I loved Leading the Blind by BA Tortuga. This is the seventh book in the Roughstock series. I didn't realize that this was the seventh book in the series, but I didn't have a hard time following along. After reading the blurb, I was like, who doesn't want to see if a blind cowboy can make a comeback in the big league and take the championship before the association finds out he's blind and forces him to quit? I know I did, and I'm glad that I did. The story is full of action and more than one ba ...more

I loved the premise of this story, with Jason determined to see his bull riding career through to the point he can retire, despite his blindness. It’s a compelling story with its mix of drama, action, romance, and a strong sense of family. This author is one of my go to authors for cowboy stories.

I liked both Jason and Bax, and how they are both dealing with the impact of bull riding on their bodies. I thought the author did a great job in describing not just the physical,

How sweet! Jason and Andy truly show how relationships should be. They love and support each other so well. It was wonderful to see them together.
I wanted to smack them for such a crazy idea, but they pulled it off.
It’s a well written story. The characters were real, the settings vivid. I’d love to explore that beach house! I could feel the sun on my face and the breeze in my hair. Well done!

This is another amazing book by one of my favorite authors and I loved everything about it. Leading the Blind is well written, emotional, gritty, inspiring, full of hope, the characters are amazing and I love the storyline. Bax and Jason are perfect for each other and I love the lengths Bax is willing to go to as he helps Jason realize his dream in spite of the huge obstacles in his way. With the help of their friends they do everything possible to keep Jason safe and keep his secret as he compl ...more

Wow; just...wow! This book was fantastic!  Jason and Andy were two exceptionally written characters, and everyone was likable. The storyline was so well developed and easy to read. It will have you feeling every emotion possible.

What really stood out (for me) was how Andy loved and cared for Jason after his injury. Getting back to being the top bull rider, where Jason wants to be, is full of obstacles for both of them. But can he do it?

Everything about Leading the Blind was outstanding. I

I was blown away by this book and can’t say enough good about it. It is very obvious that BA Tortuga knows what she is talking about as to bull riding as there is a wealth of detail in this story that to me could only come from knowing the sport. Even the idea of riding a bull terrifies me never mind doing it blind. The thoughts and feelings of the characters as they go through the season are so well portrayed that all these characters came fully alive to me and I honestly laughed and cried out ...more

(Spoilers!)I needed this book. The laughs, the tears, the friendship in the Roughstock world is comfort for my soul. The characters in the Roughstock series feel like old friends after keeping up with them for years. I have been waiting with bated breath for the next book in the series. BA did not disappoint me with Leading the Blind. Though I was hoping Jason would get his sight back in this book, it doesn't negate the possibility in a future book. I love Jason and Andy as a couple and they rea ...more
