I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

She could be relatively anonymous here. That was all she really wanted---to be free.

Second in the Moonlight Ridge series that follows the three adopted Holloway brothers, it's Grey's time to come back and help out with their father's resort. Still dealing with the emotional fallout from the car accident the three brothers were in fifteen years ago, Grey only comes back home a few times a year and likes his quiet predictable life in New York running his green architect company. He's clamped down on his emotions ever since the car accident and maintains his calm, if pessimistic outlook on life. When his brother asks him to help out with the wedding side of the resort, he's not looking forward to it, especially since the wedding planner seems to always be optimistic and full of sunshine.

Something about being alone with Grey made her nervous, but excited.

Dealing with the fallout of her ex-fiancee backing out of their wedding with only three days to spare three months ago and her Hollywood producer father being in the news for allegedly sexually harassing actresses, Autumn is determined to still keep a smile on her face and live in the moment. When the her bestfriend Molly, the manager at the Moonlight Ridge resort she's contracted to help host weddings at, says that Grey Holloway is going to help her, take some of the face time as the wedding part of the resort to try and stop the cancellations happening because of Autumn's notoriety, she's sad but understands. Grey's the grumpy brother but when she see's him doing shirtless push-ups on his front porch, she can't help but find herself attracted.

Autumn challenged him, but when she did, it was just about getting to the heart of the matter. And with her, everything was simply more enjoyable.

I would suggest reading book one (Homecoming Heartbreaker) in the series, the author does a great job summarizing the Holloway's and their issues but you'd miss a lot of the emotional components if you just started here. This works as a bridge book for the series, the mystery of who is embezzling money from the resort is continued, a lot to the side, but brings in a forensic accountant to help keep it in readers minds and move it a little farther along. The car accident that distanced the brothers wasn't as heavy an emotional component here, Grey talks about how he works to keep an even keel in his emotions and life so as not to cause damage, he blames himself for Mack losing control of the truck and Travis getting hurt enough to lose football scholarships. For the most part though, this was lighter and more breezy with Grey and Autumn being wary of one another at first, getting a bit flirty, and then fairly quickly hitting the sheets.

She was allowing herself to fall and that wasn't a good idea.

The ending with Autumn dealing with her father's issues affecting her own life felt like fairly emotionally heavy issues and I was a little disappointed in how fast and quick it ultimately got brushed away; felt like a opportunity to give some heft to the story. Grey's emotional journey, learning not to blame himself for the accident, felt like a lighter version of his brother Mack's from book one. These two were set-up to be grumpy and sunshine but they mostly gelled right away and only had a little angst at the end with Grey thinking over if he wanted to go back to New York or stay at the resort with his family.

“What do you want for your birthday?” He huffed the question into her ear.
“I want you to set my world on fire.”

This is Harlequin Desire so a good amount of the second half involves sexual escapades (skinny dipping!) but this couple still felt like they could hold a conversation outside of the bedroom, too. The Holloway dad, Jameson, has his pov and I'm really enjoying the budding relationship between him and his former housekeeper, turned nurse, Giada. The forensic accountant is in the picture now and I'm curious to see if my guess as to who is embezzling the money is correct. The third brother Travis is about to come home and I'm looking forward to him finding his love and the three brothers healing their relationship.

Optimist meets pessimist when it comes to believing in love and happy ever afters and it’s that dynamic that makes Best Laid Wedding Plans and Autumn and Grey’s romance completely enjoyable from the start—no false promises, just two people attracted to one another and acting on it.

description There’s nothing wrong with having fun, right?”

You won’t go far wrong with me with a grumpy soft hero, a strong determined heroine and a good dose of the steamy stuff, that’s exactly how I like my romance and I’m calling my first read from Karen Booth a resounding success. I now need to rewind and read the first book in the mini-series but having enjoyed this hugely I’m already looking forward to watching Grey’s brothers lose their hearts.

4 Stars!

My first visit to Moonlight Ridge was an absolute winner, it was also my first read from Karen Booth, but after enjoying Autumn and Grey's story so much it definitely won't be my last. Their story is actually the second book in the series, and although you can tell the stories are interconnected, this one can absolutely be read as a standalone.

I loved this couple, Autumn is the Resorts wedding planner and as such is firmly in the love and marriage fan group, even though her parents leaves a lot to be desired. Whereas Grey whose past is also less than a happy one family-wise is firmly in the no love or commitment group, until he meet's Autumn that is. This couple together had chemistry to spare, and weren't afraid to use it to their mutual satisfaction!

A great read, A newly discovered author for me, and I'm looking forward to reading more from her in the future.

This was a good opposites-attract story. Autumn is the wedding planner for Moonlight Ridge, but things aren't going so well for her. Her fiancé called off their wedding just days before it happened, thanks to her Hollywood producer, PR nightmare father's latest sexual misconduct scandal. This put Autumn front and center in the gossip rags, which affects her business, as brides begin to cancel their arrangements with her. She's confident she can recover if given a chance, but that chance comes with the supervision of Grey Holloway, one of the sons of her employer.

Grey is one of three brothers who were very close while growing up until a tragic accident tore them apart. Now they rarely speak unless it has something to do with their father. When he takes ill, each brother commits to spending a few months - separately - helping at the resort until he recovers. Mack came first, reconnected with his high school sweetheart, and decided to stay (Homecoming Heartbreaker). He also wants the brothers to reconcile, though it won't be easy. Grey accepts helping out for his father's sake but is none too happy about having to shadow the wedding planner.

I loved the first meeting between Autumn and Grey. Always an optimist, Autumn takes coffee and pastries to Grey's cabin, hoping to get off to a good start. She doesn't expect to find the handsome and sexy man exercising on the deck and be told he "doesn't do breakfast." Grey is honest that he doesn't believe in love and marriage and has no interest in following her around, but has no choice. Faced with Mr. Grumpy, Autumn lets her optimism bubble up, tells him that he doesn't know what he's missing, but she'll fill him in on everything he needs to know, even though she doesn't want him there either.

It doesn't take long for Grey to realize that the wedding problems are not Autumn's fault professionally. He's incredibly impressed with her abilities and has no trouble telling Mack so. I loved the support he gave her when confronted by an unpleasant mother-of-the-bride. He's fascinated and attracted to her, even though he knows he's going back to New York at the end of the summer. Autumn is equally attracted to Grey, and it isn't long before they give in to the heat between them. Neither expected the deeper feelings between them, and Grey fought especially hard against them. I loved his "aha" moment, and his big scene at the end was sweet and romantic.

A few other things are going on during this book. Mack and his father, Jameson, are trying to get everyone reunited and moved back to Moonlight Ridge. Mack tends to be a little heavy-handed, and Grey does not respond well, adding more stress. However, Grey agrees to design the new brewery on the resort grounds in time for Mack's wedding, which helps smooth things between the two brothers. There is also romance brewing between Jameson and his nurse/housekeeper, who have known each other for years. Giada is no pushover, and I like the sparks that fly between them.

Lastly, the resort isn't doing well financially, and Mack suspects someone is stealing from the resort. He had no luck finding who in the first book. The subject is lightly addressed in this one, with the secret presence of a forensic accountant on the property, but no conclusions are reached. I have my suspicions and can't wait to see if they are correct.

Although this is the second book in a trilogy, it can be read as a stand-alone. The heroine is Autumn Kincaid, daughter of an infamous movie director who is currently on trial for sexual harassment and assault (shades of Harvey Weinstein anyone?). She is currently a contract wedding planner for the Moonlight Ridge resort; kind of ironic since it was about 6 months before the book opens that her fiancé walked out on her and broke off the engagement mere weeks before the big day.

The hero is the second Holloway son, Grey. He took a working vacation to visit his adoptive dad at Moonlight Ridge and help his brother figure out how to financially save the family business. He is not into relationships due to his biological family being messed up assholes and the night of a tragic accident involving his adoptive brothers. His brother thinks it is a good idea for Grey to shadow Autumn to determine if she is 1) possibly embezzling money from the company and 2) whether Autumn is pulling in enough business to justify dealing with her name in the tabloids due to her ex-fiancé and dad.

Usually, I steer clear of office romances due to the power dynamics found in dating and sex in the workplace that makes me cringe (I just can't turn off my internal HR voice). However, Grey was not her boss and Autumn wasn't technically an employee of Moonlight Ridge in general. But the chemistry between them were very real as well as the professional competence. Autumn is not just a great wedding planner, she gets people - there were a few scenes when she was more of a confidante of the client than a taskmaster trying to keep an event on schedule. And Grey was highly impressed with her brains and personality, not just her looks. I wish Autumn had a little more respect for Grey's job as an architect and CEO of his firm. He lost an important employee due to not being there during the employment negotiations; Autumn and his brother talked him into handling the situation remotely and it blew up in his face.

The third act break up was very brief due to one of my favorite plot pivot tools - the horrible storm Mother Nature lays on the couple. It was a wonderful scene when they came back together that I was looking at a 4-star rating for this book. I am a sucker for couples that have to deal with Mother Nature and this was so well done - the heroine kept her agency and the hero showed he was done trying to pretend what they have together is a causal fling. SOOOO good - would re-read those scenes over and over again.

However, the ending (literally the last page or so) had the couple, who have known each other a total of 9 weeks, talking marriage. At her BFF's/his brother's wedding reception.

GRRRRRRRRR. WHY? A HFN (happy for now) ending would be more satisfying than this shoe-horned in, honestly awkward conversation while they were dancing at SOMEONE ELSE'S wedding. Noooooo. But Harlequin gonna Harlequin and shove these two down the aisle (or in this case, make it obvious to the reader that a wedding is in the near future) just because in Harlequin's world, endings require marriage and babies. Even though the heroine was less than a year out from the fall-out of her last engagement and hero had his business in NYC to see to/make adjustments to move to North Carolina. It didn't make sense to either character or plot. If it was just left at the couple together and in love it would work for me so much more than how it did end.

Thanks to the actions of her ex-fiancé and a family scandal Autumn’s career as a wedding planner is on the precipice. It is for this reason that she finds herself having to work with Grey, the son of the owner of Moonlight Ridge, as they need the events to prosper both for the sake of the resort and her job.

Grey owns an architectural company however due to his father’s health he finds himself helping out at Moonlight Ridge. There is no denying the chemistry between but between their very different views on love and marriage and the fact that he plans to return home in 30 days you know you are in for a bumpy ride.

I enjoyed seeing the evolution of Grey’s character as he realizes what truly matters in life is love and family while Autumn gets the support she deserves after all she has had to endure.

Loved Autumn and Grey’s romance. Autumn is a wedding planner at Moonlight Ridge and Grey’s father, Jameson, owns the North Carolina resort where she works. Due to Autumn’s father being in the news for sexual harassment, her business is taking a hit. Her and Grey work closely together, get to know one another and it’s just so sweet, very hot! I’m so in love with this trilogy. One more book to go which is by Reese Ryan and I’m excited to see how things wrap up.

Another strong entry in a winning series. I really liked the author's writing style, so I definitely need to read more books by Karen Booth.

This book is second in the Moonlight Ridge trilogy, and focuses on Grey Holloway. Like his brothers, Grey is still dealing with the fallout from the fateful accident 15 years prior that drove a wedge between the brothers. Grey is an architect, and normally spends his days in New York, but he's at Moonlight Ridge helping get the resort back on its feet after his father suffered a medical setback.

Just as in the first book, this entry shows us how that long-ago accident still affects the brothers today. I enjoyed seeing Grey and his brother Mack's steps toward rebuilding their relationship. One can also clearly see how the consequences of this wreck led Grey to focus on self-control and maintaining his cool at all costs.

I loved seeing how wedding planner Autumn Kincaid got under his skin from their very first meeting. Despite a broken engagement and a scandal-plagued family, Autumn has a fairly optimistic view of life. She challenges Grey and pulls him out of his shell a bit without being obnoxious. Their romance is flirty and a touch lighter than the first book in this series, but that tone fit both their personalities and their story.

Moonlight Ridge has plenty going on, so I felt like some of the drama involving Autumn's father was a bit unnecessary. However, aside from that, I greatly enjoyed this book.

It was supposed to be just a fling!

Grey is only hope for a few months to help out his recovering father. Autumn is a wedding player who was left practically at the alter and has a PR nightmare for a father. Both could use a little fun…and love.

I love a good it was just supposed to be a fling romance and Grey’s and Autumn’s was delicious. From the immediate attraction, to his defense of her, and her lightening influence on him The Best Laid Wedding Plans hit all the right notes.

I’m so excited for Travis’s story!

Feisty and fierce, Autumn Kincaid is tired of taking emotional blows. Left standing at the altar she now finds her job as a wedding planner is on the line. In walks grumpy, swoony Grey Holloway, and to say her life is upended, is certainly an understatement.
This novel is a battle of the believers against the unbelievers, in love and happy-ever-afters.
It is filled with witty dialogue coming off characters that are emotionally grounded that you cannot help but get caught up in the roller-coaster of the easy and effortless narrative.
Five worthy stars.

This is the second book in the Autumn Ridge Series and the first book I've read in the series. This was a great book that caught my attention right at the beginning and it was hard to put down. Talk about opposites, she's so positive and upbeat while he' s Mr. Grumpy. But you know what they say about opposites. Their chemistry was magical and it doesn't take them long to create a little steam. A fun book with great characters and a page turning story. I read an arc via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to write a review.

Best Laid Wedding Plans is the second book in the Moonlight Ridge continuity series about three adoptive brothers returning home to Asheville, North Carolina to take care of their father and his resort after he suffers a brain episode. The story focuses on middle son Grey Holloway and wedding planner Autumn Kincaid, who just so happens to be the daughter of Hollywood’s latest persona non grata.

Fifteen years ago, a car accident tore the once inseparable Holloway brothers apart. Since then, each has gone their separate ways and not spoken to each other, unless it involved their father, Jameson, and even then the conversations were short and stilted. With Jameson still recovering, each brother has agreed to return home and look after him and the business, though at different times. Older brother Mack (Homecoming Heartbreaker) returned first and discovered someone was stealing money from the business. While Grey is in town, he is to oversee the investigation and learn about the wedding planning side of the resort, since bookings are down dramatically.

Putting Grey in charge of overseeing the wedding aspect of the business is laughable since Mr. Detached, Mr. Calm, Cool, and Collected is a non-believer in love and/or marriage. In recent months, Autumn has been through the wringer. Due to her father’s scandal and multiple transgressions, Autumn’s life has been put in the spotlight. As a result, brides who wanted to have their weddings at Moonlight Ridge have decided to go elsewhere. Autumn has even been left at the altar. Through everything, Autumn still believes in love and that one day love will find her.

Best Laid Wedding Plans is an opposites-attract romance. Grey and Autumn are good characters and are good for each other, in that they balance each other out. Though I would never taunt a person who controls my future and dreams in their hands the way Autumn did during her first-ever meeting with Grey. Grey is still struggling big time with what happened fifteen years ago. Even years later, I can see how the heavy-handedness of Mack pushes Grey’s buttons. The romance found in this story is good. I loved that the growing feelings between Autumn and Grey snuck up on them. The grand gesture moment is definitely a romantic movie moment. The cross-over mystery of the missing money wasn’t really touched upon. Though I do think a little more was subtlety revealed. This series contains a seasoned romance! I’m excited that things between Jameson and his nurse/former housekeeper Giada are heating up.

I’m looking forward to the conclusion of this series. Just a Little Married is written by Reese Ryan and features the youngest Holloway, Travis who without a doubt has the biggest chip on his shoulder as a result of what happened with the brothers all those years ago.

Four and a half stars

Best-Laid Wedding Plans by Karen Booth is part of the Moonlight Ridge multi-author continuity series from Harlequin Desire.

Autumn Kincaid is working her dream job as a wedding planner and coordinator for the gorgeous Moonlight Ridge resort. She gets to spend time with her BFF, Molly, and the resort owner, Jameson Holloway, is a kind and considerate boss. All this and her sunny attitude help when her father’s boorish and criminal public behavior drags her down in its undertow.

Grey Holloway is one of Jameson’s sons and is tasked with helping Autumn cope with the upheaval her unwanted publicity is causing for the resort and her position.

The typically staid Grey finds himself charmed by Autumn and in return, Autumn realizes Grey’s gruff exterior hides a soft heart.

Karen Booth’s characters are well written and likable. Best-Laid Wedding Plans is a delightful page-turner.

Harlequin Desire fans will not be able to resist Karen Booth's enjoyable new novel, Best Laid Wedding Plans, the second stand-alone title in the new Moonlight Ridge trilogy.

Autumn Kincaid has lost everything. Not only did she have to endure the humiliation of being left at the altar, but her job as a wedding planner at Moonlight Ridge is also in jeopardy. Having lost so much already, Autumn is not about to lose her job as well. She will do whatever it takes to ensure that she keeps her job, however, the determined wedding planner hadn't banked on one major obstacle standing in her way: billionaire Grey Holloway, whose family owns the resort!

Grey Holloway does not believe in romance. The cynical billionaire doesn't have much time for happy endings and fairytale weddings and with iron-clad defenses erected around his heart, Grey is positive that he isn't going to be changing his mind any time soon - until he meets Autumn Kincaid. Sparks begin to fly between the two of them from the moment they clap eyes on one another. Giving into temptation quickly proves inevitable, but when it transpires that one night together is nowhere near enough, Grey wonders whether the unthinkable has happened and he has ended up falling head over heels in love with Autumn!

Will Autumn finally find the happy ever after she has long been searching for? Or will her affair with Grey end up being another best-laid plan that will go awry?

Karen Booth turns up the heat with Best Laid Wedding Plans! Sexy, witty and intensely emotional, Karen Booth dazzles her readers with brilliant repartee, sizzling sensuality, red-hot passion and a love story that will touch the heart and keep readers eagerly turning the pages.

A terrific read from a fan favorite writer, Karen Booth's Best Laid Wedding Plans is not to be missed!

Autumn Kincaid has an infamous father whose very existence has repeatedly threatened her job, leaving her facing an ultimatum – she has to bring a big-dollar wedding to the Moonlight Ridge resort or she’s done working for them. Worse, Grey Holloway, adopted son of the owner of the resort, will be working with her to make sure that she’s the best choice to help arrange weddings at the resort. Love and romance aren’t on her personal radar any more than they’re on Grey’s, but the chemistry between them is going to make everything a challenge!

Best Laid Wedding Plans nails the Desire ideals of luxury, wealth, scandal and fame. The romance between Autumn and Grey is strong, and I loved watching Grey come to appreciate Autumn for the woman she was and her skills, which so often went unacknowledged. Booth’s talents in realistic dialogue, sympathetic characters, and making everyday, down-to-earth conflicts shine even in the most overpowering surroundings, making Best Laid Wedding Plans a fun and fast read. There’s a lot of intricate wedding detail, and family is a strong theme throughout, but it’s the romance that really shines, with a gradual development of an emotionally compelling relationship and a heart-warming end.

As the second story in the Moonlight Ridge series, the book fit perfectly into the overarching storyline, bringing in familiar characters and continuing the threads introduced in the first book, though I do think readers who haven’t read the first book would have no problem enjoying the story.

It's Grey's turn for his HEA. Grey, 33, and Autumn, 32, meet at the Moonlight Ridge where Autumn works as a wedding planner far from L.A. and her father. She was left at the altar and publicly humiliated which is now affecting the weddings being booked through her for Moonlight Ridge.

I liked the friendship between Molly and Autumn. Grey has returned reluctantly to help out because of Jameson's ongoing recovery. Sparks fly when Grey and Autumn meet. I like it that Autumn wears glasses, though the cover doesn't show her wearing them. There are some steamy, sexy scenes as well as funny skinny dipping scene.

There is of course the ongoing storyline of the accident the three brothers were in and aftermath that has kept them avoiding each other as well as trying to discover who is embezzling. This really is what ties all three books together.

Grey was grumpy, standoffish, and not really her boss. He was the one who kept his cool, yet he didn't during the accident and this has kept him from making any attachments since. Autumn feels horrible when an important wedding reservation was canceled because of her reputation and her father's. She is not the spoiled, pampered L.A. girl; she is trustworthy, hardworking, and trying to make it on her own. And then her father tries to draw her back in.

Note: I received an advance reading copy. I have read, purchased, and enjoyed other books by this author.

Best Laid Wedding Plans is part of the Moonlight Ridge series with Joss Wood and Reese Ryan, but can be read as a stand alone. This is Autumn and Grey's story of Summer fling to happily ever after. Autumn is a wedding planner extraordinaire who has had a rough time lately because her fiance left her practically at the altar and her father is a notorious Hollywood producer who is accused of sexual harassment. Living in his shadow is creating havoc with her career so she has cut ties with her family but the tabloids won't let it go. Grey and his two foster brothers were involved in a horrible accident in their youth that caused a rift in their relationship but now that their dad has health issues, each has agreed to return home to help save the family resort. Grey's task is to find the financial disparities and help save the wedding portion of the business. Grey refuses to let emotions control his life so when he meets Autumn, it is a struggle to keep their relationship fun, friendly and temporary. Working together draws them closer but each must resolve their issues in order to find the love they both are unknowingly seeking. This is a great story filled with passion, drama, fun and tears.

I received an advanced reader copy from the publisher but all thoughts and feelings are my own.

I loved getting to know Autumn more and she really is the perfect match for Grey whether either of them realize it or not. I love how this series is not only about each of the three Holloway sons finding there match (and maybe someone else too ;) ) but also about a fractured family coming together and finally dealing with past events that made three close brothers become estranged. Grey doesn't want to be home but it is his turn to stay and overlook things at Moonlight Ridge while his father still recovers from a medical event and learning he has to oversee the event planner does nothing to make it better but he i in for a surprise when he meets Autumn just as she is with him, they both have strong work ethic and no time for love especially not Autumn when her life is pretty well falling apart around her due to being ditched before her wedding and a famous father who she has put distance between so she can be seen as her own person. This was a fantastic read with plenty of laughs many including Grey's Dad as well as romance, remembering family isn't only made by blood and that you can have it all if you really want it!

And just like that, another Holloway brother has gone and stolen my heart. Like Mack, Grey values control above all things, and love is messy, out of control, and he’s only ever seen it end in hurt. Autumn is a romantic optimist. Life has tried to beat her down, but she just keeps getting back up and trying again. With those outlooks, this pair should be the definition of “opposites”, and maybe that’s a large part of why they light up so many sparks when they’re together. Differing outlooks certainly doesn’t stop the attraction from blossoming between them. I loved watching Grey learn how to let go a little and let his family love him. And, while I appreciated that Autumn wanted to stay clear of the mess with her father, I didn’t enjoy the way it felt like she just rolled over and let him get away with his bad behavior. The vindictive parts of me wanted to see justice done for how badly he’d hurt her. There’s still at least one question left that we’re looking for the answer to. I’m hoping that the final book will reveal all.

3.5-stars for Best Laid Wedding Plans by Karen Booth
This is another well written book from Harlequin Desire which tend to be on the steamier side however I found Best Laid Wedding Plans to be not heavy but milder on the steam. While Grey & Autumn did engage in some sexy hookups, the book didn't go into detail for many on these scenes and I definitely have read much more descriptive steamy scenes. With that being said, Grey & Autumn's chemistry did show through & they had some witty banter but again I have read books with more. Personally I also felt the last few chapters seemed rush especially given how much Grey & Autumn's character grew & were developed throughout the book. Even though I would give the author an A+ for characters development, but from the Harlequin Desire line I would have expected a bit more but I really liked Grey and how his character was portrayed. Overall, I enjoyed the book and would recommend reading to decide for yourself.
Even though I did receive an advanced review copy of this book, I am voluntarily leaving my own unsolicited opinion with my voluntary review.

Autumn is a wedding planner who was unfortunate enough to be dumped days away from her wedding and be the daughter of a prominent man in Hollywood who is being investigated for sexual harassment, when every so often a tabloid or online story appears they can't leave her out of it, which is affecting her work.
Grey has returned to Asheville and Moonlight Ridge Resort to help for a couple of months while his adopted dad gets over ill health. His adopted brother Matt had returned, fell in love, married and decided to stay, while Grey was there only until Thanksgiving then Travis would be helping for a while.
Grey was asked to help with the wedding side of the resorts business. Ugh!! he had no interest in love, marriage or HEA's and Autumn didn't relish the idea of someone watching over her shoulder, but she's a glass half full kinda girl so she'll try to make this work.
They're not enemies but they're not friends instantly either, however there is definitely chemistry there.

Opposites attract and weave a delightful tale in the second book in the Moonlight Ridge series! In BEST LAID WEDDING PLANS Karen Booth brings the second Holloway brother home to Moonlight Ridge to support their dad during recovery from a health crisis. The characters are fresh and endearing and each has a back story that lays a nice foundation to their growth and development. I'm really enjoying this series and look forward to the last book in the trilogy!

Autumn is sincere and believes in happily ever after even though life has handed her a lemon in the past. She's a joy to watch guide Grey towards believing love can last.

Grey is an all around nice guy, but he doesn't believe in love and happily ever after because he's lived the other side. Seeing him reconnect with his sense of home and family and along the way learn a different side of love is really heartwarming.

I highly recommend this book and the entire series to anyone who enjoys watching a shattered family reconnect and support each other as each brother finds love.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily posting a review. All opinions are my own.

Best Laid Wedding Plans is the second in the multi-author Moonlight Ridge series. It can be read as a stand-alone, although you do get more background on the family dynamics in the first book.

Overall, I thought this one was fine. I particularly liked Autumn, who had a lot of determination to succeed in her job as a wedding planner, and she’s also dealing with the negative headlines around her father’s sexual harassment case and its impact on her business.

Grey did leave me cold though. He’s the typical “grump who doesn’t believe in love,” and Autumn’s the polar opposite. I did like seeing them interact, but I struggled to really warm up to him along with her.

This is the weaker of the two in the series for me thus far, but I understand this is very much a matter of taste. If you love the grumpy/sunshine dynamic, and enjoy contemporary romance/Harlequin Desire on a regular basis, you’ll probably enjoy this.

Pleasant, easy to read novel 3.5*
The romance between Autumn, a wedding planner, a victim of her father's notoriety and Grey, a workaholic architect and a staunch opponent of anything beyond a one-night stand may seem hard to imagine but it is a slow-burning friends-with-benefits kind of arrangement. The writing needs editing in places and the characters were rather shallow. When the story describes pages justifying the character's determined intentions, yet in less than half a page, they bend to the will of another to do the exact opposite, that to me indicates an impressionable character. Several times throughout the book, there were mentions of an accident that proved to be life-changing for the brothers yet we never do find out how and in what way was it was life-changing. There is a pleasant HEA, which was rather fast, without adequate time for the storyline progression to be completely realistic. Nevertheless an easy-to-read book, good for a holiday, poolside read.

This is the second book in a 3 book series. I did not read book one but still understood the three brothers drama.
This book can standalone with no cliffhangers.
Grey is adopted along with his 2 brothers. A fight between the brothers when they where younger has torn them apart and sent them away from home. Now back home to help the family business Grey is struggling with guilt about his brothers and his feelings for Autumn. He knows love isn't real, so that can't be what he's feeling.
Autumn has grown up with crap parents and her fathers crazy public life in Hollywood is affecting her life and career. Moving away from him hasn't stopped the reporters from writing about her and destroying her life. Now Grey has been sent to help her with her wedding planning job, the man hates love! Boy is he nice to look at thou.
Can they have a no strings affair while Grey is in town?
Now we all know how this is going to end, but the trip there is a fun and entertaining read. Well worth your time.

This is the second book in this trilogy and it was good too..we now get to know more about Mack's brother Grey. He is another one that doesn't want to let anyone in. When he gets to Moonlight Ridge to help with this dad he is thrown in to work with Autumn, the wedding planner. Because of her dad and who he is it is bringing Moonlight Ridge through the mud and she is losing weddings. So Mack asks Grey to help Autumn. She first meets him and she just tells him how it is..It is quite funny to see how their relationship unfolds. I love how Autumn has back bone and just keeps moving on but when she is planning a wedding she is all in! There are sparks between Grey and Autumn. They fight them as long as they can but there is just so much you can fight! But can Grey figure out he can love and not push Autumn or his family away? A great story that I laughed and I even cried. I also love that Jameson and Giada were more prevelant in this story..he is like a love struck teenager! I could see Mack and Molly's wedding too! So sweet!

Autumn Kincaid has had her heart broken by many people including her parents. After being dumped because of her Hollywood producer fathers harassment suits, Autumn now finds her job as a wedding planner in jeopardy.

Enter Grey Holloway, one of Jameson Holloway’s three adopted sons to help Mack (his adopted brother) get the resort back up and profitable as well as get the new barn brewery operational before Mack & Molly’s upcoming wedding.

Sparks are present between Grey and Autumn, but Autumn is a romantic and Grey doesn’t believe in love and happy ever after s due to his life before Jameson adopted him. Can these two find their HEA????

Absolutely, and I loved their banter, chemistry and conversations before Grey broke Autumn’s heart. But all it took to reunite this couple was Grey missing Autumn and a violent storm to rip through their area while Autumn is driving and grey fears he will lose her.

This is book two in The Moonlight Ridge Series and it is Autumn and Grey's story and it is a must read. Autumn is a wedding planner but when she is left at the altar and her father caused a scandal her business has taken a bit hit but she will do everything possible to get it back on track. Grey is a grumpy but handsome man and his family own a resort where Autumn does her wedding planner business so when she starts struggling because of what happened he decides to work with her to help the resort and her business but even though they have strong chemistry between them he will not do anything about it as he doesn't believe in love of do commitment. I absolutely loved this book and I couldn't put it down as it was a real page turner. I have read many books by Karen Booth and I have enjoyed every single one of them and look forward to reading more of her books in the future.
