If Damon mothertruckin’ Salvator taught me anything it’s that vampires are deadass sexy.

Also filthy rich.

And while bartending pays the bills, mostly. And putting dickhead customers in their place feeds my soul, I’ve got an immortality to plan.

That’s why tonight I’m waltzing into the Vampire King of Laurel Cove’s fancy-ass gala, finessing my way passed his big dumb guards,

I really enjoyed this book, it was a really easy read. The story keeps you hooked the whole way through. Its been a while since I've read a good vampire book ( I LOVE them).. anyway, I really loved Eden's character she had me laughing throughout 🙌🏼 I really enjoyed BDD and Sunny as the side characters 💖 oh and Jaxon. I would love for these 3 to get their own stories!! Maybe even sunny and Jaxon together?! Forbidden relationship maybe?! Haha... let's talk about Julian, for a start... whenever kin ...more

What utter trash……… I have no words for what a lousy intolerable character eden is. Self righteous ignorant bitch is all I can think of. She’s a fucking clueless angry moron and I hate her. Also the writing of the book is so-so. The plot moves way too fast, the author breaks the basic rules of vampirism and the main character ugh I hate her so much. She’s so angry all the time and if the people around her don’t fully disclose every detail to her about anything she thinks she’s being lied to and ...more

This book was entertaining, Eden is a baby vampire that meets King Julian and things get going. I like the blurb so I decided to give it a go, the world-building is interesting, would like to know a bit more. The characters are a bit undeveloped, I really wanted to like Eden but felt her a bit immature even though I understand where she comes from, I like her snarky and inner monologue. There are also things that didn't match for me, some facts that happen that really come out of nowhere, but ov ...more

Author Jewel Killian is a new to me author, I am happy to say I loved her take on the vampire world. The mate bonds and all the little pesky details that are involved.. Vamp politics and rules are just one of the many things that our main character is learning right along side us..
I really loved the story line and it flowed well, I just wish there were some more answers to some of the things that happened .. I don’t mind cliffhangers but I will forget some of the importance of these other issu

This is a super easy read that had me hooked from the moment I started reading this! Jewel is a new to me author, and after reading this I will definitely be checking more of her books out!

Eden is a hilarious character and I really enjoyed her throughout the book! I love a good vampire romance book, and this definitely hit the mark for a genre I haven't read in a while. There's still so many secrets and mysteries within this story, that I honestly can't wait to dive into in the next book. I defi

A kind of funny vampire romance with a snarky female and a growly male.

I enjoyed this tale involving Eden, a newbie vamp, and Julian, King of Laurel Cove vampires. What’s not to like about a woman who has no clue what it means to be a vampire and that she’s the fated mate of a king. And to make things more difficult - Julian is making her frustrated by refusing her certain benefits between mates that would bring undeniable passion and release.

The story also has some secondary characters that wil

Was enjoying it to a point

I was enjoying the story and the hilarious humor up to the end when it suddenly became the typical immature I'm suddenly angry and reject you plot. It could have played out better if that bit was left out now instead it turned me off the story to see it following the usual road all the others also chose. I get you want a dramatic cliffhanger but that wasn't it. It would have been better to leave it at the friends "accident" and pick up for book 2, instead Eden has to go

B Positive by Jewel Killian is a very entertaining read and I thought, a fairly imaginative take on the usual vampire stories.

Eden was only turned as a vampire 1.5 years ago and during much of that period, she hasn’t had an easy time of it. She is sassy and very smart, but she is struggling with issues that started from the point she became a vampire. I found her problems to be really relatable (when is the last time you heard someone say that about vampire problems?) and I thoroughly enjoyed t

This was my first book by Jewel Killian. I always love finding new authors!
This story is a single POV from Eden, a new “baby” vampire. She was turned but lost her creator, so she has struggled to learn how to adjust to her new life. She still feels most comfortable with humans and does not know much about vampires way of life. She’s more of a “what not to do”.
Ok so I’ll be honest, I’m not sure how I feel about her yet. I feel like she jumps to conclusions quickly because of her lack of knowled

This book is hilarious, spicy, and a serious page turner!!!! An absolute pleasure to read!

Eden is a serious take no crap from anyone FMC. She's a newer vampire who's maker was killed not long after she transitioned. Due to that, and being kicked out of her "nest", she's been left to figure things out on her own. She's on a mission to secure herself a nest egg so she doesn't have to live paycheck to paycheck. She's become an expert at safe cracking which is how she plans to steal a priceless diam

B Positive was the first MF paranormal romance I had read in almost two years. I have been strictly RH. Welp... this book made me think twice. I love Eden. I loved her snark. I loved that she was so confident yet incredibly naive. Despite misinformation and sometimes downright lies she kept pushing on and giving people the benefit of doubt. I think some found that frustrating but I could totally relate. Her best friend is awesome even though he has his own secrets. Julian, I don't know about him ...more

I am not sure I have to read the rest of this book. It was good, but not cativating enough to make me wait for the rest of the story. How irritating!!!
I thought her declaration was ill timed and immature, as was her answering the other king's questions when she said she wanted to avoid him. None of the characters have pulled me in enough to leave me hanging and hope i come back for more months later. Kind of how the king treated the main heroine.
There are also fact problems... like she says she

Soo this was fun and a light read but I do have to say that it reads just like a wattpad story. I will be reading the second book bc I’m intrigued but it truly feels like a read a good wattpad story.

Also it has a slight cliffhanger that makes no sense. Why would the main character be mad at her mates action?! 🤔 I’m confused.

Also i felt nothing for the love interest Julian. yes he is her mate and everything but they have no real connection other than the mate bond. He only appears whenever they

Okay so this was my first read from this author and I can definitely say it wont be my last.. Eden a baby vampire that has no knowledge of how this society works and is just trying to get her bearings and understanding of this way of life. I love stories about bonded mates and what all comes along with that and how it all works. Usually I am reading that in shifter romances but this was my first vampire mated bond and is was exceptional. I think that we have barely scratched the surface with all ...more

Why!?!? Oh my heart was ripped out with that cliffhanger. I felt the pain of that last sentence in my soul. 🥺😭🥺 The whole last page devastated me!

Let’s rewind and start from the beginning. I absolutely adore Eden. She’s a baby vamp learning how to adapt to her new skills and powers. She’s doing it all on her own, when she meets King Julian. Not what she had planned at all, and her life that she’s so carefully constructed is blown apart.

Julian is so sexy and adorable. He has his secrets, and whi

That wasn’t exactly the way I saw this book ending but I knew something would happen. That says more about me but everyone just seemed shady to me. Poor Eden. She has no idea what’s going on and even though she’s surrounded by vampires, she still knows nothing of their world and everyone seems to forget that. I’m not sure how I feel about Julian. When he interacts with her, he doesn’t act like anything else but the king to me. He may have had a few moments where he seemed possessive and caring b ...more

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

I so enjoyed this book!! We meet Eden a fairly young vampire who also happens to be a master thief. This is an extremely rare skill for a vampire (as in she is the only one) so when the King needs a safe cracker he has her in mind. Obviously this leads to them meeting where which changes both of their plans as they learn a hidden secret. From that point on you can sit back and watch the fireworks fly be

First books of a series are always so hard to give a good rating to. Especially when the reader is unsure of what what exactly the series is about or where the story could take us. So I am giving the story as a stand alone rating of 3 stars. If there were no other books after this it would hold no place in my memory. It was all very typical for a vampire tale, a slow burn and even an enemies to lovers read. I wish the story was more developed that we got a little more information and while, yes, ...more

Eden is an incredible FMC! I love her all around bada$$ery, her witty, snarky personality, and hilarious inner monologue. Her lack of knowledge about being a vampire is not only problematic, but downright funny at times!

King Julian is a definite harda$$, with a soft spot for a certain cat-burglar extraordinaire! He also has that amazing alpha male vibe going for him!

The storyline is unique and amazing, with not only spectacular main characters, but fantastic side characters as well! Once I dug

I really enjoyed this book! I wasn’t sure what expect when I picked it up so I was happy to find that the characters were intriguing, the humor was great, and the storyline was interesting. Eden is a relatively new vamp and a thief who just wants to get herself set so she can go off and live alone in peace. However, when she tries to steal from the Vampire King, Julian, things get complicated fast. Julian I really found myself liking despite the fact that he obviously keeps vital things a secret ...more

This was an interesting take on a vampire storyline. We learn more about this world as the book continues and it has a lot of differences when compared to other books.

I felt that a lot of this book was having the reader learn at the same time that the female main character was learning things so I could definitely relate to her frustrations and questions.

Still figuring out how I feel about the male main character, we shall see how he redeems himself. I really like some of the other characters a

B Positive is the first book that I have read by Jewel Killian and it definitely won’t be the last because so far I am absolutely addicted to this series. I loved Eden and she definitely made me laugh out loud so many times. I liked how her opinion of Jaxon didn’t change after she found out what he was. Oh boy the panty drenching chemistry between Eden and King Julian (not the one from Madagascar) was absolutely addictive.

This book definitely needed more world building and character depth but if you could look past those issues this is a good read. I think what annoyed me the most was the King lying to Eden constantly, and knowing she is a vampire without any knowledge but never giving her answers was kind of meh to me. It makes him almost irredeemable. (view spoiler)

Arc Participant

It made me laugh, made me angry along with the protagonist, made me crave some ice water to cool down and I just couldn’t put it down until my body forced me to go to sleep for at least eight hours.

It has vampires, shifters, mates, and some lies that will certainly come and bite some people in the ass! Eden’s story still has more to come and I’m already craving the next book. Which kinda sucks since this is a brand new book. But I’ll endeavor through this and await that s
