Rate this book
Dark personalities are always waiting in the dark hidden from their prey and if you don’t see them first, they will come find you. The power of manipulation is always a taboo topic in our society. Manipulating people can be done in a thousand different ways and numerous tactics, yet mainstream psychology never directly talks about them, until now. The facts are often sugarcoated using terms that make them sound OK. But is it really ok? If you want to be able to decide for yourself and never second guess whether or not you are in control of your own life, this book will give you the confidence to rest in your complete knowledge about the world. You never have to regret why you missed this bit of information that could save your life or someone you care about. If you’re not careful, you or someone you know may fall victim to narcissists, psychopaths, and expert manipulators. In your everyday life and work, you meet all kinds of people. Some of them have good intentions and some don’t. To be able to live good lives and be the good leaders our communities need us to be, we must learn to see beyond the masks some people put up. Even if you think you know a lot about people, you probably don’t and there’s a lot more to discover about them and even within yourself. Stay one step ahead of anyone who didn’t get to uncover the hidden gems in this book. They are either easy victims or clever victimizers. With this book, you choose to be better and wiser than any of that.

Was just very interested to see wth this was. Was expecting maybe a red-pill manual or something. Ended up being more useful than I predicted. Pretty good breakdown of triad traits, and very pleased with the authors focus on finding help if you are living through any manipulative relationships (even if you're the baddie)

Too short

It was interesting in some areas, but the author
kept driving home the moral agenda on behalf of the reader, I came to learn about manipulators and did so, but don’t require to be lectured as to my moral compass.

It was fine but felt it was disappointingly short.

Could've provided far more examples & techiques. I wish they expanded more into tangible situations & countermeasures. Sorry, but not sorry....

interesting but

Interesting book. I would put 5 stars but the bonus link doesn’t work, which is a bit dissatisfying after all.
