muud nõuanded on ka a la...

3.5 Stars.

I'm not particularly fond of loose sketching, but it's an important skill in art, so I appreciate following all the exercises in this book. Exercises covered different subjects such as fruit, buildings, animals, and landscapes. They also range across different drawing mediums such as water soluble pens, pastel pencils, charcoal, and conte. They weren't the funnest drawings--I prefer more articulate styles--but I believe this book to be an excellent aid in learning to draw with more freedom.

Skimmed through it since it was collecting dust on my shelf.

I think it's an ok intro for beginners, it's got a nice introduction to materials and discovering different ways of using those materials. There is also some good beginner knowledge on texture and composition.

I have to agree with the other reviewer who wrote that some of the guides are like in the meme with "draw the rest of the owl". There is not a lot of depth and information on how to observe and understand the subject in those parts.

It's mainly about learning how to draw what you see.

This book is a nice book for beginners. It had a few exercises that I found helpful as a complete beginner. It's definitely worth checking out.
