Poetic, comic, philosophical and farcical, here is an in-depth scrutiny of the most glorious, gratifying, grating and gruesome pop lyrics of the last 50 years.
The idea here is simple - Copperwaite presents the reader with a collection of humorous graphs which depict the lyrics to popular songs in chart form. It's a great concept, but I'm not convinced by the execution. Some of the charts are just stupid, while others feel lifeless and uninspired.
It's an alright read for the novelty, but there are countless other books out there that deserve more attention - read one of those, instead of this.
