COMING AUGUST 10!
He might not be the devil, but working under him for six weeks is my idea of hell.

Hayes Flynn is an arrogant jerk known best for his scotch habit and the way he spreads his British “charm” all over Hollywood, never with the same woman twice.

He’s the last person I want to work for, except he has a face I can’t look away from, and the longer we’re together,

Consider me smitten, charmed, seduced, and utterly romanced by this story, and by these characters. This novel is a sexy blend of sophistication, banter, friendship, love, and steam. With her effortless prose, Elizabeth O’Roark captured my heart with her charismatic and relatable characters. She showcased a love story that was a symphony of heat, passion, and raw vulnerability. It was the perfect romantic reading escape. I LOVED IT!

𝔸 𝔻𝕖𝕒𝕝 𝕎𝕚𝕥𝕙 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝔻𝕖𝕧𝕚𝕝 by Elizabeth O'Roark is a contemporary, boss/employee workplace romance stand-alone novel and my first from the author. I had no expectations going into this. Overall, I enjoyed the book. It is a lighthearted will they won’t they romance with funny and touching moments and an overall lighthearted vibe.

The story is told by the first person POV of Tali. Tali is a young aspiring author who has already gotten an advance on her first novel. The problem is, coming off

A funny and entertaining read that had me flipping pages after pages. It actually had me smiling right from the very start.

I love Hayes (perfect cover model, by the way) and Talia's dynamics. They're perfect for each other... especially with their never ending banter. There's never a dull moment with them. Both were burned from previous relationships so both were skittish to start anew.

I love how Talia cares for Hayes, even though she sees him as the devil. Hayes seems cold fro

I couldn't read this book fast enough!

A Deal With The Devil is a slow burn work place romance and is crazy spectacular! Tali finds herself working for Hayes, whom she believes is the devil himself. His demands are many and his lifestyle is not one she agrees with. Through some fantastic banter and humor these two begin to grow on each other. They both have some huge family issues that keep them from making the leap but when they do - WOW. These two are fire!

I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy of the book and fell in love with Hayes and Tali. Hayes definitely starts out appearing like a stereotypical jerk but once you start peeling back the layers - major swoons!! It reminds me of the old historical romance label of a reformed rake. Hayes definitely qualifies!! And Tali is smart, kind, empathetic, talented, loyal and so caring of everyone around her. This book has some of my all-time favorite scenes in a romance that have stuck with me, and m ...more

I had the honor of receiving an ARC of this book, and let me tell you - it is AWESOME. The heat between Hayes and Tali is off the charts and the banter between the two of them is fantastic. I love all of Elizabeth's books, but this one is special. I have already re-read it. I wouldn't call it your typical rom-com, but it is funny, HOT, angsty, sweet, and well-written - all things that make a great romance.

As far a romance novels go, it has a unique storyline, and the characters have enough dept

When I found out that I had been given an ARC of this book ahead of its release, I was absolutely thrilled, since Elizabeth O'Roark quickly became one of my go-to authors after I read "Waking Olivia" in 2016, and then she cemented herself as my favorite writer with the "Parallel" and "Across Time" series. Admittedly, I have been in a little bit of a book slump over the past several months, so flying through "A Deal With The Devil" felt like a giant breath of fresh air. It's not only a five-star ...more

4 star review of A Deal With The Devil by Elizabeth O'Roark
Elizabeth O’Roark is a new author to me and I am surprised I have not come across her books before. This is Hayes and Tali’s story and it was an entertaining read as I was drawn into the story that Ms.O’Roark wove.

When her friend asks her to step in and temporarily work for Plastic Surgeon Hayes, she has no idea how difficult the man is. As she comes to know him better she realizes that there is more to him than the brush exterior he ex

This is my first title by this author, and I enjoyed it overall.

The chemistry and the sexual tension between Hayes and Tali was phenomenal and you really felt their connection, even from the beginning of the story where it was clear Hayes wanted nothing to do with Tali (although you find out the reason for this later in the book) you could feel that there was a connection between them in the way that they interact with one another, and react to one anothe

Such a delightful and unexpected surprise of an ending to a rather broken story. The author does an amazing job of writing extremely relatable characters, suffering from real life events. Her character development was outstanding, even the side characters were enjoyable to get acquainted with.

Tali was such a strong and confident woman, having the world on her shoulders and everyone relying on her. Her trust has been broken down from an ex who never believed in her skills. Then, how she’s able t

A Deal With The Devil by Elizabeth O'Roark was a witty enemies to lovers boss-employee romance with sizzling hot chemistry. With a brooding and arrogant hero and a firecracker of a heroine, this story was full of sharp banters and swoony feels.

I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntarily, honest review of it.

When I discovered that the writer Elizabeth O’Roark had writing a new book, I was super excited about it. In the past I have enjoyed her books very much so this news made me very happy. And after reading ‘A deal with the devil’ I can happily say that I loved this story very, very much! And even now, a few days later, I’m still thinking about it.

I was super lucky to be able to receive an ARC of this book and boy am I thankful! Hayes and Talia are everything and I loved every one of their interactions! Hayes has that bad boy flare, hot as hell, British, and a wealthy doctor who seems to have no qualms and no heart and Talia is the sassy, gorgeous, caring, pain in the butt temporarily filling in as his assistant. Anytime I read anything from my favorite authors - and Elizabeth O'Roark is DEF my fave - I am always amazed by how they come up with the stuff I'm reading. A Deal With The Devil is no different. I was sucked in from the very beginning and read anxiously until the end. This book is very different than the last few I have read by her. It shows me that she is so smart and can't be stereotyped. 🎩 Well, well, well. Elizabeth O’Roark. What a writer! Waking Olivia is one of my all time favourites and I’ll be honest, I didn’t think she could top it. But then she comes out with A Deal With The Devil and I really do take my hat off because it is just a fantastic piece of writing.

Although I would rather have Hayes just for myself, I think I have found my newest favorite "book couple". Hayes, he's the kind of guy I would love to have met in my twenties when I was still looking for love in all the wrong places but I didn't have a best friend named Jonathan to introduce me to one and I wasn't as strong and confident as Tali either. Tali may have her insecurities and her weaknesses but she is no one's doormat. When Tali found herself up against Hayes because she needed the j ...more

This is a wonderful story! Talia needs some extra money and her friend, Jonathan, tells her that she can fill in for him as the personal assistant to his boss while he's away. Hunter is a plastic surgeon to the rich and famous. He has a reputation for sleeping around and Jonathan warns her not to sleep with Hunter. He also can't do anything for himself even putting the two sugars in his Starbucks coffee. Talia doesn't like Hunter much but she thinks she can put up with him for the time Jonathan ...more

I was so happy to be selected for an ARC for this book and it did not disappoint. Elizabeth is such an amazing writer and I have yet to be disappointed in anything she has written.

Both Hayes and Tali are a little broken romantically and it is so fun to watch them grow together and to begin trusting one another. In the beginning Hayes was a bit of a man-whore and in real life how he had Tali handle his conquest the next day would be off putting. However, the more you learn about Hayes and why he

This book made me so happy! Maybe that's not what the author was going for, but I feel it kind of had a 'Cinderella meets the Beast' vibe. To me, the Cinderella part isn't about rags to riches as much as discovering Tali for the gem she is but whose true value was not appreciated by a few of the most important people in her life. In fact, as the book progresses, Tali starts to recognize her true value herself as well. As for Hayes, he's like the Beast in terms of starting off as an insensitive b ...more

Talia and Hayes will melt your heart! Both broken by serious relationships in the past, Talia is hired as Hayes or Satan as she affectionately calls him, to be his temporary assistant. I don’t Remember laughing this hard while reading a book in a real long time! Tali is a struggling writer with a extremely dysfunctional family. When her friend ask her to step in for him as a personal assistant to a doctor she unwillingly agrees. Should you read this book? Absolutely yes! It was a well written, easy read, spicy romance. Not your typical enemies to lovers or workplace romance- it was a refreshing twist. Things I loved the most: the witty banter and chemistry between Tali and Hayes, the way we get to know Hayes better with each layer peeled back, and Tali’s spunk and loyalty to her people. This book is probably on of the best enemies-to-lovers I have read in awhile. Hayes is a workaholic who comes off as a playboy, but is really just misunderstood. Tali has been hurt by the only boyfriend she has ever had. She has a huge sense of responsibility that leads to her putting others before herself.

Tali hates Hayes, her best friend's boss, but will do anything to help her friend out including work for the devil himself.

A Devil With The Devil was the first & definitely won’t be the last book that I read by Elizabeth O’Roark. I loved going on Hayes & Tali’s journey. I was captivated from the first page to the last!

My favorite part of the story how Tali challenged Hayes. She wasn’t afraid to speak up and say what’s on her mind. Hayes won me over as the book progressed. Loved him.
