TOUCH YOUR NOSE! is a high contrast book that is made for babies. The book begins by asking if babies can wiggle their toes, kick their feet, and more. Each page features an action-related question with a baby performing the action. The backgrounds feature black and white or red and white patterns, such as the one shown on the cover.
What I loved: This is a good introduction to action items and body parts, asking babies to do things that are certainly in their wheelhouse, allowing parents to demonstrate and begin to make those connections. The images of babies will appeal to young readers who will love looking at the other babies shown. The high contrast backgrounds will grab young attentions and give them things to visually explore.
The cool feature of the indestructible series is that they are made to be chewed by babies. They are lightweight, so easy to handle, and made of a material that they can literally chew, pull, and try to destroy. It is a cross between a toy and book to help inspire that early love of reading.
What left me wanting more: While babies will love the high contrast backgrounds, it can be hard to read in places, as it is a bit much for adult eyes. It's short, of course, though, so definitely worth reading anyway.
Final verdict: With high contrast backgrounds and action questions, TOUCH YOUR NOSE! is a book babies can really enjoy.
