Not my Cup of Tea
This was hot the light and entertaining little morsel I was hoping for.
The heroine was too naive and innocent - to the extent that my eyes were twitching to role.

This time, I want all of her. Not just a taste. A feast. Every last bit of my sweet, innocent Alana.
Kick-ass dialogues but the synopsis was an utter bore.
Characters seemed two dimensional, not to mention that Alana was ignoramus. Even though she was supposed to be a main character, the storyline somehow made her appear like a side character I don't even wanna bother about.
And the ML rants a lot. A lot.
Didn't enjoy reading this from his point of view.
On an added note, isn't Pumpkin supposedly an orange kitten? What's with the cover then?

Necesito a Alana. La he observado de cerca durante los últimos años. Una mujer con ojos que atrapan el sol y un corazón que un santo envidiaría. Tengo que acercarme a ella.
Así que lo hago. Tan cerca, de hecho, que cree que soy su salvador, su amigo. No lo soy, por supuesto. Todo el tiempo que paso observándola, hablando con ella, pendiente de cada palabra, eso es todo para disimular.
Solo para disimular, me recuerdo. Entonces, ¿por qué me encuentro más enredado en ella que nunca? Tanto es así que empiezo a pensar que el verdadero tesoro ha estado justo frente a mí todo el tiempo...
Mí humilde opinión:
La historia en sí estuvo bien, estaba el misterio para abrir la bóveda de una fortuna, engaños, acción y por supuesto un insta-love estilo MINK.
Disfruté esta lectura corta pero
me molestó Alana, le di una oportunidad al comienzo pero era tan despistada y confiada que no parecía real en una mujer adulta de este tiempo.
Después Alek me hizo reír a lo largo de la historia cuando se quería convencer a sí mismo que solo quería el dinero de Alana cuando en realidad la quería a ella. Su personaje era este nerd chico malo que me gustaba pero me hubiera gustado también que fuera honesto con ella antes de que llegara Javier y se destapara la olla.
El epilogo era lindo, me gustó el mensaje de que el verdadero tesoro es la familia.

Alana is a pure Innocent and very trusting woman she has the heart of gold ( the fortune belongs to her father)
This was so brilliant I loved and enjoyed it alot they were Perfect for each other , the ending was great and the epilogue was so sweet with their daughter and Pregnant heroine ❤ loved it

Aleksander is trying to steal money from an online banking vault, but the cyber security is just too good. He would know because he made it impenetrable that way. The vault happens to belong to Alana’s dad, and Aleks is convinced Alana has the secret to the vault locked in her head. Or at least that’s what he tells himself to explain his personal obsession with her.
This was fun to read especially when Aleks was trying to weasel his way into Alana’s life. I didn’t feel like the added stuff about Aleks being rich or fighting off the mafia boss went with the rest of the story though. Lower amount of steaminess also.
I don’t think I would keep this on my shelf but I did like it. So maybe reread.

What do a con man and a clueless heiress have in common? Money? No, it's the sweetest, hottest love.
This novella has a very catchy theme. The obsessed con man with his amazing computer skills needs the final key to crack an impregnable code and have access to a fortune. His obsession changes course when he stalks the lovely woman at the core of the mystery.
It's really funny and exciting as he falls harder every minute for her against his will. She's innocent, nice, trusting, and he takes advantage of her even as he falls into the trap himself. What ensues is lust, love, loads of kisses and villain action, and the cutest kitten ever. I swear the cats get better and better with every story by this author.
I smiled a lot at Alana's innocence and Aleks' ruthless commitment to her protection. The set up and resolution of the computer puzzle if a cool idea. The epilogue is over-the-top fun, too. Great entertainment!

I thought this story was over the top cute! Everyone needs a little ‘pumpkin’ in there life! So happy he redeemed himself in this one. Things worked out pretty great for these two with their well written happily ever after. :)

Mink proves yet again why I fall head first in love with her stories, and this one is no different.
Over the top shenanigans galore, leading ladies that are so sweet and relatable you want to be best friends forever.
Alpha males who are definitely larger than life, the scream alert alpha approaching. They hard and fiercely.

Mink is AMAZING❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️
It doesn’t matter if I’m already in the middle of a bunch of books, as soon as a new Mink book drops, I drop everything else to gobble it up.
This one was a SCORCHER!!!! The way Aleks was oblivious to the depth of his feelings for her had me happy sighing and laughing at the same time. He was adorably clueless as he kept trying to convince himself that he wasn’t reaaaaaaaaallllllllyyyy interested in Alana, his obsession with her and everything she was doing was all about the money! Because knowing her work schedule and what she was wearing and if anyone was bothering her—all details relevant to breaking the code. He could only keep lying to himself up to a point, but when she was in danger, all his carefully constructed excuses collapsed like wet paper!
And Alana was the sweetest, most honest and genuine sweetheart! She’s the kind of pure soul you just want to give a hug to!
This has to be one of my favorite books by Mink so far. It’s written in her usual razor sharp way, her characters are a delicious contrast of salty and sweet, the villain and the innocent!
Hero’s past isn’t mentioned at all. Heroine is a virgin and gives the hero the gift of claiming all her firsts! There is OM drama, but it’s one sided and heroine never had any interest in him. No cheating of any kind. It’s a mink book so there’s violence, kidnapping and bloodshed. HEA with epilogue years out.

Plot: Aleks is a computer hacker/programmer who is looking for a big payday and expects to find it in Alana's father's fortune. Her father has passed away, but Aleks believes he can break into the electronic safe since he was the one who initially set it up. He can't get past the final lock though and thinks that something about Alana might be able to help him. Sure, that's why he's watching her. Alana, who was wealthy while growing up, is not an heiress now (remember, nobody can get into the money) and works at a bowling alley. Aleks knows all of this because he has been obsessively stalking her...because of the money. He engineers a way to get close to her, but what will happen when his enemies come after her and he has to tell her who he really is?
Character development: Like most of Mink's female characters, Alana is completely oblivious and naive. That's just the way it is. It certainly isn't realistic, but that's not why I read these! She's sweet and honestly, just a really good person, and the world needs more of that. I'm a little less sold on Aleks - I didn't get a real "alpha" vibe off of him, and am not sure how the killing and hacking and criminality and theft all fit together. However, he did come around to admitting that he wanted Alana more than he wanted the money, so that worked out.

Aleks made the vault but she had the last key to the vault which was a word family. Aleks basically shows up as a tech person and fixes her computer that he hacked into and he's already falling but he denies himself that goodness. After her co-worker attempts to get with her, Aleks has had enough and finally moves her into his home and finally claims her. When others come to get their share of the money like Javier, it all blows up in Aleks's face because they kidnapped her and took her to the vault all the while Aleks got shot in the stomach. Alana finds out the truth but her love for him blinds her judgment and takes away any sense of compromise she has. Anyways Aleks comes to her rescue and kills Javier and finally claims and apologizes to her. He's literally shot and he has the energy of a tiger and he finally falls asleep and screams for her. Anyways they have a daughter Liana and another on the way. I dont even know what I just wrote.

Alana is an heir to billions that’s locked in a vault that she knows nothing about, Alek is the creator of the vault’s security. He’s been basically stalking Alana for a few years to “get close for the vault” but really he’s just denying his obsession with her.
Alana is such a sweet naïve character, I enjoyed her.

Alek is smart and mysterious. Alana is too trusting. This story has lots of steam and action. Quite a few laugh out loud moments from Alana. Heartwarming and sweet journey to their unexpected HEA.

Aleks has one mission and one mission only… to open this vault worth billions… or so he thinks!! That mission is blown to pieces when he finds the missing puzzle piece to the code is Alana. He tells himself he’s only getting close to her to get the code, but we all know that’s a lie.. Aleks finds out quickly, the real missing piece to everything he ever needed is Family.

If I found out a man used me for something I had no idea about, I’d be pretty wary from then on; I don’t think I’d be professing my love for him as soon as I see him. But if you want something sweet, I guess this is it. No info on the epilogue because I didn’t read it.

Omg, I love this story so much! It's sooo cute! While the heroine Alana is a typical Mink romance ditzy heroine, she also has surprising amounts of clarity when it comes to things that trip up other TSTL heroines in romance.
“How long have you been feeling this way?” I scoot back as far as I can in the chair. How am I going to get out of this without ruining our friendship? It might already be ruined. “From the beginning.” He got a blowjob from another girl when he wanted to be with me? Not that I care, but that doesn't sound right to me.
YASSSS GIRLLL, THANK YOU 👏👏💅 Saying the things heroines with self respect should when going with manhoes. I cackled so hard at that. I love the serious shade that gets thrown at the stereotypical "hero" in romances that sleep with OW while supposedly loving the heroine. As a side note, the above quote is not associated with the actual hero in this one. It's in relation to the wannabe OM who acts exactly like the manwhore "heroes" from other romance novels.
Just for that scene where she basically pokes holes in all of that guy's "confession," this book deserves 5 stars. Not even talking about the adorableness of the actual romance between her and the hero.

I really enjoyed the character evolution of the Hero. He went from completely mercenary to 100% devoted to the Heroine. I especially love when the badass (and cold/reserved) Heroes are paired up with genuinely kind and compassionate Heroines. Their personalities make for a sweet romance. The best part of the book, however, was the unexpected plot twists as the Hero seeks to obtain the money stashed away by the Heroine’s father.

I really liked this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable with an exception. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. I'm not sure what to think of Gilly. Part of me thinks that he was a great friend but then another part of me thinks that there was more to it for him. It would be good for him to meet his own love. Aleks was protective, possessive, and totally in denial over how he felt about Alana. Alana was sweet, kind, and caring. She was also very trusting and open. Aleks was able to use her trusting nature to get closer to her. Unfortunately for him, he wasn't prepared for how getting closer to Alana would make him feel. I thought they were quite cute. Pumpkin was a great addition to their family. I loved their happy ever after. I recommend reading this book.

Outstanding! Breathtaking! Brilliant! I truly can't get over just how incredible each of Mink's books truly are!! They each touch my heart and soul deeply. It doesn't matter what the stunning plot is about or who the fabulous characters hidden within the pages are. All that matters is that it is from one georgeous and priceless heart to another. That fact alone is what makes her stories invaluable and a true treasure!
This book is yet another perfect story about imperfect characters who I adore and fell hard and fast for! They made me smile and feel every step of the way, and I adore them for all of their broken imperfections. They are real and true, and that makes then shine like gold in my world. Wow wow wow wow wow!
Claiming His Kitten had me hooked from the first page! I fell in love with Alana & Aleks’ characters and how raw their relationship was even with the struggles they were both going through during the course of the book. Only MINK would have me crying over Alana’s reaction to the Pumpkin situation KNOWING that Aleks got him for her!
My heart was so full at the comfort both of them found in one another, and the message at the end of the book was so beautiful and full-filling when we realized was the solution to the puzzle was. MINK continues to amaze me with their stories and I can’t wait for more awesome stories to come!

Mink is known for her bad guys who fall for the quirky good girl and this one is exactly what I hoped for. Aleks has watched over Alana in order to steal her late father's money. At least, that is what he tells himself. There is more to it, there always is. Alana is content with her life, she is working towards a goal. She isn't afraid of hard work and if she is a little lonely, she still has hope that it will change someday. It is quickly obvious that Aleks wants Alana and it slowly starts to dawn on him too. Alana trusts Aleks almost from the start so it hurts when she finds out his real motivation. But it all works out in the end. Such an adorable, fun read, totally loved it!

I thought that this was an awesome book. I loved Aleks and Alana together. I love the connection and the chemistry between these two. Aleks only wants to get close to Alana to get the code that will give him billions. Alana just wants to be loved and is struggling after losing her father. There are a lot of sweet, hilarious, and steamy moments in this book. I really loved the message that this book gave us. I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait to see what Ms. Mink has in store for us next. I would highly recommend this book and Ms. Mink as a must read author.
