Sinceramente?

I wanted to like this book more than I actually did. On one hand, it was a fun little read but on the other…. Moon Girl kinda came across as a brat to me. And I get that she’s got a chip on her shoulder being the smartest person in the world—and maybe the goal is to see her grow and mature into that role—but in this collection, her attitude was never shown as wrong or necessarily even misguided… just… oh, she’s smart so she’s got this even if she’s being cocky. (They tried to do the misguided thing a couple of times, but each time it just fell flat—to me at least.) I wasn’t a fan, especially since I was so excited to see a young girl hero who was all about the smarts—what a great role model for young girls! But the way she was actually written… just kinda felt annoying. So yeah, like I said: I was bummed. I’m hoping she’s a cooler character than this collection made her seem.

For a book about the smartest person in the world there are a lot of inaccurate statements made by her in this book (ex: cold blooded animals don't feel the cold). Also, Moon Girl is very egotistical. Not only is she full of herself but she is very condescending to others. Not a likeable character at all.

Moon Girl is annoying AF. Not necessarily a bad book, but I really dislike the main character's attitude of superiority, and all her "I'm the smartest in the world" crap. Don't really see the point for the dinosaur either. Art is cute though, and seems like younger audiences would like it a lot. Me? I won't be reading any more of this anytime soon.

I love the idea of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur but the execution here was pretty awful. Most of the art is not very good and the stories are boring. For instance, Loki's "riddle" isn't a riddle at all and everything seems to be solved by brute force, rendering Lunella's intellect moot. Worse, either Moon Girl has a one note personality or she just doesn't get to show her personality in these particular comics. The only good thing I can say is this is a very slim volume so I didn't waste much of my life reading it.

After reading and watching Ant-Man and The Wasp and Ant-Man and Wasp: Quantumania, I got Marvel high and wanted to read more of the Marvel-verse. Ok, so Marvel-Verse is about collected stories about each hero, heroes and even villains. I used to read Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur back in my college days, that's why this one's my favorite so far
