What a great way to be introduced to new Authors. This anthology of 5 Australian authors is a brilliant read. I throughly enjoyed each and every novella.

Love on the Sweeping Plains by Leanne Lovegrove is a great easy to read rural love story. Great story development, strong and believable characters

Love in the ragged mountain ranges by Susan Mackie. In this love story is hope of new beginnings and the building of trust. Typical of Susan’s writing there are always dogs and horses. Beautiful setti

Just loved this anthology written by 5 different Australian authors. Each story was different with a variety of settings and characters. Light romance reading at its best. Loved each story as much as the next and can't wait to read more book by these authors. Highly recommend. ...more

Thanks Susan, Louise, Rhonda, Leanne & Emma for sending us a copy.
Love is universal and comes in many forms and guises.
An emotion that fulfils the heart and one that helps validate.
It can turn sour, turn violent and turn your thoughts and heart strings against the notion making it seem your not worthy of it.
Second chance love is the opportunity to succeed and prove everyone is entitled to the warmth and affection it can bring.
Five very unique and well written stories by five talented authors

I love anything by Leanne Lovegrove, so when she approached me, I graciously accepted the chance to read and review Love In A Sunburnt Land. It’s a fantastic collection of rural Australian romances and each story holds up against the next. Each author delivers a carefully crafted story and a cast of well crafted Australian characters.

If you want to support female Australian authors and enjoy rural Australian romance, this fantastic collection of stories for the price of a cup of coffee really is

A great collection of Australian rural romance stories including descriptions of Australian landscape and architecture.

I particularly liked the reference to saddlery and horses.

It made me want to hop on my horse with my 'blue jeans' and boots on!

And, of course my Akubra hat!
I received a copy of this from one of the authors in exchange for an honest review. I was a little apprehensive about accepting as I am not typically a fan of anthologies as I just find them too short to really get into the plot/characters and I find that it is rare for the different writing styles to merge well so I usually end up liking some stories, but hating others until overall the book just feels average. Yet, I had promised myself that 2021 was going to be more about supporting local Aus ...more

I have never had to use my dictionary when reading as much as with this series! Aussies' have some very different words which made for difficult reading at times because I didn't understand what they were referring to. However, the stories were well writing, all different and set in different areas of Australia. It was fun to learn about some of the different customs and way of life (as compared to my being Canadian), and even though it is fiction, you still get a sense of real life. Each story ...more

This sweet and cozy anthology consisted of 5 short stories. Each one unique, but all sharing that common, warm and fuzzy feeling of love.

From the Sweeping Plaines, to the Ragged Mountains, off in the Far Horizons, to find Love By The Jewel Sea, at the Core of My Heart, I loved each and every one of these stories! ❤❤❤❤❤

Love a good story. There are no bad stories.
Every person and every place has a story to tell.
Do you drive by old homes and wonder about the lives of those that built them, lived there, loved and lost?
Writers tell such stories. Sometimes real, sometimes imagined.
Often both.

Susan Mackie.
