He burns for her…but she doesn’t feel the same.

Marvin Brewster has always known he wants to help people. A volunteer firefighter, he is well accustomed to danger and taking chances where others would not. His priority is taking care of the citizens of Cinnamon Bay in the only way he knows how: risking his life by diving into the fire. Things change when he sets his sights on Shiloh, the newest volunteer on his team. Not only is Shiloh beautiful, but she knows what she wants from life.

And unfortunately, it isn’t Marvin.

Shiloh Salcido is a newly minted single mother by circumstance, with a laser like focus on how she wants her future to look. She has a kid to look after now and a career to nurture. She doesn’t have time for love, especially not with a man like Marvin. Still, with each sweet word and wicked smile, she finds herself considering him. Except he wants everything and refuses to settle for a little fun between the sheets. Best to stay away from him.

With each slow seduction, Shiloh falls a little more, risking her heart, her future, and maybe even her life. Who is to blame, and is it too late to change her mind?

Thanks for visiting my profile! I'm a new Contemporary (small-town) and Paranormal Romance author who loves writing about flawed heroines and the heroes who love them. I've been writing since I was in third grade, and love to read about anything with a little romance and a lot of magic!

Although my TBR list is long, there are a few awesome books on there that deserve a third, fourth even fifth read through! Those are the stories that never get old.

I'd love it if you'd add my books to your TBR shelf and give this author a try! If you want to find out more about me, click over to my website: http://www.breaviragh.com

This is a fab read. It will make you laugh, it will make you cry and it will have you sighing. This is Shiloh and Marvin’s story and it’s a fiery one with warmth, heartache, a little snark, a little sass and a whole lotta steam. The folks from Cinnamon bay are incredible and treat everyone as if they are family and will help at the drop of a hat and is a place I would love to visit!

Control the Burn by Brea Viragh is part of the Cinnamon Bay series by various authors. While this book is a standalone we get to see some old friends too!

We come back to Cinnamon Bay with Marvin, Shiloh and her 10 yr old nephew, Tim. Volunteer firefighters, divorce, heartache, family, chemistry and so much more. Cinnamon Bay is the place where everyone is family!!

Both Shiloh and Marvin had chips on their shoulders. She is stubborn, seems to think she knows what's right, doesn't want to ask for help even though she needs it, and since her controlling ex handled all the finances doesn't know how to manage money. I was surprised she would sign up to train to be a volunteer fight fighter when she has a recently orphaned nephew to take care of. What if something happened her to while dealing with a fire. Also, she worried about having enough money to buy food, I would think she would pick up a paying job instead. I don't blame Marvin for being hard on the training. It's dangerous work as his missing eyebrows show. Marvin jumps to conclusions several times with Shiloh. He saw her leave without completing the program ten years ago and acts like he's just waiting for her to bail again. When Tim is suspended from school he thinks she's going to quit. He sees her with her ex and thinks she's getting back with him. I laughed about matchmakers and the love spice.

Shiloh and Marvin both have strong personalities and often jump to conclusions without the facts and then get stubborn even when they know they should back down. I really felt for Shiloh and how she was so close to regaining control of her life when a devastating loss changes the direction of her life once again. Fortunately Cinnamon Bay has the matchmakers on hand who have decided that Shiloh and Marvin are their next couple to get together so with the help of some gentle nudging, Cafe Amour as well as the community showing Shiloh she doesn't have to do it alone. Bit is that enough for Shiloh and Marvin or will their stubbornness stop them from finally declaring how much they actually do care for each other? Best you read it to find out ;)

Control the Burn ~ A Cinnamon Bay Romance by Brea Viragh.
And we are back in the bay:) A new set of stories are about to unfold in Cinnamon Bay, though we do still have our lovely matchmakers to hand making an appearance.
A beautifully written story from Brea, who draws you in from the very beginning until the final line.
Brea's storytelling is so good that you feel that the characters and the town are real.

In Control the Burn we met Blazers the volunteering firefighters of the bay. There is Marvin, who makes it his mission to protect the citizens of Cinnamon Bay, he also works at the Bank. We also have our heroin Shiloh, back in the bay after her divorce to take care of her nephew, and sets her mind and heart to become a volunteer firefighter.
Can she run the course? Can Shiloh and Marvin work out their attraction? Will they get a HEA?

Please purchase the book and join me in falling in love with the town folk of Cinnamon Bay.
Thank you, Brea, for the ARC, this is my honest review, and I'm glad to be back in the bay:)

Take a woman who was married to a total control freak, give her freedom to make her own decisions then tell her she has to raise her 10 yr old nephew after her sisters sudden death. Toss in her dream to be a volunteer firefighter, a whale-sized chip on her shoulder towards men, a very sexy fireman who is the recruit trainer, and just when things can't get worse there's the tantrums of a grieving child and to round things off, the ex who divorced her changes his mind.
Put all that together and throw in three meddling matchmakers and you have a wonderful way to spend a few hours in beautiful Cinnamon Bay. I always have a smile after visiting this amazing little seaside town and its colourful characters.

A Cinnamon Bay Romance story that held my interest until the end. Marvin Brewster and divorced Shiloh Salcido and her orphan nephew Tim’s story I enjoyed seeing their story come together with the meddling of the women who form the trio of trouble, and Nana Bee. A story I found to be well worth reading. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Shiloh is the newest firefighter at Cinnamon Bay when she meets Marvin who is also a firefighter. He is crazy about her but she does not have time for a romance with her job and raising her nephew but along comes the matchmakers who make sure that Shiloh and Marvin are given plenty of time together.
