My very first MC Romance and it will definitely not be the last, thanks to CM Danks. โChargerโ is a great way to start a series. Well written, palpable chemistry between Jules and Zack aka Charger(by palpable, I meant blazing hot) and overall an amazing story.
I love books that make me โfeelโ and Charger is no exemption. Trust me when I say rollercoaster of emotions. My heart broke for both of them multiple times throughout their love story, but CM put it back together at the end.
Iโm starting to realize what kind of author CM Danks will be. Her books (Romance) include elements of suspense and mystery and I. Am. Here. For. It.

Shew, I love me a good MC romance. Something about those bad boys and their intense love & loyalty for their โOl Ladyโ just makes me swoon. This book is no different- Chargerโs love & dedication to his girls is everything ๐
There are some hot, hot, HOT scenes throughout the story. The emotional roller coaster is real. There are some really intense elements throughout as well: human trafficking, abuse, attempted rape, car accident.
I loved this story so much! Itโs my 2nd read by @c.m.danks and, once again, she didnโt disappoint. Definitely recommend! Looking for to book 2!

Intense
Holy tension. I need a massage, some scented candles, and a hot chocolate after this one! I really enjoyed the characters in this story, including sweet Chloe. The relationships between them felt genuine and the danger was palpable! Overall a really good read.

I've been eager for this book since finishing Dank's debut book, Dance with me, and was not disappointed at all.
Charger is an M. C masterpiece that sucks you right in. I devoured it in 24 hours.
Charger aka Zach is the gorgeous, alpha male, possessive lead male.
And then there's Jules the beautiful. Independent, clever female lead.
I love how Dank's writes about their younger years and then them in their late 20s.
A great plot that is well written and makes you feel like your right in there with the characters.
Romance, Suspense and Spice that will leave you needing more.
I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

OMG, I loved this story so much, it is beautiful, emotional and steamy ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
Charger and Jules stole my heart from the beginning. Their love for each other from young age was so pure and beautiful. But when the circumstances got in their way my heart broke for them. Dealing with their loss and the emotional roller coaster of events was beyond heartbreaking however they found their way to their HEA.
I strongly recommend this to everyone and canโt wait for more of the Steel Valley Chains MC โฅ๏ธโฅ๏ธโฅ๏ธ and will be patiently waiting for Angel and Venomโs story โค๏ธ

This is a case of Instagram made me do it, and this time, I'm glad. ๐คฃ
As an indie author, my tbr is full of books written by other indies (it just takes me a while to get through them). I've seen this book doing the rounds & decided to bump it to the top of my list.
For the first 30%, you'd easily be mistaken into believing that this is a sweet, friends to lovers story. The start of the book introduces us to Jules & Zach/Charger, their world, & how their relationship develops. Then, things change, their world is torn apart, & so are they.
Six years later (after having no contact) their paths cross & we discover that they're connected through more than just history. This is when it becomes an MC book, as Jules is pulled into Charger's world.
Cue men, motorbikes & mayhem.

Damn Oh So Much Amazingness!!
This world and these characters that C.M. Danks has created wreaked so much havoc on my heart and emotions, and I loved every second of it.
Charger and Jules's romance story stretches across many years. And as I devoured every word of their story it took me on an equally heartbreaking and heartwarming journey about first love, heartbreak, loss, family, regret, second chances, and fighting for that person who you will love until the very last star falls.
Sooooooooo......
Raid your liquor cabinet and grab some tissues because your heart strings will be pulled in every direction. The teenage angst will squeeze your heart, the alpha ness will have you feeling damn hot, the suspense and build up to I know something is about to shred my heart will have you holding your breath, and when it all hits the fan you will be yell in anger, feel frustrated, and cry through the heartbreak.
MC books are my jam and C.M. Danks has nailed it. This story has it all angst, action, steam, suspense, secrets, twists and turns, and a brotherhood of guys and a girl who you will love and be so intrigued by you can't wait for more of this series!!!
And yes!!!!!!!! I said GIRL because 1 million stars for C.M. Danks for including a female club member. Angel is a total badass and I can't wait for her story!!

I loved this story. Charger is ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
I love the way C. M. Danks starts their story with them as kids so you can get to know them as teenagers and then switched it over to them as adults after being separated by a tragedy as teens. With all the angst of teenage love and knowing how much the more worldly Charger loved his innocent Jules only adds to the angst when they are separated for years only to be brought back together unexpectedly when both are adults and settled in their lives. This book had me flipping those pages as fast as I could to see what happens between a teenage boy and girl and two adults that have gone on to live their lives. Secrets. Suspense. Mystery. And Love. Isn't that what we are all looking for in an MC book?!!!!

Only giving it four stars because I have a feeling the next book will be mind blowing.
I really enjoyed Zach and Jules book. Zach is a real alpha man from the very beginning. Heโs always looking after Jules and taking care of her. Always telling others what to do. He means well. But after a tragic loss he looses himself for a while.
Even though Zach was an alpha male he didnโt get on my nerves the way some do. I like that all he wanted was to take care of Jules. He really tried with his mom but he didnโt have the best home life. Even though he didnโt have the best home life he turned out well.
I like that the chains saved Chargerโs life and they turned him around. They made him even a better man.
Jules did well for herself and for the loss she suffered, she and her family pulled themselves through and stayed together. I like that not even such a horrible loss tore them apart. They pulled themselves up and kept going.
Jules and Zach reunite but they have their hurdles to overcome. They have things that are thrown at them that will either make or break them.
I canโt wait for Angel and Venomโs book.

Charger and Jules get all the stars in this friends to lovers/second chance romance book! I loved these two characters so much and everyone in the Steele Valley Chains MC. Jules had so much strength and backbone even when Charger was trying to protect her. Charger was broken yet protective and while sometimes frustrating he was also swoony. I cannot wait to see where this series takes us and what other trouble these snarky men and women can get into!

C.M. Danks just gets better and better! Charger is the second book I've read of Danks' and I was so ready to see how she wrote an MC romance.
The book is a second chance, friends to lovers book and we start with Zach (Charger) and Jules in high school. Now, I'm not a huge high school fan, hated it while I was there, not really a fan of reading about it now. But the promise of MC kept me going and Danks honestly did a good job of it. And as you expect, Jules and Zach are torn apart (this is a second chance romance, after all).
Fast forward 6 years and they meet again. Enter the sexy biker portion of this tale, which I was dying for. Zach is now Charger, part of the Steel Valley MC crew. Jules and Zach were such great characters, I really loved watching them come together as adults and overcoming past hurts.
I feel like I'm giving too much away. If you like YA and MC then you need to check out this book!

Absolutely loved Charger!!! A book that takes the reader from young love to true love and all of the emotional ups and downs and struggles that happen along the way! That happy ever after love that everyone hopes for. Charger and Jules- true soulmates that share explosive chemistry heating up the pages of Charger!๐ฅ C M Danks leaves you wanting more from the Steel Valley Chains MC. Absolutely recommend this book and will be looking forward to book #2 in this hot, steamy and sexy series.๐ฅ

This is the second book ever written by CM Danks, and I am so freaking proud of her...well done girl ๐๐๐
So I normally don't read MC trope, but I'm so glad I gave this book a chance, because I loved everything about this story. It was so tastefully done, and it had the right amount of YA and then MC in it. It's not like your typical dark, bloody MC romances. It kept me captivated the whole time!
Zach, Garrett and Jules have been friends since they were young! (Garrett is Jules twin) We see them grow up through the years, were they are best friends, they become that first love in highschool, boyfriend and girlfriend! Zach and Jules are madly in love, promising never to be apart, to always love each other, and they really do love each other so much. Unfortunately one day tragedy strikes, tearing them apart.
They each have different ways of coping with the pain!
Fast forward 6 years, and they meet again by chance or fate I would say! Zach is now another person, he is Charger part of the Steel Valley MC crew all fully grown up, serious, muscle tone body, tattoos, gorgeously hot, protective, possessive, big tuff guy for sure.
Jules has also changed she has her own business, she's a beautiful woman, smart, protective, but deep down she has been broken, and the girl has a secret that few know of.
Can they put their past behind them, and find a way to forgive each other for all the hurt? To finally be happy. Will Jules be able to join this new MC life that Charger is apart of now? Will his MC crew endanger the people he loves he most? Well you need to read the book to find out ๐.
So many little twists, and turns, angsty sadness, slow burn, but then we do get our steamy sex, we also get funny moments, this Author gave us so much goodness with this book. I highly recommended.
The secondary characters are soooooo good! Truly I can't wait for more on this series from CM Danks. "I love you until every star in the sky burns out."
Charger is the first in the Steel Valley Chains MC series, and focuses on Julianna and her best friend Zach. Growing up together, Julianna, along with her twin brother Garrett, and Zach were inseparable. Their friendship was supportive, fun, and indestructible, overcoming Zach's difficult home life and Jule's shyness. They always had each other to hang out with and talk to. However, as the years evolve, so do their relationships, especially between Zach and Jules. No longer the boy or girl next door, now there's romantic feelings and unbidden jealousy encroaching on their easy friendship. When a tragic accident happens, Zach and Jules' relationship is tested and ripped apart, and when they come together again they must overcome years of anger and resentment.
I liked Jules as a character, and she certainly shows her resilience as she struggles to overcome a great loss (family and romance!), adjust to a new responsibility, and persist in creating a good life. I liked that the first part of the book focuses on her timid personality, and how she gains courage in order to get what she wants, especially when it comes to Zach. In contrast, Zach comes from a difficult home life, often spending time with Jule's family because he didn't have anyone in his immediate family who loved him. Because of this, he reels from the tragedy they all experienced and his actions show his immaturity and anger at losing such a big part of his life. Zach's change from lost young teen to a confidant man, who's determined to take care of the woman who came back into his life, and whose loyalty for his MC is unrivaled reveals an adult who takes accountability for his actions. For someone who didn't have much of a family at the beginning of the book, I'm glad that Zach was surrounded not only by his brothers, but also by his childhood sweetheart and their own family at the end.
Charger is the first in the Steel Valley Chains MC series, and focuses on Julianna and her best friend Zach. Growing up together, Julianna, along with her twin brother Garrett, and Zach were inseparable. Their friendship was supportive, fun, and indestructible, overcoming Zach's difficult home life and Jule's shyness. They always had each other to hang out with and talk to. However, as the years evolve, so do their relationships, especially between Zach and Jules. No longer the boy or girl next door, now there's romantic feelings and unbidden jealousy encroaching on their easy friendship. When a tragic accident happens, Zach and Jules' relationship is tested and ripped apart, and when they come together again they must overcome years of anger and resentment.
I liked Jules as a character, and she certainly shows her resilience as she struggles to overcome a great loss (family and romance!), adjust to a new responsibility, and persist in creating a good life. If youโre looking for an MC romance with lots of heart, look no further. What could be a simple tale of childhood sweethearts between the girl/boy next door morphs into something so complex when trauma strikes. The emotional toll on two teens in love sets them each on a far different path than they thought they would walk. When those individual paths converge, the sparks between Charger and Jules ignite. And when danger threatens Jules, Charger uses that for to burn their enemies to ash.
The author has a way of conveying the charactersโ thoughts & emotions realistically without bogging the reader down in too much of the โwoe is meโ or โitโs all your fault & you need to sufferโ angst. I fell for it, I fell for friendship, football games, prom, and love. The innocence of it all and its right there the nervous excitement of it all. Eighteen years old, some have seen and already been through so much, and others maybe havenโt experienced everything, but they are more aware of what is out there. Itโs the beginning of changing your life and finding your own way. C.M. Danks made me feel I was part of their trio. Garrett and Jules twin siblings, and Zach, their best friend. The first part of the story is beautiful, fun, and has just enough angst.
Jules, artistic, funny, beautiful, shines so bright you are lucky to be in her presence. A gift that Zach worshiped. He was protective over her, alpha, sexy, a football player alongside Garrett. One dare changed it all between them and it was gorgeous! He made his feelings known and so did she, thats why when something major happens. I was pretty devastated. It made me want to return home and go back to my bedroom and play every emo song imaginable from when I was a teen. I need a hug from my parents.
When we transition to a few years later, whew. I was broken hearted. I was clinging to every word. I felt so deeply for Jules. That she pursued her dreams, and tried to move on, but her life held so much pain still, her stars were gone. Zach who is now Charger is part of the Steel Valley Chains MC. Jules has a business of her own and lets say their paths cross. There are few more twists that were incredible. And some serious sexy time between them, vroom vroom.
I also loved being introduced to the other characters, however it did not take away from the main couple or what their problems were. I love that, when I read a book I want to fall in love with the main couple. Yes i have my eyes on the others, but I appreciated the glimpse the tease of more. Itโs a loyal MC, its men and women looking out for one another, and may have to get violent when needed!

C.M has delivered a addictive page-turner that kept my head spinning and my heart racing!
Just wow she has made a fan for life this book was pure kindle crack. I read this book in Three hours I couldnโt put it down. I was completely enamored.

I really enjoyed this story. It starts with Zack and Jules as teenagers. Their journey through friendship to more. And after tragedy they don't see each other for six years. The relationship between these two was sweet but also sexy. Charger is all possessive alpha and Jules is the love of his life. What a great MC book. Lots of action to keep you interested.

I finished and I need to go re-read because the book was that fantastic. I got 12% into this book and knew it would be a favorite of mine! And it sure is. Then I got to 37% in and couldnโt put it down! I devoured this book. I was wicked swooning, then crying then yelling then wanting to jump into the book to hover over the characters to watch their story play out. Absolutely fantastic.
Charger has so many layers as a character. At times he is a mystery man you are trying to figure out. But when around Jules, those layers get peeled back as he opens up to her like no one else. And Jules, wow she is amazing. She is innocent at first and seems naive, but deep down, she is a woman who knows what she wants. She goes after what she deserves. And she doesnโt take anything for granted.
This book had drama but necessary drama to make for great reading. The words C.M. wrote were perfect and I didnโt want the book to end. C.M., all my emotions were left in your fantastic book. I shed every emotion I could while reading it. This was my first MC romance book and if you keep writing more books like this one it wonโt be my last! The way Charger was with Jules, holy hotness! I literally love them as individuals but more so as a couple. They make each other better. They have so much beautiful history together. Iโm serious, the book was amazing.

Charger is an incredible start to Steel Valley Chains MC. This was a captivating book with a lot of twists, angst, and steam. The first part of the book deals with their past but I found myself wanting to know their history and cheering them on! The last half of the book is present day and thatโs where the MC comes into play. There was action, turf wars, human trafficking, and everything you want in a great MC series. I really liked both Charger and Jules, life dealt some hard blows but their journey conquering those situations and demons were worth it in the end!

The first thing that I loved about Charger by C. M. Danks was the cover, because dang...look at that cover. Then, when I started reading, the second thing that I loved is that this story takes place in Ohio, and well, I'm an Ohio gal, so how cool is that? Then, I really dug into this story and I was hooked.
This book is basically told in two parts and starts in high school when Jules and Zach are best friends who are torn apart. Then the story continues years later when Jules and Zach (who is now known as Charger) are unexpectedly reunited. Charger is now a member of a local biker club and he's no longer the boy that Jules loved. A lot has changed between them, but Charger will always be Jule's protector. After all, he vowed to love her until every last star burns out.

This book is amazingly written, loved the characters and their story. I'll have you swooning and it will broke your heart at some point but I promise that at the end it will be healed and full of happiness. C.M. did a wonderful job as the story will keep your attention from the beginning and the situations will have you wondering at every moment. Definitely a must read.

I am a sucker for MC books but even more so for the bad guy. I love strong female leads and the strife that Jules had to overcome. It was a good twist on normal stories that Charger came right back with passion when they reconnected and I liked that he wanted to make it right.
But I CANNOT wait for book two, because I can't wait to see what the hell happens with Venom. He had redeemable qualities but was still enough of a jerk I want more. I am also intrigued by the Segway into the mafia twist. CM is truly growing her skills as an author, I loved Dance for Me and cannot wait to see how this series plays out.

Brilliant reading Charger Jules stole my heart with in the first pages, a really heart wrenching story, loved it all the way through, itโs a long wait for Angels story.
