Holy wild ride! What a savage beast Logan Fox unleashed! Savage Hero rendered me speechless. Seriously! The title doesn’t do the savage part justice. Savage Hero is a fire-breathing dragon. Jaw-dropping ... pulse-pounding ... nail-biting ... pure exhilaration in prose! This book is an explosion that detonated before my eyes. I could do nothing but succumb to the heart-thrashing flames.
Set in the Colombian cartel world, this is the tale of an all alpha drug lord and his sassy assassin. Deliciously dominant, dark and downright depraved. The all alpha anti-hero with his dirty mouth and the fighter heroine clash and combust. Nyx and Savage are fire together, burning in a heady mix of heat, hate, and heart, and I felt their connection surge through the pages.
Savage Hero is a movie that plays in your head while reading, a fast-paced, emotional thriller, an adrenaline rush of a read. I wholeheartedly surrendered to this story that should come with a warning label: Dark, depraved, but oh so deliciously addictive if you dare to devour this savage beast. I burned for this book. Pure pulse-pounding pleasure.

I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. I've three books by Logan so far and have enjoyed everyone. Savage hero is on the mafia side. Savage is cruel, he's calculating, hes also a protector. Nyx is one bad ass chick. She fights back and can handle herself. I can't wait for next book to see what happens.

This was my first book by Logan Fox, but I will be diving into her previous books while I impatiently wait for the next book in this series.
Nyx is a hired assassin out on a job that takes a few dramatic turns, and lands her in the clutches of the son of her target. Nyx is all fire and sass, and had no qualms about going toe to toe with the son of the Capo of the Domingo Cartel. She does however become ensnared by him the moment she lays eyes on his throat tattoo.
Caesar is full of all the dark and twisty things I love in an anti-hero, he’s devilishly alpha, and wields it as a weapon and his quick brain allows him to switch to another well thought out plan at the drop of a dime.
The second they touch it sends them catapulting down a path neither of them could have planned for, their chemistry is pure fire, and the words they share fuels it. Threats and sass seem to do nothing more than make Nyx and Caesar burn more for one another.
Savage Hero ensnared me into this world in the very first chapter and I didn’t stop until I read the last word. An all-consuming blend of combustible chemistry, a deviously dark anti-hero, a sassy heroine, heart stopping suspense, a touch of feels, and steam hot enough to start a wildfire.

Nyx then decides to abort the entire operation that would take place in a restaurant, but when she tries to escape from the place, she ends up overhearing a conversation on the phone and soon realized that in a few minutes the place would become the target of shots by the rival mafia.

This is the first book in the A Crime Family Affair series and follows Savage and Nyx. Savage is the son of a drug lord and known for his violence and cold heart. Nyx is a freelance assassin and her target is Savage's father. When the hit goes terribly wrong, she is thrown into Savage's sights and becomes his. Nyx has family to take care of and a lot to lose and Savage is unsure of what to do with the woman that doesn't back down. They are like oil and water but it plays out so well here.
This one ends on a cliffhanger and if you have triggers there are definitely elements of violence and dub/con. While I liked both characters, I found myself wondering if Nyx was too much for Savage. He needed a little more alpha umph in my opinion. That being said, I also thought Nyx was too hard...I was missing some of those more delicate traits. Overall, a decent and steamy mafia romance.

Oh My God.
I didnt realize how much I needed a book like this until I started reading it. Nyx is such a cool character. I really admired her strength, like her literal strength shes a trained boxer and sure put Savage on his butt a few times.
Nyx is a hitman and when a job goes bad she comes face to face with someone, Savage, who is basically her mirror. Too bad he is her intended victim's son. As much as he wants her dead he saves her time and time again.
But like he doesn't save her in the sweet prince way. He does it his way, the savage way. Those two gave as good as they got. And had some heavy dub con. I was here for it.
The cliffhanger ending had me asking what the hell is going on. I really hope the next book is coming out like tomorrow. Just kidding I'm not that crazy.

This was a very different romance for me. It’s starts out with a hit on a notorious crime boss and turns into a huge shootout.
Nyx is all fire and ice and I loved how nothing scared her. She was simply fearless. Savage is jumping off the page with his badass reputation and good looks. He clearly can’t handle Nyx and they’re trying to hurt each other almost the entire book.
There was some chemistry, but it was toxic and dangerous. They were a little to rough with each in my opinion. And this story is a cliffhanger.
I do recommend if you like messy, complicated crime family romance.

Wow, this was so well written, i was hooked immediately!
The story was gripping, full of action and suspense. I just loved how the characters were introduced to us, we quickly learned how Savage is your typical anti-hero, his chemistry and sexual tension with Nyx was super hot!! I liked the fact that Nyx was not your typical heroine, yeah she had a vulnerable side, but she was tough and didn't back down despite all the threats and violence! She really gave Savage a run for his money!
That ending had me on the edge of my seat and has raised so many questions about what is going on in the plot? I literally cannot wait for the next instalment!
If you are after a fast paced, intense and action filled dark romance then you need to start this series!

Freelance Assassin - Nyx's (FMC) problems start in this book when one of her jobs gets complicated and she get stuck in the middle of gang war. With her only ally being the son of the guy she was trying to assassinate - Savage. Nyx is one hell of a character. Smart A***d and Bad*** too and the banter between her & Savage made me laugh. They certainly rub each other up the wrong way of the right one depending on how you look at it. I did love the dynamic between the two of them though. It made for a great read, dark in places & with that ending im looking forward to the next book now. This one was so bloody good

I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. Its flipping intense and dominating. It quickly grab my attention with a blast of explosive emotions from fear to excitement as danger and violence soar through page after page with a twisted mix of hot prickly chemistry that is insanely addictive and brought out bouts of laughter from a little firecracker that doles out punishing defensive foreplay getting me hyped up even more throughout this twisted page turner. A fantastic story with a shocking cliffy that has me addicted needing more.

The heroine in this story, Nyx, is sassy, snarky, and can hold her own. She is on a mission against the Capo, and when that mission is quashed, she ends up in the grip of Savage and his crime family. Savage thinks this young petite female will be easy to control and manipulate, but oh he has a few lessons to learn about misjudging someone's abilities or strengths.
This couple goes round and round, lust to angst, fighting to passion, wanting to kiss and then wanting to fight.
Very compelling story and I cannot wait to see what happens in book 2.

This was a fast read that was packed with action. I love Logan Fox’s writing. This is my third book by her and I gotta say that she knows exactly how to make her heroes deliciously dark. What first attracted me to the story was Nyx. It’s not everyday that I stumble upon a hitwoman, I’ve read plenty of books where the hero is a hitman but this is the first time I read about a hitwoman heroine. Oh Nyx was a badass and when I say a badass I really. mean. it. She didn’t take shit from no one, least of all Savage. Nope, she didn’t submit to Savage easily, not without giving her two cents first. This girl is a real survivor. Savage and her were equal in so many ways and this is something I really appreciated in the story. They were also quite...violent. Those two fought like hell but the thing is, Nyx never cowered (in fact she was almost always the first to initiate said fights). My girl knew how to throw her punches. She also knew how to handle Savage. They were both crazy, hotheaded and downright wild together but somehow, in their own way they just made total sense together. His crazy to her crazy. I loved seeing them try to fight off their obvious attraction for one another, their chemistry was undeniable and left me panting and wanting more. I seriously cannot wait to find out what else is in store for those two because my god that ending...I need answers.

What the heck did I just read? If you like dark, twisted heroes and have no triggers with violence and non-consent/dub consent Savage Hero is the book for you. Nyx is raising her two younger sisters on her own, trying to keep the evils of the world away from them. Nyx is also a freelance assassin hoping for one last hit before she retires. First our heroine is a woman doing a job usually done by men. Second she is a small woman and a boxer, another stereotype breaker. She is a great fighter and doesn't give up easily. Caesar "Savage" Domino(Caesar ‘El Savaje’ Domingo) is the son of a cartel Capo in Florida. He has a history and reputation for violence. His father, Capo Bryan Domingo, was to be Nyx's last hit.
When the hit goes awry, Nyx tries to warn those around her of a drive by that she overhears. This alerts Savage and Bryan which saves their lives. Now she is in the clutches of the cartel. Neither Nyx nor Savage do relationships and fight the attraction they fell towards one another. These two both have very violent tempers and enjoy a good fight. Savage learns very quickly to not underestimate Nyx. She quickly racks up several injuries on Savages body.
At the beginning I wasn't sure where this story was going but I was pulled by their fights and kept reading to figure out the mystery and to see what would happen to this couple. We don't know a lot about either Savage or Nyx but they are slowly revealed. We are still left with plenty of questions though. Savage Hero definitely qualifies as a dark romance and if you like that then I suggest this book. Not only romance but also twists, mysteries, intrigue, betrayals and questionable motives move the plot along. The book does end on a juicy cliffhanger so beware. This is my first book by author Logan Fox. So Logan we want the 2nd book now!

So this is the first time I have read a book by Logan Fox and I just gotta say that I freaking loved it. I think it was because Nyx is a tough girl and knows how to fight. It also helps that she is a hired assassin so yeah she is amazing. I love it when I read a character who can fight. So yeah this book had my adrenaline pumping and heart racing. Nyx is resourceful and knows her surroundings. So when she backs out of her contract for the moment she senses something else is a foot. Then we have Savage who immediately knows that she is not a man and wants to know what she is up to. She ends up doing to something she did not expect and now she is in Savages crosshairs. She puts up a good fight and this intrigues Savage not just because she can hold her own but he is also attracted to her. There chemistry is hot but short lived because she has other obligations. Nyx also takes care of her sisters and makes sure they have wait they need. She tries to keep her work away from them as much as possible. Then something else happens and now she needs help. This book ends in a cliffhanger and I was like oh no. This is not good. Now I cannot wait for the next book in this series.

This is the first book I’ve read by the author and I definitely will be checking out more of her work!! She writes well developed characters and heart pounding story lines. Nyx is an assassin her latest assignment is to take the head of the Columbian Mafia in Florida. This job was supposed to net her enough money that she could hang her assassin hat up, but you know what they say about best laid plans. He threw a wrench in her plan the day that the hit was going down. Now her plan is FUBAR and she is kidnapped with the baby she rescued. Now she just has to survive in the belly of the beast. Savage is ruthless and dangerous and when he catches Nyx trying to assassinate his father he kidnapped her to keep a closer eye on her. I can’t wait for the second installment of this high-octane and gripping series!!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Can I just say DANG!!!! This book started out strong. To have a strong heroine takes a lot of work and to also make her work for it too, it just hits the tip of the iceberg. Nyx is strong, fierce, independent, and full of good bad stuff. She's faced off with the son of her target to survive the next few years of life while trying to save her little sisters at the same time. Getting tangled up with our hero Bryan makes everything worse for her. I enjoyed reading the relationship that was building. The foreplay and some of the sexy scenes were written and played well into the story as well. It started to get frustrating when Bryan would go back and forth with Nyx. It felt like two steps forward and one step back in their relationship. The ending ended on a good cliffhanger and makes me want to read the next book to find out what will happen next.

Book one of a promising series. A female assassin is caught before she can fulfil her contract and a complicated relationship with her target's son develops. Nyx's character is a breath of fresh air - smart, tough, resourceful and as calculating as Savage. It's been a while since I read about a woman as skilled and as motivated as she is. Savage is the son of The Boss of a crime family - he's known to be focused and deadly. He may have caught Nyx but she is no easy prey. They could be a great match if they don't kill each other first!
I like the names, the cover, the dual POV, multi-layered personalities, descriptive setting details, fast-moving plot, great world-building, tension, violence and sizzling chemistry that makes this a very entertaining, unpredictable page-turner. Looking forward to the continuation. 5 stars

This story was captivating from the beginning, an edge-of-your-seat read. Logan Fox never fails to deliver all the emotions! She is the master of dark stories, always well written. This one doesn’t fail to deliver. This story has me salivating for a continuation! So dark, twisted, and savage.
Nyx is an assassin with a very bad attitude, while Savage becomes suspicious that she is responsible for the attempted assassination on his father, the head of the Domingo Cartel. Putting Nyx and Savage in the same room is conducive to violence between the two, as neither will give an inch. Nyx is a fighter to the core, once being a boxer.
Circumstances arise that forces them to work together, but someone has plans to undermine them both. The ending is completely unexpected! Can’t wait to continue the series soon!

But that carefully laid out plan so turns into one giant messed up disaster.
Caesar “Savage” Domingo is the son of the capo Colombian cartel.
Savage heads to his notorious father’s restaurant to meet up with him.
When suddenly all hell breaks through.
Now both Nyx and Savage are caught up in a whole different kind of messed up situation.
While I liked both lead characters.
I thought Savage a bit wimpy for the likes of Nyx.
I’m not sure if it’s because he really doesn’t want to physically harm her.
Or if she’s more tougher and dominating than him.
I’m hoping in the next book he has more backbone than in this one.
That ending was dramatic and suspense filled!

Savage Hero is a dark twisted romance which focuses on Nyx, a freelance assassin targeting the head of the Domingo Cartel, and Caesar/Savage, the son of the capo ad second in line in the cartel succession after his uncle. Savage arrives at the time Nyx is carrying out her hit on his father and captures her before she is successful in carrying out her assignment. This well written book by Logan Fox has amazing characters and an intriguing storyline with suspense, unexpected twists, mafia violence, steamy passion, and a cliffhanger.

I first read this story as part of the Violent Tendencies anthology, and was absolutely in love with the characters, Nyx, Savage and little Princess, and need more time with the little sisters as well. Since reading it in the anthology, I've been anxiously awaiting the next installment, and now that both books are out, I did a reread of book 1. Now on to book 2, to see if this group can get an HEA.

Uggg, so good and I'm so mad it's a cliffhanger.
Nyx is a total badass and I want to be her. Savage is just that, but the two together somehow make sense. Even if they're fighting and hate each other, they have chemistry and so much tension between them.
This was a page turner. I didn't want to put it down and I'm going to be waiting on pins and needles for the next book.

The first book in A Crime Family Affair duo by Logan Fox was a roller coaster of a ride! Nyx is a assassin who is targeting Caesar's father. When the hit goes terribly wrong, Nyx is captured and held by Caesar, who's father is the Capo of the Domingo Cartel. She is a strong, independent, and sassy woman that has a past that drives her. Caesar (Savage) is a dark alpha that wants Nyx. The chemistry is intense, the story twists, turns, and is crazy steamy. I cant wait for book 2 Dark Angel and more from these two.

Wow! This book was so dang good! It was definitely a dark romance with a few scenes that can be triggers, so proceed with caution.
I one of the things I loved about this book was that the female main character defied the norms. Nyx was a total b@d@$$! She’s a snarky assassin and a trained boxer who loves a good fight!
Savage was great too! I loved their banter! I liked that they were similar, both basically deadly introverts.
I was disappointed when I came the cliffhanger, simply because I didn’t want this story to end. And it doesn’t...but I have to wait for the next book.

Intense, Riveting and Smexy!!!
Savage Hero is the first book in the A Crime Family Affair series and is the story of Caesar "Savage" Domingo and Nyx Gray. This story is at times dark and be warned there are some triggers including some non/dub-con. This story starts out fast and keeps that pace until the end, which kept the excitement level high, the banter/fighting between the couple interesting and the smexy hotter than Hades.
This is a well written book by Logan Fox with a tight and interesting story-line. The characters are fascinating and more than a little riveting at times. Overall this was a great book and I am looking forward to reading the next in the series.

An action packed story right from the beginning with palpable suspense and mesmerizing darkness. I loved how tough her character is in this story. I thought he was brilliantly crafted and the perfect match to her clever, delft, and fascinating character. The mystery surrounding her family had me hooked and I can’t wait to read the next book. The deceit and possible betrayal that seems to me lingering in my mind after reading this book is also very fascinating. Great storytelling.

Savage is right. Nyx is one heroine I like with her attitude and the way she stands up for herself. Savage is dangerous but draws you in just like Nyx. Their back and forth and chemistry is undeniable and it only adds to the tension of everything else going on in the story. Now I am anxious for the next book.
