If my childhood taught me anything, it was to survive.
Now I have a deep-rooted mistrust of people and a wall of steel and ice surrounding my heart.

So, when Reed Ryan steps into my life, I know I need to keep him far away.
He’s everything I grew up hating. Fighting. Fleeing.
Devastatingly handsome, he looks like a drunken regret and has heartbreak written over every inch of h

"Emma Wade, I’m gonna kiss you unless you tell me not to.”

When I see that my favorite author drops a surprise release I immediately stop what I'm doing and read it. This was like going back home to the books and series that made me fall in love with her writing to begin with. It was just heartbreaking and painful and beautiful and the feels! It also makes me want to go back and reread her older books.

Really loved this one!
I have not read one of molly's books for a while but reading this just makes me want more from her.
Another fantastic read that did not disappoint, Now where can I get me a Reed Ryan and how fast can he get here? Because this girl is in love!
Hopeless romantics you are going to love it!
Trigger warning possibility for some victims of sexual abuse so proceed with caution.

"The way he waited for me to come to him, then held me close as if he wouldn’t let me go. The comfort and safety I felt in his arms, the love wrapping around us, I wanted it forever."

Small town enemies to lovers sucked me in and didn't let me go! Emma's tragic past rife with trauma brought her to her grandmother's door after many years gone and what she finds is nothing short of healing, life changing magic in the form of family and the most unlikely suitor. I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and I

Tell me something about you.....

"Lie to Me" is the book you never knew you needed. What began as a forgotten mystery, has now been put to rest. Molly McAdams gives reader's the conclusion they've been missing since we found out #hesoverseas. Well, welcome home Reed Ryan. Stateside never looked so good. This books has everything. A small town, law enforcement, and the most perfect bookstore. Molly will have you wishing you lived in Colby just to get a taste of Lala's cooking and a sense of family

This book y’all…I know, I know, I say this about all of Molly’s books but I just can’t help it. Her books are just that good. Reed Ryan, the poor forgotten baby. If you aren’t apart of Molly’s Monsters then you wont truly understand the joke, but to be honest when Molly first announced this surprise release last weekend, I didn’t even recognize the last name, I was just excited to have a new Molly book.

Emma Wade has been through some…bad things. Her life growing up was anything but sunshine and

eek i was so excited when Molly McAdams made this surprise release and I was even more excited to learn it was "the missing Ryan son" from her "Forgiving Lies" Series which a absolutely loved.
This is Reed and Emma's story and WoW WHAT A STORY !!!!
I immediately connected to this book and characters!
Reed was a presence right from the beginning and you just felt how important he was going to be.
Emma was fleeing a trauma and ended up at her grandmothers a broken girl. Her life had never been easy, a

THIS BOOK😍😍😍

I feel my words can’t even begin do it justice but here goes. Molly McAdams has been a long time favorite author and this book was a huge reminder as to why. Every single part of it drew me in. From the Beautiful almost lyrical writing, to the push and pull banter between the two Mcs. Throw in some amazing side characters, a quaint small town atmosphere with it all centered around a beautiful love story and I was hooked. In a way it was almost a second chance story not in the typica

Emma has not had it easy. Her addict mum dragged her all over the country. She was exposed to things children should never be exposed to. Her mum was next to useless. Those that should have protected not only failed her but abused her. Needless to say she doesn’t trust easily!

After another dangerous encounter she ups and goes back to her Gran. Her horrible excuse of a mother had lied and so her Gran is a little cautious with her but also introduces her to Nova, her little sister. Whilst there s

Reed Ryan was exactly what Emma Wade needed in her life. Only problem was, he was everything she ever feared in her life. To say she had a horrible childhood was an understatement. When she returns to her grandmother's home in South Carolina after a horrible night gone wrong in Manhattan, Emma just wants to lick her wounds. Reed is instantly intrigued by Emma but doesn't understand why she loathes his very presence. He slowly tries to lower her walls, but knows he needs to crawl along in order n ...more

When I opened up my email to see Molly McAdams's newsletter and that she had a surprise release, I was excited. I'll read anything she writes. But then I read that it was about the "missing" Ryan son, that excitement jumped and I dove in as soon as I could. Molly's Forgiving Lies series is one of my absolute favorites and getting this surprise story just made my day. LIE TO ME is Reed and Emma's story. Emma has had a hard life and with nowhere to go, she seeks out her Lala, who she hasn't seen i ...more

This was such an incredible book. Emma’s past just tore my heart apart. With everything she’s been through, it’s a miracle she is still incredibly strong and standing on her own two feet. Reed is the most patient character I’ve ever read. He doesn’t know Emma’s background but knows she doesn’t trust men and he takes tiny steps to gain her trust. He reads her body so well and knows when to keep moving forward and when Emma’s had too much and needs a breath of air. He’s so protective of her and he ...more

I read maybe one or two Molly McAdams books a year. My heart literally wants to runaway when I say the words Molly McAdams. Lie to Me is exactly what I expect from McAdams. She left me feeling so much and wondering why I put myself through her books.

Reed Ryan is my FAVORITE Molly McAdams hero!! I loved everything about him. He was the broody, bad boy but the sweet heart of gold. There was so much more than what meets the eye with him. Emma Wade is the broken girl just trying to survive. She's j

This storyline had me hooked right from the very start, I have been looking to read the story of the missing Ryan child for so many years and this book did not disappoint!! It was everything I could have hoped and dreamed!

This book is absolutely a standalone but I feel like I was able to appreciate the storyline more since I’ve read stories of some of these characters in the

Well I don’t have any words for this book. Well not many. But I can say this. This book and these characters are a reminder of why I love Ms. Mcadam’s books. Not that I needed one but this book took me back to the emotions and getting lost exactly the way I did in Taking Chances. Reed Ryan is perfect and the ultimate book boyfriend. Like just wow! And Emma, this girl is something fierce and amazing and just guys I literally have no words. And now it’s time to go back and read Kash and Rachel’s s ...more

All the feels

Wow. Emma and Reed are two seriously wounded people who just so happen to find each other at the worst possible time. Normally, I shy away from contemporary romance because of the “great miscommunication” that always seems to happen, but Lie to Me was different. So different and good.

The only thing I wasn’t too fond of was Reed’s family. Crazy people, they are. But this is also the first book I’ve read from this author, so maybe a little more backstory is available in the other boo

I'm pretty sure this book hangover is going to last forever. This book pulled at my heartstrings, along with some many more emotions. I absolutely LOVED Reed Ryan he was so understanding, he didn't let Emma push him away. Emma had some many demons and know she couldn't love like others. This book was just fabulous, the other characters were wonderful and little Nora she was definitely a needed bonus from all the dark things in the story. Super Sexy!

There were so many great things about this book, except such a weak female. I know she went through the worst life imaginable, but she seem to pick up her feet some, but still in the end she took blame for things that didn’t have anything to blame her for? Also, she told lots about herself, but not really the most important thing like her time in New York? I get she wanted to protect people, but it was threatening so many other peoples lives, I think she should have said something soo

DNF 85%

I guess I need to give contemporary romance a break for a bit. This had such good reviews but this just missed the spot for me. The repetition and overly wordiness was too much. I made it further than any other of my DNF books that I have read before. I just couldn't read one more of the same scenario that I had read 50 other times in the same book. I know, that is a bit harsh. I have never read Molly McAdams before and in looking up information on her and her books, she has a great follo

No spoilers only opinion

This book is a complete standalone, but if you're like me and have read some of Molly's other books or will have you thinking. I was so glad to "see" Kash and Rachel again and remembered how much I loved their lovestory. I did really like reading about Emma and Reed, and knew she had been through a lot, but I also wish they had more time to be happy as they were getting to know each other - but that's just what I've been missing lately.

Heartbreaking but Beautiful

I wish I could give this book a higher rating because it deserves it so much. Emma's journey was so heartbreaking but her finding Reed was beautiful and his patience with her was so sweet. I loved their story, it is one that will stick with you forever. I loved Lala and her quick wit and her loving nature. Such a fantastic book with a beautiful ending.

So-So

Found the book to be a little drawn out. While I understood Emma's tragic life her hate and leaping to conclusions on a constant basis was tiring. Thankfully that calmed down some at the end. I felt like there were too many moving parts at one point...Emma's demons, Reed's family life, brain tumors, dirty lawyers, family secrets, and more. In the end everything was tossed in together and quickly wrapped up. It was an okay read.

Molly Mcadams never ceases to amaze me!! I know without a doubt I will enjoy a book if it’s written by her. The little details she adds in, the way she brings the characters to life....I mean seriously I want to sit in on Ryan family get together!! Can you imagine?!?
Emma is a heart breaking character who deserves so much more than horrible life she’s had...
Reed is a good man who deserves someone to love him for who he is not what he is....
And Nora well she won my heart instantly!!

I cried so hard.

I really enjoyed this book. It’s a little slow getting into but definitely worth reading. I knew Emma’s life was bad, but when she opens up to Reed, we find out how bad it really was. I was gutted so much for her. It wasn’t until Reed visits his family that I realized Kash was his Dad, I’ve loved each book in this series. Loved how patient Reed is with Emma. It’s also a very heartwarming ending. I highly recommend this book.

Amazing!

How do you weave a story that breaks your heart as it slowly sews it back together better than it was before. Molly McAdams has a way of doing weaving her stories that has you begging for more.

I love Reed and Emma so much! Their HEA is the perfect ending to a utterly devastating story in the best way possible.

Heartache to Love

I started reading this book and I couldn’t put it down. Emma living like she did with her druggie mother and all the strange men her mom brought to their house. Her grandmother who tried to keep Emma and now has her little sister. Emma and Reed (my middle son’s name), everything they go through for their HEA. I cried for Emma and her story.

Holy cow, Molly McAdams knows how to tear your heart apart and then piece it back together. This book has so much angst but every moment is worth it.
