Synopsis:
The characters are well rounded and well developed. Berhis is back on her mail route, at least for the time being. She is also very busy with her granddaughter, babysitting and spending time loving on her. When Rowena, Bernie’s cat, finds a dead body, it is time for Bernie and Iris, her best friend, to get back on the sleuthing trail. With the help of the Front Porch Ladies and Revonda Gail, Bernie is determined to find the killer.
The author is very talented in her descriptive writing and you will feel like you are right in the middle of Sugar Creek Gap, enjoying some good old southern hospitality. The mystery was well plotted and there were enough clues to sift through and suspects to consider. There were enough twists and turns that kept me actively engaged until the end.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a well crafted cozy mystery. Grab this book and take a trip down south.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and provided my honest review.
Post Mortem Earns 5/5 Holes in One...Engaging Southern Gem!
FOOOUR! Tonya Kappes has added another engaging drama to her Mail Carrier Mystery series with this seventh book. Bernie is the president of the high school Booster Cub, and this year’s fundraiser is a departure from the casino night she started fifteen years ago. However interest in that was waning, and this new golfing event seems to be bringing in the fun, but can it bring in the money? However, Rachel Faulkner, one of the parents, is a extremely stressed about not being able to find her husband Jeff. His foursome had already completed their round, and someone said there’d been an argument and a few clubs were thrown in anger. Jeff was seen stomping off the course. So, where is he? The next day Bernie learns her friend Iris has had one of her “crazy feelings.” She’s not known for a perfect record with these feelings, but in this case, she might be onto something. Jeff Faulkner is found dead, and there’s no question it was murder.
The drama is engaging with several rumors fueling the gossip around town, and what started out as a relatively easy case has turns delightfully complex and engaging, especially when Bernie decides to get involved...trouble usually ensues. The final reveal had been on my radar, but it isn’t the destination, but the journey, and a journey through Kappes’ literary universe is just plain fun! Beyond the murder mystery with the intrigue of high-stakes gambling, major debts, and more, readers, like me, have become invested in the characters: Bernie and her grandchild, her son Grady and his own young family, Mac, and my favorite, the Front Porch Ladies. Kappes’ writing style is also key to my enjoyment with enough description to make even newbies relishing in the small community, but her creative language and clever banter also does well to illustrate characters and their personalities. All painted with southern flair, this book is tops.
Disclosure: I received an ARC from the author. My review is voluntary with honest insights and comments.
Post Mortem by Tonya Kappes is the 6th A Mail Carrier Cozy Mystery. It can be read as a standalone for those new to the series or if you have missed a book. Bernie Butler loves her job, her town, friends, boyfriend, son, and daughter-in-law, and most especially her granddaughter, Clara. Bernie is a widow with a married son, and she works as a mail carrier in Sugar Creek Gap, Kentucky. She is dating Mac Tabor a local architect who lives near her. Bernie has helped solve a few cases, but she is not used to finding dead bodies. After discovering Jeff Faulkner dead in the woods, Bernie’s curiosity gets the best of her. The Front Porch Ladies keep her up to date on the latest gossip and Bernie gets assistance from Vince, a retired FBI agent. The mystery was straightforward and can be solved early in the story. I wish the whodunit had been more challenging. The killer might as well have been waving a red flag and yelling “you hoo, I did it!” There are some great characters in A Mail Carrier Cozy Mystery series. The Front Porch Ladies, Mac, Grady, Julia, Bernie’s parents, Vince, and Monica are just a few of them. I like the setting of Sugar Creek Gap as well. It is a cozy town with friendly (except for a few bad apples) residents. I enjoy going with Bernie on her mail route. It allows us to meet the residents and visit the shops. There is humor scattered throughout the story that will have you giggling and sometimes laughing out loud. I like the inclusion of Bernie’s animals in the story. The ending will delight fans of the series and leave readers smiling. Post Mortem is a lighthearted cozy mystery with a curious cat, gone golfer, rampant rumors, a cross sheriff, and an indomitable mail carrier.
Bernadette (Bernie) Butler, is a much-loved mail carrier in the southern town of Sugar Creek Gap. She also helps with fundraising for the high school whenever she can. This year’s big even is taking place at the Country Club Golf Course. All the proceeds from the golf tournament will go to the high school. When Jeff, the husband of the fundraising chair goes missing, after an argument on the golf course, Bernie knows something is off. Especially since Iris, her best friend, mentions to her she has a feeling, and it’s not a good feeling either.
Bernie has been known to find a dead body or two, maybe five, and although she technically didn’t “find” the body, her cat, Rowena did. By the look of the cleats, it seems Rowena found the missing golfer. Although this body doesn’t affect her personally, Bernie can relate to Rachel, having lost her husband years ago. She would like to give Rachael closer and find Jeff’s killer. As Bernie begins to investigate, she starts to unravel a web of deceit and more suspects than she imagined.
I always enjoy going on Bernie’s route as she gets the inside scoop on all the residents. Tonya Kappes, skillfully weaves the story with an intriguing plot, a bit of Southern humor, and a smidgen of romance. This is a very entertaining cozy mystery, one that will have you laughing out loud at some of the antics of the “Front Porch Ladies!” Grab a copy and travel to the cozy town of Sugar Creek Gap. I’m sure the ladies will fix you a tall cold glass of sweet ice tea! I received an advanced reader copy from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
It is so much fun to visit Sugar Creek Gap again and see our favorite mail carrier, Bernie, and her pets, Rowena and Buster. Bernie is a mail carrier in Sugar Creek Gap, Kentucky. She has helped solve several murders in the past couple years. As someone who loves people and loves to talk, it is natural that she picks up information about people as she walks her route. Bernie and Revonda Gail and Rowena are my favorite characters. It is spring, and I like imagining how this historic town and its greenery look from the great word pictures. I enjoy the suspense, humor, and friendship.
Bernie and her best friend Iris are serving at the annual end-of-year fundraiser, a golf outing at the local country club and hosted by the high school booster club. She has been a member since her son, now a father and coach, was a student there. One of the ladies is looking worried and continues to check her cell phone. Rachel asks everyone if they have seen her husband, Jeff, whose foursome finished a couple hours ago, and he still hadn’t been seen when Bernie left to babysit her grandbaby Clara.
The next morning, Jeff’s disappearance is all anyone talks about, including speculation about anything from escaping gambling debts to running away with a mistress. Bernie hears it all as she walks around town with her mail bag. Unfortunately, sometimes she sees it all, too. She and her personality-plus shelter cat, Rowena, on her bicycle. When stopping to drink, Rowena tugged on the leash to look at something. Just inside the woods was a golf shoe with a shiny metal cleat. Nearby was the body that it had been worn on. Jeff was no longer missing; Rowena found him.
Bernie doesn’t want any part of looking into Jeff’s death, even when learning how he died. She is a granny now and has new priorities. Bernie remembers how it felt to suddenly lose a spouse, though, and information seemed to keep falling into her mail cart. With the help of Iris and her new neighbor Revonda, Bernie is on the trail of suspects. She is sure she knows whodunit but wants to find some proof before taking it to the sheriff.
This granny is happy to have a sleuth a little closer to her age than most sleuths! While I enjoy all ages, age carries a different perspective. Her friend Vince, a retired FBI agent, is a great partner in crime-solving, as is Revonda Gail, a young woman who recently returned to town with insider knowledge of criminal behavior.
Plot twists added a couple suspects to the short list, but Bernie wasn’t prepared for the real whodunit. Neither was I for that matter, but it was Bernie’s life on the line. The end is more than satisfactory, with an amazing surprise! I’m looking for the next trip to Sugar Creek Gap, and I can’t wait to see how Rowena and Bernie’s pup, Buster, appreciate the results of the surprises! I highly recommend this mystery and its series to fans of the author, well-written Southern cozy mysteries, intriguing plots, delightful characters, and pets that contribute to the action.
From a thankful heart: I received an ARC of this novel from the author; a positive review was not required.
Post Mortem is another entertaining installment in Kappes' mail carrier mystery series. I always look forward to each new book in this series, and this latest installment definitely does not disappoint. Bernie is attending a fundraiser at the country club for the local school when she finds out that a parent has gone missing from the event. In the midst of delivering mail, Bernie ends up finding the body of the missing parent and becomes involved in yet another murder mystery.
Kappes does a great job at setting up this latest mystery especially since Bernie's son works for the school and knows the people involved. I really liked how this story focused on Bernie's connections to her family and her relationship with Mac. Having a parent murdered reminded Bernie of when her own son lost his father making the case hit close to home. I also loved seeing my favorite secondary characters back again helping Bernie solve this latest mystery. Overall Post Mortem proved to be an entertaining read that captures the reader's interest from the very beginning and never lets go. I can't wait to read Bernie's next adventure.
Received a copy of Post Mortem from the author in exchange for my honest review.
Oh this one had such cute or moving moments...among murder and investigation time of course. Bernadette and Mac are so cute together, i love how she is attentive to others. Rowena and Buster are wonderful pets we love to read about.
The whole group of friends helping Bernadette to investigate is so great i love Vince and his knight in atrmor side always ready to help. The great baker who has the talent sense murder^^ and of course the group of ladies from Bernadette 's street great gossiping group.... I love how this is not centered on a young character showing that you can be useful not matter your age.
it's well written and give you a feeling of comfort while enjoying a good investigation. a series to recommend but could work as stand alone without trouble.
Bernie and Rowena find themselves trying to find out what happened to Jeff after he disappeared from an annual fundraiser. There are many guesses as to what happened to him and Bernie wants to find out out truth so that his family doesn't have to wonder any more. I enjoyed reading about all of the guesses as to what happened to him and what they initially thought has happened. I look forward to reading the next one.
Another enjoyable visit with Bernie and her friends. This one was a little different because there is some tension within the family but all with a happy ending. The murder itself was interesting because it had a younger set of suspects than we're used to and very little with the older ladies that usually help her. I was ecstatic with the ending and all the changes that are to come in Sugar Creek Gap.
While the main storyline and the mystery plot are great, the book feels rushed and there are a lot of continuity errors. It needs a good round of proofreading and editing.
Overall I liked this book. Bernie finds another dead body. She tries to figure out who did it. Yet she seems to make things difficult for people. Luckily the murder is solved and all is well for now.
Post Mortem the 6th instalment in the Mail Carrier Mystery Series by Tonya Kappes. I absolutely love this series, featuring Rowena a marmalade tabby just like my Charlie. I loved returning to Sugar Creek Gap Kentucky and visiting with Bernie, Mac, Iris, Buster and Rowena the cat. I must say this might be my favourite one yet in the series. I really enjoyed Gertrude and, Revonda Gail’s part in the story. Revonda Gail helped Bernie out this time, and there were lots of suspects as well as twists to keep us entertained and guessing. I had no idea who the killer was until Bernie did! Also there were a couple of surprises and I can’t wait for the next instalment! I highly recommend this book and series to all my cozy loving friends especially if they like an older herione.
There's another murder in Sugar Creek Gap. The victim's son is up for a scholarship at one of the better schools, So Bernadette is determined to flush out the killer.
Pro's: Another good story with developed characters and a bit of humor, along with a touch of romance. The story has what I would call a sweet ending, and promises of more adventures in the future.
Con's: Bernadette didn't really have a valid reason to nose into this particular murder and she followed her clues the way she wanted them to fall instead of letting them lead her in the correct direction she needed to go.
While this was still an enjoyable story, it is not going to be one of my favorites in the series.
Another great book in the series. Bernie is a relatable character, she is a smart strong female. She loves her family and friends so much she will do anything to help them out of any situation. The rest of the characters are full of personality and southern charm. The mystery will take you on a ride with carefully place red-herrings.
All thoughts and opinions are my own, and in no way have I been influenced by anyone.
Bernie is helping with a fundraiser for the Sugar Creek High School Booster Club when Rachel Faulkner bumps into her. Rachel is acting anxious because she can't find her husband, Jeff, who isn't answering his cell phone. Bernie overheard that Jeff got into an argument and stormed off.
While Bernie is delivering mail, she runs into Iris, who informs her that she has a feeling. No one likes it when Iris has a feeling, it doesn't always bode well. Iris tags along with Bernie, and they reach the Front Porch Ladies where Bernie and Harriette argue over junk mail. Harriette wants to give it back! Gertrude lets it slip that Jeff was gambling and owed money.
With Bernie's mail truck out of commission, she opted to take her bike and bring Rowena along for a ride. A quick stop had Bernie grabbing for Rowena's leash before she could run off, but not before Bernie taking a closer look to spot something shiny followed by a body! Rowena under one arm, with the other, frantically waving while screaming, Bernie flagged Colvin Batty down. Colvin thought Bernie done lost her mind, until he also saw the body.
Bernie knows all too well what it's like to lose a husband and with all the gossip she's heard about Jeff, she believes she knows who the killer is. Bernie is bound and determined to help the sheriff.
I laughed at Harriette trying to return her junk mail back to Bernie and later, being all upset having to flag down Bernie, who skipped delivering the mail. The Front Porch Ladies live for their mail and the gossip! I loved how Vince Caldwell wanted to tag along to the Country Club in hopes of flashing his badge. Only for the both of them to get conned into a game of putt-putt, neither wanted to play and did so, very badly. The things Bernie is willing to do for the sake of snooping! I enjoyed being back in Sugar Creek Gap with Bernie and the Front Porch Ladies.
I received a complimentary copy and I have voluntarily reviewed this book!
Bernadette "Bernie" Butler, is a mail carrier in Sugar Creek Gap, KY. She is also mother to Grady, a teacher and coach at the high school and grandmother to Clara. Bernie is also a long--time member of the high school booster club. In the past when Bernie was chair they had casino nights. This year, Rachel Faulkner, is chair and they are having a golf outing at the country club. While Bernie and her friend, Iris, are serving food, Rachel begins asking about her husband. He has not shown up from his golf outing. Everyone starts asking about Jeff and the rumors begin flying. Did he have gambling debts? Did he and Bruce Kline fight more than everyone thought? Did he run off with a mistress? The next morning while Bernie and her cat, Rowena, are delivering mail using Bernie's bicycle, Rowena sees something shiny in the woods at the country club. It is Jeff Faulkner's shoe and Jeff Faulkner's body.Bernie begins having an episode and yells for help. The first one there is Colvin Batty who was in Jeff's foursome. Bernie feels she needs to solve this murder. She understands Rachel and her son, Les's situation. She and Grady were in the same situation when her husband, Richard, was killed in an accident. Les has just won a very prestigious STEM scholarship.Bernie always has the help of her friend, I ris, Revonda Gail and the Front Porch Ladies. It is always a pleasure to visit Sugar Creek Gap. I enjoy the characters grow and become more of a family. There is a nice surprise at the end of the book that I am sure you will love. I received an advance copy of this book. This is my honest opinion.
Bernie is a mail carrier in Sugar Creek Gap and she does more than deliver mail, she delivers justice by tracking down the occasional killer. This time she didn't actually find the body of Jeff Faulkner in the bushes, her cat, Rowena, did. As she was a widow raising a son on her own, she feels a connection to Jeff's new widow and fatherless son. Time for Bernie, with some help from the Front Porch Ladies and various other friends, to tune in to all of the local gossip/information she gleans on her daily rounds delivering mail. Some of the gossip says Jeff was having money problems due to gambling debts. Bernie sets out to get the answers but the killer might just make her the next victim. Friends support her efforts and the killer is nabbed but there are a few tense moments along the way before they can say case closed. There are also some very nice surprises. Besides always giving the reader a great puzzle to untangle, spending time in Sugar Creek Gap is always fun. It's a town that comes together when needed and friends have each others backs. Bernie is lucky to have so many wonderful people in her life....especially Iris and the front Porch Ladies. I'd love to sit with them and share lots of laughter over a pitcher of sweet tea. My thanks to the author for giving me an advance copy in exchange for my honest review.
I just love the Front Porch Ladies and Sugar Gap Creek. What a wonderful series! All the characters are so down to earth and you can so easily relate to them. This book is no exception. Of course Bernie is going to get pulled into another murder investigation through no fault of her own. While at a booster rally for school at the Country Club golf course someone goes missing. Everyone is searching trying to figure out what happened when of course Bernie finds another body. Much to the chagrin of the sheriff Bernie and Iris once again feel like they need to investigate and help out a young boy who lost his father much like Grady had years earlier. Despite warnings from the sheriff to leave it alone Bernie can't stop and in a shocking turn of events solves the case and almost loses her life. There are also two great surprises in the book that you will love. I love this series and you should start from the beginning and read them all, but I also love that Tonya gives you such great background on all the characters as you go so you can really pick up any book in the series and start reading and know who everyone is and feel like you are a resident of Sugar Gap Creek.
Welcome back to Sugar Creek Gap, where hearsay is most of the talk around town.
Bernadette Butler is a Mail Carrier, but she is also expected to get in on and deliver all the gossip to be had!
Bernadette's "slaydar" is working again and she discovers the body of a missing town member (or in this case her cat, Rowena does). When she finds out there has been another murder, her nosy nature compels her to find out Who done it!
What I love about this series is Bernie is someone I can relate to. She is no spring chicken and is coping with the trials of an aging body that just doesn't work as well as it did 20 years ago. I love the small town community feeling, where everyone basically looks out and supports one another, as well as lifetime friendships. Bernie and her BFF can look at the Front Porch Ladies and know that could be them in another 20 or so years.
Tonya Kappas basically leaves us a trail of breadcrumbs to an obvious suspect. she also tosses in a few red herrings to doubt our guesses I was shocked and surprised when the real culprit was revealed!
Mail carriers are known for knowing everyone's business without "knowing" everyone's business. They see when someone is struggling before anyone else does just by the nature of their mail. But what happens when they're on route and stumble upon (thanks to help from Rowena) a missing person's body? They get noisier!
Bernie is at it again with help from Iris and Revonda Gail. The question remains, who did it and why? It seems like every rock she turns over comes up with a squished bug- meaning the suspects she finds had motive but all leads are a dead end. What is going on in her little town?
I have this 4 stars because it seems as if she's leaving the front porch ladies out and ignoring them even though they were forefront in most every mystery before.
One question I would like answered was did the golf scramble do well enough to beat out the gambling night? It was a big deal in the beginning, but kind of dwindled off midway. Not surpassing considering there was murder.
This story is full of happiness, shock, and surprises all around. Best read as a series by can be read as a standalone. I was given an advanced copy and this is my honest opinion.
Post Mortem is another hit in the Mail Carrier series! If this is an introduction for you to this series, never fear, it can be read as a stand-alone without difficulty although after this you will definitely want to go back and read the others. Bernadette is a mail carrier who just can't seem to avoid finding dead bodies, and as always, with a little help of her 'eyes on everything' front porch ladies go to work to solve the newest murder mystery in Sugar Creek Gap. This installment has us seeing a ton of empathy as Bernadette leaves no stones unturned to get to the bottom of the murder at hand. All of the characters are easy to get to know, those you may have met before and those that are new to the story, and well written which makes everything so easy to follow. Tonya has a way with descriptors that leave nothing to chance and will send your imagination into overdrive as you put yourself right into the story. This story is a super fun cozy mystery that gives you the twists and turns and the surprise ending you've come to expect, just when you are SURE you know who did it, you find out that's just not the case.
Sugar Creek Boosters Club has sponsored a fundraiser for the high school at the local country club. After the golf tournament, Rachel is looking everywhere for her husband Jeff who hasn’t been seen since his round of golf. Rumors start flying about what has happened to him. As luck would have it, Bernie, the local mail carrier, prepares to deliver the mail on her route only to discover that her mail truck has broken down. Instead, Bernie walks part of her route then gets her bike to finish it out. She takes her cat, Rowena, with her in the basket of her bike. Without warning, Rowena jumps out of the basket to run into the underbrush. When Bernie goes to get her, she discovers what she later learns is the body of Jeff. Not to be one to stand by and let the police do their job, Bernie starts investigating. Suspects abound including her own son Grady. Kappes keeps you guessing until the end with the surprising reveal of the real killer. Can’t wait for the next book in this series!
Post Mortem is the newest cozy mystery in the Mail Carrier Mystery series by Tonya Kappes. When a prominent citizen, Jeff Faulkner goes missing from a golf fundraiser, rumors abound about where he went and why. All that gossip goes by the wayside when he's found dead. With Jeff's murder a whole new strain of rumors begins. Bernie begins to collect information to find out what really happened to Jeff.
The author did a fantastic job introducing potential suspects in the murder of Jeff. There were means, motive, and opportunity for everyone. I had a hard time trying to figure out who committed the crime. Every time a suspect was identified, something or someone was able to come up with an alibi for that person.
The characters are likable, realistic, and I loved them. The author tossed in a few other side stories to continue the small-town feel of the series. I enjoyed the story and how the author threw in red herrings to keep the reader guessing. I was also able to visualize the story as I read along.
Oh my gosh! I’m still wiping the tears away after this one! This was the best story yet! Bernie is on the case again. Bernie and Rowena find a body after the end-of-the-year fundraiser for the Sugar Creek High School Booster Club. Bernie is determined to solve this mystery. This one hit close to home in some ways because the victim Jeff, leaves behind a son. Bernie knows what Grady went through went Richard died and she has to solve one! Bernie’s sleuthing skills are put to the test this time. Is this because of gambling, jealousy, or something more! Bernie enlists Iris and Revonda Gail to help her get to the bottom of this one! I love every visit to Sugar Creek Gap! The characters feel like your family! Be sure to grab a sweet tea, a big old biscuit and some honey while you enjoy the visit!
*I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book and I am not required to leave a review. The comments and opinions expressed are strictly my own.*
It was fun to make a long overdue return to Sugar Creek Gap. Mail carrier Bernadette (Bernie) Butler once again finds herself in the middle of a murder investigation. Author Tonya Kappes knows how to lead her readers into the heart of the mystery yet keeps them guessing about “who done it” up until the very end.
This book is a part of her Mail Carrier Cozy Mystery series that also features the author’s personal cat, Rowena, as the prototype for Bernie’s pet. As a matter of fact, it is Rowena that actually discovered the dead body!
It is not necessary to read the previous books in the series first as we are given enough background information to understand how the characters fit into the story. If you have been reading these books in order, then you will feel like you have returned home.
I purchased my copy directly from the author with no promise of a review either asked or given. However, I enjoy her books and wanted to share my opinion. I already have the next two books on my shelf and look forward to reading them soon.
Post Mortem is the 6th book in the Mail Carrier Cozy Mystery series by Tonya Kappes.
Bernie was helping with a fundraiser where a man went missing. There was a lot of speculation about why he ran off until Rowena found him while she was out with Bernie delivering the mail. The murdered man left behind a wife and high school age son which brought up a lot of memories from when Bernie’s husband died and her son was in high school.
I really enjoy visiting Sugar Creek Gap, Kentucky. There are so many wonderful, interesting characters. It was nice that Rowena had a starring role this time. There were humorous moments with the Front Porch Ladies and Vince.
I was surprised by the wrap up of the murder and the book. I can’t wait for the next one.
I received an Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This is the 6th book in this series and I’m thrilled that this book lives up to the previous ones. This stands well on its own, but the series is best enjoyed read in order as there are some long story arcs, although not true cliffhangers. I especially enjoy the main character, Bernie, who is about my age—after she was widowed, she found out her husband had cheated her whole marriage and had another family. Fortunately, Bernie is better at picking up clues now, as she has become an amateur sleuth in addition to her job as a mail carrier. I wasn’t a mail carrier, but was cheated on and am now a grandma, so I really identify with her as she’s moving on and finding love later in life. The mystery is really good and fun to solve. I definitely recommend this book and series; I was provided an arc, but these opinions are my own.
Bernadette “Bernie” Butler is one of my all-time favorite characters. Not many writers, of any genre, have characters that are this relatable. Having experienced the same symptoms as Bernie, I can sympathize and share her misery!
Sugar Creek Gap has its share of crime and murders but still a place I want to live. I enjoy reading about small-town life and how Bernie, as a mail carrier, knows so much about the townspeople. And then the hilarious Front Porch Ladies are always there to gossip.
The mysteries are always creative and never fail to surprise me even when I think I am 100% sure of the identity of the killer and this story did not disappoint.
I cannot wait to read more about Bernie, her relationships, and the next inevitable murder she will stumble upon while on her mail route.
I received an ARC of this book, and this is my honest voluntary review.
Post Mortem is the sixth book in the Tonya Kappes Mail Carrier Mystery Series. Even though the book is the sixth in this wonderful series it can very well be read as a standalone. I love this series and Tonya did not disappoint. It is always great to come back to Sugar Creek Gap, Kentucky and visit with old friends. I really enjoy all the twists, turns, and red herrings all leading up to the suspect being revealed. I love the fact in all of Tonya Kappes’s books that she always keeps me guessing right up to the end! The story is very well written the characters are well developed and likable. Post Mortem is an enjoyable, entertaining read that will keep you turning the pages keeping you engaged and not wanting to put it down. I highly recommend this book and series to anyone that loves a well written cozy mystery. I myself can't wait for the next adventure.
