They have always shared…everything. What if one small woman manages to break that bond?

At twenty-eight years old, neither has met their mate, nor are they in a hurry to find a woman who will end their long-standing arrangement with each other. Their dairy farm, a few miles outside of town, allows them the luxury of shifting to their wolf form any time they want in relative seclusion.

Justin's world tips when Kara walks into the bar on a random Friday night. Immediately recognizing her scent as that of his mate, he is drawn to her by forces beyond his control. Nervous about sharing the news with Trevor, Justin is relieved to realize Kara is also his best friend's mate. Now all they have to do is convince Kara she belongs in a permanent menage and track down a stalker who seems hellbent on taking Kara for himself. Contains: menage, mfm, wolves

Anyone who reads my reviews knows that I am a hardass when it comes to the writing. I don't care how great or how original your storyline is (although in this case the plot was neither), if your writing isn't good, I am not going to finish the book, and you are going to get a poor rating.

The writing, both narration and dialogue, throughout this book was unrealistic and did not flow smoothly at all. The fact is young adults do not use words like " I am thoroughly exhausted", they say "I'm friggin tired, I'm going home!"

As far as characterization goes I found that none of the characters had any depth to them, there was just no substance at all. I found the main character, Kara, to be very hard (or impossible) to relate to. Basically all we know about her is that she is a gymnast (but retiring in a week), is in school, wants to be a teacher, and has two mates plus a stalker. The author never really goes into anyone aspect of Kara in order allow anyone to find a common ground with her.

As for the plot...there wasn't one. Right from the start to know that Kara has just found her mates. They are werewolves. Kara has a stalker. Her stalker thinks she is his. The stalker is a weird and we know his name. There is no development or mystery in this whole book. Another author might leave the reader wonder who the stalker is, why they are stalking the character (aka motive), or even keeping the reader in complete suspense by only hinting at the possibility of a stalker. But not Jameson, oh no. She just tells the reader everything up front in the first chapter and the expects the reader to keep reading anyways.

All in all this book really doesn't deserve any stars. The plot was unoriginal and, well, non-existent, the characters were nothing more than names on a page as far as I'm concerned, and the writing was awful. However, I gave this book two stars because a completely novice reader might be able to enjoy this book, and because the writing wasn't as bad as others I've seen.

Another quick read to clear off a really old book on my kindle. Kara is a 22-ish college senior that goes with her friends to celebrate her last week of college. She meets sexy Justin (28) and sparks fly. Justin is a “shapeshifter” (werewolf), so he knows she’s his mate, but he has two problems. 1- Kara is human. 2- He’s totally bummed because he shares EVERYTHING with his bff Trevor, and he knows this is going to change things. Lucky for Justin, Trevor realizes with one sniff that Kara’s his mate too.

My main issue was that I was bored because…
🔴 The entire plot is revealed (including who the villain is) within the first three chapters.
🔴 The characters are not fleshed out and their dialogue did not sound like 20-year-olds.
🔴 The tone felt juvenile which didn’t mesh with the smut. (MFM)
🔴 The pacing was off. The first 40% is courting, then it is mostly sex, but it’s like cat in heat not sexy sex.
🔴 The climax/action dispatching the baddie is sorted in about 5 pages.

Bottom Line- This needed more plot to fill the story. The first half DRAGGED on, and the dialogue was awkward. They were all in their 20’s and they spoke like my grandma. The stalker’s reason for revenge made absolutely no sense, his side had actually done the wronging, so why was he so pissed?

Hot chic walks into a bar and meets alpha hot shifter stud #1. He brings her back home to meet his best friend. They all instantly have the hots and fall in love. Enter bitter evil wolf with a chip on his shoulder and an axe to grind. He now wants to kill our hot studs and make chicky his. Drama ensue.

It is your typical erotica shape shifter story, nothing new to see. If you like thin plot devices, no character development, and typical ménage positions, then this book is for you.

Kara goes to the bar with her roommates who think she needs to live a little before college ends. There she meets Justin who is freaked out because with one whiff he can tell that she's his mate. The only problem is Trevor, his best friend that he usually shares women with. How is Trevor going to handle this? The answer is pissed, because he thinks Justin made out with his mate. Ta da- they're both her mate.

This book tries to get serious with a stalker guy thrown in, but the dialogue in that part was way too stilted. It probably would have been best just to concentrate on the romance. Another weird thing, she's a gymnast which most guys would be bragging about and having her try out all sorts of positions. Not them, they stand at the sides biting their nails freaking out, and that's pretty much when they first hear about it. A little funny.

So, light read, don't expect pathos. The sex scenes are okay. Maybe I'm reading too many erotica books because there was nothing new there.

Ehh wasn't a big fan of this. The biggest issue was the writing was pretty poor and it really took me away from the story. The overuse of ellipses was so distracting! I swear all the dialogue included at least one ellipsis and it just did not work.

The author also used such formal and unnatural language. The characters are all supposed to be in their twenties but they sound like they are senior citizens from a different era. It was awkward and unnatural. Also the use of the word "globes" when describing an ass just makes me laugh. There was basically no plot either, which isn't always a bad thing in these types of novels, but the writing at least has to be good.

This is also the second book this week that includes shaving and I absolutely hate that! I don't find it sexy at all. Actually a lot of this book was not steamy at all which is kind of the point of reading these romantic-erotica novels...so that's a big let down.

Won't be reading the rest of this series.

This was a good story. I liked Kara, Justin and Trevor and their story was very enjoyable. I actually read book #3 in the series first and it made me curious about book #1 so I decided to try it.

Kara is a gymnast and is getting ready to graduate form college with a teaching degree. She has parents she loves and friends but she doesn't date much as she's too busy between gymnastics and classes. A week before graduation, Kara roommates convince her to go out to a bar much to Kara's dismay.

Trevor and Justin and best friends and as close as brothers. They're both werewolves and were raised like brothers since Trevor was raised by Justin's parents after his own died when he was 5 years old. The men now live together and own and run a dairy farm together. They've always shared women and haven't been looking forward to the time when they find their mates and have to stop sharing with each other.

Justin is at a bar when he smells his mate. He's not too thrilled because it means his and Trevor's close relationship is soon to be changed. He can't resist the pull though and finds a woman that calls to him like no other. He doesn't approach her immediately and is surprised when she approaches him. Kara's roommates dared her to ask Justin to dance and Kara was willing to risk the rejection for the the chance to be free of household chores for the next week. Justin agrees to the dance and it turns in to 3 dances as Kara and Justin start to get to know each other. Things don't go very far that night because Justin knows he has to give Kara time as she's human and wont understand the draw she'll be feeling because of them being fated mates. Justin does get Kara to agree to a date the next day though. He goes home and expects a confrontation with Trevor but doesn't expect Trevor to be pissed because Justin has Trevor's mate's scent all over him. Justin happily shares the news that she's his mate too and they will be sharing her...they just have to convince her to get involved with them both and tell her about them being werewolves. Knowing they have a lot ahead of them, Justin and Trevor try to figure out the best way to accomplish this. Justin keeps his date with Kara and brings her back to their house afterwards. Trevor finally gets to meet Kara and Kara quickly realizes that she's just as overly attracted to Trevor as she is to Justin. She's horrified at herself and wonders why Justin doesn't see to mind Trevor flirting with her. Things progress and Justin and Trevor try to get Kara used to them both and eventually take things further between them all.

Kara isn't very experienced and isn't sure what to do when she finds herself involved with 2 guys. She gets rather freaked out when she finds out about their other forms, first thinking their nuts and then realizing they aren't nuts and being freaked out about werewolves actually existing (and that she's involved with 2 of them). Fortunately, in this PNR world the fated mates feel a draw to each other that they can't deny or run from so Kara doesn't run and eventually becomes more comfortable with the situation. Unfortunately, there is some trouble from an enemy Trevor and Justin didn't know they had and this enemy is looking at Kara and someone he wants, once he does away with Trevor and Justin of course. The bad guy even lies to some other werewolves to get them to help take on Justin and Trevor. Things aren't easy but the trio manage to get through things and get closer the longer they're together. There is some drama towards the end and Kara is in some danger but Justin and Trevor are able to protect her and take out the threat to them. The story ends with the trio starting their HEA.

This was a very enjoyable story. I liked the 3 MCs, Kara, Justin and Trevor. Their story was pretty much what I'd expect for a menage PNR but that didn't keep it from being a good story that was worth the read. I'll probably read more of this series in the future. I'd recommend this book. :D

Justin Masters and best friend Trevor Shields had always hoped they would be in their thirties before they found their mate, but at 28 Justin can't believe she has just walked through the door. His feelings for the beauty are conflicted as the tiny gymnast is everything he could have hoped but it also means that his friend Trevor will be on his own without a mate.

Trevor knows the scent he is smelling when he walks through the door is his mate, what has him going crazy is why it is all over his best friend. When Trevor and Justin realize that they have been given a rare gift by sharing their mate, they are thrilled, but someone is after Kara and than there is her gymnastics that terrify the two wolves...

This was fun, a little rushed but overall good story.

It is a known fact that author take certain liberties with stories. With that knowledge, sometimes the reader is asked to suspend their belief system to accommodate these liberties. I'm good with that, obviously, since if I wanted a reality based read I wouldn't exactly be reading fiction romance wolf shifter books.

Unfortunately in this book, it wasn't the paranormal aspect that I had to suspend my belief with - it was the human aspect of the book that was completely and utterly unbelievable.

Will I read any more in this series? Absolutely not. The author's credibility is completely ruined, she mentions numerous times in this book that two wolves sharing a mate is rare - almost unheard of - but here it is happening book after book with Kara's friends and Justin's family none the less. If she can't abide by her own writing why should I?

So I read this book in a volume that had the first 5 books in one. Out of all 5 of them, this one was the best of them all. Which is quite sad considering this one wasn't all that great either.

I truly believe the author just wanted to write about sex, but didn't want her books to be flat out porn, so she incorporated in as little of a story as she possibly could. The actually story part was so terrible, I almost wish the author would've just stuck with a book full of sex.

Kara is a gymnast who he graduating and leaving her gymnastics career in a week. So first, Kara is only 21 or 22, how is she too old to keep a gymnastics career? She's a bit of a hard worker with school and gymnastics so that doesn't leave much time for relationships and a social life. This is all we know about this character. There were no other details about her except that she hopes to coach gymnastics during the summer and is obtaining her teaching degree.

Justin annoyed me so freakin much. Instead of being happy about finding his mate when he does, he's worried about what it means for his best friend? I get it that they've shared for so long, but after you find the one person fated to you for the rest of your life you shouldn't be worrying whether your friend will be mad because you both can not longer fuck the same women.

The whole story line of a stalker just fell through. How was the stalker to know that Kara was going to be Trevor's mate? He was already following her before and waiting to make his move, so how is this going to help with his revenge? This whole story just made no sense, and like I previously stated was probably just a poor excuse of a story for the author to publish porn.

Basis of plot is interesting but dialogue is stilted, timeline is unreasonable, and the family relationship is a bit unbelievable. Idk if you’re shifters, I don’t think anyone talks that openly about sex with their family. Everybody falls in love in a week and there’s continuity errors all over the place. It has some promise but needed more development and an editor.

Bottom line? THEY BOND HER WITHOUT HER CONSENT. Not okay.

Two stars because the sex scenes were alright.

Probably contains some spoilers.................................................

Kara is a goody two shoes who is dragged out by her friends and meets Justin. Justin is a wolf shifter who scents Kara as his mate. He soon discovers that Kara is also destined to be his best friend Trevor's mate so...yay? So they go ahead and mate her without telling her that they are wolves and basically a nymphomaniac for them. She stays strong for a little while and insists that she will become a teacher and maybe coach gymnastics...that is until she realizes how much energy it takes having sex with her two guys, who could work while dealing with that. Oh and there's a wolf that wants to kill Trevor and take Kara for whatever reasons. Oh and since her dad knew about shifters before he is totally cool with two guys screwing his daughter before he ever meets them.

This just didn't work for me. A lot of things were repeated over and over, like how having to wolves bond to one mate is extremely rare and that Kara would never be able to say no to them sexually....that just sounds really wrong.

Review for Nocturnereads.com

I am struggling with rating this book between a 3.5 and 4.
The Good- Hot Romance, steamy sex scenes, fun details. I love the Justin, Kara, Trevor ménage, they felt very developed and emotionally connected. There was light and fun humor that had me laughing out loud a couple of times. The romance to the story was spot on.

The not so good- Barry, I think if we were going to have a villain and POV sections from him that we needed to get a little deeper and spend more time with him. Even though the romance was hot, it all seemed very-been there done that.

Overall it was a fun, hot little shifter mating story. Definitely worth a read!

If you’re looking for an erotic romance and are not sure what book to open, I would definitely recommend picking up the first book in the Wolf Masters series. Even with the trend of not following through with the outside conflict, I never once hesitated from opening up the next book in the series.

I've been reading a lot of New Adult romances at the moment and I thought this one would fit right in. Unfortunately, I have to mark this one as DNF at 51%. Why would I stop halfway through the book? Because I had hoped it would get better at some point, hopefully after Kara, Justin and Trevor got together. Alas, it did not.

The writing in this book isn't too good in my opinion, which is mainly why I put it down. I've been reading so many amazingly written books lately, that you can immediately tell when something isn't up to standard. And this wasn't. There were too many names all thrown into the first bit of the book. The constant POV switch isn't usually something I have a problem with, but I like there to be a logic to it.

Also, throwing in the "bad" guy's POV definitely takes away from the suspense. Couldn't the author have added little clues here and there in the other three POVs? Make us wonder a little bit? Although, it's pretty obvious it had to do something with Trevor's parents dying in a "mysterious car crash no one ever spoke about". That's what it was called in the book. Like, no! That's not how you do this.

On top of that, it's the usual things that bug me with a lot of these paranormal shifter romances. The plots aren't original. "Alpha" (real Alpha or not) male meets his mate, she submits, he becomes controlling, and she never has another say in her life. These books never have a woman with a backbone. Never a female character who dares say no, tell her Alpha to stay put while she cleans up what is (usually) his mess. And this is no different.

So, yeah, when I was about halfway through and saw no signs of this improving in the slightest, I put it down. Honestly, I had expected a lot more, especially considering how many there are. Too bad because it's been a long time since I read a shifter romance I fully enjoyed.

Believe it or not, as popular as Becca Jameson is as an author, this is the first book of hers I've read, plus it's also the first book in her "Wolf Masters" series. Justin and Trevor have always been best friends so when Trevor's parents were killed when he was 5, Justin's family automatically took him in. Sharing everything as brothers growing up became second nature as they started dating and shared their women as well. Friday night is their one night for themselves. That's how Justin wound up at Boot Scooters bar and smelled her … his mate! Kara is just weeks from graduating college when her two best friends force her into going to Boot Scooters for a night of fun. Apparently, all she does is go to school, practice or compete in gymnastics, and then go home to sleep. There's instant chemistry between her and Justin. When a date is set for the next day she agrees to come to their dairy farm afterward to see the cows and meet Trevor. To her confused mind, she's instantly attracted to Trevor as well. It's a good thing because Trevor is her mate as well. Kara is human, Justin and Trevor are wolf-shifters, and pheromones are everywhere. While the situation is building we find out there's a villain in the mix who has a vendetta against Justin but intends to use Trevor as well before he takes Kara as his own. There were scenes where I was tickled and giggled out loud and then there were scenes that had my heart racing. I might have to check out the series to see where this author takes me next.

I think I would have enjoyed this a lot more if I actually read a plot that involved more than sex. I swear like 95% of the book was about Trevor, Justin and Kara doing the nasty. I absolutely love reading erotica and romance genres but when I literally start skipping chapters because I'm tired of the sex, I feel cheated! This had the potential to be such an excellent story, with Barry's crazy delusions and the mystery behind Trevor's parents death but those situations alone just took about two chapters combined and everything else was the three idiots fucking like bunnies! I was so disappointed and don't think I'll be picking up another book by this author.

Characters were good, very colorful and descriptive and the book moved at a great pace but it took me so much longer to finish it because every chapter after Kara meets the guys is nothing but sex. Believe it or not, that shit gets boring really fast.

Really enjoyed this book. I felt an instant connection to the M.C. Kara, a gymnast who at 21 was getting too old to compete. Kara was so sweet and innocent, cliched I know but it totally made sense. Kara has spent her teenage years training as a gymnast and studying. With her long hours of practice every day and competitions she had no time for liaisons. Justin and Trevor are a bit older and own and work their own dairy farm. I felt that the background of the men wasn’t as fleshed out as Kara’s was. I think part of this was the length of the story, it didn’t really have much room for much character development beyond the relationship of the three.
The big drama in the novel was a bit predictable I found and it was resolved a bit too easily. Also the explanation behind the threat was a bit anticlimactic.
Would still highly recommend this book.

Instead of eyes meeting across a crowded floor, it's justin scenting his lifemate somewhere in an overcrowded bar. He knows it's her without even seeing her face. Then she asks him to dance on a dare from her friends. The chemistry betwee them is tangible, they practically sizzle. But, here's the thing, she is equally atgracted to his best friend and roommate, Trevor. Kara really doesn't know what to do with these newfound feelings of lust. The guys takes care of those feelings by seducing her gogdther. Now all they have to do is tell her thdy are shifter wolves and she is their fated mate. It takes a lot of getting used to and add to that a crazed stalker out for revenge. It all works out in tbe end and they get their HEA.

I was expecting a bit more from this one when I read the blurb.
This is short paranormal romance, with no real plot or twist, zero suspense and plain characters.
A girl who we don't know much about comes into a bar, a guy - a wolf shifter instantly knows she is his mate. Everything is moving quickly, they click and there is attraction and then there is his friend who also claims her as his mate. This is very insta love without depth. I had a feeling the author added the stalker so there was at least some try to build suspense. I was disappointed and wanted something more in the characters, the dialogue and the whole story. Even the sex was repeating all over.

I guess it is OK for a reader looking for a quick paranormal romance read with insta love.

I absolutely loved this book. From the moment Kara walked into the bar, I was hooked. The chemistry between Kara, Justin, and Trevor is intense, emotional, and beautifully written. Their bond feels deep, protective, and genuine, not just passionate but full of loyalty and care.

Kara is a strong, relatable heroine, and watching her discover where she truly belongs was both touching and powerful. The wolf shifter world is vivid, the suspense kept my heart racing, and the romance made me swoon.

If you love paranormal romance with devoted alpha heroes, a bold menage dynamic, and real emotional depth, this book is a must read. It’s captivating, steamy, and unforgettable. Highly recommended.
