Evan continues his quest for power in an effort to defeat the Demon King of the Underworld, but things aren’t easy when you’re a dragon lord. Especially when his quest for the Nobel Swords takes him outside of Rahma and into a neighboring kingdom. Evan’s met a host of different races while in Inati, but he’s never encountered the elves before.
Awesome book in one of Eric Calls best series! The newest books in the series have Evan and Company searching for the Nobles of the Sword. When this arc started I hoped that each search wouldn't be repetitive and the same, and I'm glad to see that Eric Vall has managed to not only keep thing unique and interesting, but adds additional elements to the book that makes you want to keep reading. Devoured this book in one sitting.
Here we are again… I almost gave this book lower stars… it truly upsets me because I’m a realist… so when I read books I think to myself how would I handle things or how should things be handled TRULY… I’m going to get my gripes and complaints out of the way first… as usual… Evan talks about the safety of his family and protecting them at all cost… noble right? CORRECT!! It’s absolutely the right thing to do, so tell me why does he always go off half cocked and let his anger control his emotions and actions? For the most powerful being on the planet he gets lured and goaded into almost destroying the world to the point a god has to step in to show him how much of an idiot he is. Also, Anastasia disgusts me… that whole situation disgusted me… sure, I can understand her brother but the way SHE herself was as a person was disgusting. How can she be considered a warrior and a noble of the sword with her attitude? How can she be considered a true warrior or even considered defending her “land” her “home “ of Copacia if she can’t be expected to remove the evil from said lands? If bandits, demons, monsters or whatever shows up will she say no I cannot put these creatures down… I’m for life. I couldn’t see how she could continue to condone and protect her brother as well… moving along, the King, the second or now maybe the third most powerful person on the planet maybe he’s tied with his daughter? 🤔 is now some low self esteemed individual.. also, if you know that every time you try to perform the ceremony and evil happens why do you just leave the one of a kind dagger on your nightstand? The king can’t use spatial storage bro? Why don’t Alyona keep it for safety reasons? She’s holding so much else? They’ve already expected corruption within the ranks literally 12-14 books ago 😂 .. also, besides not giving the king the miracle tea 🍵 it’s been proven on multiple occasions that Evan can cast a revitalisation spell on people to instantly refresh magic… why hasn’t he helped the king? Why not top the poor man off? Next Dolion, no one searches prisoners before putting them in jail? He learned this already plenty of times to check the pockets of robes… the most recent the two brothers that loved to drink potions that stole Skye’s word Juniper. Why not destroy his rod of power 🤭🥴 the pun bro the pun and check his pockets? Also why doesn’t Evan use his truth spell more often? He uses bravado and threats and almost begs for information before he uses it. It would be the first thing I do. These people are evil criminals.. sorry, you have no rights, you get the sola spell instantly my son. Sighs, with all of that said and done I still LOVE this series… it’s soooo good! Man it’s so good, I just wish Vall would be more realistic and not make his main characters such meatheads sometimes. Also, I’m praying these dragons are all good.. it seems that Evans 6th sense never fails him and they might be good… that means Hatra will be a force to be reckoned with with so many dragons on defense… can you imagine? With Valerra and 4 more dragons backing her up when Evan isn’t there? That’s insane firepower. Literally. Then if he teaches them how to cultivate?? Have mercy they will be insanely powerful. One of the greatest cities. Onward, lads!

How Eric Vall does it, I'm not sure, but this series just keeps getting better with each new addition. The first arc against Oliver and the Green jade sect was good, this new arc is shaping up for all sorts of epic events. There are a number of little awesome moments in this volume which are almost an aside to the quest for the noble swords. A new villain is on the rise and their motives are obscured at this time...now I need book 18
This book has become my favorite in the series. Excellent pacing, has some light world building and included more than just the single go here and complete this task that a lot of the books in Dragon Empire are comprised of. There is a good mix of action and plot progression that made this book an enjoyable read.
Evan the almighty. The story is great and I love it wonderful and exciting the whole way through can’t wait for the eggs to hatch at the end but I don’t want it to end. So many dragons cool is all I can say. He will have an army of dragons. His own Air Force. Haha
Evan and his crew of lovelies continue the search for nobles of the sword. He needs the power to stop the demon King from destroying life on the planet. Unexpected complications arise as a new enemy attacks. I like the action, humor and love. I look forward to the next book.
I enjoyed reading this book. The story and characters continue to be interesting and engaging. This time, Evan and his crew search for the next sword. Things grow complicated as expected. But, it is nothing that the lord dragon cannot handle. This book, like the series, is definitely worth reading.
I believe it is five swords that did the ceremony. Now there are dragons in Hatra , will some be warriors? The newest seems shy if not timid by inexperience. So at least 6 more swords to go!
What an epic adventure, I feel like I say something so.iPad in all my reviews of this series but the breadth and scope of this epic work on fantasy just keeps growing! The characters and world building are incredible and I eagerly await the next one!
The series is creative with its different stories interweaving different fantasy elements into it. It does seem a bit simplistic, but it is meant for lite reading, not complex work of literature.
This is a fun series that keeps you interested and turning pages. Fun cast of characters that are moving ahead on a main quest to seal a breach and defeat the Demon King. I'm enjoying this series a great deal!
I like the fact the in every book the story does progress, that it doesn't stagnate like so many other authors that ive read the try a mimic eric vall's genera. This time tho you get to see more dragons enter the story and become a smal part of it.
I like this one due to the increase in the dragons and the little differences. I do want more things with the dragons as well as more adventures to places unknown <3
