So more information has come out regarding this author and yeah. No. I don’t think I’ll be reading anything else by Dana Isaly. But if you want to, go ahead. But be aware that what you’re reading may have original source material elsewhere, even if it’s not in written form.
And some people who have sided with DI are saying that Eros’ trauma isn’t valid - fuck those people. If your goal was to alienate friends and readers, 👏🏻 hats off to you. It worked.

i have recently found out that this author has plagiarised the works and ideas of voEROS (on tiktok) and other women in his community, and also used his childhood trauma in her book. therefore, i will not be reading and supporting any of her works anymore and i’ll be taking back my ratings for this book.

anyone who knows me KNOWS i am obsessed with gamer boys okay so i ate this book up!! it’s insane to me how short this was but it still managed to give all the characters so much personality and i feel in love with the friend group!! also the smut? amazing

I’m sick to my stomach knowing what I know now. This book makes me feel icky now, sexualizing others without their consent is disgusting. Profiting off it? Doing it for your own pleasure/gain? Horrific. Once again, I no longer support this author.

This was so much fun! I loved how he was a gamer and she was a reporter coming to do a story on him. Things get heated and they end up spending all night together. Their conversations were great (there was actually some depth to their conversations in such a short amount of pages) and I loved their chemistry! I do think it was weird that we got one random chapter from someone else's POV while they were at the club, and the ending seemed really rushed, but overall this was a really ...more

Now I like a good erotica story every now and then, but this one just didn't hit the spot like I had hoped. To be perfectly honest, it read like the script of a porn movie...but not a good one. The premise sounded so good and the cover was alluring, so of course I had to try it. Sadly it just didn't work for me.

This is either going to really work for you, or really… not work for you. I’m definitely on the ‘not’ side. This book has been so hyped lately so when I saw it was available on audio I was here for it. Unfortunately, the whole story was just not my kind of read. I was expecting like, a darker Jessa Kane type of book, but it wasn’t that. I’m honestly not sure what this was. If it worked for you that’s awesome and I’m not here to tell anyone not to read it, but yeah… no. Not for me.
