The world rotated in one direction, and for most, it began with the first breath of life and ended with the last. For others, it ended with the damning words spoken from a lover.
Edward Baines-Tennant knew those crushing sentiments all too well. With a broken heart, he ran from his new life in the states and returned to the only place offering him sanctuary—home,
His mother, the formidable Lady Audra, watched his continued heartbreak from the sidelines, hopeful her beloved son would finally reveal his inner torment.
After months of shutting the world out, Milo Garcia's crossroads greeted him face to face. Deep troubled waters separated him from the man who held his heart but also hated him.
Milo stood before the biggest decision of his life; the time to bear his truths and be judged by the man who held the key to his future and the only one to revive his soul.
Maggie Jane Schuler is a wife, mother of three children who have flown the nest, and teacher by day. While she has always loved to read, the thought of writing her own prose did not strike until she was in the middle of writing her Master’s Thesis. From that point on she was hooked.
She resides in Southern California. Besides the family and books, she loves baseball. Since the Dodgers, Angels, and Padres are all within a short distance, and the Giants and Athletics a nice weekend jaunt away, she’s got plenty of games to take in during the season. Additionally, she enjoys cooking, movies, the beach, and the local mountains. She’s most content being with her family engaged in whatever activity they have planned.
This book is so well written from multiple points of view. The love of self is a journey for Miles, acceptance and understanding of his own defenses. Edward's loss, love and equality bring understanding. The families coming together to become one team. Arcing oceans and social divisions true love is priceless. I cannot say how much I enjoyed this book, and it was so hard to wait for the resolution from the last cliff hanger. The book is highly, highly recommended!
Totally worth the wait. Mitchelle Summers and Maggie Jane Schuler have knocked it out of the park with Revived Souls. The chemistry between Edward and Milo is still strong, but after the way they ended things in Shattered Beliefs, forgiveness isn't easy or guaranteed.
The setting shifts from the US to the UK and we learn more about Edward and his family. Edward's mother, Lady Audra, is exactly what these two men need to guide them into their future. Fantastic writing, characters you want to be friends with, and an original storyline are why this is a 5 star read for me.
All the emotions that I long to feel when reading a book, were all felt deeply here in this conclusion to The Shattered Beliefs Series. Love and despair, hope and acceptance, characters that you totally fall in love with, making you feel everything as Milo and Edward try and find their way. There were moments when I absolutely cracked up as well, as Lady Audra shows us what she's made of in her very articulate way. The strong sense of Family, love and the bonds that they shared, was heart warming. A beautifully written conclusion to this series, making Milo and Edward one of my favourite couples.
What an excellent continuation of Milo and Edward's love story. It picks up where Shattered Beliefs let's off with Edward back in his home country, England. This is a beautifully written, can't turn the page fast enough love story. But it is not without drama and issues. I loved this book and series. I hope to read more from these authors in the future.
