Gabriella dreamed of a wedding in Italy with the guy she had crushed on for years, and it was all coming true. For her step-sister.
Faced with the heartbreak, Gabriella silently deals with losing her childhood dream in front of the ones who snatched it from her. While she wades through her sister’s fairy tale, trying to stay afloat in tears, she catches the attention of Mr. Wright.
Ashton is forced to attend all the wedding festivities out of familial obligation, but Gabriella changes his perspective. He gets to see her if he shows up, and that’s motive enough. Getting her to fall in love with him is a bonus.
It isn’t long until Gabriella realizes she had made the right choice in falling in love, but she had made it with the wrong guy.
This New Adult, Cinderella retelling is full of sweet romance and first-love goosebumps.
Contemporary Romance and Romantic Suspense author, Kristy Gibs, lives in New Jersey with her husband and three young children. She grew up inspired by the words of Nicholas Sparks and Nora Roberts, and admits the epic fairy tales still sweep her off her feet. Currently, the author spends her free time shuffling her kids between dance and baseball, cooking, and avoiding airplanes at all costs.
Despite her slight phobia of flying, Kristy Gibs's writing dreams have soared within the last few years. Although the author says she prefers to keep her feet firmly planted on the ground, it's evident she lets her imagination be the one to take flight. Perhaps that's why she's already on her seventh book and has readers anxiously waiting for more.
Her pages are an escape, a world where she can be anything she wants to be. As much as she loves a happily ever after, and is living one of her own, she believes they take work. Butterflies are just the light breeze that fans the heated blush of a lover's cheek. Relationships are built on trust, require respect and sacrifice of pride.
Readers agree: her books are full of truths. To get into the real HEA, Kristy Gibs peels back the sweet layers of romance and exposes the heart-wrenching moments of love. More often than not, they're sweeter than sin.
This is The Wright Choice for a very clean and sweet romance read, with nice and not-nice characters (as a jealous and mean stepsister), well written with some angst and drama. I was just not the target audience for this…🤷🏻♀️
The Wright Choice (Once Upon A Heartbreak Collection) is a new adult Cinderella retelling with a flair. I adored the sweet romance and all the gushy first-love moments. I admired Gabriella's character and I be sweet on Ashton. A fun read with pandemonium brought out by supporting character's. The words keep the pages turning with this prominent reworking of a beloved classic fairytale. Absolutely loved this Cinderella retelling and recommend reading it along with the other stories in the collection.
The Wright Choice is my first read by this author.. but it certainly won’t be my last.
Ella is a lovely character and I was wishing her a happily ever after all the way through. I felt I was going through the feels with her. Ashton.. oh I want my own Ashton. Brilliant storyline.. LOVED IT!!
I absolutely loved this story. This author did well with her retelling of Cinderella.. I can’t wait to read more from her.
Love this book! We all have our first crush that we want to believe is love. And for most of us it comes crashing down. Enter Ashton... ugh I wish I had an Ashton! Strong, loving, caring, protective, and everything Gabriella needs to really feel true love!! Love the family dynamics in this book, and a blended family finally coming together as a whole ❤

This is Ella and Ashton's story and it is a must read. Ella is a talented artist and her senior year she will be studying abroad which was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Ella and Preston had known each other for years but hadn't seen each other in a long time, Ella always had a bit of a crush on him and they kept in touch for six months while she was away then he told her that he had met someone and that really upset Ella but it wasn't until she came home that she realised that he was engaged to her step sister Mia who had always made her life hell and Ella didn't know what she had done for her to be this way. The engagement party was in full swing and Ella needed some time alone and that is when she met Ashton who she liked straight away but she couldn't go there as he was Preston's cousin but they didn't seem to get along the same as Ella and Mia. The more time Ashton and Ella spent together the stronger there feelings towards each other grew but would it turn into anything lasting or will they remain just friends and miss out on something special. There are twists and turns along with betrayal, jealousy, hope, love and difficult situations that have you turning the pages to see what would happen next between Ella and Ashton and that is what makes this book a real page turner and so addictive that I couldn't put it down. I have read many of Kristy Gibs books and she never disappoint you as she is an amazing author and writer and her books are definitely worth reading

This was…. Whatever. I know I should use better words to describe this but it’s hard…. The writing was okay. Some of Emery’s conversations with her friend Heidi were annoying but it depicted her age well. As for the plot, it was a bit too much drama and miscommunication and mistrust. Nothing too original. The romance was also just okay.., I found it annoying that they had so much sex instead of communicating better. I’m wondering if I’m aging out of this genre or I’ve read too much of it.
Loved this book. There were so many twists and turns and surprises that I kept wondering what was going to happen next. From Gabriella's step-sister getting the guy and the wedding that Gabriella has wanted for so many years to her step-brother and her best friend making eyes at each other. And then there's Ashton, who has ties to multiple facets in this wild and crazy web.
The characters were fun and for the most part well-developed. The storyline was great (although there are flashbacks to the past that I wasn't thrilled about even if I understood why they were there) and I just couldn't want to see if there was a happy ending. It was a great book that I would highly recommend.

Um, can I get an Ashton?!? This guy is everything that you would want in a great guy and I WANT ONE! This book was an easy and sweet read but definitely not without it's drama, but that is what made it fun! :)
All in all this is a great Cinderella retelling and has all of the aspects that you will adore about the fairy tale with a touch of spice to help make it interesting. It was fun and sweet and I enjoyed reading about Ella and Ashton and all of the other crazies in the book! I give it 4 outta 5 stars and looking forward to the next book in the collection!

Ella is devastated to find out that her crush is marrying her stepsister. At their engagement party, she meets Ash, her crush’s cousin. Ash is utterly captivated when he sees Ella and pursues her. Their relationship is quickly rocked by mistruths and a whole ton of drama. Through it all, they had the support of best friends and a sibling.
I thought this clean and sweet romance was entertaining and enjoyable to read. The main characters are adorable together and totally likable.

This is my first Gibs' story and I am glad I gave The Wright Choice an Chance!
Different than my normal romance trope, which provided a breath of fresh air!
Gabriella (I love this name!) and Ashton may just get a happily ever after. It won't be easy, and that makes the reader's journey wonderful! Heck, without some angst and issues, it wouldn't be believable right?
The words flowed smoothly, and it was easy to feel good almost throughout! Remember the angst? LOL
This is the romance between Gabriella/Ella, who believes she is in love with the fiancee of her step-sister, and Ashton, who attends the wedding activities due to family obligations. They are instantly attracted to one another when they meet. This is an entertaining read with great characters and a storyline with strong emotions, fun, and steamy attraction.

The great plot was professionally written, and the characters were so well developed that as I turned each page the chemistry between the characters kept me totally hooked until the very last page!
A little different retelling of Cinderella that I loved. The author did a great job of giving us characters we could sink our teeth into and I was drawn to Ella and Ashton from the moment they meet. Sometimes the one we think is the one is only a stepping stone to real love. Their chemistry was amazing and the story had some drama thrown in to keep me on my toes.
I enjoyed seeing Gabriella Costa and Ashton Wright's story come together with all its ups and downs, and jealousies. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Ella comes home after a year abroad for her degree, and finds that her 6itchy stepsister is engaged to Preston, Ella's forever crush. Enter Ashton, Preston's cousin. He sets out to woo Ella. I like her a lot - beautiful, smart, so talented. But Ashton? Completely swoon-worthy. Mia and Preston deserve each other. I loved reading this book, a real feel-good story with a happy ending. I love this story, it has the classic drama of a romance. Nothing too over the top and lots of fun characters. There is even a good redemption story which was a pleasant and unexpected surprise. It has a bit of a Sabrina feel to the story but unique and worth reading.

Poor Gabriella, she's had a crush on a guy for a long time, and now she has to watch her stepsister live the fairytale with him. Fate has other plans for her though so she catches the eye of Mr. Wright instead who is a much better match for her. Ashton isn't happy to have to be present with the wedding stuff, and since it's out of familial duty he's not going to get out of all of it, but luckily, Gabriella makes it so much better. The Wright Choice is a very sweet retelling of Cinderella with it's modern twist, and I seriously loved it. I hope everyone will hit their one click buttons since sometimes we just need some sweet fairy tales in our lives! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is a twist on a Cinderella love story. Neither Gabriella nor Ashton want to be at this wedding, but for different reasons. When they meet, they have an attraction between them. Their feelings grow when they spend more time together. Ashton is a great guy who ended up falling hard for her. Ella is wary, but cannot deny that this is different than what she ever felt before. Sweet love story

This is a clean and sweet romance. The author did a good job with her retelling of Cinderella. Gabriella and Ashton are so great for each other. I like how they story develops. Ella and Preston had been friends. She had a secret crush on him. He tells her he has met someone, only to find out it is her step sister. She is crushed. At the engagement party she meets her prince charming, Ashton. This is a good story from beginning to end.
A very emotionally charged story that I enjoyed reading. I felt her pain and anguish. The storyline was well written and easily brought the likable characters to life. I really enjoyed the book once his character started to engage her.
