This story starts off with a bang and just got way more dark and sinister throughout. I’ve said it before and I know I keep saying it but this author just gets more darker and twisted with every book that comes out! I bet inside his head is one scary but interesting place to be.

You don’t have to be a parent to understand the dilemma that Sean finds himself in. To be put in the cruel and heartless position of having to choose to save only one of your children’s lives. Is there anything more unima

We are plunged straight into the action with the prologue.
Then in the first chapter the tension is ramped up straight away as the boys are late home from cadets. They are missing….
We are told the story from Sean (the dad’s) point of view, the boys, and the baddie.
Sean, the boys and Brian (the grand dad) are endearing characters, Brian is so supportive. Sean’s love for his sons shines through, he has guilt issues from his past. The boys are well adjusted and love each other, the baddie is

What would you do if your boys went missing then you were sent a dvd asking you to choose which one of them dies?
But that's just the beginning!
I thought I knew which direction this book was going but boy was I wrong. The master of twisted has done it again . A fast paced gory stomach churning book that's not just electrifying it's terrifying and I loved it

Brilliant Horror Novel
Wow! Saying this book was unputdownable, is the biggest understatement ever. The story line is one that every parent can relate to. The easy to read short chapters (which I love) had me flying through the pages. The set up and plot were so well done, that it felt truly terrifying. Add to that an ending that was edge of your seat thrilling.
The only negative thought I have, I truly believe the author would have a much bigger audience if he wasn't so excessive with the graphi

"I have both your sons, Mr Levitt. One of them must die. You choose!"

How can anyone, any parent, even contemplate such a demand, let alone come up with a decision? No one should be put in such a frightful position. Mark Tilbury enjoys digging out the most terrifying situations from deep inside his warped mind and turn them into nail-biting bestsellers.

I have 'enjoyed' all the books I've read by this author, but this one must be up there among his best and darkest to date. As a parent of two

Another of Mark Tilburys books that kept me up past my bed time because I couldn't put it down. Wow, what a story and what an ending!!
Sean Levitt is a desperate dad trying to help his sons who are being held by a truly evil man. I felt so much sympathy for Sean and was so hoping he would get a happy ending!
The story was full of suspense, never knowing what the antagonist would do next, there seemed no limits to his depravity, although I felt I shouldn't, I did sometimes laugh a little at his war

Some authors promise nerve-shredding, heart-pounding tension and shocking thrills. Mark Tilbury delivers.

The story of Sean Levitt, and his sons Peter (15) and (13). The boys get abducted. The chilling first communication from the abductor makes it clear that 'One Must Die', offering Sean the impossible decision as to which son will survive.

So begins a relentlessly dark and tense tale, with the two boys held captive under the very real threat of torture and dad Sean facing the psychological torme

Well, what can I say? Mark has done it again! Although he said to me that this one wasn’t as dark as his others, it is believe me!

I wonder if he has nightmares when he’s writing? It is one cracking read, from Mr Twisted himself. What would you do in these circumstances? How could you choose between your children? I really can’t imagine the pain that Sean would be feeling. With every DVD that pops through door his heart would plummet wondering what was next.

How can one family go through so much pain and loss. Sean Levitt has already been tragically widowed and left with two young sons. Now his sons are in dire danger and he needs to save them, only he has been instructed that he can only save one! To choose which child should die is unthinkable. For them to choose another persons demise is unimaginable. To imagine their torture would be unbearable. To read this all in my head, to palpably feel the pain and fear this book evokes and the gut wrenchin ...more

Well you can see why he earned the nickname ‘twisted’. Some aspects of this book really aren’t for the faint-hearted. The storyline is cleverly written with a number of red herrings that left me grasping for the reason behind the kidnappings, torture and other atrocities. Brilliantly written with an excellent plot line. The characters are so clearly written that you find their actions emotional. In my case despising the tormentor, sorry for the father and heartache for the two boys.

Wow I don’t know where to start as this book absolutely smashed it out the ball park. One must die has everything the emotional side where a father is put into the position of making shocking choices to save his sons lives, but then he must chose which one should die. The author takes you on a twisted journey of decision making, horrific pain that made me screw my eyes up and death. If you want a book that’s not for the faint hearted, gruesome then this book has it all well done Mr Tilbury I can ...more

Twisted Tilbury is an apt moniker for this author. The protagonist is evil, & very unpredictable. The storyline is clever & unexpected.

Peter & Ben Levitt disappear on the way to army cadets; that’s the point when Sean Levitt’s world collapses. How can he choose which son is to live & which is to die? Those are his instructions, received on DVDs, from the captor but that’s not all…
The pace keeps you on edge throughout. It’s very dark & quite graphic in places; it is Mr Tilbury after all.

Sean Levitt is still grieving the loss of his beautiful wife when his two teenage sons disappear!!!! He begins to receive dvd's from the kidnapper which are horrific and has to choose which son dies and which one stays alive.

I was totally immersed in this story from the beginning and my stomach churned at the horror the boys were going through, the author didn't hold back on the details.

An amazing story I can't recommend highly enough. Huge 5 stars.

How do you pick which of your children will survive when taken by a madman?
This is the choice that Sean Levitt is expected to make when his sons, Peter and Ben aged 15 and 13 go missing.

Sean is sent DVD’s and if he doesn’t do what he is told to do, his children will be hurt in some way. With the police getting nowhere, Sean must do all he can to keep his children alive.

This is an intense and emotive read. A story that reels you in from the start. At times, an extremely difficult story to read,

Tilbury is back and even more twisted than ever! How Do You Choose Which Of Your Sons Should Die is the tag line. Personally it is something that I could never do, but that isn’t the case with Sean Levitt when he receives a message a few days after his boys go missing!

This story grabs you round the throat and doesn’t let you go until the very end. Tilbury takes twisted to a whole new level. It is dark, torturous and very sinister. Fall of nail biting uncomfortable, shocking moments.

Mr Tilbury, as we know, is twisted.

This tale from the annals of Feelham however, is so twisted, so well written and so amazing, you may feel like the child in The Exorcist with your head spinning round and throwing up.

The one interesting fact I have is that hydrochloric acid is the part of the acid in your stomach …. Just in case you need to know.

Yes, yet another amazing book from the amazing Mark Tilbury, twisted and now a bit gnarly too.

Dark, sinister, horrific and terrifingly realistic but you would expect nothing less from Mark Tilbury. The storyline is clever and well thought out, the protagonist is evil beyond belief, totally mad and dangerously unpredictable. The police seem to be struggling to come up with a tangible lead in to the disappearance of two young boys and to the identity of the monster behind the sickening videos that are being sent to their father. Would he ever see the boys alive again?

At some point, most - if not all - parents will experience the worry of their child not returning home when expected. In the vast majority of cases, it's a short-lived concern with a mundane reason for their tardiness but in One Must Die, to say Sean Levitt's worst fears are realised would be an understatement.
When his teenage sons, Peter and Ben don't return from army cadets and he then discovers that they didn't even turn up there earlier that evening, people try to convince him that there wil
