Not what she was expecting

This book was high energy, intrigue, betrayal and danger making for a fantastic afternoon read. I love how the author picked up right at the end of the first book like no time had passed at all. I am still loving the characters and the way they are with each other and the way each day brings them closer as a family. I enjoyed the way the author kept the story moving, especially that little twist I never saw coming. This was a wonderful addition to the series and I can’t wait to see what happens in book three.

Enjoyable shifters, I’m still writing for them to obviously confirm she’s a hybrid.

Who are her parents?
I had a feeling she was missing someone, needed to unite the species.

Third one is already on audio I’m looking guesses to completion of the series. Really quick listens. Enough smut vs storyline to hold my interest.

Second Comes Fate by Michelle Ziegler is a fated mates wolf shifter romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Sarah Puckett, Jay Alder, Tom Haire, Tim Paige, and Jason Lasky. This is the second book in the Howling For Her series.

I am loving the chemistry between Fiona, Aiden, Drake, Noah, and Nick. I really enjoyed getting all of their points of view throughout the book.

The book ends on another great cliffhanger. I can't wait to jump into the final book Third Comes Mates.

Sarah, Jay, Tom, Tim, and Jason did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like fated mates, wolf shifters, and reverse harem romances.

Dang this series gets better and better, I cannot wait for #3, so glad I volunteered to read both the first and this one because Ms. Ziegler was totally new to me. Which is most definitely why I wanted to see this one. This is my honest opinion, yes it was free but my opinion wasn't bought or compensated.

Fiona has three mates now Drake, Aiden and Noah who are all shifters as well as Fiona who was raised by witches although that was totally new, once she reached her 17th birthday I believe every Alpha wanted her as their third completing their triad. the rogues continue to plague her new pack. she is still having issues with her confidence and acceptance. This all I can reveal to give you an idea of the book so you will know why I liked this book now onto my thoughts and what I liked.

She packed a lot of action, mystery a bit of romance while also giving her characters realism while still doing a rock solid world building. If you like the previous style of book based on the interactions with witches and shifters then this series is for you.

This is the second book I have read from Michelle Ziegler. The first book was the first book in this series. I loved both books. The story line was exciting and the hero’s were hot. Lots of steam. The mfc Fiona started out as a lovable person turned into a badass by a he end. It ends on a cliffhanger and I am dying to read the next book in the series. I whole heartedly recommend this book. It was really good. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Honestly, after nick basically kidnaps, and binds her powers and her wolf then basically rapes her, I lost interest in the series and struggled to finish the book.
I am going to TRY and finish the series but, I'm if I will be able too.

No

I hate hate hate non consent - and I really hate it when she gets kidnapped and raped and then “enjoys” it. This was creepy and nauseous.

Outside of that awfulness. The story is ok, her mates are ok, the book had potential but I am done.

Consent issues

I don't enjoy books where female is forced or tricked into anything. Sometimes ok when guys is an evil b* and gets what he deserves but not by a partner.

Hmmm... I like this book. It wasn't as good as the first book. I need more story and plot, not more sex scenes lol. But there was enough story at the end to make up for it. And Effin' Nick (Nicks are always more trouble than they are worth in my experience lol). But I didn't expect thing to turn out like this. So far, from what I remember both books 1 & 2 had kickass endings. I would recommend having all 3 before starting. Really, I think these three books would have made a fantastic novel. Keep most of book 1, cut out a little from the beginning of book 2, and I will have to see with number 3. These books are so tiny! At 180/pages each and 3 books, it would still be a fairly short novel. I am a big fan of series books. I read a TON of them. But I started out with Laurel K. Hamilton and Anne Rice who both write very long books, especially Anne (holy crap 1200pages in one of her best books!). And it would have still left plenty of room to expand the series. But I guess I will wait until finishing book 3 before I decide. (lol... like I'm some kind of expert... just an avid reader of fantasy type books opinion. Who knows maybe there is a huge market for these kinds of small books. I have no idea). But either way, the plot and the story behind these books are great.

I listened to the audible version and I have a feeling that audio definitely helped this book. Not all books are made for audio. BUT this one fits perfect! Especially with all the narrators. They have one narrator for each of the major characters and I find that FANTASTIC. They all did fantastic jobs and played their parts perfectly! I can't wait to see what happens in book three!

The second book in the series is Second Comes Fate, this is a great continuation of the first book. I loved this book I give it also 4.5 out of 5 stars. This book is worth a read, having left the second book on a cliff hanger this book picks up. Now, I know that I will not be doing any spoilers but there is someone that you are going to want to punch in the face for the first few chapters. But continuing the story where it left off and in the first few chapters the heat fact rises from the last story, it is a pepper rating of Habanero Pepper to a Ghost Pepper rating.

I think that this story is one that you should have your significant other near by, because you will more than likely get all hot and bothered during the sexy scenes. This story gets a little more heart pounding in fear in this book than the first. I think if you're into werewolf stories than you are use to a little to a lot of violence, since the werewolves are not the most even peaceful stories.

I recommend this book to anyone who loves werewolf stories with a twist. This story is a well written love story that has twists and turns through out the entire series. I think that if you like paranormal romances that this is one that you would enjoy, I also only recommend this book if you like reverse harmen series. If you don't then even if you like the paranormal romance series you wont really enjoy this series.

I hope this helps you find your next Tantalizing Tome!

Fiona finally found her place in the world. She's a wolf shifter with three powerful mates. She has freed her wolf and is ready to assume her role as the pack Luna. But there's something different about her magic, something different about Fiona, and even as happy as she is, there is something missing. As danger increases in the wolf world, it's more important than ever for Drake, Aiden, Noah, and Fiona to fully bond and unite the packs. But someone has a different plan.

There still needs to be more character development and now that bonding has been introduced, we need relationship development as well. The steamy scenes are needed in a wolf shifter story but that doesn't mean communication is any less important. We need to see their bond grow closer and this can only happen if they interact outside of the bedroom. There was no building of the depth of their bond outside of lust. Plot is of utmost importance...The storyline was weaker this book because of this lack and due to the fact the big mystery of Fiona was obvious from the onset. It was also handled poorly by the character it involved. It really hurt his likability factor. Fiona's response also damaged my opinion of her. Cheating on your honeymoon is not a good look no matter the circumstances. This is a hardline for me and she flew across it. I am interested to see if she can be redeemed or if the author even sees there could be an issue with her actions.

Audiobook Review:

Another enthralling installment in this series. I didn’t see… well I didn’t see a lot coming. But it’s one of the things that helped keep the vise grip on my attention. Not only were there questions being raised that I wanted answers to, but there were answers being given that I did not expect. There was steady storyline progression, and the ending was perfectly done to ensure I’d be back for book three.
The narration was pretty good. I found that while some voices continued to shine for me, others I’m not really loving as much. Unfortunately, I only know who the female narrator is by name and voice (and she was amazing) but there is a different guy for each male main character, and I only recognize one by name and voice. So I’ll just leave it as I loved some more than others, but none of them did a bad job. There was no awkward pronunciation or weird pauses, I just didn’t love the overall tone or sound of a couple of the guys and I know that it’s just personal preference. I still really loved the narration format though and cannot wait for the next book.

Second Comes Fate is a wonderfully written paranormal, shifter-fated mates, reverse harem romance and a fabulous addition to the Howling for Her series. The series is addictive; I couldn't get enough. The plot, world-building, and character development are absolutely phenomenal. I was immediately drawn in by the engaging storyline, the excitement, unpredictability, action, humor, scorching hot steam, and the electrifying chemistry between Fiona and her men, Aiden, Drake, Nick and Noah. I loved hearing all the individual points of view; it highlighted each cast member's emotions, thoughts, and motives. It made the readers/listeners connect even more with the characters. I can't wait to find out what comes next, so please hurry up and release. :)

LOVED the narration!! The lineup of super talented narrators made listening to this audiobook a marvelous experience. They each captured and portrayed the diversity of the cast while bringing to life individual characters. Overall, Second Comes Fate was a fantastic listen, one I'll highly recommend.

Why the Unrest ? . . .

In this paranormal romance we have an intriguing series. Fiona’s three mates are Noah, Drake, and Aiden. The characters are well-developed and interesting. The dialog felt realistic and allowed the reader move through the story, getting to know more about the characters and the situation they are facing.

The story line itself was full of romance, steam, and intrigue. The combination will win the reader over in very short time! There is a disturbance in the wolf shifter world that can be clearly felt by the wolves, and the unrest is growing. Rogues have been attacking pack lands. Why is this happening? What can be done to stop it? Who is behind what is going on? You won’t want to miss this one! It does end with a cliffhanger, but we won’t have long to wait for the next book.

You really need to read the first one before this.
Then you will get how this all came about before you get to the idea of how Fiona is in the situation she is.
And what a situation, one most women would want. Three hot guys wanting you continuously. *sigh*
But wait, there's a fourth....things are just getting more interesting as the story goes along.
And she's not going to lie down and let it happen without her.
Even if she's just coming into herself after being blocked most of her life.
I really enjoyed this as much as the first one and after the cliffhanger it ends in, I am waiting impatiently for the next one in the series.

Another fun installment in this series that picks up right where book 1 leaves off. There’s all sorts of drama, steamy scenes, shifter-mates but still real feels … it’s pretty well woven.
Aspects I especially enjoyed:

🐺 Supernatural bigotry (more I enjoyed hating the injustice of it).
✨ Witches.
🐺 Shifters.
✨ Pack loyalty.
🐺 Fated mates.
✨ Loyal besties and found families.
🐺 Protective alpha vibes.
✨ Drama / angst.
🐺 War (between packs).
✨ Mystery in the form of riddles/puzzles.

It’s a quick read/ or listen, and this series is easy to bounce in and out of around other reads.
Well done—would be open to reading more from this author.

4 stars.

"Fate might have PMS and she's taking it out on me." Having not read anything previous from this author, this quote really made me pick this story up. I was not disappointed in the least. It is a reverse harem and the audio has several narrators. They did a good job bringing the story and characters to life. This is the second story in the "Howling for Her" series and should be read in order. I did not so I missed a bit but still enjoyed the story but it does end a dread cliffhanger. Fiona, Aiden, Drake, Noah and Nick are likable characters and each unique. There steamy story is fast paced with some action, suspense and mystery. I enjoyed it so much I need to get the rest of the story.

So, the second book of the Howling for Her series. What should I say? It has it all. Action, steamy scenes, betrayal. All the heart desires.

It was a fantastic book. The plot was intriguing. Fiona settles in her new life. But not without problems. There are threats from different sides. Mostly the rogues. Other packs. But she has her three shifter mates and planned her marriage/mating ceremony.

But wait: A wedding without chaos? Nope. Surely not. The plot get a new twist when Fiona discovered there is a fourth mate out there. But, of course, I don't do spoiler ;) And there is a cliffhanger at the end again.

Long story short: I enjoyed it!

Second Comes Fate – Series continues – Audiobook Review🎧
This is the second book in the series, and before you listen to this one, I highly recommend that you listen to First Comes Wolves first.  Fiona is finally getting used to her life with Aiden, Noah, and Drake and has learned to shift.  There still are some bad things going on and now Nick is involved. I really enjoyed this book more than the first one, except that it ends in a cliffhanger. I love listening to a steamy book!  I can’t wait until the next book comes out. Narration was fantastic once again! #AudiobookObsession #TheFlock #PinkFlamingoProductions

This story was ok. I will say I like this book better than the first. You constantly feel like your playing catch up with how their world works. The author doesn't really explain certain things that would let you feel more engrossed in the world or characters but then over explains other things. I think the concept of these books had serious potential but could have been better with a little tweaking. The narration did not work for me. The one male narrator was whiney half the time, the other overly breathy. The female narrator ehhh she was ok I have listened to all of these narrators in other books and I have to say I think it was just the way they tried to portray these characters.

Second Comes Fate is the third book in the Howling For Her series.

I cannot wait for the next book in this fated mates wolf shifter romance series. The characters of Fiona, Noah, Drake, and Aiden are well developed, likable, and have the most amazing chemistry. Will her mates be able to help Fiona as she tries to discover the secrets of her past?

This book has suspense, intrigue, passion, and romance for all to enjoy.

Fiona and her three mates are trying hard to stabilize the pack and area, but the rogues are causing issues on pack land. She is getting stronger, but still has so much uncertainty. The characters keep getting more developed since the first book. The suspense and twists are more involved. Loved how the four are getting more supportive of each other and relying on their connected strengths. Can not wait for book 3.

Fiona was left with who called her aunt by her mother when she was young and she cannot remember her. Her aunt and her mother were witches. Her father an alpha. Her blood line - she herself - destiny is to being both sides together to stop the wars. Her 3 fated wolf mates (Drake-the Alpha, Noah-the quiet bruit, Aiden-her comedy) and her soulmate Nick (warlock) have to come together to stop others and love her and each other to overcome a battle to take her powers. Unconditional love between the 5 will stop the chaos and bring change.

This is the second in the series. I HIGHLY recommend you read book 1 before starting this story. It is a continuation and has some shock factor included. We get deeper in Fiona’s life and learn new secrets and answers to some old secrets. It is nice to see some relationships moving forward. What I do not like is that it ends on a cliffhanger.

I did listen to this on audio. The narration is nicely done and easy to listen to.

Fantastic. Picked up the pace a little from book one, and was worth the wait. The bond grows between our FMC and her triad and its hottt! Then there are tensions between the wolves, and Nick is in there, still brooding over his love for the FMC. This ends us with the FMC going missing, then escaping her new captors and Aiden and Nick having to team up. Plenty of new twists and turns. Looking forward to book 3

This is an excellent series. You really need to read Book 1 first to fully understand and appreciate the story. Fiona now has three mates Noah, Drake, and Aiden with the possibility of a fourth!! This series is full of passion, intrigue, adventure….you name it this series has it all. It will capture you from page one and keep you engrossed until the last. Looking forward to Book 3.

Fiona was mated to 3 wolves and getting her wolf back. Having problems with the other packs accepting her. Memories came back when she was little her father had sold her to mean alpha wolf for an alliance but didn’t happen. Her 4th mate kidnapped her for Victor the wolf she had been sold to but do that to his mate. Things were being worked out.

I really enjoyed this book. I was pulled straight into the depths after a few pages. The characters grow more in this book and we also get to know more about why Fiona's mother hid her like she did. To all come crashing down with the crazy cliffhanger of an ending.
This book also has many steamy moments too, whilst you go there the wicked read.
