The book of Jude holds a lot of truth in looking back into the history of Scripture and looking forward into the prophetic destinies of the world that it can be a bit tough to wrestle with alone, so I would HIGHLY recommend this commentary to read alongside it. There are a few sentences that gave me pause based on Coder's* context, but it is overall such a wildly encouraging take on what it means to live for Christ when everything (and everyone) feels shaky.



*He's also my great-grandfather, so it's nice to bookend the year with his work. Familial connection aside, it did give a sense of renewal for me of the beauty of Scripture and the care of God for His people.

Most readable commentary I've ever read.

Another in the excellent "Everyman's Bible Commentary" series, this volume is particularly helpful. The book of Jude in the New Testament has 25 verses; the commentary has 125 pages, hence you get an average of 5 pages of exposition for each verse. Although it is not based on the King James version (the edition I used didn't state which version was referenced in the text and I didn't recognize it), the threads of thought and survey of text-related topics were quite interesting and insightful.

I read this book as recommended by my friend A. J. It is a great read. Fellowship in print. Fellowship one unto another for strength. And iron sharpens iron. I know that this book helped me. It helped clear up some things that I knew. But neded some insight from someone else.
