It was supposed to be a typical night at the hospital, but waking up in a stranger’s bed was anything but typical. Now Emma was stuck with a man who claimed to be a creature of the night, a seductive one at that. Now she is on the run from an enemy long forgotten who is bent on taking her. Nickolie was getting bored with his life. Always running errands for an angel who had a problem with promiscuity and living with a pack of werewolves. The night he was sent to retrieve Emma changed all of that. Now he is in a battle to protect a woman who has changed everything for him. A threat from a past she knew nothing of comes tearing its way into her life and Nickolie is the only one to stand in its way.
Did you know? To enchant is to cast a spell over someone like a witch might do or just like this book. It also means to attract or catch someone's attention in a less mystical way. . The book has a captivating storyline. I remember the scene where Nickolie had slipped into the hospital unnoticed. Not too hard to accomplish seeing how the staff expected people to come and go. This late at night, they didn’t seem to notice or care that he had just waltzed in through the front doors. . Meanwhile, the nurses and doctors rushed from one area to another, but a group of them seemed to have gathered. He knew he would need to try and get some information on who he was looking for. . Thrilling and satisfying are the best words to describe this great paced story that is full of twists, and I'm sure other readers are going to love it!
I really enjoyed this book! It was the type of book I could happily sit and read in one go. The characters were fun and well developed, each one had their own distinct personality which left me wanting to read their book! Rei was definitely a favourite, I look forward to reading more about her. Nick and Emma are a lovely couple and their story was well told. I loved the concept between angels and vampires, that was a different twist. The book was a good pace and flowed well. Cannot wait to see what this author does next.
A new author with her first book. It's a promising series with a large world of various creatures. The characters are interesting and the development is great. My favorite character in this book is Rei, a sassy witch her makes a couple appearances, which are hilarious. The story between Nickolie and Emma is well paced. The entire book kept me intrigued to the point I couldn't put it down. I am looking forward to the next book!
I really loved this book! It is the beginning of a series and I love the direction it is going already. Vampires, angels, dragon shifters, wolf shifters, fey! It is definitely a fresh look at paranormal. I absolutely can’t wait to read the next one!!
This was a decent read. It was fast paced and fun! I read purely out of entertainment!
The love between the FMC and the MMC was very, very quick. I felt like there wasn’t enough time to show character growth other than little snippets. And then the plot was just them getting lucky with every obstacle.
However, this was a very entertaining light read so other than the things mentioned above, I quite enjoyed the book. The spicy scenes (which I’m assuming most of us were here for were fantastic 🤭).
3 1/2 stars. Attractive cover. Loved the premise of the story, PNR remains one of my all time go to reads.
The blurb should have been an indicator it needed more work editing wise. Word repetition and typos were frustrating. Sadly it’s a dnf for me, I couldn’t overlook them.
Nicole has an assignment from his angel, to watch over Emma. She is some kind of magical being that heals. As they learn more about each other and their abilities, they fall for each other. She is the last light fae royalty, and has a mission to accomplish with the help of her mate and friends.
While I’m not a super big fan of instant love, I did quite enjoy reading about these two. If you love fantasy and all things creatures with a mystery component this book is definitely right up your alley. I adored the ending.
