Discover the Truth About the Blood of Jesus and the Glory of God! Salvation is more than just being saved from sin. Salvation is being saved to the glory of God. We were created in the likeness and the image of God, and it is His desire for us to be crowned with His glory and honor. The Blood and The Glory reveals how the power of the Blood of Jesus and the glory of God fit together in God's plan of redemption. This exciting book draws from the experiences of great leaders of faith from the past to rekindle the power of the Blood of Jesus in the Church today. Combining personal stories with strong biblical principles, Billye Brim teaches the importance of depending upon the Blood of Jesus in your daily walk with God. You will understand as never before that without the Blood of Jesus, it is impossible to be prepared for the glory of God. By using the principles outlined in this book, you will learn: We are in the last days. The circle of glory is almost complete. It is through the Blood of Jesus that we can be redeemed to our rightful place of Glory and honor in the kingdom of God.
Dr. Billye Brim is one of my favorite teachers on the Word of God. This book will clear up many issues such as, "How old is the earth, really?" There is always Blood before Glory. Many answered questions in this book. I cannot keep copies of it because I give them away. People say their lives have been changed from this teaching. God always loves us and wants GOOD for us! ALWAYS!
I love to read books that enhance and expand my knowledge of what’s written in the Bible. God has anointed men and women throughout the ages with specific gifts. God anointed Billye Brim with the ability to preach, teach, and write. Gifts that are evident in her book, The Blood And The Glory.
The book is written in a style that's easy to understand. The author shares testimony stories from her own life, and old-time saints such as Mrs. C. Nuzum; Smith Wigglesworth, Maria Woodworth-Etter and others. They saw firsthand the glory and power available in and through the Blood of Jesus. Their stories are remarkable, hearts and lives where changed and all for the better.
Billye Brim emphasizes the importance of depending upon the Blood of Jesus in a person’s daily walk with God. Readers will understand that without the Blood of Jesus, it is impossible to be prepared for the glory of God. Principles are outlined in the book, that when applied enable the reader to learn:
How to use the Blood of Jesus to overcome Satan; how to use the Blood of Jesus to protect their family; how to draw a blood line around the home, property, and possessions; how to maintain victory through the Blood of Jesus; and how the Blood of Jesus is connected to the outpourings of the Holy Spirit.
The book was released in 1995, and written with the intention of revealing how the power of the Blood of Jesus and the glory of God fit together. She did an exceptional job in bringing the two together.
Why did I purchase and read a book twice, written 27 years ago? Because it speaks of God and His power and glory. God is timeless. He never changes; He is the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow. The world is in an even greater mess; and what I learned in The Blood And The Glory will benefit me greatly in my efforts to overcome whatever comes my way.
Basic summary of this book: The Blood of Jesus avails for all things; it is our protection against everything if we will cry for it and trust in it. (p. 17) Of special interest to me was Chapter 5 - an explanation of where the fall of Lucifer can be found in Genesis. This was one teaching on Genesis 1:1-2 that I had never read before. Very interesting.
I journaled a lot of my thoughts and responses from this book but my big takeaways are:
1. Romans 8:38-39 NOTHING that is NO THING can separate me from the Love of God because Jesus brought me back into the Presence of God with His blood. I can now stand in the Glory because my sins which would have prevented me from being in God’s Presence without being consumed, have been washed away.
2. I can, therefore, apply the Blood of Jesus over and around every area of my life.
This book gives you a lot to think about and is a worthy read. My one drawback is the author states some things with certainty that I see as possible but not certain. This drove me to study, which I believe is good. I love how she elaborated on "the circle". It's worth it to read for that alone.
WOW! This book is filled with so much revelation. It's well written and easy to understand. I enjoyed reading testimonies from the "old-timers", the mothers and fathers of the faith. This book is a vital resource.
Heretical. Filled with purposively ambiguously phrased sentences. This author avoids all the essential meanings of the Blood of Jesus Christ shed for us as a propitiation, as an atonement and exchanges it for a typical Charismatically minded idea of a mere spiritual warfare technique which is remarkably similar to shamanism or witchcraft in drawing circles of protection.
What Billye states on page 77 is typical of the book: "You can walk around the place where you work or go to school and say, 'In the Name of Jesus I draw a blood line around this place Satan cannot cross." She repeats this "drawing a blood line" idea on pages 68 and 112, and to her this is the same as her "pleading the blood". She does not seem to refer to actually drawing a line but nonetheless her "pleading the blood" is her own version of pagan superstition.
This is a superstitious use of "the Blood" that could be found with different names other than Jesus in other religions. A witch or occultist would draw a circle around herself to protect from "bad spirits" all the while practising spiritism which God abhors. (Duet 18).
One of Billye's many purposively ambiguously phrased sentences is on page 44. It is likely indicative of Word of Faith teaching that Jesus was the first born-again man. This is blasephemy!. She states "Imagine Satan's dismay when the first man was born again! When he saw that the Annointed One came to take up abode inside the man". This is reminiscent of Gnostic teaching (Gnostism is the ancient heresy that the early church polemically fought against) that stated Jesus the man became the Messiah or Annointed One at his babtism. The reasoning goes on that we as men can become anointed ones or messiahs to heal others and do 'greater things than Jesus'. This is common charismatic Word of Faith teaching.
As to her references to the blood cleansing us from sin, Billye quotes a Mrs C. Nazum favorably who says, "We are to resist the sins, appetites, passions, and evil desires which he has put upon us, by asking God to put the Blood of Jesus against the devil and the evil within. . ." So Billye's narrative becomes fairly obvious for anyone familiar with "Word of Faith Charismatic" so called Christianity; Sin is just something the 'Devil made me do'. Orthodox Christianity on the other hand speaks about the blood as a reference to the substitionary nature of the atonement of Jesus in our stead. Ironically then, the blood is used to cleanse us from false beliefs such as Billye Brimm's doctrines of demons, as one example of a true spiritual warfare of "the Blood".
Life is short; read something better. My suggestion try an orthodox teacher on this subject. See 'The Blood of Jesus Christ' by William Reid. Online version here: https://www.monergism.com/blood-jesus...
Dr. Billye Brim joins the ranks in the Kingdom as a general of the faith. Dr. Brim imparts much on the topic of intercession in her ministry. Her discussion in this book lays out the importance of the Blood of Jesus and how to apply it daily is priceless wisdom that you need. You need this book in your library.
This is a book that I will lend to others, but insist upon it's return! A very good book that discusses the importance of the Blood of Jesus. We talk about it, sing about it and read about it but do we REALLY have a true grasp of it's importance. This book describes in detail just how important it really is.
I've finished "The Blood and the Glory," but going back rereading parts. This is one of those books full of scripture, explanations of Hebrew words, Jewish history, and first-person historical accounts. A very encouraging read.
I really liked this book. I am going to buy my own copy to keep around, for reference and to share with others. It is a powerful testimony to the power of GOD.
