Eva Le Gallienne (1899-1991) was a British-born American stage actress, producer, director, translator, and author. A Broadway star by age 21, in 1926 she left Broadway behind to found the Civic Repertory Theatre.

I don't even know how many times I've read this through. More than three, that's for sure. XD

Eva Le Gallienne and Flora Friebus crafted a hit stage adaptation of Lewis Carroll's two Alice novels early in the twentieth century. Though scenes are transposed from both books and out of order, this remains a very faithful adaptation for the stage, with a cast of dozens and all the most beloved scenes and characters represented. So far, the best "Alice" adaptation for the stage.

This is one of my favorite versions of this book . Eva Le Gallienne played the White Queen in the back and white film version, so this paperback is hers and hers alone. Based n the original Alice in Wonderland.
