Fiery romance and suspense author Amaryllis Lanza took the road less traveled early on and has enjoyed many adventures in far flung places. She’s settled for a while in the green and rolling countryside of Northern Europe where she shares her life with her lovely husband and her frolicking cats.

This is the 4th book in the series and they keep getting better. It can be read as a stand-alone but you don't want to miss out on the other stories. The Unkindness has great character development and will keep you hooked to the end. There is action, humor and let's not forget the hot sex!!

This is the 4th book in the series and it can be read as a standalone. Sandy and Cailean have been through a lot. Their story is filled with loads of drama, suspense steam and emotion. Great characters with lots of depth and intense chemistry. I liked it.

Unkindness, where to begin ? This is the 4th book in the series and boy does this book deliver.

*****WARNING*** This book is heavily into BDSM and also there are subjects that could be a trigger for others.

This book Follows the mysterious Killer Charlie or Cailen as he is known more so throughout this book. He is Wills right-hand man and also an Alpha in the Ravens. A BDSM/ sex group that Gathers for events and evenings for many illustrious goings-on.

Sandy is Mariana's Assitant/ business partner. She is a woman with many characters and faces all of which we see throughout this book. She had an awful experience when she was 17 and this had caused her to look at different ways in order to handle the issue, that is until Caielan comes along see's the troubled women/ child she is.

This story is full of passion and heat and OMG those sex scenes were like nothing I have read before. You feel like you are a part of the scenes unfolding and are gripped into every single facet of their story, This book is HOTT and just WOW at times. I absolutely did not want this book to end. My only critique if I had to give one would be right in the beginning it felt a little list like but that was only for the first couple of chapters but it does not in any way affect how much I loved the story and I really hope you do too.

Amaryllis I need the next book, who is it going to be??? please tell me we get more on Sandy and Charlie. I need to know more about 'Daddy taking over'.

"The Unkindness" is the fourth Billionaire Spy novel and can be read as a standalone. FAIR WARNING - this is an extremely dark romance that contains BDSM and other content that may be triggering for some readers.

Every day, Sandy Fine wears a mask. While she appears to be a strong, confident, and sassy woman on the outside, in reality, she is a broken shell of a human being. Cailean Green is ruthless, a killer, and too messed up for any kind of relationship that extends beyond one night. But when Sandy and Cailen spend one night together, neither of them is ready for it to be over... but neither of them were prepared for their hearts to get involved.

I've read all the other books in the Billionaire Spy series, and this one does not disappoint! Sandy and Cailean's story is heavy, emotional, and brilliant. Lanza's writing is heartfelt and intense, and as always, oh so steamy! I loved watching Sandy and Cailean find something in each other that was worth redeeming/fixing. 5 steamy stars!

The Unkindness is not your typical romance story. It begins with the frenzied inner thoughts of the two principal characters, Cailean (aka Charlie) and Sandy, taking center stage. I was not sure I would be able to get through the rest of the book as the flow of the story was just not appealing. However, like a light switch turning on, the interactions between the characters became much more enjoyable. The action picked up, and so did the drama and intensely erotic and steamy sexual interactions between Cailean and Sandy. We also get a glimpse into the secret life of Cailean, and his associates as a bit of revenge becomes a part of the story. Although not my cup of tea, the author, Amaryllis Lanza, gives us a phenomenally intimate view of "the life."

I would not call The Unkindness a page-turner, but it is undoubtedly a book that kept me engaged and that I wanted to read to the very last page.

I'm new to this series and already obsessed. I was totally impressed by the depth and scope of this book, not to mention it's really well researched and written with style.
I can't get enough of Cailean/Charlie. The way he offers her everything "This is not safe. It is not sane. It will only be implicitly consensual" makes me jealous, even though they're both fictional. A total moment :)
As their relationship grows and lines are blurred and scalps are given (I'd totally want to be there to watch it happen too) this book just gets even better. I must admit I never expected Daddy to have to bring the cleaners in for the reason he did.
This series is my new addiction ♡♡

This is all about Charlie (Cailean) and Sandy - and it blew my mind! I had no idea how broken Sandy was and what she experienced in her past as her façade was so distracting but Cailean, with the attitude of a killer but the heart of a strong alpha who knows what Sandy needs. Two halves of the same soul. So much drama, intrigue, suspense and the chemistry was so, so, steamy. I love the trust Sandy had in Cailean and how he took care of her physically and emotionally. A beautiful read that captivated me right to the end.

Both characters, Sandy and Charlie (“Cailean”), are very damaged people who have found ways to cope with their brokenness outside normal, vanilla lifestyles. They struggle with intimacy and emotional connection just like everyone does. Though dark, there was connection and action and humor. An enjoyable read but if dark romance/BDSM isn’t your cup of tea, this book isn’t for you.

A steamy thriller is how I would describe Sandy and Cailean’s story. Lots of action, lots of steam, and lots of violence. Could trigger a reader, so please be careful. It’s also very witty and filled with that camaraderie that only men who have been friends forever can have. A great read.

First of all, there are several triggers in this story. So, please be aware. Sandy has been damaged in the past. When Charlie, Cailean, meets her, he decides to be her daddy and to get vengeance for her. There is a HEA for them. There is BDSM scenes and there is violence. I enjoyed the story.
