Sara Doell shares a step-by-step guide for self-improvement from self-awareness to forging your own path. In a hanging out after a game style, Doell shares her personal struggles, what she learned from them, and easy to follow action steps for those who need the extra help. I particularly like the later chapters where she emphasizes that we all have our own path, and that we should not judge anyone’s journey or compare them with our own.
Finished the book saying WOW!! So many thoughts and learning opportunities. The book was real, raw, and filled with vulnerable stories. But in the same vein, uplifting and full of life lessons! Throughout reading, I laughed, I teared, I reflected and at the end of every chapter, I got a chance to truly debrief and put the lessons to action. Highly recommend for anyone who is looking to continue learning more about oneself, wants to improve, or wants some guidance/perspective. So worth the read!
I recommend this book to anyone that feels...well...anything. It's like Sara is holding your hand and cheering you on all in one fell swoop. I have to admit...I did finally go to the doctor!! Thank you for being so brazenly vulnerable and honest. My future self owes you.
I found so many words of wisdom in this book and pure emotion. I know this author and can attest to her strength and character; she was my third daughter growing up. I am proud of her, her life and her words of wisdom. Worth the read!
