Saved By You is Monica Arya’s debut novel. It is a medical/workplace romance, age-gap, virgin, romance with a messy love triangle. Zara Singh has had a tough past which has made her extremely hard-working. She is one of five first-year residents at a Boston hospital. Zara has always fought her battles on her own and has no need for a charming prince. Jay Remington is Boston’s most eligible bachelor and a successful surgeon with a dark past. A series of twists bring Zara and Jay together, they fall in love, but it seems they’re not destined to be together. Secrets and lies from their past threaten to destroy any chance of their happiness. The question is will they be able to fight against the threats and end up together?

Zara and Jay have intense chemistry and I enjoyed seeing them together. Their relationship is complex and there’s a lot of back and forth. Zara has another love interest in the form of one of her fellow residents, Jackson. This love triangle is messy. Zara and Jay are meant to be together, but the heart fights against the mind causing complications.

Zara, while not necessarily naïve, was inexperienced in love and she craved the attention Jay and Jackson gave her. As a result of this, her actions don’t always make sense at the beginning. As the book went on, I enjoyed Zara’s growth, her strength, and her commitment to following her heart. Jay was possessive, protective, and jealous. He wanted to stay away from Zara because of the darkness of his past, but their attraction couldn’t have been helped.

Saved by You has an interesting storyline with unexpected twists and turns, and great characters with twisted and complicated pasts. This is a story of fighting through the darkness for love.

AMAZING STORY!

Zara is not having a good day.  She is a new surgical intern resident attending the prestigious Harvard Hospital and is late for day one of orientation.  As soon as she enters the lobby of the hospital coffee somehow splashes out of her thermos onto her scrubs and as she is trying to wipe at it she drops her surgery textbooks and then runs into a wall.

When she looks up she realizes that the wall was, in fact, the very hard abs of a tall gorgeous man.  His designer suit was better suited to a GQ photo spread than a hospital lobby.

She is in a small group of interns for the next five years.  They are being referred to as 'the fresh five' throughout the hospital.  Sloane is the only other woman and then there are Carter, Jackson, and Maverick.  These will be the closest people to her in the next five years and she is excited to meet them.

They are having a small break between speakers and in the process of introducing themselves to each other when the door to the orientation room opens and in walks their next speaker.  F*ck Her Life!  It's the man who ran into her this morning and who she had yelled at and called 'pretty boy'.

Jay was the lead trauma surgeon and attending physician for the residency program at Harvard Hospital and everyone was scared of him.  He was told that he doesn't smile enough, doesn't joke, and is too serious.  He's also known as Boston's Billionaire Bachelor since he also owns half of Boston.

He's here to work, teach, and move on.  He leads an emotion-free life and he's very happy with that.  Until this morning when he saw a tall, stunning, flustered woman in the distance.  It was very obvious that she was a new resident and he idly wondered what program she was in.

He decided to have a bit of fun and deliberately stepped into her path making sure that she rammed into him.  Imagine his surprise when she is one of his interns.

Fate cannot be this cruel.  He finally finds someone to love after all these years and it is the last person who would ever love him.  If she ever found out what he had done and who she was sleeping with she would not only hate him but herself.  He always knew his past would catch up to him.

I loved this book!  It is very well written and all of the characters are fully developed and totally relatable.  This storyline is WOW!  Major twist and you are held in suspense waiting for Zara to find out the truth.  I cried and cried some more, but Monica Arya doesn't stop there.  No, she has to throw in a few more twists and a MAJOR curveball at the end of this book.

Zara is determined to be the best trauma surgeon she can be.  Her passion was have been as an OBGYN, but trauma was the highly pay out there and due to her family's past tragedy that took everything from them she wanted to be able to send money to her parents.  She is a twenty-five-year-old virgin who never had a boyfriend due to her strict Indian heritage and studying 24/7 and now finds herself in a position of juggling two men.

Jay has a secret.  A life-altering secret that he knows will lose him Zara, but he can't lose her.  She is the love of his life.  He doesn't know how he will survive without her.

The passion between Zara and Jay is panty melting and then there is Jackson with his Southern charm.  The end of this book will put you through the wringer emotionally, but there is a HEA.

Amazing book and I highly recommend it!  Looking forward to seeing more from this new author in the future!!!

"I would rather feel every painful moment than lose out on all the emotions life is meant to be filled with. I would rather endure heartbreak than never know what love feels like..."

Never been in love first year surgical resident Dr. Zara Singh has an open heart which makes her sizzling instant chemistry with older rich closed off Dr. Jay Remington that much harder to keep under control. Saved By You by debut author Monica Arya plays with our emotions more than most sexy romances.

Jay has promised himself to never fall in love again after the heartbreaking tragedy of his past. Then he literally bumps into Zara. Zara has dedicated her life to being a doctor and to one day being able to help her parents after their awful loss when she was 8 years old. Both of them have been scarred from their past and in a twist fate has put them on a path to realize their tragedies have more in common than they could ever imagine.

I have to say I was surprised how much I enjoyed this story. It is not just a sexy romp about a rich man falling for the poor virgin. There is a real emotional story here and the writer had me fully invested in it. What I was impressed with was not just their unknown connection, which I somewhat had an inkling about, but there truly is a jaw dropping reveal at the end that is thriller worthy.

If you are in the mood to swoon over some steamy lovemaking, enjoy the soap opera back and forth of trying not to fall in love and be blind sided by the real villain of this story pick this book up now.

I received a free copy of this book from the author for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.

Top Medical Drama Romance Novel

Do you like drama? Do you like fancy medical dramas that are on TV, specifically those with multiple seasons and big casts? (yes that's the one)

If you have ever answered yes to these questions this is the book for you. It's got ALL the bases covered and you won't regret reading this book for a minute.

Zara is young and sheltered. For what she doesn't have in experience she makes up with enthusiasm. She's thrown herself constantly into the education part of her life and let it consume her so that she has little emotional & relationship based intelligence… Does it excuse all of her crummy behaviors? No. But it makes her more redeemable.

Jay is a possessive asshole who does the back and forth dance of 'I want her but shouldn't have her' and 'fucking stay away from her she's mine'.

Okay so… here's what I can say without any further chances of spoilers:

- There are like 4 or 5 characters that I don't want to strangle at any one point or another in the novel.
- The plot was evident in the idea moving towards the conflict like a perfect train wreck that I couldn't stop reading.
- It's very steamy but not so steamy you've gotta worry about the face you make when reading.

It's a twisty road. Hold on to your hats!

This was a heartbreaking journey for Jay and Zara. I loved them from their first meeting and throughout this whole book I was captivated by their story and their romance. A beautiful story as told by Monica Arya of two people who find love only to be torn apart by a tragedy that occurred many years before thus resulting in both of them facing heartbreak. It is also a story of second chances and Jay and Zara get their second chance at love. Their chemistry is unbelievably hot and their love and respect is what endeared me to their story. This is my first book by this author but I will be reading more of her work to come because I was totally immersed in this story and I am eager to read more about all of these wonderful characters.

This book is Amazing!! I love it from the first page; I can’t believe this is the first Monica book because it is just phenomenal and breaking-taking.
Jay and Zara have fantastic chemistry, and I love them so much. You will find more good characters like Jackson that, at some point, don’t like so much, but in the end, I was sorry for him. I don’t want to say too much more; I just need you to know this is a perfect romance with a twist. A must-read; I highly recommend it.

I really liked this book. Zara and Jay are great characters. Zara is a first yr surgical intern under Jay a playboy billionaire surgeon. They want each other, but Jackson, another first yr surgical intern wants Zara too. It's a love triangle, while Zara is still a virgin because of cultural beliefs and her busy studying schedule. There are plot twists and you find out Zara and Jay have a connection neither one knew about. Would recommend this book.

Wow who would ever believe that this book is the authors debut novel?? It was outstanding, congrats on an awesome book.

I loved every single thing about this book, the storyline, the setting, the characters, the writing just everything. I literally devoured the whole book as quickly as I could.

Zara and Jay had an instant connection, and a chemistry that was off the charts and one most people dream about when looking for a partner.

🖤 Instalove
🖤 Second Chance
🖤 Tragedy
🖤 Hospital Drama
🖤 Billionaire

Tragically Zara had something awful happen to her family and this plays a huge part in her life now and could really alter both Zara and Jays future. Let’s just hope the huge amount of love they have for one another pulls them through.

What an awesome guy Jay is, he pays attention to everything about Zara and really goes out his way to cherish her, pretty much like my husband minus the billionaire status haha.

Fantastic book and I am super excited to see what you bring us next Monica.

FIVE STARS! Monica Arya's debut was steaming hot with an incredible storyline. The love triangle was one of the best I've seen done in a novel. I went back and forth between who I favored between Jay and Jackson for Zara but ultimately, I was #TeamJay. Zara was a complicated yet unique female main character because you really wanted to yell at her in moments but at the same time she was relatable and you could understand why she did the things she did. I am looking forward to more novels from this amazing author!

Grey's Anatomy vibes, anyone? And not in a bad way!! I loved that show... And this debut novel by Monica Arya gave me steam, gave me tragedy, gave me angst, gave me love triangle... gave me all the things and I am here for it!

Zara is a studious, dedicated surgical resident - focused on her studies and career and not so much on her personal life which leaves her a virgin and inexperienced in the ways of relationships.

Jay, Billionaire Boston Bachelor, is a cold, brilliant and successful trauma surgeon, haunted by a tragic past.

He's also the attending surgeon in charge of Zara and her fellow residents. After literally bumping into each other, Jay and Zara begin and back and forth, push and pull riddled with tension, steaminess and secrets. There is also Jackson, another resident, interested in Zara, complicating matters even further. I felt bad for Jackson, though, because I really didn't think there was any other person for Zara, honestly.

For a debut novel, "Saved By You" is charged with steam and angst and emotion and introduces you to an author with some incredible potential!

Hot, swoon worthy billionaire alpha, check. Suspense tied in with Romance, check. Strong, smart female main character, check. A love triangle that makes you scream and cry, check. Okay...this was an AMAZING read. This debut has it all. I love how the dual point of view is in each chapter rather than switching every other chapter and the author did an amazing job of tying them together to craft a beautiful and emotional story. Towards the end I was flipping out...the twist had me praying. LOL! Honestly, many parts were relatable how fate often controls much of our lives. How to heal, let go, but also forgive. Dr. Jay Remington, is absolutely sexy and dreamy....the perfect read to enjoy by the beach this summer. Can’t wait for more by this author!

Zara is a great character and the author gives us the chance to actually get to know her. Her connection to Jay was real and it wasn't just a rich man romance. You had depth to the story and the author did a great job developing their story.
I did feel bad for Jackson in wanting Zara, and in the end we knew who she would pick.

It was very poorly written, the narration was too fast. There was no character development, even Jackson’s lines make him sound like a 5 year old.
Zara gets drunk, goes home with Jay, stays the night and they kiss the morning after, ALL in a few pages. Their 1st kiss happened with no buildup, and they keep narrating how there’s an undeniable pull/chemistry b/w them, but there’s no Dialogue to show. Not much flirting, no fights, long conversations or heart-to-hearts. NOT to mention unethical or inappropriate. Zara has no personality, nothing to indicate that the hardworking girl of immigrant parents doesn’t care that her BOSS just kissed, then sent her flowers. They both seemed too 2D to me.
Then Jay scolds Zara at their 1st meeting thing, and she gets angry, and somehow finds herself RESENTING him. Honey, what do you resent?? A Horny man who’s a billionaire but devoid of personality?
Jay keeps giving hints about a past mistake he made, the reason why he can’t be with/fall for Zara. Oh well, he becomes ‘possessed’ by her with their 2nd kiss. After their 1st time, she ‘might just be falling in love with him.’ HELLO? THEN she promises that she’s his…UM excuse me?? This man is somehow worth throwing away everything?
Then he names a flower after her….
There were so many cliche, predictable parts- Jay going back and forth about Zara, both of them making the other jealousy, 2 guys fighting over her, and on and on. Also she somehow realizes what happened, seeing through the cover up.
And the surprise near the end, didn’t make sense. WHY was it revealed at that particular time??
AND THEN THE WEDDING??!?? The weird and cliche thing where someone pushes someone else away, then gets angry about why they didn’t fight harder for them….
Omg I finished this in a day because my eyes could only skim over such shallow reading, otherwise I’d gag.

Saved by You is definitely my favorite read of the year! I found myself needing to know more, and couldn't put it down. I also love how Jay and Zara were both characters you truly love and grow to connect with for different reasons. The huge plot twist and love triangle was intense, without giving spoilers I will say towards the end you cannot put it down because you have to know what will happen. I'm definitely Team Jay but Jackson Palmer is someone who is so dreamy and needs a story of his own. This story had me crying especially when I was thinking it would end with major twists...but you get a HEA and the author did an amazing job. I love Jay and Zara so much and I desperately cannot wait to learn more of their story! A summer must-read!

This is a debut novel by this author, since this one she now has more out however this is my first by this author. I really enjoyed it. Monica has so much passion, and it shows.

This book is a medical/work place romance. It is a bit of a messy love triangle which does affect my rating but only because I am not a fan of them or cheating.
Which in its self shows how much potential I think this author has. Also in one way I feel that Zara is thrown into the triangle unintentionally and is just too inexperienced and nice to try and do anything about it until it’s a bit late.

Our two leads are Zara and Jay, there is instant attraction and tension between them. Zara is just starting her 1st year of her residency, to become a surgeon and who would she happen to literally bump into on her first day.. that’s right you guessed it, Jay! Who is a highly successful surgeon and the one who will be helping her throughout her 5 years of residency..
so it’s best they ignore the attraction to one another right? …. HA!

Zara has went through a tragic loss at a young age, which turned her life upside down and changed her family from that day. She has done everything since to please her parents, thrown herself full force into her education. She doesn’t ever want to worry about money like her family did. She has put her life on hold, been so consumed by bettering herself she hasn’t experienced half of life those her age might have. She is very inexperienced when it comes to love or relationships, which you will see.. it doesn’t of course excuse some of the choices she made.

Jay is a hot pain in my ass! He pushed and pulled Zara so much (‘I want her’/ ‘I shouldn’t have her’). He is possessive, kind of controlling and yet there are some super sweet moments that he shows! He was part of an awful event when he was younger, and coming from a powerful family didn’t have much or a choice when it was sorted for him and too scared to say anything then or now.

Fate is playing a very twisted game within this book, it’s like watching a car crash in slow motion and not being able to do anything about it but not being able to look away either.
Can these two have a chance together?
Too many unanswered questions?
Too many outside parties involved?

Steamy. Kinda messy, heartbreaking, super cute moments and all kinds of raw love!

Saved By You is a remarkable debut novel that shows an author with a great deal of potential.

Zara first year resident at a hospital, her study always has been the most important. She has little experience in love and suddenly has two men interested in her. I liked her evolution during the story. At first, her actions didn't always make sense, and I often wanted to yell at her, but she grows into someone who follows her heart.
This story has a virgin trope but being a young woman focused on her study and her cultural background, it makes sense. The author also doesn't make a big deal out of it, no cliché sentences.

Jay is a man of many treads and talents and a deep dark secret. We all know what happens with secrets. They start to burn in your pocket till your pants will get on fire, and you will go down in flames.

Jackson, I liked him, but he was very charming, but I pitied him for pinning after Zara.

In my experience, love triangles are messy, and this story proofs it.
At any point in the story, I had no clue who the heroine would choose. Some unexpected twists and turns made me think I knew, but the author proved me wrong every time.

This book has a great storyline and character build, and while I admit the author, like all starting authors, has things to learn, she is going for a strong start with Saved By You.

If you enjoy sizzling hot love triangles with characters who have a great deal of baggage and watch them fight for their love, this is a story for you.

I received an ARC from the author and am leaving this honest review voluntarily.

Phew. I’m gonna need a minute after reading this one. Not only was it packed with steam, but it was filled with drama and secrets that kept my head spinning in the best way.

After reading Girl in the Reflection and LOVING it, I knew I had to get my hands on this one. And let me just tell you, this one made me SWOON and I loved it. You already know I’m a sucker for angst and this one was packed with it. And that twist: whaaattt?! The fact that Monica Arya can go from this one (her book baby) to a psychological thriller and have them both be amazing is true talent right there. Pick this one up asap! You won’t regret it at all. 5 ⭐️s

TV Medical Drama in a book. The drama and tension in this story is BANANAS!
I did not expect the twists that just kept coming until the very last page, quite literally.
Zara is young and driven and completely naive when it comes to romance/relationships/love.
Jay is the cold billionaire who "doesn't deserve love"
They drove me crazy. Then enter the 5-7 side main characters and I just wanted to smack the back of their heads. And Monica Arya keeps to hanging on to see what is going to happen until the very end. And then she will leave you wanting more.
I'd recommend this book to those who enjoy billionaire romance and medical drama TV series.

This book gave me major Grey's Anatomy vibes with the new surgical residents being labeled "the fresh five"

Zara and Jay's love story was so addictive. At first I didn't want to like Jay. Was getting all the billionaire playboy/bad boy vibes and while he was some of those and had definetly been in his past, as I read on I began to fall for him myself. Deep down there was more to him and all he was trying to do was protect Zara from one horrible secret from his past.

The ending just left me with chills and ended how I was hoping it would. Cannot wait for the sequel out early 2022!
