing, I thought it was a bit of a missed opportunity. I was hoping to learn a little about how Marsden ticks; I was hoping he might deconstruct his characters and narratives to give us, the reader, some extra insight. He touches on some of this, but only in a bare-bones, superficial kind of way.

I have read the vast majority of John Marsden’s work and I loved most of it.
In this book every chapter is dedicated to one of his books and the tomorrow when the war began series. Therefore I would not recommend reading this if you havent read quite a few of this novels because there are major spoilers - especially for the Tomorrow Series.
I liked getting a little inside in the beginning of his career and his main characters
but would have liked for it to be more detailed with a bit more depth but
