Everyone in Manhattan thinks they know everything there is to know about Lucian Prescott.
In his mid-forties, he’s a successful businessman, the founder and CEO of one of Manhattan’s largest hospitality companies, the Prescott Group. He’s sexy, rich, and one of the most eligible bachelors in the city. Very few people know just how dangerous he is. Because he’s also the head of the Kings of Hell’s Kitchen, a small, elite group of former mob members who are the lynchpin in Manhattan’s underground organized crime scene.
But Lucian has more secrets than just his criminal ties—like the fact that he’s been in love with Olivia Walsh for the past five years. Olivia, who is eighteen years younger than him and happens to be the daughter of Prescott Group’s biggest, most important investor. She’s completely off-limits, but that doesn’t stop him from wanting her. In his arms. His bed. His life.
He knows he needs to stay away from her, no matter how he feels about her—or how she feels about him. But staying away becomes impossible when Olivia’s ex—a man almost as dangerous as Lucian—begins stalking her, and he’ll do whatever it takes to keep her safe.
He’ll burn down the entire city to protect the only woman he’s ever loved.

We come to the end of this part of the Prescott Series with oldest of the brothers, and most elusive by far Lucian, finally getting his story.
He was a protector, through and through…
Lucian has been a bit of a wraith in the previous three books, in that he has been a bit of a fuzzy character firmly in the background, as a reader you know he is definitely not living a sunshine & rainbow existence, but it’s not until you get into Bad Intentions you realize how much of his life is lived in the darker and dingier aspects of society. The underworld of organized crime to be precise.
"For five years now, it’s been you…"
Olivia Walsh is the light to his dark, shes also the daughter of his biggest investor and almost twenty years younger than him, an attraction that sparked at her 21st birthday party has been simmering for the past five years, is finally acknowledged when she becomes the target of a known mob enforcer. Something that turns Lucian into full on alpha and unleashes the darker aspects of his personality in order to keep her safe.
When he was with her she made him feel alive in a way that always made him want more…
I really enjoyed Bad Intentions I’ve liked Lucian since the beginning and Olivia was the perfect pairing for him, I can’t say the story gave me much in the way of shocks or surprises, but what it did do was bring four new alphas into the mix with Lucians team; The Knights of Hells Kitchen and also give us a little more of an introduction to the Prescott cousins again, Tara has been teasing us with Noah, Hudson and Levi for a while now, and I was happy to read that they and the Knights are all slated for books in the future, there’s plenty of life left in this series, and I am looking forward to reading more from it in the future.

“Did I corrupt you, or were you always like this?” “I’ve never been like this with anyone except you. You bring it out of me.”
Lucian, Lucian, Lucian.
It’s no secret that I’ve been (im)patiently waiting for the most elusive of the Prescott brothers’ stories. He’s been lurking on the periphery of each of this younger sibling’s novels, acting as both a protector and a cipher. And now, in Bad Intentions we finally unearth what Lucian Prescott is all about. We also discover the identity of the woman who brings him to his knees.
And it’s delectable.
Tara Wyatt punctuates the end of the The Prescotts series with an exclamation point. This novel has a different tone than the others in the series, and I liked how Wyatt delves into a darker, more morally complicated world, but also stays true to who she is as a storyteller. She also creates a world within a world, setting up a new series (about the Kings of Hell’s Kitchen) that I cannot wait to get my hands on.
It’s an ending point and a starting point, and I’m here for it.
An ARC was generously provided by the author. All opinions are my own.
I was excited to read Lucian's story. We've seen him in all the other books and he's always there to protect and take care of his family. This book was a little different from others in the series. Lucian has some involvement with the mob. I've always loved the bad boy and Lucian was no different. But there was something off with this part of the story that I didn't care for. I'm not exactly sure what it is though.
Olivia was ok for me. Maybe it was because there was such a huge difference in age that we were constantly reminded of. Or maybe it was the instant love between them that didn't really make sense because it was based on nothing more than just looks. It might've been because she was the first girlfriend of the brothers that we didn't see at all in the books. We had to do a past/present in this book to introduce her and I've never been a hug fan of that in books.
Lucian got his HEA though which makes me happy. He deserved it.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
After patiently (or maybe impatiently) waiting, I’m so excited that Lucian’s story is finally here! For those who have been on the Prescott journey since the beginning, Lucian is the oldest Prescott, and the most mysterious. While his heart is always in the right place, his business dealings have been somewhat questionable and taboo throughout the series. I’m pleased to report that all your burning questions about Lucian are throughly answered in this book, and while I won’t give too much away, I will say that he’s more of a peacekeeping vigilante than you might believe, in a mobish kind of way. It’s for this reason that Lucian has sworn off love and settling down, lacking any confidence that his lifestyle will be conducive to a happy wife and family. That is however until he meets Olivia Walsh, daughter of Gavin Walsh, one of his biggest business investors, and 18 years his junior. Lucian knows that he should stay away from Olivia but every time they find themselves in the same room, they are drawn to each other like magnets. After 5 years of ignoring their growing attraction, Lucian and Liv finally decide to give in to their desires. What unfolds next is one sexy, fast paced, dark and dangerous romance that will keep you wondering if Lucian and Liv can truly achieve their happily ever after.
Be still my beating heart…this book was freaking amazing! I’ve read other books in the Prescott series, however none compare to the absolute masterpiece that is Bad Intentions. Not only do we experience Lucian and Liv’s romance in the present day, but there are also flashback chapters covering the five years they’ve known each other, which definitely adds an angsty element to their story. I must highlight that this is definitely more of a mafia type romance and it does cover some pretty heavy topics. However, I think Tara conveyed a very difficult subject matter with such graceful articulation and kept these scenes as light as possible, so as to not darken the overall story. And in true Tara fashion, there is plenty of steam in this book to set your whole house ablaze. Overall, I loved everything about this story and would absolutely recommend it!
Bad Intentions may be part of the Prescotts' series but can totally be read as a standalone. I did, so I would know. This is an age gap romance with mafia elements and I totally loved this!
Lucien is the leader of the Kings' of Hells Kitchen, a group that grew organically from smoothing relations between the different organised crime groups in the city. He is also the oldest of the Prescott kids, although family in this instance did not play a huge role. Olivia is the daughter of his biggest investor; they meet on her 21st birthday and although we have flashbacks of interactions over the years, this story starts when Olivia is 26. This makes the age gap part of the story much more palatable as you don't have this super young female MC that has little life experience. This book would be a hidden gem in the Age gap genre for this reason.
In general Oliva is a strong character, knows what she wants and are able to communicate this and stand up to Lucien for the most part. She is also not tstl as we so often find in these types of protector books, although she does end up kidnapped! Lucien has a strong sense of ethics and I appreciated that he did not make a play for Olivia when they first met. He is an anti hero that would easily sacrifice his happiness and himself for his loved ones. Not only does this relate to Olivia but also hints of this regarding his family are all over the book. If you have read all the Prescotts' books, you may know even more.
So, I loved the characters, I liked the troupe and story line, what else is there to say? Well, the thing that this writer did that I found perfect was her smexy scenes! Wow, drool, and scorching heat! These were written very well and I have not enjoyed a book this much in a long time. I read a lot, much of my romance reads borders on or are erotica. After a while it seems to get boring and blah, but Tara Wyatt put some new oomph into the scenes that were perfect. Not meant to shock, no new fandangled kink or weird positions - just really hot love scenes! Well done.
This book is about Lucian and Olivia. Lucian has thought that love isn't for him, he's reached his forties without being in a committed relationship and has spent more time protecting those who are important to him, rather than worrying about his own happiness. Despite this, he's also been drawn to Olivia, a young woman eighteen years younger than him. He knows all of the reasons that they shouldn't be together, but because he also knows how she feels about him, he does his best to avoid spending too much time with her. This is the classic swears that they shouldn't be together, but is all in once they are and wonders why he fought it for so long. Olivia and Lucian make a good couple, despite the age difference and it's clear that she accepts him for all that he is. I have to admit that I wasn't completely sold on such a large age gap. I think it helps that they are so well suited and that despite the fact that they are attracted to one another when she is 21, it's another five years before their relationship begins. This was a good read, I read it quickly and wanted to see how their story played out. I wasn't completely sold on all aspects of it, but overall it worked well and I enjoyed it. I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
"I might've just started a mob war, so I'm damn well going to keep the girl I started it for."
Gaaaahh, I've been WAITING for Lucian to get his book ever since reading his brother Sebastian's book! Tara Wyatt has NOT left me disappointed either!
"I want it raw, Liv. I want to fuck you bare and come inside you because you're mine. Nothing between us."
Jesus, Tara sure packed the heat into this one and I loved it! The sexual chemistry and tension between Lucian and Olivia was there right from the start and remained throughout the whole book, which I throughly enjoyed.
"I don't bite," she said, then laughed softly. "I mean, unless that's what you're into." Oh fuck, She was hitting on him, and he was only human. Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck.'
Lol, seeing the ever cool Lucian, lose said cool over a 21 year old hitting on him at the bar, was a sight to see, but props to him for holding off for so long out of respect for Gavin and his professional relationship. Lucian is used to solving everyone else's problems, not finding ones of his own, but it was intriguing to watch him try with Olivia.
His darker background slowly unravels throughout the storyline as his 'above level' business starts to clash with the more shady side of his dealings. This was an interesting mix for me, as obviously, it is stated specfically on a few occasions, both within this books and the previous ones, that Lucian was not part of the mafia, but had dealings with them. I'd been looking forward to seeing exactly how that was going to work and I think Tara managed to do a great job at making his position believable without forcing him to be too much either way.
Although there is a very big age-gap between Lucian and Olivia, I think because Olivia was very mature, it didn't feel as big throughout unless they mentioned it. I'm not a huge fan of an age-gap romance to be honest, not when it's as big as this, but credit to Tara for being able to still have me enjoy this! And I'm SO glad that they first meet when Olivia is 21 and not 18. Even though 18yo's are technically adults, I just think I would have found it a bit weird - but Olivia definitely didn't behave immaturely throughout and I didn't find her confidence in herself or their chemistry annoying.
The only thing I found a little... icky.... was that once together, she kept calling Lucian 'baby.' Now, both of these things are definitely personal preferences as I know that some people like this stuff, but for me personally, I couldn't get into it. Usually I'm fine with 'baby' being a pet name throughout the book, I don't have a huge issue with it, but for some reason, I just didn't love it in this... maybe because she was so young in comparison? I'm not sure, but it wasn't for me.
However, I loved that we didn't have the whole stereotypical 'he has all these model type ex-girlfriends who are now causing problems in our relationship' story. If anything, it sounded like he'd been celibate for the majority of the 5 years, as he couldn't have who he wanted. Likewise, once they decided to be together, it wasn't a load of back and forth about whether one or the other felt the same way etc. they just decided to be together and that was that. I loved the simplicity of it and the fact there was no question about each other's feelings. "I want you to know that I don't deliberately toy with you. I don't see you as some plaything, here for my amusement."
Plus, another huge bonus, is that alongside the constant sexual chemistry, we got the good stuff from around the 50% mark and we got a lot of it after that. "Let's see how pretty this ass looks when it's nice and pink," Instead of having to wait until like 70% until the first time they actually sleep together and then only getting maybe a couple more scenes after.
Overall, I adored this book! I've been waiting for Lucian for so long, and I was a little sceptical because I knew it was going to be a big age-gap, but I really enjoyed it and Lucian is still my favourite Prescott so far! Although there's a lot of push and pull between the pair initially, it didn't get tedious and the chemistry was great. Ugh the first time Lucian kisses her in the restaurant... omg swoon. I would give my first born to trade places with Olivia at the moment! (I'm just kidding... kind of)
There was also a good mix of action throughout and although I thought Gavin seemed a little bit too oblivious to Lucian's feelings for his daughter, I like how his reaction to finding out felt quite believable. LOOOL Gavin trying to not so subtly ask Olivia if she had daddy issues was the funniest thing and one of my favourite parts of the books! This was a great finish to the Prescott series and I can't wait to read about the Prescott cousins, especially if they're anything like these guys. Likewise, it was interesting to see the 'Kings of Hell's Kitchen' and I'm sure their stories will be just as good too!
*ARC received in exchange for an honest review.
*TW: Forced captivity, violence, mention of death, gun use. The author has attached a number of trigger warnings to this book, in relation to the ones listed here. Please take note of them, if you have any triggers, before reading.
Wow, just wow what a powerful, HOT story! These two, when he finally gives in, really burn up the sheets, walls, wherever the find themselves! I loved every minute of Lucian Prescott finally having his happily ever after. If you've been reading this series, you know Lucian is the protector of the family. He solves his younger siblings problems with any means needed. He straddles the line of legitimacy being essentially the mob's Chief of Police. He's the dispute settler, the negotiator who solves problems and quiets situations that flair up. Wow what a man! I loved every minute of this story.
Olivia Walsh comes into Lucian's life when he meets his new major investor's daughter at her 21st birthday party at one of his clubs. He's gobsmacked by her. She's beautiful, flirty, fun and full of life. He's 18 years older that her and knows she's off limits. She doesn't get the message and every time they meet she flirts with him. To say they have chemistry is an understatement. When his ray of sunshine calls him one night needing a ride home after being attacked by a former boyfriend who won't take no for an answer things make a radical change. The guy Massimo, is the Italian mob hit man and a real douche treating women badly. Lucian steps in and takes her home to his place as Massimo was waiting at her apartment when they get there. This changes their relationship permanently as well as his position with the mob. It was so much fun watching these two dance around each other until he finally can't stay away. The best news is the series isn't over. Now we can look forward to the three cousins we've been getting peeks at, Noah, Hudson & Levi. And Lucian's Hells Kitchen guys will be getting their own series. Wins all around!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is the book that most of Tara's reader's have been waiting for the elusive Lucian Prescott and wow it certainly didn't disappoint her reader's.
This I book four in The Prescott's series and it is Lucian and Olivia's story and it was absolutely amazing and a must read. Lucian had given up so much of his soul to protect his family and he wouldn't have it any other way as they were the most important people in his life. Lucian also knew that he would never get a happy ending like his family had managed to achieve regardless of what they had all been through but he accepted that as long as he could be there for them, protect them and be there for anything that they need even though they had no idea what he did in his life and he wanted it to stay that way. Olivia studied to be a interior designer and now she was qualified she needed to add new designs to her portfolio to prove her worth and all she needed was for someone to give her a chance. Lucian and Olivia met when her dad have her a 21st birthday party at one of Lucian's club's but even though there chemistry was off the charts not she was eighteen years younger than him and not only couldn't be go there as her dad was one of the investors in his company but also be wouldn't put her in danger because of his life style so he would have to admire her from afar to keep her safe. There are many twists and turns along the way and the connection and chemistry between them is so strong that when they are together it is so hot that all I can say is wow mind your kindle doesn't melt and have a glass of something cold be side you as you are definitely going to need it to cool yourself down. I couldn't put this book down as it was so addictive that it keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. The characters and storyline pulled you in right from the first page and you had to keep reading until the last one and this book is a true masterpiece and my favourite book in this amazing series. Tara Wyatt is an amazing author and writer and I definitely recommend you read this book, series and other books by her and you will definitely not be disappointed as she certainly knows how to write a page turner and keep her reader's attention. I can't wait to read the books of The Prescott Cousin's, Helps Kitchen and hopefully Olivia's friend's as they seem a great and funny bunch.
I enjoyed this one immensely. Lucian and Olivia are just perfect for each other. I loved the dynamic between them, and the flashbacks during the first few chapters really solidified their bond. Lucian is just so swoon-worthy, I can't! One thing I'm disappointed about was that the ending felt very rushed and the potentially dangerous situation was resolved way too quickly. Overall, great read, and can't wait to read the other Prescott brothers stories!
It's finally here !! Anyone who has read The Prescott series has been waiting for the oldest brother Lucian's story. He has always been on the side lines of all the other books, coming to the aid of his brothers and sister. The proctor, saver, father figure to his family. In every book you just know there is something special and a little dark about him. Now we get to really know him. Not only is he sexy as sin itself, and one of the city's most eligible bachelors. He is now in his mid-forties and a very successful business man and CEO of the Prescott company. Lucian has deep, dark secrets that not even his brothers know about. One of the best keep secret is that he has been in love with a women eighteen years younger than him for over five years. He works hard to keep her at arm's length. This is harder than it sounds as Olivia is also the daughter of his largest investor !! Olivia has had all the benefits that money, and a wealthy family name can give a person. She lost her mother at a young age and her father has gone out of his way to see she was taken care of and loved. She should want for nothing except she has never been able to find a boyfriend or have a long-term affair as she is always comparing all the boys, men she meets to the one she has loved for over five years. Lucian is all she wants and can't have as he will not let them be close. He is always telling her that he is now good enough, he's too old, she is too good for him. The standoff ends between these two when and ex-boyfriend turns out to be on nasty piece of work and not only, will not leave her along but threatens her life. Now Lucian will do anything to save her and she trust no one but him. As their love heats up and WOW does it heat up and the danger gets closer. Will Lucian and his buddies be able to protect her ?? Will the nasty bad guy win ? There is many twists and turns for the new lovers to deal with. This is a very action packed, steamy story. It also gives hints to a new series that sounds great. I hope you get a copy and plan on not doing anything once you start because you will not be able to put it down.... you might have to cool down you kindle or tablet thru !!! I received and ARC from the author and wish to thank her . This is my honest opinion and am freely giving it.
Lucian Prescott’s story is finally here, and it’s hotter than the dog days of summer! If you’ve read any (or hopefully all) of the books about his younger siblings, you know Lucian will take care of them…by any means possible. He’s at, the very least, friendly with the mob. And we find out just how friendly in his story. But just because he might be a bad guy doesn’t mean he’s a “bad guy”…right? At least I’ve heard that line in some movie! The real surprise in this book is Olivia, the twenty-something daughter of one of Lucian’s investors. They’ve been dancing around a mutual attraction for years…so what makes that attraction ignite into an inferno that neither wants to put out!? Read the book and you’ll find out! But Olivia is definitely not a shy wallflower and can more than keep up with, as well as completely trust and support, my favorite Prescott. Yup, Lucian is my favorite Prescott and this is my favorite book of the series. I loved this couple both as individuals as well as their relationship together. And yes, this surprised me, because I don’t do books or series with mob/mafia themes. It’s not my thing and if this had been book one, I’m not sure I would have started the series. But dang, I’m glad I did. So multitudes of kudos for this series, for luscious Lucian and for bringing this reader out of her comfort zone. I’m sorry to see this branch of the Prescott family go, but I can’t wait to delve deeper into their cousins’ stories!
I've been waiting for this book for sooo long! It is so extraordinary fulfilling for the end of the series to be the best of the series.
This is (finally!) the story of Lucian. You've seen him helping his brothers and their women and now he gets to meet his match. And what a match she is! There are a lot of super dirty moments, a lot of sensual tension, all so well written.
There is some darkness here as Lucian threads the water between the mafia organizations of New York. Except this necessary darkness for the plot everything was absolutely spectacular. The characters are amazing, I love so much about them, how loving and caring he was, brooding but not dark, and how loving, caring, sweet, witty and absolutely powerful she was. There is nothing like a story where the princess saves herself. Ultimately, there were the Kins of Hell's Kitchen. Not because they operate in one of my favorite places on earth but this guys will surely have a special place in my library shaped heart. Can't wait to read their story!
I cannot recommend this book enough, it is everything I hoped Lucian story would be and so much more, sitting on the perfect balanced line between sweet and dark gray. Loved it!
I received a copy of this in exchange for my honest review.
I tried...I really did, but I just couldn't make myself finish. I WANTED to like it, but I am adamantly opposed to books where the heroine is willing to lose all sense of self and pride to doggedly pursue the hero. Like she's in heat.
BAD INTENTIONS is the fourth instalment in Tara Wyatt’s contemporary, adult THE PRESCOTTS erotic, Mafia, crime-world series focusing on the Prescott family. This is forty-five year old, CEO of the Prescott Group and head of the Kings of Hell’s Kitchen Lucian Prescott, and twenty-six year old, interior designer Olivia Walsh’s story line. BAD INTENTIONS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Lucian and Olivia) using present day and memories from the past, BAD INTENTIONS follows the forbidden, older man /younger woman romance and relationship between forty-five year old, CEO of the Prescott Group and head of the Kings of Hell’s Kitchen Lucian Prescott, and twenty-six year old, interior designer Olivia Walsh. Approximately five years earlier, Lucian Prescott fell in love with his business partner’s daughter, a woman eighteen years his junior, and thusly off limits. Over the next five years, Julian and Olivia would randomly meet at parties and get togethers but it is not until her father asks a favor does Julian know Olivia is now his for the claiming. But…when Olivia’s ex-boyfriend begins to demand everything and more, Julian becomes guardian and protector of the woman that calls to his heart. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Julian and Olivia, and the potential fall-out when an assassin sets his sights on our story line heroine.
Julian Prescott is the head of a group known as the Kings of Hell’s Kitchen, a well connected group of former members of organized crime who act as go-betweens when the criminal underworld take aim at one another but Julian will quickly discover Olivia’s ex is as dangerous as they come, and Julian is no longer satisfied to sit back and wait for someone else to take control. Olivia Walsh has known since the first time she laid eyes on Julian Prescott, that he would one day be her man but Olivia’s business is about to take off, and if not for her ex on the constant prowl, everything about her life would be perfect. When the threats against Olivia become more dangerous and dark, Julian calls in help from the Kings of Hell’s Kitchen but even they are not infallible when someone else is determined to take back what doesn’t belong
The relationship between Julian and Olivia is older man/younger woman (May-December romance) wherein five years of lusting after one another finally comes to fruition. Olivia’s father is not impressed with Olivia’s choice in men but Julian is the perfect foil for the man that is targeting our story line heroine. Julian has always believed he would never settle down but when threats against Olivia bring Julian front and center, Julian knows that it is only a matter of time before he claims Olivia as his own. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense.
There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including all of the previous story lines couples, as well as the Kings of Hell’s Kitchen:Luca Romano, Ryu Shiroda, Killian Byrne and Sasha Petrov. We are introduced to Olivia’s father Gavin Walsh, several of our heroine’s BFFs, , her ex Massimo Greco, and Julian’s cousins Noah, Hudson and Levi.
BAD INTENTIONS is a story of family, friendships, relationships and love; a story of betrayal and vengeance, obsession and retribution, power and control. The fast paced premise is gritty and captivating; the romance is spicy and provocative; the characters are energetic, powerful and determined. BAD INTENTIONS is my first story by Tara Wyatt, but it definitely won’t be my last- I am going to have to go back to the beginning, where it all began.

Review: This book does have a content warning so if you don't like dark romance this will not be for you. I would double check the warning before reading. Everyone has their limits, I appreciate that the author put a warning right away. Now on to the review. I have not read the other books in the series. But just from the beginning of the book I know that it won't be long before I buy them and absolutely devour them, maybe even right now. I haven't been this obsessed with a book in a long time and I've read some fantastic books this year. I cannot wait to see what is to come for the Prescott cousins as well as the series for the King's of Hell's Kitchen. I think I am most excited for Killian's story. I'm officially hooked on the series and I'm ready for more. There is an age gap but the way they talk reminds me of my boyfriend and I. We have a ten year gap they have an 18 year gap.
This is the fourth book in the Prescotts series. I have been waiting for this book since I got my first intro to Lucien. This book was everything I expected and more. Lucien and Olivia are hot together, pretty sure there was smoke coming off my tablet. Excellent read! I'm so happy to see the Prescotts cousins and the Kings of Hell’s Kitchen are going getting their own series. You get to know them a little bit in this book. I've loved all the Prescotts books but my heart belongs to Lucien. He loves his family, he's protective, and while he skirts the law, and downright breaks it from time to time, he has his own code of right and wrong. Lucien is the mysterious Prescott, the one that has all the connections to fix things and make problems disappear. He doesn't believe that love, marriage or babies are in his future, even if Olivia is the only woman he has wanted for the last five years but she's too young, her father's one of his biggest investors and his hands are too dirty with the things he's done to keep his family safe over the years. He's settled for staying away from her keeping an eye on her, making sure she's safe, that is until her father shows up asking Lucien for a favor. Can Lucien work with Olivia and keep his hands to himself or will he finally give into what he's wanted for the last five years? Can Olivia accept Lucien for who he is and what he's done in the past?
I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
This was an entertaining read. It had lots of steam, lots of angst and a good story. My only complaint would be that there are so many characters that it can get a bit confusing at times and I think it would help to have read these books in order which I didn’t do because this was a copy that I received from Goodreads for review. That being said I would like to go back and read the others.
Normally I would not read books with an age difference over 10 years (here 18) but I fell in love reading about Lucian in The Prescott’s #3 (Love Bug) he was such a mysterious character that I had to know more!!! Especially after the Teaser!
Lucian and Olivia are such a great match I loved learning about their story and I loved how it was told, giving an insight in how long and how they already knew each other.
So definitely recommended (18+ the spice level is a step up from the last one)
Bad Intentions is the story of Lucian and Olivia. Both are attracted to each other for five years now. Despite the age gap they have, Olivia wants him and she doesn't shy away from telling him that. Lucian thinks that he's too old for her and dangerous so he never pursued her in 5 years. But circumstances bring them together and now Lucian doesn't think he can stop his feelings for her. And when he got to know that Olivia is in danger all dam broke. He will do anything to protect her. Even though he is involved in dangerous business and wants Olivia to stay away from it.
This story has its moments, some funny, some thrilling, some loving, many steamy.
Even though I'm not a great fan of age gap troops I still gave this book a try because I found the blurb of the story interesting. But the age gap was mentioned way too many times for my liking. And it also felt repetitive in some places.
Despite all this, I did enjoy the story. I would be definitely reading more books from this author, Tara Wyatt. I'm curious about Lucian's brother's stories and they're already published under this series.
She has hinted many more stories for Lucian's three cousins and the member of The Hell's Kitchen and I'm looking forward to those too. 😊
Thank you, NetGalley, the publisher, and author for providing me an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review. 🙏🏾❤

I'm sorry it took me so long to finish this book. Real life is driving me crazy.
Lucian is my favorite character in this series. Ever since his first appearance in the first book, I've always been so curious about his mysterious lifestyle. I really love his character because he is a very loving and caring person who takes care of his beloved ones. It really swoons me. So I had a high expectation for this book. But turned out it wasn't like what I expected. I'm pretty disappointed actually. First of all, I don't like the age gap between Lucian and Olivia. I mean, 18 freaking years age gap! Seriously?? It was huge.
And I can't believe I'm saying this... But there were too many sex scenes. And I think some of the timing was inappropriate. I mean, do you really need to have sex every time you do something together? really?
I don't really like Olivia's character that she wasn't that memorable to me. All I remember about her was she dated assholes guys because she couldn't have Lucian.
I don't really feel the connection between Lucian and Olivia because I feel like the story is too focused on Lucian's "secret job". I don't even see the "awesomeness" of Olivia although she was described as a smart, talented young girl. I don't really understand how the story went... It was too cliffy and confusing for me. I don't know how was that project Olivia was given by Lucian to decorate his new bar at the end. Because it's like the story just stopped there hanging.
After 4 books, I still don't like the author's style to end the story with 'bonus epilogue' by forcing the reader to subscribe to her mailing list. I don't read them anyway. So for me the story just stop there as written on the book.
Thank you so much to the author, publisher and NetGalley for providing me this ARC in exchange for an honest review written above.
Bad Intentions is the last book in The Prescotts series and is the story of Lucian, the eldest of the siblings and for whom I have a crush since the first book. Lucian Prescott is an enigmatic man, serious and who takes the role of father to his siblings, always supporting and giving them good advices. I was so curious to meet the girl who would steal his heart; now that all the siblings have found love, Lucian is a spectator of their happiness but the truth is, for years he has been interested in a woman. Lucian is a businessman, entrepreneur, intelligent, protective, cautious and loyal. Despite being involved in the mafia, he has values and a high sense of justice. Olivia is 18 years younger than him, but she's enthusiastic, confident and knows what she wants: Lucian. However, he resists her attempts at seduction. The main reasons: Olivia Walsh is the daughter of her main investor, the age gap and the connections that Lucian has can represent a danger for her.
I loved this couple and am satisfied with the development of their story. Liv and Lucian's chemistry is quite palpable and it increases as their interactions progress. There is also the part of the Knights of Hell’s Kitchen, an organization led by Lucian and in which they give us a glimpse of the other members of the Prescott clan, their cousins Noah, Hudson and Levi for whom I am dying to know more. In conclusion: it’s an entertaining book and I’m more in love with Lucian Prescott 😍. Bad Intentions is out now, so cheer up to read it ☺️.
This is the last book for the Prescott siblings and kind of the one you were waiting for if you read any of the others. Lucian played a part in at least all of the brother’s stories and you always wanted to know a little more about him. Also to note - you really don’t need to have read the previous books to enjoy this one. You won’t have the back story on the siblings, but you can still enjoy the story.
Lucian straddles two worlds in his everyday life and it’s interesting to see the navigation. He loves hard in his inner circle, but doesn’t think he deserve the same romantic ending he helps his family achieve.
Olivia is the very junior daughter to the most important investor of his hospitality group. They met on her 21st birthday and the chemistry was immediate and constant since.
He spends his time protecting her from the ugly side of his life while denying them both. That is until her ex places her right in the middle.
Although I’m not usually a fan of books associated with organized crime in any way, I have to say I really enjoyed this and will most likely continue reading any of the new series that come from this. The author pulls you in and makes you care about the characters.
While I still have the sister’s book to read, I can’t wait for the new books coming up.
Lucian Prescott. If you've been following the first three Prescott brothers, you'd find Lucian always being there. He always fitted the part of the protector, it was his trait, taking care of others.
I've always wondered what kind of a woman Lucian would end up with. What kind of a woman would he finally fall for. Or in other words, make him fall to his knees.
Tara Wyatt wrote Lucian's story with such a beautiful edge to it. Actually, all her books have that beauty in them, but believe me when I say I've never expected this book to be oh-so-great.
I don't normally read romance books that travel into the darker side of our world, namely including the mobs─or Bratva or any other term for it─but wow, did this book want me to try other books similar to this.
Lucian and Olivia's story is the end of The Prescotts series, but it's introduced the Kings of Hell's Kitchen, and I can't wait to read those four men's stories! Along with Lucian's cousins as well, of course.
In short, Bad Intentions is an amazing read, and it's five-stars worthy for me.
An ARC was given by the author and this is my honest review. All opinions are my own.
I was eagerly anticipating this book, and it did not disappoint! I liked that Olivia was in her mid-twenties and had established her own life-- so many age gap romances feature a heroine that is barely legal or in their early twenties and hasn't really matured on their own yet. I also liked that Lucian explained his reasons for things like Olivia's protection to her, so she cooperated, rather than brattily disobeying because she didn't know the rationale. Anyway, great story and I'm looking forward to the spinoff series. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Intense and all in dichotomy I was looking forward to this last part, with the darkest Prescott's brothers, Lucian. His story is more tender and very hot when it comes to his relationship with Olivia, which he has rejected for 5 years because of their age gap. But when it comes to his unofficial work with members of the crime scene, he becomes formidable. I loved this opposition of these two personalities, and also how Olivia fits in. Their story is very well written, fascinating, torrid, while remaining tender, all surrounded by mortal threats, attacks, betrayals.
Finally we got Lucian’s story. I will be honest and say that i did not really love him in The other books, mostly because he was so closed off. But now i know why he is who he is and I really loved him. His love interest Olivia Walsh was also really fantastic. I loved The fact that Lucian were a friend of Gavin, Olivias dad
Olivia Walsh and Lucian Prescott have been pining, and lusting, after each other for years. 5 years, to be exact. Ever since her 21st birthday party at one of his clubs. In Lucian’s eyes, it’s as forbidden as forbidden can get for him. With an age gap of 18 years and the fact that Olivia’s father is an investor in his company, one he can’t afford to lose, Lucian tries his utmost to keep his hands, among other things, to himself. To him, Olivia is too pure and too good for the life he lives. A life he considers far from safe for his Olivia. For years, Olivia and Lucian have been flirting with each other every chance they got, Olivia especially. And for years, Lucian kept pushing her in the other direction, one he deemed best and safe for his sweet Liv. But after a favor granted to her father, both realize that whatever it is between them, cannot be ignored much longer.
When I first read the blurb, I was super excited to get my hands on it. It sounded like something meant exactly for little old me. When I finally got the chance to read it, I was ecstatic and couldn’t put it down for a while. I usually prefer dual first person, but I loved the writing in this book, absolutely loved it. Which surprised me, because a few chapters in, I had completely forgotten that this book was written in the third person. To me, this book seemed like a good and healthy mix of the CEO + mafia trope, but dialed down a few notches. And I was into it, wholeheartedly. Everything I loved can be summed up as: - age gap - forbidden - mutual pining - SPICE - underground organizations of sorts/mafia
However, I started to get annoyed at the end. Lucian, for example, was much too open about his ‘second, darker life’ with Olivia. She didn’t have to pry for information, nor did she accidentally uncover bits and pieces of the truth by herself, to then be told the story in its entirety. Or maybe that’s just what I expected, because that’s usually how it goes in these. Another example is Olivia getting tricked. It was a dumb mistake on her part, but a mistake that really didn’t make sense. Olivia is a smart woman, so it really annoyed me how she easily fell for that one trap she’d already been suspicious of, voiced out loud no less. But these things can be easily forgiven, however. I forgive them. See? Easy.
Another thing I loved was the conflict at the end. The fight scene. The rescue mission, if you will. Oh, my goodness, how I’ve missed those kinds of chapters. I haven’t read something like this is a while. With guns and violence and blood. It was by no means gory or anything, but just the fact that there was this rescue chapter, really made my heart smile. It made me ten times happier that it was Olivia who got revenge, and not that she was avenged.
Now, the villain of this story? I couldn’t for the life of me, take him seriously. Not only did he behave childishly at times, at least in my opinion, but this man was so foolish and so reckless. It’s not a dark book by any means, so this kind of villain I can forgive. Especially with the way it’s handled at the end. But the real, real, real reason I couldn’t take this man seriously, was his name. Massimo. Massimo Greco. All I could think of was Massimo in 365 days. That movie ruined this character for me, truly. And that’s not at all the fault of this author, but my own brain. I kept reading his name, and every time I just giggled.
In short, I enjoyed this book immensely, and I’m excited to read more of Tara Wyatt’s work. Especially now that I know The Kings of Hell’s Kitchen are getting their own series. I sure hope Ryu gets his own book, because him arriving at the mansion on his bike really made me weak in the knees. If you’re reading this, Tara Wyatt, what do you think about an ex Yakuza-member granting asylum to a woman born and raised in Japan, on the run from the Yakuza? Forced proximity, slow-burn, friends to lovers maybe? I would do the unthinkable for a POC/Asian-leads underground organization romance.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
‘It’s like stepping into the sun after living in the shadows for decades. It’s like breathing fresh air after being buried alive. You do something to me that I can’t even explain. For five years now, it’s been you.’
4,5 stars.
Yessssss!!! This book was the perfect completion of this series. I loved Lucian, he was by far the best hero of all brothers in this series. He loved Olivia for five years, all this time holding back because she was 18 years his minor and because he didn’t want her exposed to his dangerous life. He watched her from afar, dared to flirt a bit and savored every minute he could spend in her presence, until he couldn’t hold back any longer and claimed her as his. He was so alpha, a protective bad boy, who would go through fire to protect his woman. Olivia was a great heroine. She was funny, had wit and wasn’t afraid of Lucian and his bad boy friends. She also didn’t give up on Lucian, even though he pushed her away for years. This book had a good romance, some suspense, a lot of VERY HOT sex scenes and the HEA I wanted Lucian to have.
Safe read. No OW drama, but some OM drama which caused all the suspense. Heroine dated OM and wasn’t celibate since meeting the hero 5 years ago. That didn’t put me off, since he was the one keeping her at arms length and didn’t want to let it go any further. Hero’s past isn’t discussed in detail, but while reading his POV I’m certain that he was celibate since meeting her. That’s just my truth and I will hold on to that, lol. No cheating, no sex with OP.
Trigger warning: violence, guns, murder and speaking of sexual assault. This is also mentioned by the author at the start of the book.
