Concise and easy to follow. My favorite part is the casual mention of how she once trained a bear to ring a cowbell when she said “more cowbell!” 😂

Helpful guide for those of us who like working with our cats. I agree with the author that doing this really lights up your connection with your cat. Mine already could do a lot (lie down, sit, shake, jump over my legs, high five, sit pretty, fist bump, jump up and down from furniture in command and recall) but this book has even more useful info. I question whether it will work with a cat that is NOT food motivated.

This is a very effective guide to training your cat basic and advanced skills. It really does work, too! My two kitties thankfully are so attentive that it was not a challenge to have their attention during sessions. The chapters with tutorials include: practical skills (ie sit, stay, come, clip nails and brush), solving behavioral problems (scratching, biting, counter surfing), fun games, and cool tricks. Recommended for cats of all ages!

This is a great handbook for anyone interested in clicker training their cat(s)! I just read it and started with my two kitties! <3 They’re learning the basics right now but this book also provides training exercises for more advanced skills like jumping through hula hoops. I will definitely continue to reference this book for years to come.

Absolutely love love loveee this book and for making my cat the coolest on the block- she’s only allowed outside while supervised (if we’re having a picnic or doing yard work) and she COMES INSIDE WHEN CALLED thanks to the foundation we built using this book. She knows sit, lay and “station” which is her going to stand on a felt rectangle. Impeccable. Fun. Just get it!

The manual contains in-depth clicker training steps, but the material might seem a bit repetitive (which should be your first test anyway). If you find this book too repetitive, give up on cat training immediately. Anyway, the author explains cats' "psychology" in a short introductory chapter and then moves on to the practical tricks with a clicker. I can't rate the success of the exercises and tips, so I decided to focus on the text itself and its applicability (everything is quite easy to follow or implement; it will only take lots of patience).

Can't wait to try some new tricks

Had already started some of this training with my cat. Can't wait to give him some new things to learn. Easy, step by step training protocols and trouble shooting.
