I'm a writer, a pagan, and a witch, and consequently love all things magical. I write fictional books about witchcraft and the paranormal, and they are jam-packed with fabulous characters, colourful settings, plenty of action, and lots of humour.
I was born in England, in the Black Country, but moved to New Zealand in 2006. I lived near Wellington with my partner Jase, and my cats Sacha and Leia. However, in April 2022 we moved again! Yes, I like making my life complicated… I’m now living in the Algarve in Portugal, and loving the fabulous weather and people. When I’m not busy writing I read lots, indulge in gardening and shopping, and I love yoga.
Confession time! I’m a Star Trek geek – old and new – and love urban fantasy and detective shows. Secret passion – Columbo! Favourite Star Trek film is the Wrath of Khan, the original! Other top films – Predator, the original, and Aliens.
In a previous life I was a singer in a band, and used to do some acting with a theatre company. For more on me, check out a couple of my blog posts. I have also written a blog about how I finally became comfortable about calling myself a witch. It's called Leaning into my Witch.
Wow this, book 8, I think must be my favourite book so far in the series, which I absolutely love. In this story we get to see our coven of White Haven witches battle against the ghostly spirits of long dead smugglers who are out seeking vengeance. Cornwall was renowned for it's smuggling rings and many a village by the sea had coves and tunnels which aided in the smuggling and breaker business of ages past. It seems that ancestors of two of our coven's families had put a curse on one of the most evil and feared pirate and his gang to rid the district of his evil ways and now Cruel Coppinger , known as the Dane, a giant of a man, and his crew of pirates were out to avenge themselves on the relatives. The curse was a very intricate and cruel one and it placed our witches lives in great danger. Helena, Avery's ancestor, who was also a ghost, was imprisoned in the spirit world as well, and a mortal witch was aiding the ghostly pirates, inflaming their wrath making them even more dangerous than they were. And it was all happening because of greed for gold. Our friends have to not only stop the evil which had taken lives already and injured some of their own but find out which witch was behind the havoc taking over their lives. I loved that this book turned so dark with so many bodies turning up dead, and our friends being injured by ghosts who had turned so lifelike as to be able to wield weapons and cause real damage in the here and now! A most exciting and riveting read, this series keeps getting better with every book we read!
The White Haven Witches sure have their work cut out in Vengeful Magic. This series gets better and better.
When a body is found in a bizarre state, Newton calls upon the witches for help. It looks that once again the supernatural is at play. They are baffled at what's really happening, and when they find what might be the source, they have a real job figuring out how to put an end to it. Revenge appears to be the real reason, but there is also an element of greed. Given the complexity of their findings, will they be successful?
It's really great to see the point of view of several characters. It gives more insight into their nature. They are all beautifully portrayed. Despite the gravity of their situation, they stick together. Caspian and Reuben bring some laughter amongst all the puzzlements. I am not familiar with this author and I have to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed reading everyone of the books in the series so far. Smashing.
I found myself immersed in these books. Also knowing the places they have been somehow makes it real. I been have been in a couple of the caves and some smell really bad Thank you to the author for a series that send me to Cornwall. It also lets me feel my children with their families have made Cornwall their home . Just a warning to anyone visiting Cornwall. The sea can be extremely dangerous. It has undertows making swimming hard. Stay between the flags that the life guards put up. Plus if you have children who are in the sea. Watch them they are much better than the suntan you’re trying to get. Take responsibility for them.the life guards are not your children’s baby sitters
Every time I read this series I think I have found my favourite, this time I have. The author has excelled herself and as we return to White Haven this time with pirate treasure (and ghosts ) it has everything you could want. I don’t do spoilers, what I will say this is an excellent read and during lockdown I read the whole series again. The book can be read as a stand alone story but I guarantee that you will want to read all of them. I highly recommend this book!
Vengeful Magic is fantastic succession in the White Haven Witches series. Set around the folklore of smuggling and treasure with a curse, of course. There are new unexpected friendships forged and help from an unlikely source. Also, the three ghost hunters are more involved with the mystery and now have an official name. TJ Green's impeccable writing keeps you from ever wanting to put this book down. Fingers crossed for a book 9 White Haven Witches series.
A very welcome return to white haven and the white haven witches. This installment is told from multiple perspectives of all the characters, providing a little more insight into the characters and making you feel closer to the action and part of the team! The paranormal team and the nephilim join the coven to help identify a supernatural force, potentially responsible for unexplained deaths nearby. Uncovering a secret that dates back generations, threatening the shores of Cornwall.

This is a wonderful addition to this thrilling series! Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great suspense and action with wonderful world building that adds so much to the story. Such a thrilling read that I couldn't put it down. Can't wait to read more of these. Recommend reading.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
WOW another amazing read with all the fun of pirates and folklore plus the magical adventures of the white haven witches. I am now dad I have to.wait for the next one but I will just re-read them again. If you haven't read the series then buy them all because you won't regret it.
I'm off to plan a trip to Cornwall to see some of the real life magical sites mentioned in the book
This 8th volume in the White Haven Witches series offers another complex mystery for the small coven of friends and lovers to solve. Ghosts, pirates, spriggans, and corrupt witches all play a role in murders and attacks placing the good witches of White Haven in grave danger. They must research their ancestry and forge new bonds to survive. Fans of this ongoing British saga will not be disappointed.
The White Haven coven uses its magical powers to assist Detective Inspector Newton with the investigation of a peculiar murder. The victim was found with a gold coin in his mouth. I appeared to be a Spanish doubloon. As the investigation ensues, more coins show up and it seems that ghosts from a pirate ship are involved. Fighting cursed ghosts is a new and unpleasant experience for Avery, Alex, and their friends.
Pirates and hidden treasure; what's not to like? As the White Haven coven investigates some strange deaths, things start pointing to long-dead pirates and their hidden treasure. The historical background of these characters made it one of the most fascinating pirate stories I've ever read! Fantastic!!!
This is an excellent story of a curse coming home to roost, backfiring on the families of the original casters. It takes advantage of Cornish history and mythology and is richly atmospheric. The series at this point has a pretty big cast and it is well used, the new technique of multiple points of view being really effective. I particularly enjoyed the interplay between Reuben and Caspian.
Great book in the series. More PoVs from other characters, we see how relationships are developing between them and we even see a glimpse of a past character, prepare some tissues..... The spirits of the pirates have been disturbed and it is up to the witches to put them back to rest forever. Lots of action and well written chatacters that become friends.

Absolutely brilliant. Non stop action, unless they stop to eat, like real people do. The characters are so real, it's like being with old friends. I like reading the different characters idea's and views. The weirdest thing was reading my son in laws name, Carlyon, his kiwi family originated from Cornwall. Highly recommended. Thanks TJ.
I absolutely adore the Whitehaven books. The characters are well conceived, the magic and folklore are woven throughout the stories becoming a believable way of seeing the world. I always feel I've spent time in the company of friends when the story comes to an end and look forward to finding out what Mariah gets up to next.
I have read all the books in this series, I like this one the best. I felt like I was there and really a part of it. It's great to feel to feel true friendship. Makes one wonder about pirate ships and that the curses of that time. Will they ever catch the "other thieves"?
I really enjoyed this one, especially how the author has begun to speak from different points of view in the narrative. It’s not just from Avery‘s perspective. The story is very interesting and unique, I don’t think I’ve read one quite like it (and I’ve read a lot of books in this genre!). Well done!
So exciting, edge of the seat tension and a brilliant book and storyline to add to an amazing series.
I highly recommend this book and series. The descriptions are so vivid, you can see it unfolding better than a screen. The characters are now old friends, and the series is now a firm favourite, to be revisited again in the future
very good Witches both friendly and not, Nephilim, several deaths, spriggans of Cornish folklore and a several hundred year old curse make for a tale you don't want to put down. I received this book as an ARC.
Pirates and buried treasure, Giants and curses, what’s not to love. An action packed adventure that resulted in foes working together and the White Haven coven keeping the area safe behind the scenes. Murder and mayhem at its best.
Paranormal Adventure! Vengeful witches, cursed smuggling ghosts. The White Haven Witches are learning new things dealing with this interesting challenge. An exciting, fast paced magical adventure with great characters. Wonderful series!
Fantastic book! I absolutely love this series. The character growth with Reuben and Caspian was fantastic. I love that with this series, you can’t predict or expect what’s going to happen from chapter to chapter. You are really kept on your toes! I can’t wait for book 9!
Thankyou for yet another constant page turner. Filled to the brim with intrigue , folklore come to life with our heritage. There is a great big wacking open door for whats to come in book 9. Hurry up and write it, cant wait!
Another brilliant book in this series, full of witchcraft, historical happenings, excitement and you feel the need to read it in one go but don't want it to finish. TJ Green did it again 👏 💖
The thing about these books is that they always leave me wanting more! I’m not a very patient person and waiting for the next book is always hard. If only T J Green could write as fast as I can read. But alas that is not feasible so wait I must!
I loved the Ruben and Caspian relationship growth in this book. I am intrigued as to what will develop in the possible witch chase as well as the relationship between Caspian and his sister. Lots of open doors in this book.
The White Haven Coven are again trying to solve another mystery surrounded by murder, magic and mayhem. The team also explores their relationships with each other and their magic.
