Sinjin and Bryn have been reunited with Jolie in the Abyss. But, the reunion is short-lived when they find themselves fighting for their lives…
Meanwhile, Emma and Stone are enjoying their own little vacation in Sinjin’s mountain retreat, away from the dangers the real world poses. But, when Stone finally comes clean with Emma regarding who and what he is, Emma realizes there’s only one person who can help them… her father.
After failing to convert Duine to his way of thinking, Laucian takes matters into his own hands when he seeks the magical knowledge of Nyx, only to learn she’s become the prisoner of Duine.
I’m a huge fan of anything paranormal and I always have been. I get super excited whenever they have those Twilight Zone Marathon days and anything ghost or vampire related will always attract my attention.
My interests are varied but aside from writing, I’m most excited about traveling. I’m extremely fortunate to have been able to live in England and Scotland, both places really having a profound effect on my books.
Thanks for checking out my books and I hope you enjoy them! Happy Haunting!
Episode 8 in the Mists of Magic and Mayhem series continues with Jolie, Morse, Brynn, Sinjin, and Odran trying to find the source of power keeping Jolie tethered to the Abyss. The search isn’t easy or without peril, but everyone knows the importance of what they are seeking. Stone and Emma make a decision, leading them to leave their cabin sanctuary and out into the open. Their trip is wrought with danger as Stone and Emma make their way to the one person Emma thinks can help. Coming to Nyx’s rescue isn’t what Lucian had planned but his need for her powers overrules and finds himself face-to-face with Duine. As each group of people are working through their ordeals, Rowan, Matilda, and their protectors have issues of their own.
The eighth episode in the Mists of Mayhem series is action-packed, fast-paced, and pulls the reader in effortlessly and keeps them engaged. I am excited to be back in this world. Along the way through this fresh, new adventure we get to meet new characters, venture into new settings, and learn new things. The serial is engaging and branches in several directions, but it's done smoothly.
This series is amazing. I love that we are back in the world of Jolie Wilkins and we get to see what they are up to 10 years after the end of the Bryn and Sinjin series. Each book draws you in and the endings keep you wanting more. I’m constantly on edge, waiting for the next book.

Have you ever read a book and you feel like you're almost to the most amazing part.. like you can see it happening and are preparing yourself for when everything really starts to fall into place! All the pieces are on the board and the heavens have aligned to make that one moment so spectacular.. Yep that's exactly what this book felt like to me. Of course this wouldn't be a Mallory book without some kind of wrench thrown into the mix.. something you didn't see coming and you're wondering how the hell is it gonna work out?! So basically, if you haven't started this series then what in the world are you waiting for? If you have.. then I promise this one will knock you off your feet!
There's so much going on in this installment of the Mists of Magic and Mayhem series. Bryn admits she was wrong, which is shocking, and gives hope to her family. Pagan almost reached his goal but an old enemy of readers offers assistance to our new enemy. There's unexpected humor in this one. When Nyx meets Rowan, it is hilarious. The ending was epically shocking to me. I didn't see that one coming. I read this book in exchange for an honest review.
So very much has been going on. As sisters an ex lover are reunited happiness; quickly turned into do or die situation. As our little troop face off a fight. Other parts Emma w/Stone her true identity is revealed. The way Hp Mallory writes weaves hers stories even after the many series I've read. I'm still amazed and surprised
Episode 8 in this series & it does not disappoint! Fast paced and full of action! Some questions from previous episodes have been answers, but of course that leads to more new questions. I am really enjoying this series. I loved the original books these episodes came from & these have been a perfect continuation of those. Eagerly awaiting more!
This was an entertaining, well-written book. The action starts right up and doesn't stop. I couldn't put it down until I finished it. I enjoyed this episode and look forward to the next story in the series.
The series as a whole has not been a bad read, some books quicker than others. The storyline twist together and apart again in interesting ways as do the characters. My biggest complaint is the editing. I wish she would find a real editor. I finally got tired of making notes and corrections on my Kindle.
