ODDS The club gym manager meets Kennedy when she applies for a job as the gym therapist. He is not looking for a relationship, and he finds himself going head to head with her more than once. His hot temper will need to be curbed if he wants to win the woman. KENNEDY Just call her ball-buster. A female ex-boxer and Jujitsu Champion. She fought her way to success as the only way to earn enough to finance her physiotherapy training. Kennedy and Buster become targets for a Manager/Promoter who has set his sights on them.
Each of the books in the series covers one of the MC characters. They can be read as standalone but are best read in order. No cliff-hanger, no cheating, HEA The content is for mature audiences only 18+. Please do not read if sexual situations, violence, and explicit language offend you, small torture scene included in this book.
I really loved Kennedy from the start, she was so confident and knew what she was doing. It was fun to see how much she blew Odds away with how she thought the gym should change and then to see it happen and more than succeed was great! She did what needed to be done around the gym, but the best was working with the old boys, who are my favorites in this series. She got them working out at great activities for them.
I hated the threat that was happening. You really weren't sure who was behind the threat or who they were targeting. Pretty soon the whole club was working to get to the bottom of things and when they realized who it was working to deal with the threat. It took some doing and cooperation from allies, but by the end things were all good for everyone.
The romance part was lite again, not much happening, other than Odds putting hit foot in his mouth with some bad comments because he liked her but wasn't sure what to do about that. They did work things out in the end, which was good.
Who doesn't love a badass woman who can hold her own? Odds! He struggled with accepting Kennedy is her own woman with her own skills. Loved the way Kennedy held her own, while remaining true to herself. And it showed great growth of character of Odds in how he had to change his thinking. Loved it, want more and on to Torch
I like the way the author creates this book world, it's amazing and exciting to read. How she creates this gym business, the whole atmosphere of the fitness and fighting scene is awesome. The interaction with the characters are not so exciting, building a relationship takes time and effort. The Hero and Heroine relationship wasn't a true love, it just wasn't anything but a hook up and bam they are together. Very anticlimactic.
I like the characters and the concept of the story....but the horrible editing really hurts the overall flow of it. If this Author could work with a good editor to help with grammar, punctuation and most importantly help her make the characters talk like they’re actually from America it could be a really good series.
Each book improves over the previous book . my only complaints are that those who are supposed to be Americans using foreign slang LOL 😂 and the quick ending. I prefer it when the couple have a little more time to come together and relax together be fore the book ends . But that's just my preference.
2.5* It was okay. Not very well written and doesn’t seem like an Mc.
Still badly written unfortunately. with a lot of mistakes, especially about Mc’s. There’s no great romance between them. They’re barely speaking at times, then they’re madly in love. It’s bizarre, as at times they seem to hate each other, Odds really disapproves of Kennedy and the way that she runs into danger. Having said that there were parts of it that was enjoyable, and I like knowing all the rest of the club. There are some really funny parts at the beginning.
Kennedy is working as a physiotherapist for the Mc at their gym, when threats are made against them. Odds is the co-owner and manager of the gym. As the danger escalates Odds wants to wrap Kennedy in cotton wool, even though she’s a ex top fighter herself. This causes her a lot of anguish as something happened in her past, that we never find out about. They do seem attracted to each other, but they barely speak all the way through the book, then we’re expected to believe that they’re madly in love! The sex scenes are really bad as well. No foreplay at all, (Unless you count kissing.) then amazing sex, that she loved. Yeah of course. 😡😡😡😡 Why are we never told their real names? Poor Kennedy has to call out Odds during sex. Every other Mc always tells the women their real name, not their Mc name.
If you want a romance set in an Mc, this isn’t the book for you.
Odds and Kennedy meet at the gym that the club owns as she is a physiotherapist that helps with injuries and she also is a former boxer among other things. She has a brilliant mind for how the different areas of the gym should be on the different floors and also instead of just having a canteen, she thought it better to have a cafeteria with healthier food and she's made the club some serious dollars. She and Odds were a good combo to start with and then he got to alpha because he thought she was endangering herself, which was farther from the truth because someone had her back. There was an asshat named GL that was to lazy to make his own gym work out so he went about things the wrong way and him and his cohorts paid dearly for their misconceptions. Looking forward to more stories. Happy reading.
The Satan's Guardians has bought the local gym and Odds is the new manager. He wasn't planning to let anyone go but give each worker a chance to show their worth, the one problem he did not expect was Kennedy. Kennedy is fierce, she is a fighter and does more work then anyone there. Finding out that a local drug dealer is trying to make Kennedy his has Odds protective instinct ramping up. Odds wants Kennedy as his own, but convincing the stubborn woman is another matter altogether.
This was great, Kennedy is pure feisty fireball. She is doing her best to do right by her brother and if that means fighting in matches, she will do that. However, there seems to be more then one threat out there and Odds is doing his best to keep her protected. I thought this was a bit angsty but overall good story.
This was not my favorite book by this author by a long shot. Don't get me wrong. The storyline is solid and would usually warrant about a 4 in my normal review system. However there were two inconsistencies I found where the author forgot which guys she used for her different actions and a few pages later sometime was calling sometime already at the action. And if I read bits and pieces again in this book at a point I would have stopped reading it. I know it's a saying (can be changed out for stuff or other words) in a different country - it just kept taking me out of the story.... About a third of the way thru it just stopped though so I'm that I was ok.....
I liked Odds and Kennedy and I love that the women aren't wallflowers. Will continue on to the next book.
If reading this for biker and MC theme plot, it is a good story. Finally, the bikers most often in the plot are more fleshed out. If looking for a romance, this won't be a good choice. Absolutely no relationship development. Tension and conflict for 2/3 of the book, then bam. Odds decides she is his. A quick kiss and they decide to "spend time together." A chapter later, without any further relationship interaction they are in bed. The plot resolves and then Odds is giving her a cut.
This book was not written as much in the third person. I think that is why the rest of the book was enjoyable. I was able to relate to the other characters more.
OMG I want to be Kennedy when I grow up lol. Odds runs the gym the club runs and hires Kennedy to be the therapist there. Kennedy helps the gym by bringing in more ideas and money for it. Kennedy is an ex champion fighter and can take care of herself while Odds is alpha male who wants to protect her from everything. Enter a crooked promoter and another MC that go after Kennedy and another fighter. Boom Odds and Kennedy bump heads add on the old guard and the laughs and action will have you not putting down this book.
The new Club gym is all set and ready and when Kennedy applies to be their physio therapist she gets the job, all her hard work is finally paying off, even if she does but heads with the manager Odds. Odd wasn't looking for love but Kennedy burrowed her self in deep with her feisty no nonsense attitude. only there is someone out there after her and the fighters, and they dont take no to well. this is a good engaging story line and well developed character, a great addition to the series!
It’s an interesting book, how the club builds up its assets, how intricate the MMA and fight club circuit is and how it can be filled with insidiously evil people. But the love story seemed like an afterthought, it’s like the writing got taken over with building the background and at 70% the author suddenly realized her MMC and FMC were still happily single and both going about their business, and wham we have a sudden MINE moment from Odd, no resistance from Kennedy and wham HEA the end.
I so enjoyed this addition to the series. Odds, a MC biker, and Kennedy, a ex MMA female fighter who is strong, kind and tough at the same time. Both work to improve the MC’s Gym business. Lots of action and it’s neat that Kennedy does some of it. It’s good to read about a character who works hard in her field and is as tough as the guys but still very feminine. A very good read. HEA, no cheating, no cliffhanger. Enjoy.
This is the third book in the series. It is a stand alone but it would be helpful to read in order so that you know the cast of characters. This is Odds and Kennedy’s story. Her father left her at seventeen to fend for herself. So she became a boxer and a jujitsu champ to pay for her college. She is a physical therapist at the gym. Their “courtship” has many bumps due to Odds alpha personality. They get their HEA by the end of the book so all ends well.
The story line for this novel is good, however the writing skill is lacking. The language does not go with the setting. The setting is in the USA, the slang is that of another country. Do your research on the country and the way people talk before you write your novel.
I've given 3 books a shot because I kept hoping you'd get better at the 3rd person narrative and maybe use correct word choices for American slang. Its disappointing because the storylines are interesting but should really be told in the 1st person to create a stronger relationship to the characters.
Kennedy is tough and kind fight but she has a soft side too. All of the guys think Kennedy would make a great old lady so Odds has to hurry. Odds makes a few mistakes with Kennedy and has to explain and win her over. There's trouble too so there are exciting fight scenes.
Another book filled with mischief and mayhem from the older guys with plenty of laughs and a kind of sweet story too. I enjoyed this book and I love finding out more about the different brothers. These books are quite short reads with plenty of story packed in. I would recommend giving them a read.
I love ODDS and Kennedy they are an awesome couple. I love how strong and fierce she is as an ex fighter. Which ends up with being chased by a gym owner who wants her to fight for him. We get to see two other clubs who are funny and love to get revenge. Most of all I love crank who is so funny.
The gym is coming together and the new physical therapist is what the gym and Odds need. But someone is after the fighters and Kennedy but the club will win this fight. Another enjoyable book.
I started at book one in this series and keep reading until the next! The author did an amazing job of making you feel like part of their family! I feel so close to each and every character. Not looking forward to the end of the series!
I am really enjoying this MC series. It has some really fun moments that have you giggling. The old boys are the bomb. Great character build up. Lots of strong women and great biker men to stand by them.
This story proves that when a man likes a woman, wants her for his girl all of their brains either stop working or go to their smallest head. Just as well the woman won’t let herself be talked down to or strong armed in anyway.
In every book so far there is a scene that you can't help but laugh at and I loved this one for that it was so good I couldn't put it down at one point I love that the women innthese books can handle the men and themselves just a really good read on to book 4
Another great story by the author, filled with my type gal. A woman that's smart, kick ass alpha female that can take care of herself. The characters are incredibly interesting, the storyline keeps you interested, filled with plenty of action.
I enjoyed this addition to the Satan’s Guardians MC Series. Kennedy is the perfect addition to the old ladies of the club as usual my favorite characters are the old guys, they keep the storylines fun.
I am just loving this series - I’m totally invested! I agree with Doc that Odds and Kennedy are a good match. But I love the old boys so much. They bring so much to every story! So good!
Each books bring me more into this series! Love each one is about different characters but includes all the others too! This one was a little faster pace than the others. At least in my eyes. But I still loved it as I did the others!! Grabbing the next one now!!
